Hotel Camino del Mar: Fabulous Resort

The hotel was great, rooms were lovely, food was great, the beach bar had an amazing lunch every day, beach was unreal. Everything was close, which is what we like, so hopping from the pool, to beach, to rooms, to buffets was no problem. Staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel no problem.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful Resort

The resort was beautiful. The staff works really hard and do their best to please everyone. I was not impressed with the food. As a vegetarian I usually can always find something to eat. The food was bland and there was very little choice. They ran out of eggs. Lizards and frogs were in may of the rooms.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Fresh new beach resort

Very clean hotel rooms with great whisper soft air conditioning unit. The bar and desk staff spoke excellent english and were friendly and happy to assist in any way possible. The landscaping around will mature in time and workers were kept quite busy with this. The pools and swim up bar were lovely but what popped out was the view out into the pool area right out to the beautiful aqua ocean as you walked through the main lobby !!! Had an occasion to receive medical care and was impressed with the prompt attention, costs to be reimbursed with my own health plan in Canada. Very relaxed walks on the pristine beach without the hassles of vendors. Enjoyed this vacation !!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Ok resort

Overall the resort was ok. Pretty run down and staff did not seem overly friendly which was surprising because of all the great reviews. Room was fine, did not get separate beds as requested but it was clean and cleaning staff was good. Food not the best at the buffet but a la cartes were great. Beach was beautiful! Had a great time but found the resort quite pricey for what you get.

Hotel Mojito: So nice!

The grounds were well kept, you could tell they were rebuilding from the last hurricane that hit them, but they kept most of it out of main sight. The food was meh, but if we’re being honest, you aren’t going for the food anyway. The rooms were nice, massive beds, nice bathroom, awesome views. Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing Beach!

The beach was the best part! Clean white sand! No rocks in the water. The hotel grounds could use some updating: paint jobs, rust maintenance, landscaping to prevent flooding when it rains. Rooms were clean and current. Great views. Bar fridge was stocked, although water restocking was missed a couple of times. Ran into towel shortages. Staff was great and most could speak English; they were pleasant and proffesional. Buffet food and buffet cleanliness could use some work--mediocre at best. Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Sercotel: Amazing for kitesurfing

The hotel is correct, the service is poor. It was hard to get a cup oof coffee in the morning... in fact, it was hard to get cups and glasses... The rooms are due for repairs, but it probably won't happen. The good point is the location and the beach. It is perfect to learn kitesurfing! The ware is clear, the view is amazing!

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort

Our second visit to this resort .Great 18 plus very clean beautiful beach and wonderful staff! Will be going back next year. The food is really good , always lots of choices and 24 hour pool bar. Also the entertainment is excellent, especially aqua night.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good vacation!

First time to this resort. We booked a superior ocean view room. The room was nice and clean with a king size bed. The mattress is pretty used up( after a couple of days, my back was sore). The view from the balcony was amazing! The beach is very nice. The staff is very nice and helpful. Unfortunatly, my husband and i got very sick for about 24 hours while we were there. A few hours before, we shared a plate of bbq chicken and fries. So, we’re thinking, probably the chicken. Something that the [... read more] resort could ameliorate is at the buffet restaurant, there is shellfish cooked at almost every station. My husband is allergic to shellfish. They cooked shellfish on the same grill as the other meats and pasta, using the same ustensils. So, he was very limited to what to eat. Other resorts, have a station just for shellfish. But, overall, we had a great time with family.

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful Melia Cayo Coco, Always......

... BEAUTIFUL MELIA CAYO COCO…ALWAYS… We just came back from a 2 weeks stay at Melia Cayo Coco. This was our 12th time. It was nice to see all the friendly and very dedicated staff who make this resort very special. The resort looks very open and we can see the ocean everywhere. The weather was hot to very hot and we were happy to go for a swim in the ocean every morning before breakfast. The resort is very clean, and the service always excellent. The beach restaurant is reopened with [... read more] the group playing every day for lunch. They did a fantastic job to rebuild, plant new trees, new buffet restaurant, etc.…. The buffet restaurant is bigger – no patio with outside tables – brighter, white paint and white table and chairs. It has bright LED spotlights at an angle on the ceiling, which mean that depending on where you seat, you may have those spotlights shining right on your face. We tried to sit in a corner to avoid those lights. Those lights also bring a lot of heat to a big dining room which has a struggling air conditioning, so it was quite hot most of the time. After we talked to the manager they turned off some of the lights which helped. There is a very strong echo in this restaurant so that even if only one person spoke, it was very loud. When the dining room was full for dinner, the noise was unbearable. A few people whom we talked to were so annoyed by those lights and the acoustic noise that they decided not to come back to this otherwise lovely resort. As for us, we liked the resort and want to be able to return. We hope that the management will soon find a solution to it. We know that there are many other priorities, but this should be high on the list. The food in the buffet was excellent. We had dinner at the International restaurant, good food, poor air conditioning and at the Mediterranean restaurant (we did not like the menu). The buffet was always our first choice. The entertainment was first class. Elim the pianist at 7 PM who always put us in a good mood with his selection of music, the Vocal Andares singers, the Band Familia, the Vibraphonist, the night shows in the lobby, the excellent and talented dancers..the shows around and in the pool etc… We want to thank Gipsy Lopez Reyes for selecting the proper non-smoking room for us, our maid Dianeya with her lovely smile, our waiters in the Buffet Diarlys, Joel, Olexis,Chevi, Oswaldo. Vivian with her beautiful smile at the International restaurant in the morning for breakfast. Aranelis and Tamara in the lobby, all the friendly gardeners, etc… At the reception, the staff was very helpful, especially Ariel.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: All in all great stay!

