Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Wonderful resort with beautiful grounds, amazing beach and wonderful restaurants. Grounds were meticulous. Staff were very friendly. Entertainment Shows were very good . Our rooms were very clean. We were celebrating our Anniversary and received champagne in our room for our arrival as well as dinner reservations at the Italian restaurant.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: It was nice

Resort was very clean with amazing restaurants. We enjoyed unlimited and no reserve idea for restaurants. Lounge chairs were better than other resorts. Only negative thing was the pushy timeshare people. Every building had an attendant on duty and his job was to send you to timeshare. They got a little rude when we refused. We also had a problem with having our fridge stocked. When we ask for beer, the guy who delivered came right out and asked for a tip. My husband told him it’s part of se [... read more]rvice after he asked three times for money. We were furious at his attitude and complained. Can’t say that we would return to this resort.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful

Family of 4 (2 teenagers), 2 adjoining rooms. The grounds, the pools, the bathrooms were meticulously maintained. The staff always eager to help. All worthy of a 5 star. Overall great stay ... however a few things needs adjusting: 1.our room had a humidity/sewer smell for most of the week... the hotel put a dehumidifier and sprayed lemon but the smell remained throughout the week in one of the rooms (we were in building 12) 2. there should be a better way to go to the restaurants and not be  [... read more]disappointed because they close at 10PM... we arrived at the restaurant at 7h30 (yes a little late, but hey were on vacation and it was our last night)- we would have really wanted to finish our week at the steak house (the best of the a la carte), but there was a 2 hour wait and the restaurant closed at 10h .so they didn't take our reservation. The lighting in the restaurant could also be improved... except for the steakhouse and Yin (the japanese), they were all ‘way’ too bright. Lastly, the beach however beautiful it is (sand, clear water) is very crowded in front of the resort. Took long walks to get away from the crowd, and also very much enjoyed our day at Saona island... beautiful, way less people, saw starfish, great day!

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Amazing resort

The resort grounds were immaculate, the rooms are beautiful and the staff are amazing. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. It is not too big so easy to get around and you have many choices for food at all times, you can have a quiet day at one pool or you can sit at the party pool where there is always something going on. The beach was amazing and kept very clean.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Everything is great about this resort!!The sea view room was beautiful to have!! Three pools to enjoy ‘ All the staff was friendly! The food was very good overall! The gourmet cuisine was my favourite! I would go back in a heartbeat!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: A glorious resort

So very pleased with our choice to go to Hotel Chic Punta Cana Dominican Republic Everything from our diamond club room overlooking the pools and beach and comfy beds and our own Butler which took care of our dinner reservations to making sure we had anything we needed, The food was superb and top named brand alcohol available everywhere. You never had to look for a waiter they were always coming by to see if you needed a bottle of water or a drink or food. The staff always had a smile for us! Could not have been happier and they also have a top notch spa with Hydropools which we used daily

Riu Republica: The Ultimate Adult Playground

First the restaurants were phenomenal. The Japanese and Indian were my favorite of the 5 on the resort. we hook hopped all day. The "pink party" was awsome. I could go on and on about the resort but I guarantee if you book here you will not be disappointed.

Excellence Punta Cana: First Class resort

My wife and I stayed at the Excellence Punta Cana for a week at the end of February 2020. From the time we arrived at the front door it was a first class experience. All the staff were incredibly courteous and helpful. The food was great and the service was excellent even by the pool and on the beach. We had lots of choices for dinner in various restaurants with no reservations required. The entertainment was fantastic with a new show every night. The grounds were clean and extremely well kept a [... read more]nd the beach was groomed every day. There were lots of beach umbrellas and lounge chairs to go around which was a pleasant surprise. The beach was beautiful with soft fine sand and lots of palm trees as a backdrop. Our room was clean and well maintained every day. Overall a great experience.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Overall good 4/5

Overall we enjoyed our stay with the Privileged upgrade. While we weren’t “wowed” by anything, there wasn’t much to complain about either. I’d recommend trying if at a good price. However, we’ll probably try another resort on our next trip in our search for “the best” in this price range.

Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing resort

This resort was fantastic, grounds are beautiful, staff are extremely friendly And hard working. I loved the size of this resort not too big. We stayed in building 6 which was perfect, close to everything. We had a fantastic holiday from the moment we arrived until it was time to go home

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Amazing resort

I thought the whole resort was excellent. The grounds were beautifully kept, the food was delicious, the staff were all friendly, and the rooms were nice. Only two gripes I have are that there never seemed to be enough seating in the lobby bar area and that there were constantly people selling excursions in the booth rights beside the towel hut. Every time I went for a towel exchange we'd have several people hound us about zip lining, buggy riding, etc. They are relentless salesman and it's a [... read more]wkward to keep telling them 'no' without being mean to them. All-in-all though our entire group had such an incredible week and we would definitely recommend this place to a friend if they're going to Punta Cana. Thanks for the amazing vacation!

Paradisus Punta Cana: Average hotel, not the 4 star I was looking for

It was a fabulous hotel before but not anymore.Hotel need updates. Most restaurants were not available, all reserved, even though there were very few people there. The food at the restaurants was average.Also the buffet restaurants serving very similar food every time.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: First-Class Resort

Royalton Bavaro was absolutely fantastic resort. Grounds, buildings, rooms were impeccable. The beach and water was spectacular. Pools were great though could be a tad warmer. The food in all restaurants was good but not great. The large majority of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Liquor drinks were weak and house wine was poor. Overall this is a fantastic resort for a family trip. Exceptional if you have kids.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Now Onyx! Would return in a heartbeat!

The great the good and the not so good. Great, beach - sandy and great to swim. Room, super clean and spacious. Pools, amazing and lots to choose from. Food - great to good depending on where you go. The buffet was decent. Italian was a top contender, as was the Asian. Steak and French were ok. The ground at this hotel are beautiful, and all of the staff are great and willing to help with everything. The only thing that I would change would be the water park. Which didn't have any [... read more] type of water slides to accommodate my 4 and 6 year olds who love water parks... All the slides where for the adults as they were fairly big. Other then that such a wonderful resort for the week! Would return for sure!

Impressive Punta Cana: Best Resort I've been to

I’ve been down South 3 times before this, twice to DR and once to Cuba. I travelled with 7 other people including my wife and 3 children, ages 10, 9 and 7. I booked with Tripcentral.ca and flew with Air Transat. We were there from Feb 29th to March 7th. Check-in: We arrived after 1 in the morning due to a flight delay and were the very last group to check in and much like most of the other reviews suggest, it was painfully slow. I don’t even know how long it took but it seemed like an hour  [... read more]and there were only a few groups ahead of us. I wanted to get premium for us all and was able to negotiate a price of $320 US for all three rooms total. We weren’t on the premium side of the resort but all got the upgraded, ocean view rooms with Jacuzzis. On the first day we were greeted by a staff member (Jonathan) who took care of making all of our a la cart reservations for the week, gave us some tips of where to go and what to do and, of course, asked if we would go to a sales presentation the next day. He was honest with us about the fact that he understands it’s probably not something we’re too interested in but even if that’s the case, he would get commission if we went and it would be good for his job. He also said we would get a $150 voucher towards and excursion if we did go, even if we didn’t but anything. We decided to take him up on the offer and about 30 minutes into the presentation which was scheduled for 90, the representative who was pitching us became very aware that we would not be buying anything and we were able to leave and we got our voucher. She was the nicest person to us until I told her that I wasn’t interested and then she became rather rude and told us we wasted her time. I was glad to get the voucher none-the-less as we did want to take the kids on an excursion. Excursion: with using the voucher, we negotiated a price for all of us to go to MonkeyLand. It was about an hour bus ride into the mountains to the attraction and it was soooo much fun for the kids. Monkeys were all over them several times and they had a blast. The guides were super friendly, knowledgeable and ensured everyone got lots of pictures and had a lot of fun. I’d highly recommend this excursion for families. Room: Our room was beautiful. It was an on the top floor of building 12 and had an amazing view of the ocean. All three of our rooms were in this building and were all the same. Very spacious, clean and no issues to speak of. The fridges were stocked well each day with plenty of water, the rooms were cleaned really well, had plenty of hot water in the showers and the bed was huge and comfy. The building was right beside the beach and I thought the view from the walkway towards the beach from our building was the nicest view on the resort. The building was far away from the main lobby and the pools which was really nice and it made it easy to get to the beach early to reserve some beach chairs in a good spot for the kids. The one downfall was that it was far away from the premium side of the resort so we didn’t end up going over that way too often. Food Main Buffet: Lots of different options and all of us ate very well the entire week. The food was always hot and there was plenty of good choices each night and different things every day as well. The donut wall was a big hit with the kids (and me) as well as the ice cream bar. Best buffet I’ve been to down south, hands down. Japanese A la Carte: We had our table at the hibachi grill and our cook was awesome. He was skilled and entertaining and it was probably my favourite meal of the week. The Grill A la carte: I thought this meal was fantastic, too. I had the steak which was super tender and delicious and cooked to perfection for me. They had a good kids menu and brought us a big plate of fries for the kids to enjoy as well. The Olive Tree: I had the steak again here and it wasn’t as good but was still decent. One of my kids had the pork tenderloin and it was delicious! The Pizza Hut: I’ve never liked the pizza down south until this place. It was always open and served a variety of pizzas – always hot and always tasty. Kids Club: We took our kids there 4 days for a couple of hours each time so we could go to the gym and they had a great time. The staff was amazing and loved the children so much and were so great to them. My littlest guy had his birthday on our last day there and they threw him a party, got him a gift and had a cake with his name on it for him. It was so nice of them and the kids loved the leaders there. Also, they had an activity for the kids there each night before the entertainment, too. Most nights was a kids disco where they had dance competitions (my daughter and I won), Just Dance on the big screen and games for the kids to play. One night they had a camp night were they had a bunch of snacks for the kids and watched Frozen 2 on a big screen outside by the pool area. This was awesome as we got to drop them off for another 2 hours that night! Can’t say enough good things about the kids club workers! Entertainment: We went to the Karaoke Night which was so good as there were a few professionals in our midst. The Circus night was filled with talent and was very entertaining and those were the only ones we stayed up for as it was pretty late for the kids. The beach: So amazing. White sand and warm, teal blue water. Our weather was perfect each day (30+) and clear. The sun was hot and the water was very inviting. The kids had a blast swimming. The lounge chairs did go fast so we reserved ours each morning. There were a lot of people trying to sell you things but I never had any issues telling them no. The beach goes on forever and we walked a long ways both directions and saw a lot of other resorts and vendors and bought some things in some of the shops. Pools: There were two premium pools that we spent a good amount of time at and then 2 more pools on the regular side. One of those was the main pool where they had activities each day and we spent a lot of time there, too. Like the beach, the chairs were spoken for early at the pools. They were all very clean and the kids loved swimming in them as well. Staff: I never had any issues during my stay and everyone I dealt with was great. They were all very polite and did their jobs well. The standouts for me were the kids club crew for sure. Overall this is the best place I’ve been to and I would go back without hesitation.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Resort is Awesome - Great Food, best beaches and the rooms were the bomb!

