Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Great Resort!

An amazing resort that's very welcoming and offering excellent service and dining. Rooms are spacious, well kept and clean. The grounds, which include an ecosystem and fauna, are pleasant to walk through and offer settings for photography. The extensive beach allows for play, relaxation and long walks. The staff is attentive and experienced.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Beautiful Big resort with a Great beach

This a big beautiful resort with lots of various things to do. The beach is beautiful and enough beach chairs and umbrellas to find a good spot. Service is very good, and the food buffets are well prepared and nice and have a good variety of everything. The beach bar is great and I loved the beach waitress services. The beach snack bar has fast food type items that are appealing to kids. There is a concierge in many buildings so they can help anytime with anything. It was not that busy so n [... read more]o lines at buffets and service was amazing in all the restaurants. Drinks are not that great, just the standard type of resort concoctions, a little watery and the wine was pretty bad.The snake bar in the Maya section was the best. The only downside might be the size, and it was not that easy to get carts, there did not seen to be very many carts and you had to wait for the staff to call one to pick you up, almost faster to walk so it did become annoying. You really have to like walking if you want to take advantage of the other activities in the adjoining resorts. We are quite active so it was not a problem, but not sure how other people handle that. It looked like a fantastic place for children with the kids water park and many pools. The front lobby staff were amazing, i have never seen such pleasant service.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Amazing Resort

Despite my husband's injury pre holiday, we still had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was incredible. I especially enjoyed the grounds which featured water ponds with its own little eco system. The resort itself was beautiful and very well maintained. I would love to visit again. The only disappointment was not being reimbursed for a cancelled excursion. I understand that they have 15 days to effect reimbursement.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Lovely resort but a few challenges

We found the resort itself quite lovely. The pools, grounds and rooms were well maintained and we were pleased with them. Our only concerns were 1) the lack of toilet paper in the hotel proper toliets (lobby, areas near the specialty areas, pool area) and overall cleanliness condition. We really didn't like the buffet food offering at all - canned vegetables, mystery dishes (couldn't distinguish between meat and vegetable dishes at times) and sameness of choices daily. If you are looking for a nice hotel at a good price only then this is a good option. Also, we found the buffet serving staff quite abrupt and surly - perhaps a language issue? PS our Sunwing representative Brianne was very efficient and helpful.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Great for R & R....

The grounds are well maintained. The staff are very pleasant and polite. The Beach is small and water was quite ruff. Several days the beach was red flagged, so no swimming other than the pool. While the resort does offer many excursions, it is still a 45 minute drive to Puerto Vallarta, so not a quick taxi ride. The Buffet was good with lots of choices, though it didn;t vary much during our week there. The Japanese restaurant was entertaining. The food at the Steakhouse was excellent, though it lacked ambiance, being in the lunchtime buffet location, at night. We were there for a destination Wedding, which was well done. Overall a pleasant vacation, and great if you just want to sit y the pool, relax with a cocktail(or 10). If you are the adventurous type, I'd recommend staying elsewhere.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing resort

This was our first trip ever and i highly recommend it. The beach was beautiful. The resort is very clean and beautiful. Service was amazing. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly , kind and funny. Entertainment was very good. The pool area is very nice. Lovely plants. A beautiful bridge perfect for taking pictures.

Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Amazing Resort

The hotel is amazing in many ways. 1. It's located in a gated area of Playa del Carmen. 2. The receptions and service staff are friendly and experienced 3. The grounds are very well kept and the eco system is very pleasant. 4. The food was fresh and well prepared. 5. I was very thankful for the special attention of the chefs and assistants in providing selections of gluten & lactose free foods(Medical requirement). 6. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Fun resort

Found the Iberostar Cozumel to be a nice relaxing resort that was smaller in size than the normal places we stay but that worked well for us. The entertainment team was spectacular and had the kids busy most days, the grounds were kept immaculate and clean. We are divers and were located near the dive shop which was a bonus. The beach is very rocky, but you can enter from the pier and snorkel around with the fish. Food was ok, fewer selections than the bigger resorts but all I tired I did en [... read more]joy. We had a few bumps along the way, but the management did an excellent job of dealing with all the issues that came up. Rooms are small and cozy, we never ran out of hot water once and we had 4 people showering one after the other. This resort stands as a solid 7 out of 10 for me.

