Beautiful Resort

It is our first time travelling as a couple and all I can is that I am very happy with the service that was provided to us. Our check in was a little rough because of the amount of people that were also checking in but we were taken care of pretty quickly. The room was modern and very comfortable. Everything was just as we expected and more. The resort was beautiful, had about 4 pools and staff always coming around to make sure your needs were attended too. The staff were amazing as well, they were all so kind and I did not meet one person that worked at the resort that did not smile at you and greet you. The resort was not far from the airport which was a huge plus. Regarding food, we had no issues with food, we are limited when it comes to our diet but there was always something we could eat and left with full stomach. The buffet was amazing, and so was the Japanese restaurant they had on site. We also likes the Italian and the steak house they had! We only had non alcoholic drinks and there was a couple of mix-ups with the drinks that did occur due to the language barrier which was one negative that we had but other then that everything else was amazing. I was nervous when booking this resort at first due to the construction but I am so glad we went and intend to go back once they have finished all the new add ons!

Spectacular experience

Riu Republica is a very modern looking hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. As soon as I arrived I was welcomed with a glass of juice as I waited for check-in, which gave me a good vibe. The resort is a good size, not too big, so the distance to walk from our room to the beach or restaurant wasnt too far. The only complaint I had was that while i was there the hotel had construction going on at early hours of the morning right outside of my hotel room. RIU Replublica

Nice clean and modern resort. The grounds are well maintained the food is excellent and the overall feel is relaxing. Friendly staff and a nice boutique style shop is on the property. The free WIFI is a bonus and there is an excellent selection of modern alcoholic beverages

Beautiful Resort

This is my second time at this resort. It is so nice and clean. The staff are wonderful and entertainment staff are amazing. Definitely will go back. Overall amazing vacation and friendly people 😉 from all parts of the world

Second time around even better.

My wife and I have just returned from Riu Republica Punta Cana for a second time and the resort was beautiful. Although we were very impressed last June, the resort has made some significant improvements to the landscaping as well as service around the pool areas from providing drink service to your pool side chair to munchies and a variety of specialty snacks and drinks blitzes in the afternoon including a mobile ice cream cart which was a nice touch. The variety and quality of food has something for everyone's pallet including the hard to please. Thank you Riu for a great experience and to Miranda our booking agent for going the extra mile. Beautiful resort!

I was very impressed with the resort. It's absolutely stunning and my room was very clean. The 3 pools were gorgeous, it had a white sandy beach and the ocean was an aquamarine colour. I was also impressed how much shade the resort offered around the pools and at the beach. The food was phenomenal and there were lots of choices. I found most of the staff to be quite friendly and they were definitely on the ball- making sure to clear your plate, fill up your water glass,etc. I want to give a shou [... read more]t out to Roberto who works in the dining hall. Roberto is a fabulous server, so please watch for him (they wear name tags). He's very nice! There were only two things I didn't like. The first thing is; we were only given two sheets to sleep with. There was no comforter so, I ended up sleeping with the terry cloth robe they provide you with in your closest, every night. Also, the pillows were small and uncomfortable. So, if you plan on going, bring your own pillow and wear warm pajamas. Other than that, I had an amazing time and would definitely go back!

Our Anniversary Week at the Riu Republica June 5 to June 12, 2017.

Good points...food in the main buffet was superior. We stayed away from the ala cart restaurants. when we discovered most were buffet style including the Japanese. The only one that we tried with a menu was the steak house and the steaks were GREY. They were edible but not steak house style at all. When we tried the so called cheese cake for dessert , we made a beeline for the main buffet for the fresh fruit they had there. Very clean, care takers always washing the tiles outside. Very big hotel, and getting bigger with new construction at the front of the hotel. Wait staff cater more to Americans and Spanish speaking guests . (not unusual I guess :) ) Some guests looked like teens and acted like them too. (not sure if the age is checked for ADULT hotel)

Outstanding Resort!

Having been to many all inclusive resorts this one was one of the best! Starting from friendly and helpful staff to the impeccably clean rooms and property to the buffet selection of foods and presentation to our check out. This hotel is a property we will definitely return to and recommend.

Rui Republica trip

We were very pleased with our trip to Rui Republica. Rooms were nice, grounds were beautiful & well kept, pool areas were clean & maintained. Enjoyed the activities & shows, staff were curious & helpful.

Nice hotel

Lots of beach and pool chairs any time of day, wish there was more alacart restaurants instead of buffets, rooms are nice but if your shy the shower stall is see through glass looking out to the room big resort lots of walking

OUTSTANDING HOLIDAY!!!

We just came back from a PERFECT week in Punta Cana. As recommended by Jennifer Collard, from Trip Central, we stayed at the RIU Republica and we were very impressed with the resort. Although it is quite large, it is very well designed, making everything very "centralized" and easily accessible. The entire resort is VERY clean (bedroom, dining areas, washrooms, grounds, beach), the service was outstanding and the food amazing. My husband and I have been to Punta Cana several times, one main reas [... read more]on being Bavaro Beach, which we fell in love with the our first time there, and which never disappoints - truly breathtaking; but we have to say that this year has been one, if not the best experience. Modern Oasis

The resort was new, with a clean sleek simple design both inside the hotel /dining as well as on the grounds. The buffet gave very good choices. The food at the steak house was excellent. The beach was awesome, however, the waves were very big and strong making kayaking almost impossible. Entertainment was good. This resort seemed to be peepier than its neighboring resorts. Overall a great resort.

