Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Ok resort…

The resort its self is very nice, and the rooms are beautiful. The pools and lazy river were loads of fun. The beach was sup par, tons of kelp and buoys and ropes sectioning off areas so absolutely no classic scenic ocean view. The customer service is what really put us down. We called numerous times for a trolly as we were 20 mins from the lobby and we suggested the service, and it would just not show up despite claiming they would. Buffets were over staffed and under serviced. We often made du [... read more]e with a missing fork, napkins, and cups, having to share because staff was not attentive. Our room kept being stocked for 3 people even though we were 4, we brought it up several times with no success, never received a shampoo/cond/soap restock, we had 1 tiny supply for a whole week for 4 of us even after asking. Spanish speaker so no language barrier excuse. Bars were excellent and friendly. Casino is really small and empty. You have to pay for the surfing which was deceiving. Nightly entertainment was a gamble, there was a schedule but whether it would happen was a guess. Tons of us guests would gather round the stage area and wait into night and eventually disperse without any entertainment most nights.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Nice and relaxing trip- beautiful beaches

The hotel was great, especially since we had paid for the Diamond Member. You get exclusive beach access, restaurants and butler service. The staff at the Diamond member private beach were phenomenal l, amazing hospitality l. Our bartender was so friendly and attentive. We loved this resort and will be back again. Also our Butler Marianne was so accommodating and hospitable. We will miss Cuba! See you next time.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Lovely vacation

We spent a week at Royalton Hicacos. I've been to Cuba many times and I think it's one of the best Cuba has to offer. The grounds are so well kept with mature vegetation, beautiful flowers and exotic plants. I loved the cottage feeling of the resort. There are plenty of intimate spots, caves, beautiful furniture and a gazebo. The food was good. I [... read more]t wasn't crowded, so we never had to wait long. Mangoes are so delicious at this time of the year! The ice cream shop is wonderful as well! We were blessed to have Naylet as our butler, she is such a delightful young woman, who genuinely cares about guests having the best time. She organized all our a la carte dinners, decorated our room for my birthday and set a beautiful beach seafood dinner for a romantic night. I felt very special! She was always checking on us if we needed anything! All of the workers are very welcoming and always greet you with a smile. Special thanks to Sonivid at the buffet restaurant, she's a gem! She was our favorite waitress! We were not a part of the Dymond Club and never felt excluded. Mosquitos! They are there, we put deet 30% spray, and lotion and still got a lot of bites! It's better than in Cayo Coco but still take care. There's a pharmacy where you can buy basic medications such as Ibuprofen or Benadryl and hydrocortisone cream. The beach is gorgeous, it's a paradise! The guys always help you to set up the umbrellas with sunbeds. Right on a beach there's a hut with drinks flowing and if you want they bring drinks directly to your spot. The lobby bar is very modern with great service and a variety of amazing cocktails and coffee. Loved the musical bands every night and the opera night. Very talented artists! If you like Cuba you'll enjoy your vacation. It's a Cuban 5-star hotel, not a world-class luxury, keep it in mind. We met a lot of cool people from all over the world. I recommend!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Not as Sunwing advertizes, misrepresented in the marketing of this resort

Pros: - Service and the people who work there are wonderful - Beach is excellent - Lobby bar is great. - Maids and butlers are wonderful. - Snack bar grill is good. Cons: - Food in general...... but this is not a problem for me, and understandable after the pandemic. - Cockroaches, many of them, in our rooms, in the lobby, everywhere. Got bitten by them as they were inside the bed, on the walls, around the floor, etc. This creates a major health hazard, hygene concern and many other  [... read more]health related challenges. - Run down rooms, grey worn down towels, linen have holes. - The manager chooses who to speak to while he does his rounds talking to the tourists......he targets a specific kind of tourist....there is preference from his part.....would be good if he talked to a variety of people there. He is nice though. I do hope things improve as this was a very good resort before and now at the most a 3.5* maximum given the present circumstances. Sunwing should warn tourists about the cockroach infestation.

