Ocean Coral Spring: Great Resort

Overall the resort was amazing. The only thing we would change is that the resort should have more outdoor umbrellas to provide shade, even in the children's area there were only two umbrellas. The food was great especially the Italian restaurant. Staff were friendly.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort, enjoyed our stay

We just got back this week and really enjoyed this resort. They pay a lot of attention to detail with the little things they offer around the resort like archery, Martini/Margarita bars at night, a night with bouncy castles and popcorn for the kids. They do fun little contests on the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon and at night they bring out all the winners and give them Dominican rum to celebrate. Our only complaint was the volume at which they put the audio. It was so loud! The selection of restaurants is good. We found the food to be varied enough that we weren't getting tired of anything. They have an amazing coffee shop (with probably the best AC on the resort) that had a nice vibe and was a great place to cool down mid day. The buffet could get quite busy, but the staff really hustle to get tables cleared and ready for the next people. The beach was okay. A bit rocky but overall nice. They have enough beach loungers, but it doesn't feel like it because people often reserve loungers at both the pool and the beach at the same time despite there being signage to not. But that's more of a problem with vacationers than the resort itself. Highly recommend a nighttime beach visit. The breeze is lovely at night. Drinks were good. Good selection and generally well made. Our first 5 days we had Issa working at the pool bar and she was fantastic. Always happy and singing, and seemed to really focus on mixing drinks well. She was gone our last 2 days and her replacement wasn't quite as good, but still okay. The guy who runs the nightly martini/margarita/gin bars (if I'm remembering correctly his name was Carlos) is great. He was so friendly and worked hard to make everyone fun, yummy drinks. The staff in general just seem really happy to be there. They do everything with a great attitude and never seemed bothered if you asked for anything. Reception was super helpful getting us a shower since we had to check out at noon but our shuttle wasn't until 6pm. And the bell boys/front staff were always super eager to help with transportation questions for shopping etc. There is a trolley to get around which is nice if you're going with kids or someone older, but honestly it's very walkable. They have nice little paths as well that get you off the main walkway and give a bit more privacy. Rooms were nice. No matter what you turn the AC to our room was pretty consistently at 23.5 but it felt refreshing in comparison to the heat outside. Shower was warm. Tubs were a bit older and I probably wouldn't want to soak a kid in them but the shower portion was fine. Beds were cozy enough. We left notes for the housekeeping requesting extra water and they were always good to ensure we had plenty. Also the public/shared area bathrooms were some of the cleanest, best kept public bathrooms I've used. They must be cleaning them constantly. Honestly a great resort that seems happy to meet your needs and fill your requests, and they really just work hard to ensure you have a great vacation. Would go back again, with or without kids. They have plenty for everyone!!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice resort if you like walking

