Sol Palmeras: Great resort

The hotel itself was beautiful, the rooms and bedding were a little dated and not a fresh as I would have preferred. They should have left more than 1 bottle of water for a room with 3 people. The staff were very nice for the most part and the food/drinks were good.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great service and clean

The resort was very nice and clean. The service was great, but the food, so so (it’s Cuba). The vegetable were all coming from cans... no fresh vegetables, except cucumber. But beach, service and the hotel was very clean.

Hotel Los Cactus: Perfect Getaway!

Resort staff are extremely caring and loving of Canadian tourists and make your experience a memorable one. Didn't experience any problems while on the resort and would say the only thing below average was the buffet food. But then again that is expected for most Cuba destinations.

Hotel Tuxpan: Great week had by all!

The people are great, the resort is very clean. The shows were fun at night and the pool is the cleanest I’ve seen in Cuba. The beach is Absolutely beautiful. The food is usual for Cuba and plentiful. Thanks for the fun Tuxpan.

Playa Vista Azul: Beautiful Resort

Hello there, my family and I really enjoyed Ocean Vista. We stayed in number 5 bungalow and the stay where clean and I like the swan that on my bed. The entertainment was wonderful and food. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Well priced friendly resort right in the middle of the best of Varadero !

We have been to Varadero multiple times and this is our favourite hotel. Is it the biggest? No. Is it the fanciest? No. Is it the most expensive? Definitely No. What we love about it is that it blends the two things we love in Varadero - the beach and the nightlife. The hotel is located right on the beach so you don't have to walk through giant grounds for 15 minutes just to get to the water - you step out of your room and a minute later you're picking your recliner. In the evenings you [... read more] are right on Ave Primera and across the street from one of the most-fun places in the city - Calle 62 outdoor cafe and bar with their nightly shows and dancing. Also across the street is Casa De Chocolate ... I believe that speaks for itself, and a convenient small shopping plaza. Other restaurants, cafe's and clubs are also within an easy walk, as is the newly opened medical centre. The staff are great, with one of the best attitudes in any hotel we tried in Varadero and they are always eager to help. From bartenders to dining room staff to room staff each one has made our stay a pleasure. And no, I'm not getting paid to write this - it's the simple truth. If you are the kind of traveler that needs 5+ star service and likes to remain only within the hotel complex than this is not a hotel for you. But if you like the convenience of a good hotel while being close to the town's attractions then you could hardly do better in Varadero than SCP.

Blau Varadero: Beautiful

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Adult's only -people well dressed -classy and the nightly entertainment is great. They have this great big bar right in the middle of the hotel where everyone socializes or just a great place to listen to live music. The entire hotel feels like your in a tropical rain forest. Sol Palmeras: Sol Palmeras

The hotel was very tired looking and dated. The a la cartes were mediocre and the buffet was acceptable. Our room smelled of urine, all the time! We had difficulty receiving water despite the fact that the water was not potable and tipping everyday. The staff were polite and helpful. I would not return nor would I recommend this.

Grand Memories Varadero: 2.5 stars Average hotel

Overall is ok hotel but need to upgrade a lot of things. Room service is slow and did just ok cleaning job. Bar is not bad. Food shortage has effect which is understandable but dinning restaurant need to make food more fresh not serving cold make it wasted

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Satisfactory

The hotel was in decent shape with a very nice beach area, lots of energy from the event staff. Was not so impressed with the wait staff in the Buffett and very slow service in the snack bar and lower restaurant. Alacarts where fantastic with great food and great staff. Housekeeping was atrocious and our towels were not changed in 6 days even after multiple conversations with maids. I would not go there again in my opinion.

Starfish Varadero: Fantastic Resort!

Yet another amazing stay at this continuously improving resort. All expectations met! Our 7th or so stay at this spacious beach front resort with wonderful and courteous staff. Thank you Osmin Curtis, Luis Miguel, Rocky, Aralena, Ydell, Gissele and the many other staff that has made our stay so great for so many years past and hopefully future. If you do your research you will see this is ideal beach front, family friendly resort. It has the options of bungalow and hotel accommodation and two pools(one on the hotel side and one on the bungalow side). For piece of mind also, we noticed on this trip(June 2019) there was significant improvements and presence in the security staff(good sign in my opinion), not that we expect trouble...but it's nice to feel secure wethere first time stay or frequent guests. If you are looking for choice(Bungalo/hotel style, 30 second walk to beach, clear calm shallow waters)-this is the resort to be.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Comfortable, friendly resort

The staff were friendly, the grounds were clean, the pool was clean, food was good (for Cuba) Lots of choices for meals. Hop on Hop off bus, close by, convenient. Great atmosphere. Shuttle services to the sanctuary section could have been better. It was extremely hot and humid and after a long day on an excursion, a ride back to sanctuary would have been nice. The resort is a bit dated but the beach is beautiful! We stayed in room 577 and it was decent, definitely not luxury but it was clean and beds were comfy. The pool area was clean and beautiful also. Lots of options for shade at both the pool and beach. The staff were amazing. Rooms on upper levels seem to be better. We had to change rooms for our last night because our air conditioner broke, we were moved to a room on the lower level in the 400 block and it was disgusting! It was very nice hotel the only thing is that they should have handles on the washroom the toilet is very low I am senior And the only thing is when you need golf cart and you want to go back to the hotel my Daughter and I waited for long time Golf cart the golf cart should be running every Five minute had great time and the people are very nice we mice them when we came back

Memories Jibacoa: Vacation

Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach was beautiful and snorkelling is absolutely amazing. The food was good and the a la cart restaurants are very tasty. The main buffet is good but very warm and needs air conditioning. Rooms are very clean but dated.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: My Happy Place

My wife and I just love this resort , it is our 6th time to Sanctuary at the Grand Memories and plan on going again . We so enjoy meeting all the very friendly staff from the moment you arrive to when you leave they are terrific. The Butlers are amazing they will do all your dinner arrangements all we have to do is relax . the waitress remember you name and the Bartenders know your favourite drink . It is very relaxing no stress, a true vacation.

It was good we enjoy your self the only thing we had to wait for golf cart to pick us up from the beach my mom is a senior and it was very hot for her they should have the golf cart running every 5 minutes to pick up people from the beach and take them back to the hotel that's the only problem everything was great the people are very nice and I got treated like royalty

Melia Marina Varadero: Good resort

The hotel was ok needs bit of TLC its modren tho, the mattresses were deep and need to be changed house keeping was very good altho I take my own bed linen and ask them to keep it on. Food was fresh every day good selection but exact same thing for seven days. Also Someone need to explain to the locals that occupied 95% of the resort to be respectful and stand in the line with the rest and stop bidding in front as you wait for your orders eg shrimps, grilled chicken, egg or at any station [... read more] also they need to hire staff that speak english . The resturant manager is such a hard worker and organized everything and plays a fair game regardless if your cuban or tourist. Beach is very pristine and beautiful enough loungers around. Swimming pool needs to be updated all the tiles are broken and very slippery inside you could easily slip. But my only compliant was few of the resturant staff and beach bars were not doing their job to their potentials unless you tipped but its understanding too that their job isn't easy with so many orders especially the ppl in the swimming pool that swarm the bars with alcohol and the resort was full of kids which you could not even enjoy a moment of peace with one or two jumping over you in the pòol or jacuzzi.
