Carisol los Corales: Love this place!!

I have been going to Los Corales for just over 3 years now... while it’s my go to destination, and will likely continue to be because of the staff and the atmosphere, I must say that this trip I was not impressed by the new entertainment staff, primarily ‘Leo’.... I felt that his direction of the entertainment left people confused, and at times disturbed.... some people collecting their children and leaving because some parts were quite inappropriate.... other than that, great week, contin [... read more]ued improvements, and I will definitely be back!

I was a returning guest, hotel was good, food was real bad this time, running out of things, hot weather, no rain, lots of improvements around the hotel, returning guest dinner was excellent, I will return in the future

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing Hotel

Considering that it is an old Resort, is very well maintained. Service was good and fast. Place very clean. As of all Resorts in Cuba, food is an issue, not many choices. Overall is a nice place to spend a week in it. Was easy to switch room to a better one. Great help!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great resort

The hotel was great. The beach amazing and the water was fabulous. I really enjoyed my trip. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The grounds was very nice. It could be better lit for walking in the nighttime. The food was better than I thought it would be. The pool area was great as well. There was so many places to hang out that you would not get bored. They had multiple pools so the area was not over crowded which I liked the best.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: 3 star hotel = 3 star quality

Sea/beach were wonderful. Drinks/spanish coffees too. The rooms are very old though (like 80s old) and buffet is the worst but hey, 3 star in Cuba. Staff is friendly and overall very accomodating. Common areas were always very clean. It was a good choice with our 2 year old. Best part was the dentist... he’s AMAZING.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Best vacation hotel ever

This is my second time going to this hotel. I didn't realize how large the hotel grounds were. Grounds were well kept. All staff were friendly. Beach was gorgeous with lots of room for guests. Market close by for shopping. Buffet food was good. Lots of good restaurants close by. I will be back again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Beautiful Resort

We really love the beaches there. They are stunning. How each area has it's own unique things about them. Lots of coffee bars and snack bars. The food selection could've been better although what they served was okay. Our villa was awesome. A little dated but, kept clean. The cleaning service was great.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Perfect resort all was really good

Grounds were kept really clean,buffet was amazing, rooms were really comfortable and clean ,,Beach was fantastic,,staff smilling all the time and animation was soso,,but overall fantastic will go back for sure,,

Carisol los Corales: Resort for people who like a relaxing vacation

Food did improve some over past years. Good supply of beach launches. Lots of shade available at the beach. In general a good kept resort. Some changes don't make much sense. Find this is a very safe area , which I like, since I like to go for walks outside the resort, visit some of the little farmers and talk to them as good as it will go. I have booked with Karlos Chareza with Trip Central 1 800-665-4981 ext 7320 Great guy. We have return to this resort 6 times. First week of Dec and the last week of Feb. Have been in many places in Cuba. We have found our home in Holguin Guardalavaca Club Amigo. The best experience is being with all of the locals. We always book the tropical seaview rooms ( second floor). We have taking lots of friends and family with us. Which all of been return guest. Have book lobsters and chicken  [... read more]dinners. For 20 CUC (includes taxie) with Rudolph ( lobby bartender, his wife works in the gift store on the resort) EXCELLENT MEALS for dinner. We love this resort and always will return.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Home away from Home

This was our third time to this resort. It feels like our home away from home. This time though things didn't go completely perfect. On the first day there went to adjust the shower head and behold it broke off in my hand. That really wasn't the issue. The problem was it took them until day 3 to replace it. Parts of the resort are under renovations and there seemed to be some things moved around. For the most part the three of us (wife and daughter) had an amazing time. Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: You either love it or hate it.

If you are looking for a place of luxury, a room with a balcony, a lobster every day, look elsewhere and in a different price range. If you are like us, who appreciate everything close by, a terrific beach where after a few steps you are deep enough to swim, where you can swim even when the waves in Varadero are two meters high, because this beach is sheltered by the coral reef, then this is the place. There are several private restaurants around, with a beautiful view of the whole bay, where you can have a big lobster for 20CUC, much better than in the hotel restaurant.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Not as good anymore

Third and last time at this resort. It is one of the oldest resorts on the island. The standard rooms are the old Army Barracks, the main hotel is the Tropical Section. Pay the extra $$ and upgrade to the Villa or the Bungalows, you'll thank me. B een to the resort 3+ times. It was a good resort but management has changed in the past 2 years and not for the better. The Food and Rooms seem to be getting worse. The employees aren't as happy anymore (from a returning travellers point of view [... read more]) not as many workers anymore and management expecting more out of what they have. Service has gone down. The main hotel swim up bar is where most of the action takes place, downside... it gets closed often (contamination) as people sit and drink all day, without going to the bathroom... Go to the big square pool or the 24 hour pool, or the hidden gem, the bungalow pool. Best food at the resort, 24hr bar. It does have one of the best beaches and ocean sights.

Beautiful resort, NIÇE welcome, friendly workers , amazing pools ! Good music, super hot ! Lots to do , good shows good FOOD ! Would go back . We stayed AT the TROPICAL SEA VIEW ! and we did have a gorgeous view , close to everything . THANKS Kevin Dupuis for your services !

The trip certainly fulfilled my expectations given that it was a 3-star hotel. _PLUSES: -very clean with pleasant cleaning staff; -food was plentiful and ranged from mediocre to good; -beach was amazing and there were several pools; -excursions were well planned and incredible, especially the catamaran trip and swimming with dolphins: -well-suited to families and seniors; MINUSES: -beds were most uncomfortable and pillows were useless and requests for more comfort were ignore [... read more]d; -entertainment was mediocre and not well-suited to teens through thirty-year olds, according to my 23 year-old grandson; -V.I.P. service at the airport in Cuba was not as good as expected; we were not given adequate information and the employee providing it was distracted; promised pre-boarding was not provided and people were pushing forward during the boarding process; -front desk staff seemed either very pleasant or very short-tempered. Very clean ressort.. staff very helpful and friendly from the gardener to security to maid ect...many choice for food and restaurents..we were there for a wedding organized by the resort and all was perfect her name was Elsa very nice and organize person ..I have nothing bad to say about the resort

The grounds and beach were nice. The rooms were suitable, some could use some updating but were comfortable. The staff were all very accommodating and nice. The wait staff, bartenders and maids were very attentive. The maids were always willing to help out if anything was needed and did a good job. Winmar is the best, and helps out wherever he can. I have seen him on my return visitsand he remembers us. The food was good, the only complaint would be to have a little more variety. You coul [... read more]d always find something to suit you to eat, however, a little repetitive. The omelets in the morning are very good! This was my third visit to this resort and would return again. Over the years I have seen some positive changes regarding updating the rooms. The entertainment in the evening was awesome. It would have been nice to have a little more going on in the pool area in the afternoons though. The beach is very nice and I especially like that you can snorkel on the beach without having to leave the resort. There are some very pretty and interesting fish. Overall I would return and probably will. The price is reasonable.

We were very satisfied with our stay at Club Amigo. The staff was very friendly and professional. Our villa was nice and clean and the variety of restaurants was also nice. I reluctantly returned to this resort but was happy to see the changes made in the 2 years. Hot shower everyday, friendly staff and better drinks. Food still needs more variety! I will return someday.