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: Average hotel

I did read the bad reviews but I chose to go given the availability and last min trip. Service was amazing, there was always someone checking up at the restaurants, pool or even the beach and always smiling.! Food was joke, we ate that same food for whole week for lunch breakfast and dinner. Not lot of options. To make thing worst they run out of things very frequently, even things like mango or avocado. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

Everything was nice - clean, lots of green areas, people are very nice and attentive. Beach area is superb! THe only problem I had was mosquitos, didn't use the pool areas as beach was great and very short walk from the hotel.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great resort

Hotel very clean, food was good. Service was great. Nighttime entertainment could be better. This is the 2nd time being there and would go again. Close to the airport. Everyone is very friendly. Lazy river is amazing for a relaxing day. Resort is perfect for families

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Resort

Royalton great resort, service is impeccable .this resort has wonderful staff and they all speak a perfect English. I would like to thank OMAR our room butler and JASMIN from housekeeping for their devoted service. The beach with the white sand and the ocean with the clear and amazing water was out of this world. Food and beverages were very good .This is definitely a 5 star resort. Bus ride from the airport is long but once you arrive at the resort it is worth it. Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great resort

The rooms are updated, cleaned daily and provide body wash, shampoo, lotion and conditioner. Rooms have bottled water, pop and beer in the mini bar. The food is very good. Buffet has a lot of variety, Caribbean seafood is exceptional and steak house too. We never waited for and restaurants but it was hard to book the Tapynaki restaurant cause we were a large group. Raul, the waiter at the kids pool was exceptional. Resort is beautiful. Only down fall is the beach area is below standard for Cancun. It’s not the blue water you see in Cancun. This place is great for families and couples.

Royalton Habana: Awesome hotel in Havana

Watching the sunset over the Malecon while sipping a Cuba libre by the Infiniti pool on the rooftop is simply breathtaking! This hotel met all my expectations: luxurious, friendly staff , great amenities and an amazing breakfast spread. Not to mention the closed proximity to Paseo Prado and the rest of Havana vieja.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Relaxing resort with an amazing beach

The resort was clean with an incredible beach! We had the Diamond Club package which allowed us to go to a sweet beach bar. Great bartenders and the most amazing BBQ out the back. Our most favourite meal of the day! At the lobby bar we received the best coffee on the resort from friendly staff. Our housekeepers kept our room in tip top shape.

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort

This resort offered pretty much everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The rooms were bright, modern and clean. The resort offered 6 different restaurants plus the buffet. The food quality was great and there was nightly entertainment.

The hotel is great ,staff are very friendly , very good food , rooms are clean and an exceptional, beautiful beach Can’t ask for more Thus was the third time to visit this resort and definitely I will be back

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Disappointing visit

The Royalton is a located in a beautiful part of Jamaica. This was our third visit and I have to say it was very disappointing. The hotel standards has definitely fallen. Having.paid for an ocean view, we were located next to the noisy hotel pool. We had to insist that we wanted another room. The service was slow, we had to make several calls to front desk to have our fridge refilled. Finally, we had to deal with a leaking AC, with water overflowing into our room. Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Highly overrated resort!

It is difficult to find what should be first topic to discuss. In general, to assign star rating, several factors should be considered and compared across travel industry, including at least Cuba, Dominican Republic and Mexico (most common destinations for Canadians). No excuse should be given for embargo, political reasons/government, etc. As such, I would give to Royalton Hicacos 3 star rating at the best. Our room was in is quite area with a small pool nearby and over our stay only once water was added to the pool and it was cleaned once at the same time. There is no water circulation at all. Mattresses and pillows are very dirty, perhaps from the time the resort was built. Towels and bath robes were with untreated stain spots and room service was irregular. There is lack of everything-food, beverages, even ice from time to time. Food is especially limited to chopped salads (cabbage, zucchini, tomatoes), proteins-chicken drumsticks as the best option, some grilled chicken breast strips, pork and simple fish. Our return flight by Sunwing was delayed and rerouted through Punta Cana (shortage of fuel and defects with aircraft) and we arrived to Toronto almost 24 hours behind the schedule. In Punta Cana, Sunwing arranged our rest (only a few hours but thanks for that) in Paradisus Grand Cana resort and this resort was huge contrast with Royalton providing impression what 5 star resort is about. Everything was exceptional and I will not think a second to recommend this resort. Lots negative can be said about Royalton for exception of the beach. I summary, when Tour Operators provide information about destinations/resorts including star rating, it would be good to arrange a tour for their staff to have better verified information on resort conditions and service.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: A Great Time

