Riu Palace Las Americas: Best Service I Ever Had: but won't return

We had a really nice week at this resort. Service and Food was 10/10. The resort is extremely well-staffed and very very clean!!!!! Our housekeeping service was exceptional as well. Why I won't go back: 1) Concrete-Jungle. Just not my cup of tea. Missed all of the beautiful vegetation and local critters that you see in places like the Dominican. 2) Insufficient Air Conditioning: We literally slept in wet/damp sheets and wet pillows for the week. I cannot do this again.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

We just came back from spending a week at the Catalonia in Costa Mujeres. Overall, our stay was great, super relaxing. The property is beautiful and well taken care of. The resort is a beautiful blend of modern architecture and lush landscape. We did book the privileged suite which gave us a couple of parks the first being you’re on the top floor with a very large balcony, including a shower and tons of seating. With booking the privileged suite you get access to the beloved restaurant that is only for those guests. The there was good. The menus are not huge, but there are always options to pick from. The rest of the à la carte restaurants in the resort or good I wouldn’t say fantastic. The Teppanyki table was our favourite dinner we had at the resort. The buffet was always good with quite a bit of variety. We ate all of our breakfast there and our lunches there as there were just more options for me. My biggest complaint of the entire trip would be the lack of gluten-free options that were either not clearly marked or nonexistent, especially when it came to desserts not a single pastry cookie or any sweet was available gluten-free. The only desserts were ice cream and sorbet’s and at the Beloved restaurant, I was able to get a delicious Crème brûlée. They did have a gluten-free bread available that was actually quite good but things definitely need to be better marked. If you are full celiac, I feel like you would have difficulties. That being said, I didn’t starve. But I have had better options at other all inclusives. The pools are some of the cleanest I have seen at an all-inclusive resort. I usually never swim in them, but went in several times, the beach is more of our thing. The beach is beautiful, white sand, and not too much seaweed, and it kept pretty clean by the machine that comes by. As far as the water goes, it was a little rough for my liking but it was beautiful and you could walk forever in either direction as the beach is long. We enjoyed the beach more on our excursion to Isla Mujeres. Getting chairs on the beach was not too difficult, but we did have a privileged area with our booking that is roped off. I keep in mind the resort was not at full capacity. I feel like it would be more difficult if the resort was fully booked. The pool area was definitely busier and most loungers were taken up early in the morning. There’s lots of bar options down at the beach plus they serve drinks right to your lounger as well, which is always great. Check in and check out was probably one of the quickest and smoothest we’ve ever experienced at an all inclusive resort. And final note would be the staff, they work super hard and we’re extremely kind in all aspects. Always going the extra mile for anything you ask for. Although tipping is never required we always do at all inclusives. These people work extremely hard long days and the tips are very much appreciated.

Occidental Tucancun: Clean Place

Enjoyed our week. Rooms were very clean. Hotel very clean. Staff very friendly. Entertainment was ok. Not very exciting. The lobby music entertainment was the same every night. Same music. Didn't start until 10:15-10:25 and ended at 11:00pm. There was nothing else to do so went up to our room. Only 3 a la cartes. Mexican (didn't like), Seafood (they had a chicken dish for those who didn't eat seafood/fish) and Italian which was by far the best. Had to line up at 7:00am to book your a  [... read more]l carte. We managed eat at one every night. Buffet was ok. Not an assortment of food, but could find something to eat every day. Preferred the Seafood restaurant for breakfast and lunch as it was close to the pool. Adult pool area was nice. Always found a lounge. Didn't have to wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve one. Didn't go to the family/party pool. Ocean was very rocky. Red flag every day so didn't go in the water. Very little seaweed. Beach clean. No one bothers you on the beach. Didn't venture out of the hotel as we got there late at night. Had I'd known there was a mall across the street, I would have ventured out!

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

The beach was very nice but not a lot of shade. The week we were there it was very windy and we couldn’t really go in the ocean because of the waves. Rooms were suites and very nice. Service was good and food was good as well. There were lots of families so I would not recommend for a couples trip.