Amazing resort

Beautiful,beautiful,beautiful. The staff are great,the rooms are beautiful! The food was good. The animation team were amazing always happy and energenic.the resort is extremely clean! There are 3 pools and always enough loungers for everyone! I only have amazing things to say about The Riu Republica we had an amazing time. We would definetly go back to this resort highly recommended!

Good time

Loved it. Everything was perfect. Food staff and entertainment was fabulous. Only thing missing was room service. We did miss having the option of breakfast in bed. Super fun energy from animation team. Great beverages. Loved the huge sun shelters. Always lots available.

Great resort

The hotel was very nice but access to and from our room made for a long walk each time. It is unfortunate that the complex was not designed with more exits to the grounds. Everyone has to pass through the lobby in order to get to their rooms. I am hoping with the new addition that is presently under construction that a trolley system will also be put in place as it is a fair distance to walk. The staff was the friendliest I have ever encountered. This includes the wait staff in all the restaurants and buffet, bar tenders, pool maintenance, grounds keepers, front desk staff, animation team and the maids. Each and every one had a friendly smile and went out of their way to help. The pools were great, whether you wanted to participate in the activities in the party pool or relax and read a book or nod off at the quiet pool. There were plenty of chairs and shade at all the pools. The beach was lovely and the big waves were fun to play in. The food was very good with lots of variety. We especially liked the Steak House and the main buffet. All in all, it was a great vacation.

Awesome Beach

We stayed at the Riu Republican from March 23 to March 30. We arrived at approximately 3:20 to find our room wasn't ready. We were directed to the buffet to have something to eat and our room was ready by 4:00. Our room was bright and I loved the turquoise accents. It was a Courtyard view (2151) in a quiet building. The king bed was fairly comfortable. Although we didn't meet our housekeeper, housekeeping services were excellent. For evening dining we decided to try the a la cartes we never [... read more] had to wait to be seated. Our preference was the Asian restaurant which we went to twice. The buffet was also great with a wide selection of food. Service was very good in all the dining areas. The dress code for dining was very lax. Bathing suits were allowed in the buffet for breakfast and lunch but most people dressed up a bit for dinner. Long pants were not required for the men in the a la cart in the evening. There were three pools at the resort, one was private, one was quiet and the bar pool was very active. We preferred the quiet pool and never had difficulty getting a lounge chair. The beach on the other hand, if you wanted a lounge in the shade you needed to go down at about eight o'clock to reserve a chair. The beach was amazing for walking. The ocean was fairly rough. We had three days of red flags which really didn't deter some people. The rest of the time it was yellow flags. Overall we enjoyed our stay, great service, good food, good drinks, comfortable rooms and an amazing beach.

Nice Resort

We just got back from a weeks vacation and had a great time. Given it's a big hotel it's laid out well and everything is in close walking distance. The only downfall is that there is no bar on the beach. You have to leave the beach and walk back up to the pool bar to get a drink. In the sports bar I was surprised to see that you had to pay to play a game of pool. The gym was very clean with nice equipment. Did go to the spa and had a couples deep tissue massage and it was the best massag [... read more]e I've ever had. The hotel and rooms are very clean!! Hotel staff are very accommodating. No issues with bugs on the resort which was a bonus.

Amazing Resort!!!!

I stayed at the Riu Republica for my honeymoon and had an amazing time! The room was nice but I wish we had the option of booking the Jacuzzi suite. The service was amazing. If you ever call the front desk or see someone, your issue is resolved immediately. The food was great and there was a ton of selection. The pools were great although I wish they were open later so you can do late night swims but they don't recommend it as they are cleaning them (so I get it). The beach location was so g [... read more]reat that we often saw guests from the neighbouring resorts at our beach. My only complaint would be the night entertainment. It just seemed repetitive by the 3rd night even though they were different acts. It also seemed like the entertainment was geared to a much older crowd. The music could've been much better for sure. Especially at the beach party. But after a few drinks, you can still muster up having a great time. All-in-all, this was a great experience and I would definitely recommend this resort to a friend.

Amazing resort !

Grounds are very beautiful, Public area are very nice with lots of seating area , rooms are very modern and clean. The service is excellent. The Food is excellent. No reservations needed for the a la carte restaurants. I would recommend the steak house. This resort is amazing. there is lots of sitting area`s all over the resort for rest or drinks. love it.

Over advertised....under delivered...3 star at best

Food.....good....lots of choice for everyone except special diets. Drinks .....poor .....wine is swill...horrid Rooms ......clean and acceptable Service .......good Pools ...... great Ocean......dangerous Oceanside beach, chairs and umbrellas.....OK. but you must have the "special clothes pegs"and stake your territory before 8. No spring breakers....think again. I expect honesty from the travel brochure and marketing.