Attended this resort at the end of April/beginning of May. Here are my thoughts. Check in was extremely quick (even though we were not Diamond Club). We arrived around 3pm. A bellboy took us to our rooms however our wrist bands did not work and we had to return to the front desk to have them corrected. Not a big deal as we hit the front desk after our first buffet dinner. There were some Americans who had arrived around the same time as us and were very upset with how long their check in was [... read more] taking and were very vocal regarding their complaints about not having immediate access to their room when they arrived. We did not have this experience. Our room was gorgeous, large and exactly as depicted in the resort photos. We had a swim out room and wow was that a great upgrade. The pool in our building was cleaned regularly and fresh towels were let for us daily. We saw no bugs whatsoever in our room and it was cleaned by the maid very well. My only complaint would be the towels and bedding linen are quite worn and should be replaced. Food was stellar;buffet fantastic, Rio, Hunter, Oceanside and the Japanese all fantastic. Our party of 4 arrived at 6 for dinner and always obtained a table without a wait. No need for reservations. Drinks were also spot on and even tried some new ones. We tried room service twice and found the food arrived very cold but it was still a great perk. We had dinner at the Sportsbar one evening and found the found cold and not great but not a deal breaker for us. Scoops - coffee shop and dessert place was excellent. Highly recommend the coffee there compared to the buffet. Treats were delicious too! Pools were beautiful and staffed with lifeguards. TONS and i'm not at all exaggerating when i say tons of chairs and umbrellas/shade were available. No issues in getting fresh towels either. The beach was drop dead gorgeous. I was bitten by some bug and had quite the allergic reaction even while using bug spray, an anti-histamine and hydrocortisone cream. So if you are delicious like me prepare in advance. The lazy river or as we called it, the combat zone was super fun. The only drawback is the entertainment. It is completely lacking here. We have travelled fair amount and this was by far the worst resort for entertainment. This is somewhere the resort needs to improve upon. All in all a great time and I would recommend to a friend.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Wonderful resort!

The grounds were lovely and well kept. The staff was beyond helpful and everyone was so happy to see you at any given time of the day! Food, spectacular! Rooms, perfect! The pools were perfect and the sea was so clear and warm!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Mixed thoughts!

The resort in its entirety was decent. The food was fantastic definitely no issues with that. The servers were always more than happy to help. The buildings/pools desperately needs attention. There are tiles missing, capping falling off the bars and steps. Our room was in need of repairs, the drawers wouldn’t close, the sliding door wouldn’t close so our air conditioning wouldn’t work. Resort was clean and so that’s what we were happy with!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Beautiful Resort!

Overall the resort was amazing. The people were very welcoming and professional. The food and multiple in house services were great. Downside: I booked a room in the adult only section of the Hotel (paid extra for this feature), but had young children across the hall and as close as two rooms down from our room. We were told that it was the correct section, but we were also told that some rooms had to be reassigned because of renovations. Paid extra for an ocean view, but was in a courty [... read more]ard view. Saw nothing but a pool under renovation and the back of other rooms which were under renovations as well. Would have been nice to be informed about the “Diamond Club” option. Unless you were registered at the resort under the “Diamond Club”, lunch was not made available to other guests, nor could we make reservations which booked up all the restaurants for the other guests.

Royalton Grenada Resort and Spa: Wonderful Holiday

We had an amazing time at the Royalton in Grenada. The grounds were beautiful. The staff was eager to please. The rooms were fantastic and the beach was lovely. If I did go back, I don’t think I would book the Diamond Club. For the extra money that we paid, I felt it wasn’t worth it.
