Great vacation!

This was my third visit to this resort and absolutely love it!!! Great service from all of the staff. Fabulous beach! Royal Service upgrade is worth every penny. We were made to feel like family.

Great resort

The grounds were very nice as was our room. Food was good and plentiful however not much selection in fresh fruit, other than pineapple and watermelon and very little fresh vegetable such as green lettuce salad. The bread selection was amazing as were the selection of food stations - pasta bar, seafood, grilled meats. No reason to be hungry. I would like to have seen some type of food offering at/near the beach however there was a 24 hour restaurant always available. Excellent entertainment. Goo [... read more]d service. Not much english spoken by support staff. Unfortunately the pool was not heated so although there was a great swim up bar and lots of room at the pool, the water was too cold and very few guests were in the pool.

Very nice resort

Nice property, lovely grounds,QUIET which was nice, beach is great but typical problem not enough chairs, usual complaints about Cuban food, all staff were great.would recommend this resort to friends an family

Beautiful pool and beach resort

Pool was amazing and so was the beach... everything was close not far to walk ...the lobby was nice and the cigar room had great drinks...the food was okay ... workers are very friendly .... rooms had a musty smell to them but were very clean ! Better to stay on second floor ... I would go back because of beach and pool area!

Great winter getaway destination!

My wife and I had an amazing time last week in Cuba at this resort. The beach was among the best I have seen and I have been to Mexico, Bahamas, Turks, Greece and Forida. The room was great. The service and people were great. I will mention that my only minor thing was the food but I must say that for Cuba it was great. Please don’t go to Cuba and expect the food to be like other destinations. Make sure to book the alacarts for meals at the beginning of your visit. The Japanese was my favourite. Make sure to do the Havana tour and the Catamaran boat / dolphin tour.

Very satisfied

this resort was very good, the food was good the place was clean the worker were pretty helpful. i would recommend this resort to anyone oh yeah the beach was awesome you can walk for miles. Mostly Canadian might also make a difference.

Nice Resort

Nice resort. Balcony doors looked like they were pried open with a crow bar. Door did lock but with much figeting. In speaking with other vacationers other balcony doors the same. Partitions between balcony’s had space enough for someone to crawl under. Pathways not very well lit up at night when walking back to room. It was obvious that tips were the main reason for good service otherwise you were ignored or snubbed and staff were rude. The pools and beach were beautiful. The [... read more] food in the buffet was very good with lots to choose from but need more plates available. The morning omelettes were superb. Did not feel the need to go to specialty restaurants. The rooms were clean spacious and beds were very comfortable.

Lovely resort

Very nice pool and beach area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious. Air conditioning units in some of the rooms were a bit noisy. Lots of food choices in the buffet. Dinner in the Japanese restaurant was very entertaining.

Good value for price!

This hotel had nice amenities that were clean and comfortable. The beachfront location was a plus! Good variety of food and restaurant options with fun activities throughout the day. The service was slow but staff were very friendly.

4 star at best

Staff was friendly. A few minor issues. The 2 hot tubs were never working. 2 of the 3 espresso machines were always broken so couldn't have coffee with breakfast. Had to go to the lobby bar for coffee. Took numerous phone calls to get 2 bottles of water to our room every day.

Initially Impressed

Lobby and hotel itself was great, beautiful. We were disappointed to hear there was no free wifi. Free wifi could at least have been provided in the lobby instead of having to pay 1 peso per hour. Even if we had to pay, the method by which we had to pay (per hour using a code that timed out in an hour) was inconvenient and frustrating. The food at the buffet was not the best. There was variety but the meats were bland. Breakfast was great though. The one factor that really upset both of u [... read more]s was the state of the room. The pillow and sheets were stained with blood and other dirt. When we asked for receptoin to change the sheets in person they did not. The next day they changed our pillows but not the sheets. So the room was indeed the most disappointing. When you go to Melia brand you do not expect a dirty room. We actually upgraded to the boutique side "Royal Service" because we did not want to ruin our entire stay.

Beautiful

The resort was gorgeous and very clean, almost all the staff were personable and provided top notch service. The housekeeping staff were great but the hotel room was very musty due to the humidity and the AC, my only other issue was the food, not great however I understand the economic issues with that and I knew that prior to going. The excursions were the highlight, amazing experiences and fantastic tour guides. All in all a wonderful vacation

Nice resort but not 5 star

The A La Cartes were very good. Lots of variety from Japanese, Italian, Cuban, etc cuisine. The buffet was disappointing. Food displays were unappealing with limited choices. The omelette for breakfast was the highlight here. The room was musty and air conditioning was not working well. Did not get fresh towels and new drinks every day. Bed linen was not fresh. Most staff were friendly. The pool and beach areas were very nice. Gardens were well maintained.

Great Trip!

This resort is great, nice size lots of different options to eat, have a late night snack or just chillax with a hot cappuccino. Only negative was that the night club was closed so nowhere to go for any nightlife.

Great resort

Stayed in Veradero 6 times. This was the best resort. Holiday was to celebrate my friends 70th BD & we were upgraded to the Royal suites. Like having our own resort. Rooms were clean & lovely with jacuzzi tub. Enjoyed a private beach, smaller private buffet for breakfast & lunch. Staff were very friendly & obliging. The resort was quite spread out but staff assisted with golf carts. All restaurants had great decor & good variety of food. Ok but would not return

Second time to Cuba and third hot holiday. Everyone agreed the food was worse then exspected. The rooms were not nearly as nice as they looked online. Staff was not very nice or welcoming. The service for bars was very slow and hard to get the bartenders attention. We went days with out water or beer being restocked even after leaving notes with larger tips. I would recommend Iberostar veradero greatly over this resort. Usually people in Cuba are very polite but this resort they had a rude demea [... read more]nor. Nice beaches although most days too many jellyfish to go in the water. Nightly shows and entertainment is not in the same league as Iberostar veradero.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar Resort

We thought the resort was wonderful! The service was very good and it being an all inclusive, they were not light on the liquids or the food. The buffet, am and pm, had a wonderful selection but the food could get cold before we sat down to eat. The omelettes and toasted sandwiches were the way to go. By the end of the week, we found our choice of foods that satisfied us. The beaches were lovely with clean, soft, white sand. Great

This was my first time in Cuba. It was overall great, though there was a bit that i did not like. I did enjoy going through the Varadero strip amd seeing all the different shops and restaurants. The beach was phenomenal as everyone says. The food was ok, not the greatest. Didn't like the time gap of the meals in the buffet restaurant.

The Resort was ok...

the pools were great and awesome beach but 3 out of 4 treadmills were broken. The food here were the worst I've ever had, and this was my 6th trip to Cuba. We couldn't a good breakfast (no pancakes). It was the same kind of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Amazing beach

Hotel was beautiful. The beach was amazing. Food so so. It’s Cuba. Weather was great. Hotter everyday. Our maid was awesome. The resort was very clean and has well established gardens. Very beautiful.