Hotel Mojito: Very Clean resort

The hotel was nice very clean. the staff were fantastic people, very helpful and kind the food was only OK the a la cart restaurants were very nice the pool was clean and well taken care of there was lots to do

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Best resort in Montego Bay!

Exceptional! in all the aspects. *Special Note 1: Alecia ("breakfast station") was flawless. She is very talented, gracious! She made perfect "sunny side-ups" and she was very supportive of the trainee person. She has a beautiful personality and a warm smile. *Special Note 2 - Kassandra ("bar on the beach") was also very helpful and pleasant, with a beautiful smile. Iberostar Waves Quetzal: Favorite vacation location

We have returned to this resort 5 years in a row. Each year we bring along different family members and everyone has enjoyed their stay immensely! The size of the resort is perfect, the beach is great for walking, the pool is always a place where we spend a lot of time. The rooms, the food are all excellent. The best part of this resort is definitely the staff and managers. They are what makes this resort a place where we will always return. We have met the same staff now each year for the  [... read more]last 5 years and they are such lovely and hard working staff. We cannot say enough about the Chefs in the buffet restaurant as well. Several members of our family have dietary restrictions and the resort provided us with a letter to show the staff whenever we were unsure of ingredients in some of the food. Every evening one of the Chef's would walk us through the buffet indicating what was safe for us to eat. Amazing service! It was my birthday and they even surprised me with a dessert that I was able to eat. I cannot say enough about the Iberostar Resorts. Their customer service is excellent! We will be back next year again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Ensenachos was great!

The hotel was great. Clean, friendly staff, good food. The only complaint was that it is pretty spread out. With a four and two year old, it was a bit challenging. We would have packed a stroller had we known how spread out it was. Also, the Air Canada representative did not show up for our scheduled meet and greet at the beginning.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great place to spend a week in peace

This was a great place to spend some quiet time on the beach. The beach and waters are great, enough chairs on the beach and the pool for everyone. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The buffet is somewhat limited, but there are meat, fish and pasta chefs cooking them before you, with great results.

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Love, love, love it! It was my 3rd visit and I'll go back

I stayed at the Villa Marinera for the 3rd time. At the Marina you have a lounge, pool table, ping pong table, a small pool and the included restaurant. A very short walk there is a shop, a bank, scuba & fishing centre, cigar & liquour store, a Tavern and another small bar. It's about a 15 minute bus ride to the Playa Blanca (8 kms) where you have access to all the amenities as part of your all-inclusive. The cabins at the Villa are rustic, it's kinda like going to the cottage, Cuba style.  [... read more]It's quaint but the bed is comfy and the sheets are clean. However, like camping if the someone in the adjoining cabin snores, you'll hear it (bring ear plugs). We met people from Germany, Austria, France and Belgium... there was even a filming crew there from Finland doing a show on fishing for Discovery (Cayo Largo is known worldwide as one of the best catch & release fishing locations). We enjoyed wonderful discussions over wine. The food at the Playa is more diversified than at the Villa, in all it's sustainable and... I don't have to cook :-) Main thing is, I'm health conscious and don't have to worry about not fitting into my jeans at the end of a stay in Cuba. I've gone to Cuba several times and stayed in other areas, some with a higher star rating, food is basically the same. But the beaches of Cayo Largo cannot be beat in Cuba. We rented a scooter for a few days to get around the island, we even used it to get us to the areas of the beach where there are coral reefs to do snorkeling and swam with thousands of fish. The staff are all friendly, helpful and very patient. TV is kinda spotty at the Villa but I heard it was great at the Playa. Personally, I'm in Cuba, there's beach, snorkeling, sand, sun, rum and food I don't have to cook. I'm there to enjoy being a seenager, the last thing I need is to know how much snow is falling back home or what's going on in politics!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Cuba's Best Resort!!