In few words: great value for the money. The resort itself is on a smaller side, everything is close, not a lot of walking required. We stayed in building #1, which is right between the entrance to the beach and the pool on the other side. Room was clean, good customer service upon request. Food was ok, never went hungry. Snack bar "Bites" was not too good in my opinion (food and service), so we opted for buffet. Entertainment was good, both during day and night. Melia Jardines del Rey: Best beach ever

Well kept grounds and nice walkways for going for a walk. Spacious rooms. Very smooth check in. The entertainment was excellent. Food was of a good variety and plenty. Beach is best I’ve seen in Cuba. Pools are beautifull and clean. The people were friendly ,except the two waitresses in the buffet had a little bit of an attitude,which is not normal for Cuban people and I’ve been to a lot of places in Cuba.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Going back next year

Hi there we just got back from a 8 day stay at the Pestana. We had a great time. The staff were wonderful , food was great, room were clean , and the most important for us was the BEACH. Best beach we have had. This was my sixth time to Cayo Coco and we will probably go back to Pestana. My only complaint would be was the line up in the airport. Sunwing only had two counters open where as Air Transit had 5 and Air Canada had 4. Hotel Mojito: Clean Resort....

First time in Cuba ... The resort was clean and food was good for Cuba. I had one issue and fixed it right away. So no complaints at all about the resort. Fridg is stocked every second day . The beach was fab! the La Cart was great food. Some of the resort is not running due to the hurricane which is understandable . Cuba on the other hand lol well that is a different story and not a good review lol

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fantastic Resort!

This was one of the nicest resorts I have been to. It was clean, the people were welcoming and friendly, the food was good and the beach was breathtaking! The lake and channels were also beautiful to walk around. It was pretty quiet since everything except the snack bar shut down at 11pm. There was no disco on the resort, but there was a bus to take you to one at 11pm and bring you back.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Felt unwanted

On arrival to the hotel we encountered a nice staff at the front desk who signed us in. Unfortunately, he was only one of a handful of nice staff as the rest of the people we encountered were rude and made us feel as if we were an inconvenience. In addition to the mostly rude staff, the grounds of the resort were often littered with plastic refuse including cups and straws. Even the ocean floor at the beach had straws and cups in it that I saw while snorkeling. The best part of this vacation was seeing the wildlife, including the little toads, tree frogs, lizards, and wide variety of water birds. I loved the beach and the water was calm and warm and lovely to swim and snorkel in. Heck, even the food was decent and I was always able to find something tasty to eat. However, because of the unclean surrounds and rude staff I will not recommend this hotel or return to it for any reason. What a sore disappointment.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Another week in paradise

Visited this resort from April 20-2 2018. It was amazing to see how well this resort has recovered and improved since the hurricane last year. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has an enjoyable vacation. The selection of food and drinks is great, I am very picky and had no problem finding something yummy everyday. i would absolutely recommend this hotel for families, couples or friends.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Awesome resort

Love love love this resort. Although the hotel itself is a little tired, the people and beaches more than make up for it. Both al a carte restaurants were very good and nicely decorated. Buffet had a large variety so definitely didn't go hungry. The beach restaurant had the best ribs I have ever eaten, my compliments to the chef. The amazing beach and ocean are a little bit of heaven. Went on a snorkeling excursion and was very impressed by the various fish and corals.

Melia Costa Rey: Good vacation

Hotel is beautiful - lobby is amazing and rooms really nice. No issue with water, hot water, a.c. .... All great. Hotel sits on amazing stretch of the beach and sea. No rocks in the water and very min grass. Beach is long and wide. Negative is that all covered huts are taken early so left are one that aren't fully covered or none at all. Almost impossible to be on the beach without being protected from the sun a bit or my case fully. People get up at 5am to reserve those covered huts so be  [... read more]ready to get up early or bring tarp to cover ones without cover. There should be way more huts and all should be fully covered. Food is typical Cuban and after 3 days all taste the same. Meat isn't cooked all the way which is not good for chicken or pork so pay attention. Beach and pool grills aren't run efficiently at all so be ready to wait for food as they cook per order instead of cooking food and serve as cooked. Service is slow - even with tipping be ready for slow service. Also pay attention to exchange rate and money you get in exchange for CDN$. Resort run out of beer for the whole morning and beach towels for one day. Find it interesting that after all complaining about US and US$ from Cuban side got charged in US$ at the airport duty free shop for stuff we got there. Flights with sunwing to Cuba and back were excellent, airport experience in Cuba was really good.
