Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: HONEST OPINION

This hotel was large enough to keep us engaged but not so large as to overwhelm us with large crowds. We had a swim access pool room that was recently painted, with a recently tiled private patio, with trellis screening; only 8 feet from a newly installed pool. This was our haven. We could venture out to the beach, enjoy dinner or hang out at the main pool but when we tired of having others around, we could retreat to our quiet oasis. There were two associated adjacent hotels that we could venture to that provided some shopping, though a little more variety of goods would have been nice. The food was good, with the exception of breakfast sausages that were hotdog wieners in disguise. It made us wonder how many were put on plates but rejected to the waste bin. I only mention this because it is easier to talk specifically about a singular fault than to praise the variety of food that was available and enjoyed. Service was pleasant, though few English speaking staff. All in all, this was an enjoyable venue and one that we would select again or recommend to friends. Cheers, Garry

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Nice resort

Great resort lots to do we are golfers the golf course in nice but pricy we bought the 4 day package for $72 each a round but it went up to $92 for the 4 day package March 1st US funds which is expensive when your golf is included the resort itself is huge lots to do. The rooms are nice the bathrooms could do with some updating other than that everything was fine

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Not recommended

We travelled to Royalton chic 25 th of February to March 4th, 2026. Overall good resort in the beginning, foods not good at all. I had only pasta and pizza during my stay there as their food wasn’t good. Room looked like clean but last day we realized my husband having some rashes on his skin. We thought it’s like allergies or reactions to something. We we returned to Canada and my husband didn’t feel well, he had visit with his family doctor and he said it’s be bugs bites. I’m so freaking out b [... read more]ecause if just one of them was in our clothes or luggage will mess up our life. If it happens I will sue them. I do not recommend this resort at all.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Terrible Resort

Want food poisoning, rude staff, and barely edible meals? This resort delivers all three. We saw staff treat multiple families horribly, and heard the same complaints from nearly every guest we spoke to. Caribe Deluxe Princess: Vacaciones de relajo

Been to punta cana many times all Different all inclusive ., and this was our first time at the caribe deluxe princess ., just have to say that we would never go back!! The minus is more than the pluses !! 1- services at the front desk awful 2- got there and the music was country music in English I was excepting salsa merengue bachata none to be found 3-food out of 10 a 3 not good !! Grand Palladium Punta Cana: I would give it 4 stars

Resort was ok food had teste but menu was always the some , rooms need update specially the bathroom , cleaning was good Lots of vendors on resort and beach a little annoying entertainment was poor Over all 4 starts not 41/2 Good for a young family with small kids

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Terrible Avoid at all costs

Hotel Serenade Punta Cana was a terrible experience. Rude staff, terrible food that seemed reused, broken room service app, and poor service. My wife got food poisoning, and guests were treated like inconveniences.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: good but..

It used to be absolutely great .. now resort was overcrowded.... ....because of that: lines, service is down, food: not as good as expected.. room was excellent, location is excellent, need to come at 6:00 am to get chair at beach or pool..

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful Resort

This resort is such a beautiful resort. We were very impressed at how the resort is laid out. The “main strip” is something we have never seen before. Wonderful walkway flanked on either side by restaurants, shopping, fitness gym, bowling alley & many other activities. The restaurants were fantastic & our favourite being the Japanese restaurant Sakura. The “Adults Only” portion of the resort is well laid out. Overall we loved this resort & would definitely make a return visit.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing beach!

Very large rooms. Everything at the resort was very clean and lots of food choice. No trouble finding lounge chairs at the beach. We had a wonderful experience and couldn’t find anything wrong at all!

