Beautiful Beach Great Snorkeling and Diving

I've been to Playa Costa Verde 8 times so that says it all. It's a lovely beach holiday and it's not expensive. They try hard at this resort. It is approximately a one hour bus ride from the airport. The rooms are clean with balconies. The food is good enough at the main restaurant and there are 3 extra restaurants you are entitled to for one dinner each per week with a reservation. I think it is about $100. for two dives or $60. for one dive.(can't remember exactly but dive costs are very reasonable). The dive equipment is in good shape. This hotel is a very good value and a lovely place for an inexpensive get away.

Excellent resort!

The resort was beautiful and well kept with a beautiful beach. The food was pretty good at the buffet and the Japanese restaurant was amazing. There was lots of activities right on the resort and a excellent selection of excursions to pick from.

My home away from home

From the first time my husband and I stayed at this resort we said we would like to come back. Relaxing and easygoing, the food was good. The people have such friendly and good dispositions that some have become permanent friends. We did go back again and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. I went again with my son and his wife and am planning to take my brother for his first experience in an all-inclusive.

Great place

I thought the resort was one of the best I have been to. The beaches were clean and the people working there were very helpful. The pool was always clean. The food was just wonderful and our rooms were always well looked after. There was 6 of us there and we are ready to go back again.

Feels Like Family

We have returned to this hotel 9 times. We love it because the staff make you feel so welcome. They remember you and treat you so well. The grounds are well taken care of as well as the beach, very clean. There is some coral getting into the ocean which you have to be careful about or can wear water shoes, but once in it is glorious. There are staff to get you a lounge chair and will bring it to wherever you wish on the beach. Plenty of shade areas. You never have to rush down and put your towel [... read more] on a lounge chair at 5 am, they have more than enough loungers. Food is great, lots of selection. You have to remember that you are on an island and you are not in Canada or England. They have a fabulous pasta bar, grills for cooking fish, pork or beef to your liking, and a stir fry section. Wonderful breads and cheeses. Omelets made fresh for you in the morning. If you can't find something to eat, you are really picky! The al la carte restaurants are great. The Japanese is such a fun experience. Rooms are good and comfortable. We prefer the upstairs rooms with the balcony but either way you are not in your room much. You are sitting by the pool, beach or lobby bar. Entertainment is good and the pianists are so talented and such a great idea to sit and listen to before or after dinner. Cuba is very safe and if interested I recommend a stroll away from the resort into the locals area. See how difficult life is for them although they never complain and are so happy to show you their home. Please, please leave them a tip anything extra means so much to them. The bus trip into Guadalavarca market and beach is worthwhile as not only do you see the other resorts, you see the countryside. In all, this resort is one we will continue to visit. The other bonus is after you have been there 5 times, your sixth one is free!

Wonderful stay

We had our Honeymoon ay Playa Costa Verde and it was beautiful. The hotel staff made us feel so special. We where invited to a special Lobster dinner which was beautifully done and delicious! The rooms where clean ands the food was the best I've ever had in Cuba and this was my 5 th trip . We are already planning our return hopefully in February 2015.
