Secrets Wild Orchid: First Class Resort!

This resort is exceptionally clean and very well managed. Rooms are luxurious, the several restaurants offer an amazing array of food. The bars are lively, all the staff are friendly, polite and very helpful. The beaches and pools are amazing, spotlessly clean and very well staffed...no waiting around for a cocktail here! I have only positive, 100% complimentary opinions of the whole resort. I felt truly pampered! I'll be back in the Fall!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: 5 Star Flop

In general the resort was big and beautiful! Food was excellent, people we friendly and welcoming. Pool areas were beautiful. However, if you are looking for a 5 star beach, look else where. The beach was disappointing. Chest deep water, at best, with views of rock walls. Another major issue is the health care on resort. God help you if you are seriously injured. One nurse services a resort of nearly 600 rooms. No one except the nurse has band-aids, including the life guards. But the absolute w [... read more]orst part was the check-in... you basically go on a tour of the resort. Not what you feel like doing after travelling 40 hours.

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Worth Every Penny!!

My wife and I truly enjoyed out stay! Though we wished to stay and join another couple friends who were staying on the Adults Only side of this resort, there was no issue moving between the two sides of the resort. The upgrade to CLUB level was worth every penny! The service was outstanding and we felt pampered. They set up our bed with a wonderful Birthday display using flowers and champagne as it was my birthday on the Tues. The staff was very helpful and fun to deal with!!! Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Awesome service! Beautiful resort

We just returned from a 1 week stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe in Jamaica and what an awesome experience it was!!! Having stayed at several other resorts in Jamaica including Sandals, I have to say that overall the service is excellent especially at the Jasmin buffet. The service provided there was superior to anything I have experienced in my travels through the Caribbean. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The beach isn't a great beach to walk but it is amazing all the same.

Secrets Wild Orchid: best resort ive been to

if there was such a thing as a perfect resort for couples...this is definitely it...will absolutely return!! staff was fantastic and always there...drinks were great..food fantastic...no night buffets except for lobster saturday night... all the restaurants were top notch...rooms were great...room service was fast

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Awesome Resort

Loved the layout of the resort/ huts, public areas are kept clean. Staff are friendly, awesome nightly entertainment and variety of food/ different theme every night was great! Disappointment was the beaches/coves, small and rocky- only reason why I wouldn't return to this specific resort.

Beachcomber Club: Mixed feelings

We liked: location - in the middle of the beach and within walking distance of Negril, friendly staff, open air dining area and couches There were a lot of little things that we didn't like: no info given when checking in or posted in the rooms as to meal times, where to find beach towels or how to reserve a beach chair or other facilities available. The bar was quite often out of ice or water so couldn't get drinks. The buffet ran out of food or coffee and we had to wait for it to be refilled. [... read more] The buffet choices were very limited with a repeat menu but tasty. The rooms were a good size and comfortable but in serious need of some upgrading.

Riu Reggae: Great resort!

We stayed at the Riu Reggae the first week of March. I am hard pressed to have anything negative to say about this resort. The food was great, staff were all very attentive and friendly and the rooms were very clean. The animation team goes out of their way to say 'good morning' to everyone each day. I thought this was a nice personal touch. I am a very picky eater and pretty particular about my room when I travel so to have no complaints is saying a lot. We did have a garden view room [... read more] but honestly had no issue with it. You don't go to Jamaica to spend time in your room. When we did use the balcony at the end of the day, it was relaxing to have a peaceful place to sit away from it all. We had a few windy days at the beginning of our trip and the balcony was sunny and protected from the wind. If you leaned over the railing you could even get a small glimpse of the water. I never felt unsafe, security was constantly walking by so no one was going to try and climb the fence. We did not try the gourmet restaurant as the menu did not appeal to us however the other restaurants were great and we never waited long, if at all to get in to them. I liked that you didn't have to wait in line for hours to make reservations like I have at other resorts. You could eat at the a la carte restaurants as frequently as you liked. There was always something going on during the day. This was the first time I was at a resort that had live music during the day and it was fun sitting by the pool and listening to the bands. I would definitely recommend this resort and would go back again.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort

This is a very family friendly resort and great for adults also. Grounds a very clean and well looked after. Our room was spacious and clean,and cleaning staff were very friendly and good at their job.Food was plentiful and a good variety. The beach is nice but to shallow if you like to swim,which is great for little kids to play in.

