I love this resort. This was my 8th tripv

all good, I have been at this Resort several times and I hope to return again. The stall is very friendly. The one tging I do miss is the entertainment,that is gone,it was very good when they had it in past years.

Good value for my money!

What I liked most about this resort was that it was very compact. Didn't take longer than 5 minutes to get anywhere (rooms - pool - restaurants - lobby - beach). I stayed in building 8 which was very convenient - room was lovely, very comfy bed. The buffet restaurant was not bad, breakfast was probably the best meal served there. I really enjoyed the snack bar for lunch. Missed having a swim up bar but loved that the pool bar stayed open until late!

Pretty good experience

The resort overall was nice. We experienced some minor issues with our room but had them resolved fairly quickly. Food was excellent in buffet as well as a la carte but snack area was only mediocre. Pool area was large and nice and beach area was large as well but was hit or miss with debris and seaweed in water/shoreline. Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Be Live Grand Marien.

5 star at a 3 star price

Beautiful beach, clean, secure, no beach hustlers, great food, and peace and quiet! The infrastructure is a bit tired in places, but the staff and their service is top notch! The buffets are above average to other resorts, and all 3 restaurants were terrific!

Nice Resort

We enjoyed or 14 nights at the Be Live. The rooms were clean and the food was great. The a la carts were the best. We did not like the insecticide spray they used in the hallway outside our room. We were in block 8 from Mar 27 to April 10th. Overall we had a great vacation. The pool was nice and the ocean was a bit rough. There was a lot of garbage on the beach down from the resort. It was pretty nasty to see so much of it.

Great Vacation

Had a wonderful time. The resort was beautiful, staff was great, rooms were clean and comfortable. Had fun trying to figure out the shower but a quick trip to the front desk soon resolved the problem. Had a great laugh about it.

Fabulous. First time without the kids!

From start to end we had a fabulous time. Thanks so much to our travel agent. Would definitely go again using your company. Would also recommend hotel and food too. The weather was perfect for April. Excursions were awesome.

Staff were rude and unfriendly

The rooms were musty and the staff couldn't care less about your concerns. The cleaning staff were fantastic! I have to admit. The gourmet restaurant staff ALL HAD ALTITUDE, the Mexican staff were great.The food overall was plentiful. We will never step foot on Dominican soil .All the vendors were as crooked as a cork screw.Cuban cigars sold there are fake.

Best Vacation Yet!!

We travelled to Be Live Marien, Puerto Plata, DR. The resort was way better than expected. The room was very clean, stocked with water, pop, and beer daily. We observed them cleaning the rooms and they did a fantastic job. The food was amazing, different buffet theme every night, complimented by fresh salad and fruit, both my 8 yr old and 14 yr old were happy, especially with the snack bar, burgers, fries, amazing chicken nuggets and chicken wings. The a la carte restaurants we excellent, the Br [... read more]azilian was my favourite. Lots of stuff to do, the beach was nice, never crowded, same with the pool. My only issue is the local people walking the beach trying to get you to shop at their store, to aggressive. The Entertainment was excellent, great group of talented young people running the activities and nightly entertainment. " Aye Chihuahua"!! We will definitely come back to this resort in the near future.

Resort was cosy, quite small but had the amenities

Hotel was nice, although plumbing was slow. Dining area was large and plenty of seating, food was good, although breakfast was the same daily. Grounds were well maintained, beach was close by, easy to get to and was clean.

Great Vacation!

This resort was clean and the food was very good! Beautiful scenery and beach. The only downfall (which was not a real biggie) was the replenishing of towels for our room as we did not get clean towels until late afternoon. We would definitely go back!

Overall " Great Place "

Beautiful Resort , no major issues . Clean , friendly staff , lots to eat and drink. Beautiful pool and beach . Could have been more variety to choose from at the dinner buffet and some delays when checking in . Great vacation , would recommend.

Very nice

We stayed for a week in March , it was a lovely hotel , staff were great very friendly and helpful , food was good to , the hotel needed a few repairs but otherwise was all good ,our stay was very nice

Amazing trip

Was an amazing trip if you are looking for a cheaper price. Pool was beautiful and clean, beach was great. We had a room on the ground floor that had lots of bugs, but very spacious. food was average, service was great, friendly staff. All in all i would come again. Thanks for a great trip!!

Just ok

This was a last minute trip! Some good and bad points ! Beautiful view and great food ! Service is next to none for someone asking if you want a drink! Rooms being cleaned was terrible! A couple of days our room wasn't even touched ! Lack of water to drink, you had to ask the front desk to get some ! Brazilian restaurant was awesome! Beach was nice and staff was friendly ! Thanks !

Great Resort

Great Resort with Great Staff Different theme every evening for buffet..great selection all the amenities of a larger resort but on a smaller scale, which made it convenient..5 min walk to everything since hotel is on a smaller scale, able to meet other quests and interact, made great friends Beach wasn't the best but great activities and a great snack bar, to enjoy a drink and watch Staff where very friendly without being pushy Great value

Beautiful Resort!!

The resort is simply beautiful! The scenery is stunning from the palm trees gently swaying in the Caribbean breeze, to the majestic mountains as a back drop, to the beautiful endless beaches. The staff are helpful and friendly, from the front desk, to the rooms maids, maintenance staff, waiters and waitresses, and entertainment crew. We travelled with a group of eleven. Two 14 years old. one 16, two 18 and the rest of us in our 40's. A great time was had by all!!! Highly recommend this resort.

Not horrible

The room that we were put in (1216) was the last room on the edge of the property. It was an oceanfront room. It was very dated but was clean. The maids always maintained it so, we wouldn't complain about this. However, the rooms are adjoining and you can hear "everything" from the room next door. I could have been part of their conversations as I heard every word. (And other things) Beach was not the best. It wasn't maintained very well. Also, very trivial but by our room the beach was not used (no deck chairs) so, it was never cleaned up. The a la carte restaurants were the best food. Buffet seemed to be the same things daily. We always found something to eat but, were happy to get home. Mexican restaurant was VERY slow though. It took 2 1/2 hours to have 3 courses. Wifi was an additional charge and can ONLY be paid in cash. This we needed as our children were not with us so we needed to be able to communicate back home. Also, the safe in the room was an additional charge ($3 per day). I did not agree with this but had to pay it as well. All in all, it was an ok vacation. We enjoyed the vitamin D when the clouds were not there and the entertainment staff were excellent.

Lovely clean friendly resort

I loved my vacation stay at Be Live Marien and will return next year,food was very good ,rooms very clean,excellent time,friendly staff,check in was swift,tours on the cable car and shops in town well worth the price also the dinner theatre at ocean world was excellent

Great time

The hotel was clean,the food was great,staff was outstanding,the shows and al la cartes were amazing,entertainers were amazing. I would tell people to go to this resort if you have the chance. Made a lot of friends here!!!!
