Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Lovely resort

Love everything about this resort. Second stay there and everything was as good as the first time. The rooms are clean, staff friendly and courteous. The food is well prepared and they offer a great variety of items on the buffet. The specialty a la carte options are wonderful especially the Italian one. The portions are plentiful and always have a vegetarian option. If I had one complaint that would be not enough shade around the pools. To get a shaded area you had to get up by 5:30 a.m and [... read more] go and put a towel on your chair. That takes away from the rest and relaxation you may have been hoping for.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: AWESOME VACATION SPOT!

We just spent our 2nd vacation at Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville and had a wonderful time! The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and the food was good! Would definitely recommend this hotel! It even has a casino (albiet, small - but it's there and lots of fun!) 2 wonderful pools - a quite one and a PARTY one! If you go, be sure to wander over to the infinity pool located along the beach. It's beautiful.

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Horrible experience

Grounds were amazing...service was only for the young cute girls...and watch out for the wet floors under the air ducts in front of your bedroom door with no signs...and the buffet was horrible...thank goodness for the Japanese restaurant

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Worst resort I've ever been to

I've been to quite a few resorts in th Caribbean and this was the worst I've ever been to. Rooms were clean. Not enough staff in buffet area. 1 to 50 ratio approximately. Most meals were finished before water was served. First day food was good but went downhill from there. Experienced one part cooked burger in the snack bar. 24 bar was slow. Most nights standing in line for at least 10 minutes. Lots of good things about resort but reviews are about the bad parts. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Beautiful Grounds

Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville was a dream come true. The first impression does not lie. Grounds and common areas are expansive and excellently well kept. Check-in was efficient. As our group had booked 3 rooms, as I had just had knee surgery, they were able to commendate my in changing rooms within our group so I could have a first floor room. The buffet restaurants had a variety items, especially if you are fish lover. The specialty restaurants did not fail to impress us. Thanks to my butler Carlos, we were able to surprise 2 people in our party with decorated rooms and Birthday cake, which was for our very reason we went on vacation. The pool areas were clean and the bar staff were attentive, the animation team was friendly and had no problem to get group participation. I had never seen exercises bikes that go into the pool, but it was fun. The only problem in the pool areas was lack of shade or the ability to get a shaded area unless you were up at the crack of dawn. i thank you for very enjoyable holiday.

We had a good week here but would probably choose a higher end hotel the next time. Beach was not the clear crystal blue waters we expected, but once you were over that we enjoyed it. Although there are signs all over not to save huts and chairs, they are reserved by inconsiderate people, who seem to save their spots but not show up until hours later. No beach or pool service. We went to all 3 a la Carter’s, the Italian was the best. Not just for food, but for excellent , attentive and friendly service. The other 2 a la cartes seemed in a hurry to get us out, not friendly and menu was limited. Entertainment was pretty good, excellent beach party. Big issue was that the lobby bar would shut down at 11pm and the lights were all shut off. You had to sit in the dark to finish your drink. And if you wanted to stay up, it was either go back to your room or go to the disco. This part was very disappointing as it would have been nice to sit in lobby area, enjoy time with friends and have a few drinks. Rooms were ok. Definitely need a makeover. All plug outlets were broken, so it was hard to use coffee machine, watch tv, iron or plug in your phone charger. There is no hot water... everyday was a lukewarm shower. Tip your maid and you’ll get good service. We had enough towels everyday. We did pay extra for the royal golden service. This gave us a separate check in and designated staff to deal with if we had issues. Jose from Air Transat and Elisabeth from the hotel were wonderful!! There was premium alcohol here which we drank because i’m pretty sure the drinks were watered down. A lot of people noticed this. Stick with wine or beer. The power went out everyday , sometimes a few times day but only for a minute. Not sure why this occurred, but never longer than a few minutes. Overall we made the best of our time , room to improve but a nice vacation. Next time, we will choose a higher end property.