Good hotel with a few minor problems ....staff generally ok .... service a little slow....food never went hungry jerk chicken was my favorite...24 hr coffee bar was awesome the coffee in Jamaica is one of the best we have tasted in all our travels....the rooms are dated but clean...could be noisy with music from other hotels,disco so hard to sleep some nights .....the beach very small , rocky ....good waterpark for kids...shopping was expensive even after bartering ....pools were good ....downto [... read more]wn was a nightmare with locals selling !!!!!!! you can figure that one out.....airport was also a nightmare took us 1 hr just to pass customs as super busy.....bus ride to hotel 25 minutes depending on traffic...front staff very good and west jet rep wonderfull with lots of experience and knowledge.They try to sell you on sister properties upon arrival...not my bag so be carefull....Would i go back that's a toss up..Everybody has their own opinion and for us it was good but not great.I would recommend to a friend but would explain all i know about the hotel

Club Ambiance: Huge Disappointment

This is not a 3 Star hotel!! We were dropped off at entrance which was on the road BC it's so small that a bus can't drive in there. This place is right beside a very busy highway and the semi truck use their engine brakes throughout the night while passing by. Cement on the entrance is all broken up and we had to push our suitcases on it to get to the front desk. You have to use stairs to get to your room. Everything looks super old and out dated. Towels in the room were stained and they  [... read more]had the thinnest old small towels at the beach. Oh right, which beach?? Tiny little man made beaches. Water In their man made lagoons was up to you knee and very rocky. No service at the beach for drink refills. Only 27 people there and by the time we had left after a week then was maybe 5 people left there. Staff does their very best with the limited resources they have. There is only 1 restaurant which is only buffet for each meal. They have burger & fries in the afternoon. The food was simple and good. No bottled water anywhere. There was very little Entertainment every night. We would say this place was way over priced!

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Most beautiful beaches I have ever been to

Most beautiful beach I have ever been too. All staff are wonderful, very polite and helpful. I did not like the location of my room and within 15 minutes they had me set up in another room. My only criticism is that being a "palace" I would of expected the room to be a bit more upgraded and it was very regular , nothing differentiated from most all inclusive resorts I have been in the past, but was still nice, clean and good size. The catamaran ride was the best $59 dollar spent , very fun after [... read more]noon. The jeep , 4 wheeler was not worth the cost do not waist your money on this tour.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Roaches

Roaches followed us all the way home to Canada. Please look into that. We have forwarded complaints about this and are waiting to see what the follow up process is. This is utterly disgusting. Now we have to get someone to fumigate our home. Your comments will be appreciated.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Good resort

Very clean,good grounds, efficient style management, good atmosphere for vacation, Good beach,very clean, very safe for kids and snorkeling ,but beach is private,only for a short distance walking. , Good entertainment in the evenings, Friendly staff ,rooms are good,but bathroom are old, and require to be renovated in my opinion.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: My second home!!!

Had and excellent time as always as this is our 2nd visit! Simone our Butler (yes you heard right we had one no charge) Created a date night for us bubble bath lavender scent in our room and yes a bottle of champagne! Also 24hr room service (no charge) had a great margharita pizza, ceasar salad and nachos at midnight after partying all night on the private balcony lounge by the front lobby! I love the people here as they treat you like family there was even 5 of them that remembered us from last year which blew me away! That is how much they care about there guests. Shout out to Garfield, Becky, the beach Bartenders special bunch of people everyone actually made our time here memorable! Looking forward to my next visit! Can"t wait. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a private adults only experience.

Dreams Rose Hall: Family Fun

Hilton Rose Hall was great! The lazy river, pools and beach were a hit for my 3 and 5 year old. The staff were very friendly. It's 14 minutes from airport. We upgraded to a partial ocean view and was worth the extra money. We plan to return again next year!

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: Great Resort in Jamaica

We recently stayed for two weeks at the Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall and as any hotel we found great and not so great things with this hotel. Most positive that negative things, for sure!...and the small gestures described below made all the difference to us... Among the positive: - Very friendly staff - Great daycare service for the kids - Beautiful setting - Nice beach - Nice shows There were also many details that we have that we found refreshing. Just small things like: - Not having to w [... read more]orry about loosing the towels' ticket they generally give you at many other resorts they arrival day or they would charge you extra - The fact that there were not many tour agents fighting to sell you their tour, but one point of contact and no lineups - the fact that you don't need advanced reservation to go to the restaurants and you can pick and choose on the spot - The welcome lounged at the airport - The direct shuttle services to the hotel, rather than one big bus that would have you deliver 50 people to 10 different hotels before reaching your destination - But the one gesture that we welcomed the most was the fact that we did not have to deal with hotel staff harassing us to become a Hyatt member or upgrade our status in exchange for a breakfast meeting and the promise of arranging our shuttle to the airport for departure, as it happened to us in many other Caribbean destinations with other hotel brands. Among the negative: - Not enough restaurant options if you travel with kids and stay longer than a week - The bathrooms for general use, although they looked nice, they often were out of service and they smelled bad on a regular basis - Rooms facing toward the main food-court and entertainment area where often subject to very high noice levels and music volume, so if you are travelling with young kids and/or hope to go to bed before 10PM this could be a real challenge.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Go somewhere else

We took a 2 bedroom presidential suite that ended up being 2 adjacent rooms since the outside door had no lock on it. The place was filthy and and never cleaned properly. They run out of everything (food, drinks, etc) and never replenish. We paid a fortune to stay there and we were begging to get bottles of water... pathetic. Go somewhere else...