We stayed on the El Beso side of Ocean El Faro in April . The Management staff were phenomenal at accommodating our requests and we were able to get an end unit swim up suite in building 17 and they even had champaign waiting for us to help us celebrate our anniversary. This is a nice resort but we did run into a few issues, however, they were not significant enough to ruin the vacation. Pros: - Having a swim up suite was a huge bonus! We loved enjoying the pool from the comfort of our own r [... read more]oom -The al la cartes were great, especially Sakura -Lots of entertainment, but most of the evening entertainment was at the front lobby -Room service was good and it was available until 11 for everyone ( I believe it is 24 hours if you upgrade to privledged) -Staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff were great at getting everyone to participate in activities! -Large rooms with huge beds -The Pez Dama restaurant was great! Because it was only available to El Beso guests, it was never busy. -Lots of pools plus a lazy river that was a lot of fun! Bonus points for having a pool bar attached to the lazy river!! -I felt very safe at this resort -Mikes coffee shop was great, especially their specialty drinks and smoothies. They also have a great selection of pastries -Never had an issue finding water. There were Water coolers at the bars and Mikes and the fridge was always stocked. The staff will bring extra water if you request it. Cons - Not sure is this is unique to this resort but the price of items at the resort store were outrageous! 2 bags of chips were $18 USD and Sunscreen was around $40 USD! -LOTS of walking!! This was a con for us but may be great for others. I think it bugged me more because I hurt my foot just before our trip so the hike to the front was difficult, especially in the heat -Lack of shuttles... most large resorts have shuttles that will circle around so you never wait long but we rarely saw them. You could call and request one but you would have to wait outside and depending on how busy they are, it might take awhile. -The pools were great but they were very cloudy when we arrived. The staff did treat the pools including the swim ups the day after we arrived but that caused algae to sink to the bottom of our swim up and it took another day and a half to get it vacuumed. -This is the dampest room we have stayed in. I think the higher rooms are ok but if you are on a main floor, there is a lot of moisture which actually made the bedding damp. This was by far not a deal breaker but it was a little uncomfortable but we got used to it by the third day and never really noticed it after that. -The resort beach is rocky (giant slabs of rock) and very rough. We hardly ever saw anyone swimming while we were there. There is a lagoon which was actually closer to our building (17) then the resort beach and it was STUNNING! Lots of folks just went over there to swim, it was calm and clear. Overall: I did like this resort and I think it is great for anyone without mobility issues. We would probably not return because we found it difficult for us to participate in a lot of the activities due to my foot injury and the distance between our room and the main lobby. It is a very beautiful resort and the staff are great, especially Ermin (bellboy)- he really went above and beyond to make sure everyone was taken care of. The food overall is decent (but somewhat limited selections at times) and we were always able to fill our plates. The desserts are Amazing! This resort also had the perfect mix of quiet areas and loud, entertaining areas. Although we won't be returning, I would recommend it to others depending on what they are looking for.

Ocean Eden Bay: Good vacation but

The food was good and lots of choice. We found bugs in our room a few times even though we never brought food inside our room. The beach is really rocky. Need sandals to go in the ocean. Half of the staff was great the other half was jaded. Really windy by building designs.

Ocean Eden Bay: not a 5 star

service is not even close to a 5 star rooms are very worn for a new resort beach is a 1 star understaffed food is 3 star very unhappy work force time share sale people l have traveled extensively and can adjust to any resort, but this resort needs a new valuation

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort.

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Blue and Sand. Our rooms were perfect. The resort is kept very clean, staff are efficient and friendly. Food was very good in all areas we went to.Having the trolley available was convenient also although it is not a long distance from one end to the other it was good to have at times. Beach was wonderful.

Ocean El Faro: Great girls week away at the Ocean El Faro!!

This hotel was beautiful. The workers above reproach. Service was impeccable. The pools, especially the lazy river, were great. Although the hotel beach was very rocky and, in my opinion, not somewhere safe to swim, the public lagoon attached/beside the resort beach more than made up for it. Stayed on the El Beso side....food was great. never made it to Sakura (the Japanese restaurant), and was not impressed with the Italian restaurant, but Blue Moon, El Peso, El Marchado..the burger place  [... read more]beside the lazy river and Mike coffee house....all amazing. My overall for my stay is 8 out of 10 (and only because we lost AC halfway through the week and the room was hot)

Ocean Maya Royale: Awesome Resort

We had a fantastic week at Ocean Maya Royale. Clean resort, great staff, good food although the buffet needs a bit improvement. Al a cartes were great. The entertainment team MAKES THIS RESORT! Jules, Kendall, Autero and Adela are absolutely amazing. They work hard long hours and always with a smile & high energy. Would definitely go back.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good Resort

Hotel was nice. Our room was on the modern side. Did hear alot of people complaining about mold in the older rooms and smelling musty. AC was out randomly thru out the resort. Definitely a lack of chairs and especially umbrellas. Pool area has spot where the concrete is starting to deteriorate. Lack of staff keeping the pool deck clean, limes from drinks scattered around, empty sunscreen bottles. Not convenient the way they do the reservations for the restaurants, you go the day you want the re [... read more]servation and book it, having to line up before 7am, so much for being on vacation. The rest of the restaurants are first come first serve. Never experienced this before, some of the waiting times where an hour or more. I think its so much easier and convenient to book all the el la cartes at once. Food and drinks were very good.