The grounds were beautiful..well kept. The food was good..and great service..The Best was they finally are making The Ceasar!!!. The staff were all very friendly..our room was great. And well stocked every day.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Wonderful Resort

Hotel was very clean and staff was accommodating. If there was an issue they took care of it quickly. The French restaurant was amazing, although the Italian was a bit disappointing, it was good but was expecting better. The buffet was very good although almost the same items.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Fabulous Resort

We were at the Bahia Principe Bouganville in April 2019. We absolutely loved this resort. It's Beautiful, clean and well maintained. The landscapes are gorgeous with mature trees and beautiful plants and flowers, the beach was fantastic. They have a 5 star service and the food was amazing. We'll definitely go back.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Not good at all for a Grand Bahia

This is the third Bahia i have went to and by far the worse . services was terrible day one TV and Air con not working day 2 no hot water called 3 times to get some one to come fix it took them 3 hours and my last call yelling at them because they kept lying to me saying someone is on there way Power goes out every day at least twice .Food was same every day no change . will never go back and will tell everyone i know never to go there

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: The Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville is a jewel of a resort near La Romana in the Dominican Republic!

We were very impressed by the gardens, walks and pools across the resort and its neighbouring Bahia Principe resort to which we had access. One of the many fine restaurants was the Don Pablo serving French cuisine, which was our favourite.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Super clean & friendly resort

The resort was small but had lots of chairs by the pool. No rush to get up early to save a chair. Always clean everywhere in the resort and I felt safe at all times. The staff was so helpful and friendly- especially Ramonsito in the restaurant. I would go back to this resort anytime.

This is a very nice hotel, friendly staff, very clean. I was with royal golden, worth the upgrade fee. Room right on the beach. Would definitely go back. Ride to the airport and back is close, checkin and check out was easy. Getting the right room a little frustrating but just keep insisting

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: A great spot

Awesome food...super clean and perfect attention to detail...drinks were cold and the sun was hot...rooms were spotless. Staff were always available and the room service was fast and a nice touch..would definitely go back to this resort

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing resort in all ways

The hotel was clean and I mean clean ! The workers were outstanding in their different duties they had, from the hostess at the restaurants to the bartenders to the entertainment groups - everyone was friendly always smiling and always available to you when you needed them. Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach: A Beautiful Resort!

This was our second trip to Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. The property is well designed with a lot of sandy beach front covered with palm trees with lots of lounge chairs. Beautiful sunsets can be photographed from the beach. The beach is private and can only be used by Viva residents; there are no venders bothering you! : ) Our 'superior room' accommodations were fine; clean and spacious. All rooms are close to the beach. There are also lovely swimming pools, if the beach is not your thing. Ple [... read more]ase note there are no swim-up bars. The staff is very friendly. English is not their first language; it is probably their third behind Spanish and French. The food is fine, but we found they used a lot of salt and although baked desserts look great, they were often tasteless. If you don't want to eat at a buffet for every meal, they do have options. In the evening you can try to book at an A La Carte restaurant, I think you are allowed two during a week stay, although we had difficulty booking for eight people and the only time slots we could get were early (6:15pm and 6:45pm).

The resort and grounds are beautiful. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free wifi is impossible to get. Lots of chairs and shade on beach, but water is murky and rocky. Not very accessible. Didn’t like the food at all.

Catalonia Royal La Romana: An Amazing Resort

We were there from Feb 27th to March 4th and it was absolutely lovely! And we would go back in a heart beat!! We stayed at the adults only section of the resort and the service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and ready to serve you. What I really liked about this place that you didn't need to set up reservations at any of the dining places. Just walked up and we were seated. They had a variety of delicious food, any where from seafood, pasta, pizza and steak. There is a garden that I enjoyed in my morning walks. The beach itself, well what can I say better than walk in snow! To bad I couldn't take it back with me. This resort was perfect for us for it wasn't an overly large resort it was a perfect size. We very much like to meet with other guest(s) and get to know them during our stay which makes for a pleasant vacation. Yes, I would go back not for a seven day vacation but for a ten day vacation!! Beautiful resort, from the grounds (landscaping well maintained and gorgeous) to the rooms and of course the beach!! Lots of food choices at the restaurants. Don Pablo- a la carte restaurant was superb!! Rooms are very large and very clean. Beach was amazing. Great sunsets. Lots of lounging chairs with plenty of shades areas if you want. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Very good

Servers in this resort were very nice, very helpful. I had no hot water in my room for two days, after I asked for four times, it got fixed. My room was always clean. Pool also was clean. The beach was okay.