We had a great time and would recommend this resort to anyone who wants to escape the everyday!! The French Restaurant was our groups favorite and we really enjoyed the Beach. Thank you for making our stay very pleasurable.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Rocky beach

Resort was nice. Grounds were neat and creative. Standard rooms were ok. Showers were very small and dark, but always had hot water. Bed was comfortable, pillows were lumpy. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Railing was solid cement so ya couldn't see a thing when sitting on the balcony. Would stay on 2nd floor next time. Food was very good. Staff was friendly. Sand on beach was beautiful, but lots of rocks and seaweed in the water. Made for great snorkeling tho. Lots of beach chairs, stall always fou [... read more]nd one for us. There was smoking EVERYWHERE, we r from Ontario so not used to that. Night time Music was too loud in lobby, couldn't talk. Music on beach and entire resort was good choice. The neighbouring Beach resort called" the Pearl" was so blasting loud, that it echoed over the entire area. Pity the folks that had to sleep next to that noise! Need more bathrooms on the beach.there was only 1 for all the beach. The privileged side had their own, but us underprivileged couldn't use it. It was stinky anyway. Heard that the Privileged upgrade was a bit of a joke. Nice rooms but that's about it. Probly won't go back unless it's a steal of a deal! Lots of other places to go that have a great beach.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort

One of the best resorts I have been to so amazing something to do at each place food was great only complaint was there was a couple rude front staff that were very rude when my friend accidentally left key in room. And your key card would deactivate alot..will be back to this amazing resort

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Fun filled resort

I thought this resort was amazingly beautiful, fun and eventful. It met all are needs. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who likes to be close to the beach. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

Secrets Cap Cana: Beautiful Resort

This place is amazing. The bathrooms were always clean as well as all the areas. The staff were very friendly and always asking what they can do for you. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The food was amazing and lots to chose from. We definitely will be returning.