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: New Experience

We decided on Bavaro Select because of recent renovations and the fact that we had issues with bathroom facilities when we were at Palace two years ago. We chose a Premium Junior Suite room without knowing where we would be located. As it turned out, this type of room was only located in one of the 3 larger Eficianado buildings on the extreme east side of the Bavaro section(E17, E18, E19). This put us at a fairly long walk to the Bavaro pool. If we had chosen a Superior Junior Suite, we would ha [... read more]ve been closer to both the pool and beach. When you book, it isn’t always clear which building might contain the type of room that you choose. The creation of Family Select at Bavaro caused some issues for us. The closest area of beach from our room that we were allowed to use had virtually no shade. Family Select and Travel Club had their own private beach that were restricted to us, meaning an extra long walk to find a beach location with huts for shade. Family Select also had a private pool but those guests were also allowed to use the regular Bavaro Pool, making it crowded at times. We had an electricity outage at our room that persisted over parts of 3 days. We had to walk to the lobby to notify of the outage because the land line in the room wasn’t working. The problem was initially fixed quickly but it recurred again the next night. If we were to book Palladium again, we would be looking at a different room type, or fork over more money to stay at TRS. We like the resort for the most part, but there are certainly some issues.

Nice pools great beach our room was goid the bathroom needs work bed was comfortable there was a language bearer alotvof times the bar staff were great the food truck at the beach was nice over all a great holiday

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Old Resort and not good service

The hotel is old, the rooms were disappointing, very old, moldie and not very clean. Especially for the price we paid. The service was poor, and staff were actually rude, like they didnt really care about the people. We witness several medical incidents where none of the staff intervened and the tourists had to provide assistance or support. The beach is nice but very crowded, the food was okay, nothing special. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Not a five-star resort. Two at most

I usually don't do the reviews especially when my review is not going to be a positive one but I do feel a little inclined to share a few words and they're not all positive. On the good note the beach, the sunshine, and the water were amazing. On the negative note I feel that the hotel, by far, is not a five-star hotel so if anyone is looking at the five-star hotel, stay away. Just FYI we booked two rooms, one for us and one for our kids. Both rooms were the same, with two bathroom fixtures that were not just outdated but outright broken. Both rooms were very humid even with AC running and our kids' room smelled moldy. Sorry, three stars is a stretch. The other item that I was not at all impressed with and this is going to be a big one is the level of safety and care. Unfortunately we have witnessed a person die at the neighboring resort that is also being sold by air transit. This is where we bought our package and the staff of that resort did nothing to try and rescue the individual. Ironically the following day as I was going at 6:00 in the morning to book a chair, it was impossible to get a chair at the beach. The resort is overbooked and oversold. I saw a lady falling down and when trying to reach the staff of the hotel they cared very little. I literally had to shout at them asking to help an individual in need so I would be very very cautious about going to this chain of hotels. Just for the sake of if anything happens, you are not going to be taken care of by any form of medical system. Ironically I'm thinking that maybe I will put up a short video. I filmed a lot of footage while at the resort and after witnessing such a traumatic event with the person on the sand being resuscitated, his heart being pumped by visitors and the staff of the hotel standing on the side observing yet another gringo dying on the beach. Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: 5 Star

Beautiful, very clean resort. Staff constantly cleaning, landscaping, cleaning pools , great food! Staff very friendly, white sand beach can walk for miles, at least a dozen different restaurants to choose from. Extremely pleased with everything!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Good

Our room was great, the bottled water is very inconvenient but not bad. The grounds are beautiful and the birds at the buffet are really nice. For such a nice place the people painting are making a huge mess a the walkways making it very unattrective. The beach is great and the pools are good…kids love the water park.food is good and drinks are tasty. I would go back

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia Principe Grand

This was a wonderful hotel. The grounds were very clean. The service very helpful. More choice of different hotels on the same ground. The food was also good, lots of choices with the option of other restaurants on site. I would highly recommend this place to friends.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing and vey clean resort

Very very impressed with the whole resort. The staff was very good especially our butler Luis. We were well taken care of . The room service was good. Paradisus Grand Cana: Luxury all-suite resort

This resort was very well maintained both inside and out. The rooms were spacious one- bedroom suites. We enjoyed the buffet and restaurants were good. Quality of food was very good. Beautiful beach was 2-minute trolley ride away. Staff were very nice and it’s a very family friendly resort with a water park and many fun activities for children. Can take a free trolley to nearby hotel with a casino. Highly recommend this resort for an upscale holiday.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: nice resort

We thought the grounds was very clean and the rooms were very nice. Large rooms with beautiful look out. Service was excellent by the pool and beach, Getting seats for dinner was very easy with now wait and most dinners were very good. The all You can eat breakfast was very good as well..everything you needed.