I have been to Cuba at least 12 times went with a friend to this resort my first and will not be my last!!It was amazing the grounds well groomed very clean everywhere.. The staff were very friendly and all new there jobs to make you feel welcome and your stay perfect we stayed at a 2 bedroom villa in the Grand Village section (adults only) .The Playa Ensenachos beach was stunning white powder sand clear water and you could swim and also snorkel very easy which was amazing I seen a star fish tha [... read more]t was big like a dinner plate...we stayed in bungalow 6202 the room consist of kitchen 2 bedrooms, cathedral living and dining room with large soaker tub with free standing tiled shower very clean...full stocked fridge as well Jacuzzi on our outside deck. We had breakfast at our own restaurant in the Villa section was very good and superb service, lunch there as well and dinner sometimes we ate at the beach grill as well which was all amazing the chefs they no how to cook ...The pool at the grand village section was nice as well. I cannot recommend only one staff member because they were ALL awesome... My only negative comment at this resort is I feel that people that still smoke they should have designated areas for them and better wifi connections... I will be returning here ....also need to say thank you to Kim Hartlen who once again has made our travel arrangements go thru without a hitch we have been dealing with Kim for a long time she is very good at her job... It would be nice if the airport was closer maybe someday..

Grand Memories Cayo Largo: Not the resort for everybody but it was great for us.

We stayed at the sister resort Villa Marinera and took advantage of the Blanca's facilities. Some of the guests at the Villa didn't like it and transferred to the Blanca but we loved it. The one big issue is shuttle service, the bus schedules aren't helpful. We got around that by renting a scooter for a few days. The food at both resorts isn't great and the options at the Blanca were even fewer than on previous visits but you don't go to Cuba for the food. Staff at both resorts were very helpful [... read more] but we did notice more people asking for tips than before. The cabins at the Villa don't have much of any sound insulation so you need to worry about neighbors or when there's entertainment. There's a street disco that could keep you up at night. The beaches of Cayo Largo are spectacular, even though a hurricane stripped away much of the beach by the Blanca that we enjoyed last year. We plan to go back for a fourth visit next year.

Very nice hotel, grounds very clean and well kept, mature trees and lots of greens, food was very good and fresh everyday. Restaurant a la carte are also good, my preference would be Japaness. Pool very big and well kept. Nice beach, long walk on the beach since the beach is so so long and also to note that there was lots of beach chair for the beach area. Staff very friendly and fun... Great service when reparation was needed. The resort was great, the food was great, the staff was great. had a great time. Had some problems with the air conditioner but was fixed in a timely manner. The shows at night where very entertaining

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Our 6th visit to this resort

As usual, we arrived at the resort and were greeted with a welcome fruit punch drink. The check in was quick and our room ready. We arrived in the evening and had supper at the buffet. Our favorite waiter "Yuri" remembered us from last year and we talked as we ate. The arrival and welcome at this resort was great. Then for two weeks we enjoyed the hotel, sun, food and entertainment. This resort really does have the best beach in Cuba! The resort is very clean, the staff are fantastic and the food was good. Thanks to Yolie at the Seafood restaraunt and to Yan at the Gourmet restaraunt. Each time we visit, it feels like we are welcomed by family members! Go to this resort if you want peace and quiet and a fantastic beach. The head life guard / Red Cross person "Chino" will make sure that you are safe in the water and on the beach. We are already planning our return trip in November. Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Beautiful gardens and beach

The layout is lovely. The beach beautiful . The weather amazing and barely any mosquitos. Overall food was ok. Cappuccino great a good sense of community. The excursions were wonderful. Day trip to Havana ...boat trip to see dolphins and a swim at an amazing beach. Great value for your money.