Sandos Cancun: Sandos A Great Stay

Sandos Cancun is a small Adults Only resort and only 10 mins from the Airport. We liked that it was non smoking with designated smoking areas. Our deluxe room was spacious, comfortable king bed and very clean. Food at Zango buffet was very good and Japanese a la carte a highlight. St. Trop a la carte had lovely breakfast & lunch by the ocean. Live entertainment in Bar one so enjoyable. The resort was last renovated 20 yrs ago and needs some refurbishing. Riu Palace Kukulkan: Fantastic Resort

The hotel was wonderful and we would definitely return. Grounds were beautiful, the staff were awesome and everything was spotless. Had breakfast in the Elite restaurant each morning, Karen, Ana B & Jasmine were wonderful. Lunch at Buffet (few times at Pepe’s) and then went to restaurants for dinner, we never booked and always were able to walk in. Food was great. The Lobby bar was great place to have a before and after dinner drink. They had special drinks every night. Some other staff who should be named are Efrain, Dennis & Ivan, along with the entertainment staff Maya, Alma and Ophelia (hope I spelt correctly) There were always loungers available beside pools and at the beach.

Senator Riviera Cancun Spa Resort: Best all inclusive to date

Thanks to Monique from trip central who kept coming back in suggesting this resort! The resort was beautiful, private but the serenity aspect which made it special! It’s not a party resort thou there was some aspects if you wanted to in that regards but more a place to meet people relax take in the odd show! The dinner show was spectacular! The Pyramid Cancun: Wow can’t thank you enough I give it a five stars

Thank god we had the black bracelet the restaurants was perfect 5⭐️the beach club was fantastic drinks being served to us in our pool and comfortable beach bed was a 2 hour wait at airport for transport ?but worth the wait ?

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: Amazing resort!!

Everything at this resort was great!! The staff, the beach, the pools, the service, the rooms, the entertainment, the spas, the gym, the food etc! It is very family friendly! We loved all of it! The only negative thing is the timeshare sales tactics that they use! The lady that approached us said it was a welcoming breakfast she was giving us at one of their posh restaurants and a free massage at the spa. When we sat down with the next person she brought us to, it was exactly that, a timeshare pitch. I feel they wasted our 1.5 hours and we feel deceived. If someone says "no" it's 'no"... stop pressuring. We will know better next time. Also, everything is payable in USD at the resort which is very expensive based on the fact we are Canadian. There should be a Canadian option as well.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Nice resort for a one week stay

A nice resort for a one week stay. The dining experience was great with a lot of variety to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. The resort boasts beautiful gardens and the resort is extremely clean. The rooms resemble IKEA inspired furnishings. Bed comfort was okay, yet bed linens and towels were rough. Beach was magnificent. Grand Oasis Cancun: Fun spring break trip

The resort as a whole was massive, food 24/7 available. A downfall was that at midnight there are no longer bars (nightlife) on the resort open, which comes as a surprise for having such a high reputation as being a "party" spot. The room was okay, lots of minor issues. Remote control didn't work, fridge was barely stocked, and if it was, we only received a few bottles of water even after tipping. The beds only had 1 sheet on them and no comforter or any other blankets, making it very uncomforta [... read more]ble. The water is only cold at night as they must shut off the hot water after a certain time. Also not fun if you want to have a late shower or bath. Was disappointed to see that on the beach there were very few beach chairs to lay on. It was very rare to see ones that were free, even for just the two of us. Staff itself as always very kind, no issues there. When I had arrived I was faced with a major issue. The hotel did not have our reservation at all so we had to wait 2 hours in the lobby at midnight after arriving, just to get to our room. We were pretty stressed out and considered even going to book a hotel for the night somewhere else and try to have our travel insurance cover it. Not sure if this was an issue with the booking company or the resort itself but not a fun time after travelling all day and being exhausted. All in all it was a very fun trip considering the cost we paid and I would return, but would definitely make the resort aware of the issues immediately when checking in instead of letting things slide.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Royalton Chic Cancun

