Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Fabulous Resort

Stayed on the Coral side in a swim up room. Resort is very clean, staff is wonderful. Janner at the cigar bar makes the best Mojitos, Dairon at the buffet will make sure you are well looked after, Helen in the lobby bar is a sweetheart and makes sure your drink is full. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Our second home!

Honestly, I don't know where to start. But I guess let's start with the best part, the staff. From the moment you check in to the moment you leave, you are treated with the utmost respect, such kindness and a feeling of belonging. I start my day off with the best coffee in the court yard, In my opinion, Yara makes the best! then onto breakfast, where we were greeted every day by amazing staff! A big thank you to Pina Colada, Lil weyne, ninga, Road Runner, Smiley, and Rambo. You guys are amazing! The resort is small and just what we like. The rooms are good and clean with friendly cleaning staff our room was always clean and well stocked with drinks. Do I think the resort is the most stunning? No, but it's the sweetest, well-kept, and absolutely feels like home. One last think I definitely cant forget, if you ever need assistance with anything gust related find Manuel he is amazing!! We were returning guests, and I can't wait to rebook for next February! A must visit in my books

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: We had a wonderful time as a family

The facilities were top notch, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was better than expected and we always had more than enough to eat. The sports bar was a nice place to hang out in the evening. I would say I didn't enjoy some of the song choices that the dj's played in the afternoon... some songs had lyrics that were very inappropriate for a family resort but when I asked to change the song they obliged. There weren't any te [... read more]nnis rackets to play tennis.Our room for our family looked over the neighbouring adult only resort and they were very loud with their music, we probably should've asked for a quieter room but it didn't bother us enough to ask to change. Overall a wonderful relaxing time. I miss my morning coffee in the beautiful lobby bar and of course the most beautiful beach I have been too!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Excellent resort

This is a very excellent resort , clean grounds great pools good food and drinks. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable. Very quiet surroundings beach was nice and easily accessible. Snack bar was good a la cart restaurants were very good

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Definitely be back

We stayed here at Bella Vista and they exceeded all my expectations and we will definitely be back.. We've been to Cuba probably over 10 times and this for me was my best experience, the savings was a bonus..

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Super resort

To begin with I’m handycuped and got a room with walking shower and grab bar all over. The room itself is big and kept very clean,our cleaning lady Reisa was very efficient and pleasant . The grounds are beautiful and the little golfcarts take you wherever you want to go. Now to the dining The Buffet dining has plenty of food and they have 3 Specialty Restaurants. The bars are well stocked.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Disaster vacation

For starters the flight was delayed by 28 hours. We finally arrived at the resort late, then we went to the “snack bar” which only had half cooked patties/boiled hotdogs with no buns, ketchup or mustard which was false advertising so we got sick our first night. The next day during breakfast we were hoping to replenish all the food we threw up the night prior and realized they were yet again short of everything with slim to no options. I tried getting bacon and it was raw. The fish and meat the [... read more]y only cook on one side and when we asked for it to be flipped they blatantly ignored us which is super disrespectful. As a non alcohol drinker they only ever had “orange Fanta” which was super watered down. during the duration of the trip we still didn’t have regular items that were advertised on the Sunwing website. My wife got a water and it had some sort of mold or gunk in it and it made her sick on our catermaran excursion. We got scammed when taking out money from the atm at the resort for Cuban pesos saying they didn’t have usd or cad. The hotel advertises that they can exchange multiple currencies. Then when we decided to go use the money it had less value then what we were told. This was supposed to be our honeymoon after recently getting married and will never be returning to Sunwing or Cuba especially. Super disappointed and disgusted. Almost all food was inedible. Not looking for a compensation voucher or travel credit. We are looking for a full refund. Thanks.

Iberostar Coral Holguin: Third trip better than ever !!

It was our third visit and the staff and resort continue to exceed our expectations! The rooms are clean and spacious and well air conditioned. The meals were amazing and so many options. The butlers Junior and Laritza are amazing ! They take care of all your reservations and are always helpful and available. There were many choices at the bar and premium liquor available. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Excellent Resort

We recently came back from staying one week at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo resort in Mexico. It was a great place! The food was good, the grounds and rooms were very well maintained, and the service was impeccable. The app was a great way to get information about activities as well as communicate with guest services. We would highly recommend this resort and can't wait to return!

