Sol Caribe Beach: Experience at Sol Caribe Varadero

The resort in pics and TikTok looks new but upon arrival it is dated and worn. The rooms are basic and in need of a repaint and new bedding. The shower didn't work so we had to use the handheld all week.

Paradisus Varadero: Three stars resort with beautiful grounds

The resort had beautiful grounds The trip in Cuba have lots of issues example no water, no hot water , running out of water while taking a shower but our outing with air Canada was awesome going to Matanza to the caves . Other outings was going to Varadero doing horse and buggy and taking a old convertible back to our resort The staff at the resort was ok sometimes they would forget things. Paradisus Varadero: as expected for cuba

If you travel you must know that having high expectations in Cuba is dreaming in colour. This resort is OK. Never had power outages but they did have many occasions of no hot water. Sometimes for an hour here and there but for some people it was no hot water for the entire week. The resort grounds are well kept but literally thousands of small broken things never getting fixed like door knobs, locks, light switches, flush handles, rain gutters hanging off buildings, trip hazards, green slime on  [... read more]pool walls..... little things so easily fixed but not. Food was plentiful and good enough quality, again considering where you are. Do not expect to receive what their website says. You get 2 beers in the fridge at the start of the week then that's it. No welcome drink or actually anything that was included in your upgrade package. Same breakfast and lunch venue as everyone else even if you upgraded. Only 1 buffet and 3 of 7 restaurants were open. Occupancy is way down with only 300 guests in the entire resort. Most bungalows were empty and most of the resort in not lighted at night so bring a flashlight. To be fair when comparing to Mexico or Dominican this is still good value for the cheaper cost. You need to understand the crisis this country is experiencing and be OK with what they can offer. Do not go here if you need to be pampered or are a complainer.

Melia Costa Rey: Amazing resort

The resort very nice and clean, the staff was amazing , lots of good entertainment and drinks the beach was 5star Lots of food no shortages , rooms were clean lots of water pressure and hot water, definitely recommend this resort

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Nice Resort and Beach, Lacks Proper Food Otions

The lobby and café bar were my favorite spot to hang out at the resort. Amazing, hot cappuccino were enjoyed daily. The food options on the other hand were extremely disappointing There was no bread for 5 days and the only fruit option was papaya that did not taste in season.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great resort!

We were pleasantly pleased with this resort. Very clean, extremely polite staff, good food and great drinks! Of course, the beach was beautiful, and the pool was quiet and clean. There was plenty of food every day and lots to choose from. I would definitely come back to this resort. We had a wonderful vacation!

Melia Internacional: Great hotel and wonderful staff

This hotel was beautiful. Everything was so clean and the staff was awesome. The Cubans are so kind! They can’t do enough for u. The beach is beautiful and if u reserve the Level rooms they have a bar b q near the Level beach which was great. We ate at the Italian and International and both were excellent. The buffet was good but was a bit repetitive. We don’t eat seafood so that narrowed our options as well. The pools are immaculate and they have a lot of music playing at the Ted bar, Blue Nar  [... read more]and at the pool. We had absolutely no issues. Again the staff was top notch and made the trip. Trip Central made our travel plans smooth as usual and we will always book through them. It’s about our 8th time using Trip Central and we recommend them to all our friends.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful highly recommended resort.

Clean updated room. Beautifully maintained grounds. Excellent food choices and a la carte restaurants. Amazing friendly, kind and thoughtful staff. Incredible beach. Music through the day and nightly entertainment.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort

Melia Cayo Coco is the best Adult only resort on Cayo Coco. There is nothing I could complain about. The hotel staff go out of their way to accommodate each guest. A problem with hot water in the room was attended to immediately and followed up with a phone call to make sure that we were satisfied.

Melia Varadero: Fabulous Resort

Hotel room was wonderful, the food was plentiful and very good, room service was great. Had a massage and it was super and really affordable. There was no communication as to what was going on at the resort for example we did not know about Cuba Day and others things.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort overall

The resort was great nice and clean, food and drinks great also. The staff was ok some very friendly others very rude and treated you like a burden at times. The entertainment was pretty good, similar all week

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great people work here!

The workers at this resort were amazing! From the beach, snack bar, pool, buffet, lobby bar, front desk, gardeners and A La cart all the staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our vacation a memorable one. The resort is a bit dated but they were working on some updates when we were there. The beach made it all worth it!

Paradisus Los Cayos: Great Resort

My husband and I spent 7 days at this resort. We had a wonderful time. The beach is fantastic, clear water with chairs and umbrellas. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We were upgraded to a fantastic room which included a tub, two person shower, single shower and additional living area space with table. The food was good and there were enough options to choose from. I would definitely return and would recommend this resort.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Amazing beach, run down hotel, poor service

Beach is simply gorgeous. Hotel has a modern and appealing design, but too many things are broken or don't work. There were many days we had no warm water to shower. Many closures across the resort (pools, restaurants, etc.). Very poor service. Food is very basic, in line with what is to be expected in Cuba. Disappointing still for what a 5 star should offer.