This was a lovely resort. Food was good. Lots of fresh options. I liked the buffet better than the a la cart restaurants. Although they were pretty good. I've traveled many times to Mexico, 21 to be exact. This resort by far had the cleanest public washrooms I've ever experienced. Loved they had an abundance of beach towels, no towel card required and could take as many as you wanted. The life guard Kevin was by far the best , always watching. There is a good riptide at times. Only thing about rooms I didn't like was the door on the water closet. It was glass. Some frosted some not so frosted. You could see the person on the toilet and hear everything. Huge lack of privacy. We were there for 14 days. The first week was Spring break and we could still get a good beach chair at 8:30am. The second week was middle aged + everyone was up by 6am saving beach chairs. Great little coffee shop with amazing cappuccino. Really enjoyed our stay.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Awesome Resort!

Extremely clean Resort with very friendly staff. Excellent menus in every Restaurant. Great variety every day at the Buffet. I would suggest more garbage containers on the grounds. Other than that, it is an Excellent Resort!

Planet Hollywood Adult Scene Cancun by Royalton: Amazing food

The food at this resort was unbelievable. We were a little surprised with how many kids there were especially at night considering “adults only” but it was still amazing. We rented a cabana for a day it was great. The beach was perfect, the nicest beach any of us had seen in Mexico by far

Riu Palace Las Americas: Wonderful Trip!

Travelled to RIU Las Americas with friends and was VERY impressed! From the food to the pools....service to the beach...everything was terrific. People were wonderful and every detail was paid attention to. Highly recommend!

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Some good some not so much!!

Food was excellent! Staff was amazing! No shade and we were not allowed to use the umbrellas. Beach is very aggressive red flag daily. Pool is way too crowded. Do not like segregation of Diamond club guests. Reservations were easy to get while using the app. Overall enjoyed our stay but definitely geared to younger crowd!

Guests reserving beach chairs each morning saving up to 12 chairs at a time, found it hard to find any after 9:00 am. Lots for exclusive guests. Only could book specialty restaurants 2 days in advance. Couldn’t get anything booked except for 10:00 pm unless you booked 12:01 am…never managed to get a good reservation in 2 weeks. Food in buffet relatively good although could have been warmer. Rooms very spacious and comfortable..all room staff excellent and English speaking. In fact all hotel staff great and very accommodating..front desk not as much !! Happy noisy fun pool was just that….very noisy.

Crown Paradise Club Cancun: Kid friendly

The hotel was clean, had great amenities, lots of great things for the kids. The big slides were awsome, the kids slides area was set up nice. The pools were freezing cold. The ocean was beauty, waves were always big everyday so little kids not so great for. Needs a swim up bar, and the food wasn't amazing at the buffet, the restaurants were tough to get in, when they needed reservations. The other ones you had to wait in lines, and after 6pm it was a long wait.

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Service was A1, two thumbs up, 10/10!

Secrets The Vine was a beautiful resort for rest and relaxation. The room was beautifully appointed and contained almost everything we could have needed plus more! The mini bar fridge was well stocked daily with beer, soft drinks, fruit juice and water. Snacks were also left for us daily, Pringles and M&M’s. Additionally, we were left a bottle of tequila in our room for the week. Our concierges for the week were Jared and Stephano. They went above and beyond to make our stay special. No reque [... read more]st was too great. All of the service staff were exceptional from morning to evening. And always with a smile! The entertainment was wonderful. The food was quite good with enough variety to please a number of palates. Our meal at the steakhouse was the most memorable and breakfast and lunch at Olio was always exceptional! If you really want to treat yourself, and if it’s within your budget, I would highly recommend Preferred deluxe! This was the first time that we had stayed at a resort “Preferred” and hopefully it won’t be our last! Check in and checkout was fast and painless. I would highly recommend Secrets The Vine!
