We went for our honeymoon here it was great. The weather the beach the cleanliness it was paradise. The only con I can think of is the food is OK not the greatest but other than that I would recommend.

Great location and resort

Great service, will go back again. Few Recommendation on changes: - Rooms is missing "do not disturb" sign. Some days wanted to sleep in but workers kept knocking on door. - Not many fruit selections. Resort did not have bananas. Very important fruit. - Also resort should have signs near food stations stating do not grab food with hands. Many locations had tongs, but some disgusting people were grabbing with their hands. Travelers be aware that airport employees in Holguin will steal from your checked baggage. Do not have expensive items in checked baggage

Resort very nice

Everything was very nice. The only negative is more towels and we smoked out on the balcony and there was no ashtray Beach was great, grounds were kept nicely entertainment was good People who work at the resort were very friendly

Nice place

Just got back and had a great time. Weather was great. Resort is clean and everyone is very nice, foods pretty good too, resort is very large and a lot of walking . Overall I would recommend this resort

Awesome Resort

Playa Pesquero is a beautiful resort with wonderful staff who aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This was our second visit to Playa Pesquero and we had a great time!! The servers in the breakfast bar and any of the restaurants we visited gave outstanding service. The pool service from the pool bar was great!!! Great resort

Rooms were modest but very clean and provided all necessities. Pool area was gorgeous and so clean- lots of chairs available. Staff are all so friendly and caring and not always looking for a tip. Staff really appreciate a friendly word or gesture and always have a smile on their faces. There was a nice variety of restaurants and food selection. Our weather was sunny every day some rain at night or a 5 minute shower during day time. Lots of free activities and there are day tours available at extra cost. We had a great week!

Beautiful and welcoming resort.

Beautiful resort and wonderful staff. Great food and very clean amenities. 2nd visit in 11 years. Many upgrades over that time. Lot of same staff. Trip central staff were very helpful and accessible from day one. Thank you Ailsa Walker!

Great experience!

This resort is a wonderful resort...from the people, food, and beaches. Thoroughly enjoy it each and every time. This is my seventh year in a row. Service gets a little better each and every time as I have built bonds with the people. Tipping also helps get wonderful service!

Nice resort

I loved it. I stayed there with my mom for a week in Feb. 2018. Good service friendly staff nice location and beach. Food not so different needs more variety. Overal liked it and will go there again.

Enjoyed our vacation

Very friendly staff, good food, great wine, large variety of restaurants, beautiful beach, clean large pool. No problem getting chairs on beach or around pool. Large resort but good layout with constant transportTion available. Great value for the price.

Amazing time

We had an amazing time. It was the first big trip with my 6 year old and we loved every minute. There is a good variety of food and the locals are so nice and inviting. My son was never bored, we spent every day by the pool and had a blast. We can't wait to go back.

Playa Pesquero Premium - Expectations Well Met - 4.5*

Resort is only +/- 5 years old so in great condition Very quiet and low key Rooms are very large and comfortable - huge bathroom with great amenities and nice outside shower - large balcony with "daybed" All meal are A La Carte - with a very good menu and a nice wine selection - Pool snack bar is also A La Carte with an interesting menu Pool is very well set up with comfortable lounge chairs and sun protection screens Spa is accessible all week with services at a cost - well equipped gym  [... read more]facility Beach is private, some nice fish to see nearby - as pool bar is far a small beach bar would have been a nice touch All staff are courteous and accommodating The butler service was hit and miss - lack of coordination between different "service teams" - much information and services available, etc. was not provided and caused unnecessary confusion (nothing serious/major but somewhat expected at a 5 Star)

Nice get away

Resort was nice. Large and lots of opportunity to walk off all those extra pounds! Rooms/beds were comfortable. Lots of hot water for showers. Beach was beautiful but have to get out early for a chair. Food was disappointing. Greatly lacking fresh vegetables and fruit. It all pretty much came from a can or a bag of frozen stuff. Service was not as good as I have had at other resorts but staff pleasant. 7/10

Amazing visit!!!!!

I have to say that this resort was the best I have ever been to in Cuba. The resort is huge and always something to do. The grounds were spotless and staff very friendly. The food was exceptional!!! Can’t wait to go back. Have 2 people at work now booking because it’s the only place I will ever visit again!!! Thank you!!!

Outstanding Experience

I stayed at the Hotel Playa Pesquero from Jan 21 - Jan 28th with my wife, two children and in-laws. This was a terrific stay. The staff on site are all extremely friendly and cordial, eagerly willing to please. Everyone is very attentive! The coffee bar in the main lobby - sensational. Pools are clean and the grounds are manicured. The beach is nice - not amazing, but has soft sand and warm water. Would've liked some palm trees on the beach for more of that tropical feel. No complaints whatsoever. Highly, highly recommend - easily best bang for your buck.

January family vacation

We went on a family vacation, 7 days. 6 adults, 4 children aged 1-7 years. All of us have stayed at Caribbean resorts before. We enjoyed our stay. Grounds are very well kept and pretty. Beach sand is white and soft and full of shells and coral, fun for kids to find. Ocean is clear, small waves, quite calm. Coffee bar makes great cappucinos. Excellent mojitos at mojito bar. Buffet dining hall has an ok selection; good compared to most Cuban resorts, obviously below standard to any other country's [... read more] 5 star hotel. Line ups for individually prepared food are not too long; worth the wait for fresh omelettes, pasta, grilled meats and fish etc. Pool is large and lots of shallow areas so great for kids. At 830 every evening kids have a mini club on stage in the theatre to dance and play before the real show starts. Shows are alright, but a good distraction for the kids - magician, hip hop break dancers, singers. Staff is super friendly no problems with anyone and had lots of nice conversations. We are week-end tippers (post service) and didnt find anyone was rude for lack of tips all week.

Had a great time

cant wait to come back again . and again love the area,it s like a home away from home . the Cubans are really good overall to the tourist s . made a lot of new friends . and old ones from year to year .

Playa Pesquero

We enjoyed our stay in Playa Pasquale, the staff were wonderful and the food a plenty. The grounds people were busy cleaning and repainting after their rainy season. We found our accommodations really nice but due to the damp climate things that were wooden or composite (like the inside of our closet were quite damaged) we made due. I would suggest taking water shoes to walk over the rocks along most of the shore line. The ocean water was beautiful and warmer than the pool. Even though we had some cloudy days and some misty rain we still swam everyday because it was still warm to us! PLEASE remember to ask for a receipt EVERY time you exchange money we were ripped off once and told NO to a request for a receipt. Our travel support reported the incident and told us to refuse to leave until we got a receipt next time but we had no replacement of our lost 4 pesos. The second time we insisted upon a receipt and as the receipt was passed to us so was an extra peso. Even though we experienced some negative things we would go back with gained knowledge. We will not go back flying with Air Transat though. We were delayed 2+ hours on the way over and 2+ hours on the way back. Air Canada flew there as well an hour earlier and was able to be on time no problem.

Magical vacation

Everything was excellent ! Everyone was super welcoming. The grounds, the roms, the view, the activities offered, the food, the Ball, the service were out of this world! Other than not having the experience of the katharamans because of the rain we still had a magical time. It was excellent ! For our first vacation ever, it will be a vacation we will never, never forget and will definitely return.

Worst holiday ever

This hotel was not anywhere near a five star. Rooms were dirty and mouldy. Staff was rude and not helpful. Food was awful and drinks were bad. This was my first trip to Cuba and I will never go back. Don’t wast your money ...