So as usual, the beach was fantastic. Pool was great and the pool restaurant was friendly servers and good atmosphere. Many people worry and complain about Cuba but you do have to understand where you’re going in all my visits to Cuba in 20 years. I only had one power outage, which happened the last night I was there Not a big deal. My recommendation would be bring a flashlight and know your limits if you wanna complain about food and so forth then don’t go. The food was plenty full and typical  [... read more]Cuban and tropical and of course there is food for North Americans, such as pizza fries, etc. we had omelets every day and Cuban coffee every day. This is what I expect in Cuba and this is what I got I love the tropical fruit too bad. We didn’t have access to mangoes, but there was still at least 4 to 5 choices. The rooms are old and could be updated. However, they are functional and clean. The staff are always friendly and always love to receive goods and I’m always happy to bring an extra suitcase just full for them and I encourage other people to do that as well. My only suggestion would be if you have your own comforts then bring them and leave behind what you don’t need. I also liked that we had bottled water given to us every day instead of having to purchase it in the past. I would suggest that things are cheaper at the airport, but if you are in the markets, then definitely find what you want there. Sometimes things have been cheaper in the hotels and more expensive in the airport so although I write this today, I know the last time I went to Cuba a year and a half ago it wasn’t true so you really need to read recent posts also I would always suggest choosing the higher star hotel to hopefully get that better condition of a room. One thing I don’t like is how Sunwing has us leaving so late in the day and arriving so late and then we end up having to pay extra to do a late check out. I wish flights were a little bit more convenient and if not, then hotel check out should be negotiated with Sunwing for these kinds of situations. Also, it would be nice that Sunwing would have something posted in their hotel rather than us going and finding them the next day at 12 o’clock, which is inconvenient when all we wanna do is just relax on the beach and vacation however, these personnel are useful for people have not been to Cuba and need all the information. Also, this would be better value for money if Sunwing didn’t overcharge us for March break as it is March break it is not worth such a large amount of money and I would encourage people to go in another season or find a reasonable price for March break. It is not their high season, so it seems like it’s a killer more for us because of Sunwing charging us.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing resort except...

We have been to Cuba many times. This resort is amazing and food was delish!! Checks all the boxes you are looking for in a resort. Only 2 things. The lobby bar staff are not the most welcoming people compared to other workers they are very cranky. The other problem was they were very clearly filling up water bottles with tap water. You can tell this by smelling the water. Once their bottled water service ran out they would fill up bottles to make it look like it was a fresh bottle. Paradisus Varadero: Great Resort

Firstly, Big thanks to Steve fromTrip Central. Paradisus Varadero was great, We upgraded to the reserve junior suite. Room was large, clean and exactly as pictured. Air conditioning was COLD! Resort was spotless and very well maintained, excellent staff from the beach to the maid service and concierge. The staff WANT you to have an excellent experience and it shows. A variety of dining options, fresh fish, seafood, fries, omelets, bacon etc. Plenty of condiments and beverages.  [... read more] We had no issues during our stay and were pleasantly surprised at the food quality and service. The beach is outstanding. and the entertainment is lively.

Paradisus Los Cayos: Disappointing Stay

If you pay for the Royal Reserve you will not be disappointed, however we didn't, we had issues with.... The room: The safe, the door lock, the air conditioning, the water (freezing, or scalding, or missing altogether), a privacy door missing to the bathroom. Common areas: Look wonderful, however, if you're not a smoker you cannot escape it, and if you want a quiet break, unless you pay for the Royal Reserve, you will have trouble finding it. Loud music played either by the hotel, or the [... read more] guests, either way, it was unavoidable. Beach: The beach is one of the best I have visited, and I have travelled around the world. However, the chances of getting a bed on the beach was only guaranteed if you were out around 6am to claim them with a towel. Loud music was also intrusive on the beach. Food: The buffet food was plentiful, and lots of variety. However, the restaurants you had to book for, were disappointing, with portions that had you finishing and going to the buffet for more food. The staff for the most part were friendly and very attentive, however customer service were not on top of things, and let us down on a few occasions. Summary: If you like smoke, noise, and unsafe conditions in your room, this is the place for you. However, if none of those things are to your liking, avoid, or pay for the Royal Reserve.

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort, excellent service all around!

Our 5 th visit to MCC did not disappoint! This resort is a gem. The grounds and buildings are meticulously maintained. Food was good, drinks plentiful! The Cuban people who work here make it the best place to vacation. The beach and ocean is gorgeous! As always we loved our stay and will be back!