Ocean Coral Spring: Very impressive resort!

We were very impressed with the whole resort! It was very clean and there was lots of staff. Employees of all departments were very polite and respectful. There was daily entertainment whether during the day or the evening! Definitely am returning there!!!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Amazing resort

The kids park is amazing. The bartenders there take care of the kids and get them their special drinks , they realize it's kids first there. I want to go back already . Buffet was amazing close to our room and always something kids would eat . And the sports bar being open late all night was awesome, as our flight was delayed and we just missed dinner but they were more than accommodating there.

Ocean El Faro: Amazing resort

We visited march 27 -April 3rd and this was amazing holiday the resort is well kept the food is amazing entertainment is great so much to do only down side is the beach is not the greatest very rocky and not suitable for my 9 year old I will for sure be back to this resort ❤️

Ocean Maya Royale: Great resort

I really enjoyed this resort for all it had to offer. It was visually beautiful, the staff were very friendly and was a smaller resort which I prefer. A big thank you to Melanie from Tripcentral for recommending this place and I can see a future booking happening!

Ocean Blue and Sand: A resort that has it all!

We enjoyed our stay. Rooms were well kept. Great meals. Great variety of restaurants. Enjoyed the pool. Enjoyed the beach. Enjoyed activities. Great excursions. Could do without the Premium Club Promotion meeting. Fix the Bingo games online, as Internet kept cutting out. Overall a great experience.

Ocean El Faro: Good hotel, poor staff

The layout of the hotel is great, beach is rocky, rooms are decent, food decent, not great, 1-2h wait to get food at a la carte restaurants. Food is not a la carte quality. Serious staff shortage, line ups for everything at the buffet due to this, staff unhappy about tips, constantly waiting for more....

First things first. I've been to many resorts in DR and I can truthfully say this place by far has the best food around. Always fresh, different dishes daily. A job well done by the resort staff. We went to 1 a la carte because the buffet was that good. The grounds were meticulously clean, as was the pool. Mikes Cafe was great for a specialty coffee and desserts. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Great resort!

One of the best resort that we have been too! Very clean, hospital, great food, very friendly staff. Many options for restaurants. Love the drinks, many variety. Love how big the resort is. Very spacious. Pool was nice and warm. They go above and beyond! Highly recommend the resort. 5 star out of 5.

Ocean Maya Royale: Beautiful Resort but room for improvement

Ocean Maya Royale is beautiful, grounds and beach/beachfront are immaculate and they work tirelessly to remove the sargassum that was plentiful due to a few red flag days. The pools are clean and warm. The food is generally ok though a fairly routine buffet. Breakfast was the best though line-ups for eggs are long with only one station. I recognize being a small resort limits the number of a la cartes but there aren’t many to choose from. However the outdoor stage where most of the later evening entertainment takes place means loud noise heard in most of the rooms until quite late. If you’re an early to bed person pick your room carefully. The staff were all gracious and hardworking.

Ocean Maya Royale: Great resort, bad beach

I loved the resort in general, very clean!! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. I didn’t touch the beach water, filled with seaweed you cant even swim. The food was good. I only got to try the mexican restaurant which got us sick. The open buffet was great, very good selection. Its very hard to reserve a table in the japanese restaurant. Staff were the nicest ever!!! Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Perfect family holiday!

This resort has wonderful service, it's very clean, the rooms are large and the beds super comfy! Its about 30 minutes from the airport and there is not much nearby but you can go to Puerto Morelos in a taxi in about 10 minutes. We went on a catamaran tour to Isla Mujeres which was excellent. I traveled with my 16 and 13 year old sons who loved the resort especially the pools and wildlife around the resort. It was 32 celcius every day. Shows and daily entertainment were fantastic. We left with some awesome professional photos that we purchased from the photo company inside the boutique. Memories to last a lifetime!