Iberostar Coral Ensenachos: A very Nice Surprise

I want to not promote this hotel so it stays quaint and peaceful but I must be honest it exceeded my expectations. What’s makes this hotel so special are the people, they are so welcoming and friendly. The rooms and location will be a wonderful surprise. My only complaint is the food inconsistency but it’s Cuba so that’s expected. This is not a place for teenagers as there is nothing for them . Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: A fantastic vacation as always

The grounds are beautiful and kept immaculate. The beach is wonderful and you can walk for hours. The food at the buffet changes on a daily basis for a week at a time. The servers are wonderful, especially Domingo. The room was perfect. Any issues we had such as our TV not working were fixed in a relatively short period of time, for example, within 24 hours. we were in a near the beach room and the view was beautiful. No complaints and we are looking forward to our next vacation at this hotel.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: First and last visit

I had an incident the first night I arrived at this hotel. Two men were pounding on my door and speaking in Spanish and I didn’t understand what they were saying. I had been lying in bed as it was 8:20 pm and walked to the door to hear the door lock open (I had the bolt on too). I met these two men as they were trying to enter my room and they asked me if my cable was working. The one man had two towels under his arm. I said there was nothing wrong with my cable and I closed the door. I immediat [... read more]ely called the desk and was told they would speak to the maintenance men. I then got dressed and headed over to the desk to speak to management. I met the two men standing and talking to a third man in the area just outside my room. As I passed the one man said ‘Can I talk to you? I said ‘no and stay out of my room’. When I got to the desk and spoke to the staff they told me that the manager wasn’t available. A minute later one of the ‘maintenance’ men appeared at the desk and I said that’s the guy who was just at my room. They guy at the desk said that he was the manager. I said tell him to stay out of my room. I was then told that he wasn’t able to tell him to stay out of my room as he was the manager and that he had the right to go into my room! I then proceeded to tell the man behind the desk that I didn’t feel safe and didn’t want anyone, including housekeeping to come into my room. I was uncomfortable as I was travelling alone to this resort. I was uneasy and slept with a table against my door that night. The next morning I spoke to the Air Transat representative for the hotel. She spoke to the manager and he claimed that there was a complaint previous to my visit about the cable. I told her that I didn’t want anyone including housekeeping to enter my room. There was evidence that someone was in my room as a piece of paper was left on the table and not under the door. Also I had a housekeeper enter my room when I was in the glass shower that is right by the door and if someone was passing by in the hallway I would have been in full view. I had said repeatedly not to enter as I was in the shower. I was lucky to meet four other women who were travelling together who befriended me and looked out for me that week, otherwise it would have been a very stressful vacation of trying to feel safe at this location. I posted on the Facebook page for this resort my experience and it was removed, as were other posts about incidents with young women. If you’re a single woman travelling alone I wouldn’t recommend this resort.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: My new favourite resort!

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The natural surroundings are stunning; very clean and well kept. The attention to detail is noticeable. I loved the variety of tropical plants and there were so many birds and small animals. The food never disappointed, and the Smokehouse was our favourite by far. The staff were happy and nice to talk to. The location is secluded and felt safe. Only downfall is that a hurricane many years ago washed away some of the beach sand, exposing some rocks alon [... read more]g the beach. The beach is beautiful for waking, sunning, playing, but you'll want to go in at the pier to swim or snorkel. I recommend this resort 100% and can't wait to go back!!!

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: Very Unique Resort

It was very well laid out with several pools to accommodate each building. The Cuban people were pleasant and helpful. The food was good but not great but they did their best. The weather was consistent and very windy for the first several days. Beautiful ocean colour! Worth it.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Better than expected

Went with my daughter for one week. Hotel and grounds very kept. Rooms a little dated but kept very clean. People and staff were excellent. For the food well I was pleasantly surprised. The choice a little limited but the taste were great. Even for a picky eater there was something. The beach were good but the ocean was a little rough. Still went in every day. All in all happy with our stay.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: We’ll be back!

We had heard that there might be food shortages. Certainly didn’t happen at our resort. The food was great and there was plenty of it. The staff were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough to assist you in any way. The rooms were clean and very spacious. One could keep as busy or as lazy as one wanted. There were lots of various activities going on all day. The beach was right at the resort and there were always lots of sun cots available. We would definitely return to this resort. Very nice. Grounds are beautiful. Staff are very friendly. Front desk staff very helpful I enjoyed the ocean view room. Lots of activities for all ages. That is enough characters entered. I have no more to say

We really enjoyed our stay. The resort was clean, the food was good, and the staff is truly typical of the Cubans: welcoming and friendly. The performers in the evening shows were just amazing. Some of the best shows I’ve seen in all inclusive resorts.

My brother and I had the pleasure of spending a week at this awesome resort. We can not say enough about how welcome the staff made us feel From check in to check out we were treated like apart of the family Beautiful beaches and pools topped of with amazing a la cartes and entertainment We will definitely be returning.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Beautiful Beaches

We stayed Feb 4-11, 2025. My favorite part was the sun & beaches. Ensenachos beach is very nice but Megano beach was my favorite, lots of variety of seashells, conch shells, starfish, also good for snorkeling. The rooms are dated but clean & the staff are fantastic, always willing to please you. The food at the snack bar & specialty restaurant was good & hot, but even though the buffet had a bigger variety of food, most of it was cold to lukewarm, but they had a microwave to heat it up. The pools were also very nice & clean. Also most of the rooms electrical outlets were only 220v so you need an adapter.
