Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Best resort ever!!!

I have never had a better time in my life at an all inclusive resort! I'm a single girl and went alone. The staff was incredible. Anything I needed they had me covered. The location is perfect. The beach was amazing, clean and long enough to get a good walk in. I would go back to iberostar In a heart beat! I love you guys! I can't wait to return!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: AWAY AWAY AWAY

The "express check in" was horrendous with 1 person issuing the bands for our wrists - approx. 75 - 100 guests; we were first ushered (felt like a cattle call) to one end of the lobby to sit in chairs squished together to receive our package and wrist bands. Then we were told to go to the front desk to check in - a very long line trailed throughout the lobby with only 1 person at the front desk; eventually 2 people were there to check guests in....however, that person began calling names out an [... read more]d issuing the envelopes with key cards in them. A lot of people waiting at the end of the line received their envelopes before people at the front of the line - took about 2 hrs. to check in! Check out was better. Don't count on wake up calls - sometimes they happen, sometimes they don't - no clock in the room so can't set an alarm. One day our room was NOT made up; garbage cans were overflowing with empty water bottles. We asked for extra water bottles in our room twice and no one came with them. On 3 separate occasions room service showed up at our room when we did not order anything. At 1:45AM, we received a call asking if we needed dirty dishes picked up - we never ordered any food via room service. Who calls a room at that time of the night?! We booked an all day tour and were never picked up. It was a waste of a morning to sort that issue out. We showed up for 6:00pm reservations at the various restaurants throughout the property and we'd be kept waiting for up to 25 min. before being seated. Food throughout the resort was amazing; the entertainment at night for the most part was A+; the native show was very repetitive and loud. Michael Jackson impersonator was out of this world. Hospitality is first class, although a sense of disorganization was evident throughout our stay. The activities need to be advertised on the television screens in the rooms. I believe they'd have more participation if this was done. I stayed at the LaRomana Bahia Hotel and it was exceptional - this vacation had too many issues. Staff are genuine and hospitable. Would not go back.

This is not a 5 star resort, more like a 3 star ! Any service connected to the room was terrible ! The room was nice. Getting drinks served by the ocean or pool was very poor. We had to bring our own luggage to and from the room. Upon arrival at the resort, we were told the rooms were not ready, we had to sit in the lobby for an hour, then we were taken to the beach bar ? They said food was there, guess what ,,,, no food ! There was no 24 hour snack bar ! So we went over there to get food. They should know after travelling we would be hungry thirsty and tired ! The restaurants were not 5 star, only 2 did not have buffet style, the Japanese and Don Pablo. Any other resort i have gone to did not have buffet style in speciality restaurants. This represents poor dinning service ! Simple foods that grow on the island were not available on most days, bananas, pineapple were 2 of them. The bar services were extremely slow, many minutes waiting for drinks, seems they were understaffed . We will never go to another Bahia Principe ever again ! Gerrard & Julie

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Fabulous

this resort is first class!!!!!!!! It has everything: close to the airport, great beach, endless and fun activities, lots of friendly and helpful staff and awesome food (not your typical buffet food) I cant think of anything we didn't like

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Wonderful resort

The resort is rated at 4.7 to 5 and that is how we would rate it. The grounds and gardens are a pleasure to look at, everything is exceptionally clean and the staff is most friendly and genuine. The variety of restaurants gives many choices for dining, all superb. We will visit again in 2018. We recommend it highly.

Sandals Inn: Feels like our home away from home!

Sandals Carlyle or Sandals Inn as it seems they are calling it now is a hoe away from home. It is staffed by a talented group of employees who know how to connect with their guests. This was our second visit to the Carlyle and the first time we have ever returned to a resort in our 25 years of traveling. This location is on a public beach and requires shuttling to the other two large resorts, Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean. The Carlyle Review: Staff: Very good to Excellent Rooms: Good to Very good - some do not have balcony's and are quite dated WIFI: Excellent Food: Very good to Excellent Bar: Very Good to Excellent - staff are engaging, beer is red stripe only (which is pretty good) alcohol is premium. The bar is as quiet as the resort which only has 50+ rooms. Internal Staff Provided/hosted Entertainment: Poor to very poor - I don't know what to say, it's really bad, staff are not well versed, competing music from the restaurant and the pool. Just bad! External Entertainment: Good - Show's that were brought to the site to perform, musical mainly very good. Night Life - Quiet - but you can hang out at the big resorts until late in the evening and partake in the loud fun filled environment. There are so many staff to thank but one that really stood out this time around was Dominique at the restaurant went over and above to make us feel very special and appreciated and we hope we made him feel the same way. He is very good at his job and his smile brightens even the sunniest of days. We believe that the Carlyle is the best kept secret in Jamaica and will definitely return one day. We would recommend it to anyone who can rationalize value for the dollar and appreciate it for what it is. A well priced Caribbean get away! Note: the questions below are inappropriate! Hedonism II: Highly Recommend, Very Amazing and eye opening And A+ Staff and Fellow Guests

This resorts up keep is impeccable from grounds keeping to rooms and Staff. The food is amazing and always something to eat 24/7 from fine dined meals to having a pizza at 4 am. The entertainment is A1 in the evening and many day activities as well. The staff works well and beyond to keep everyone happy and comfortable. Met very many amazing people and new friends either donned in attire or without. The ambience is refreshing open and non judgemental of anyone. The rooms are beautiful and super clean . The food was very good finally somewhere that my husband enjoyed eating . There lots to do and night time entertainment was fun. The people are amazing . We even got a bonus that's very rare . A FALLING STAR FELL RIGHT INFRONT OF US ON OUR WAY TO THE BEACH. There was 4 of us that saw it . They say that is VERY LUCKY .

We just spent a week at the Luxury Gran Bahia in Runaway Bay. This is a beautiful resort and we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the sea. We had no problem booking our a la carte restaurants and enjoyed most of them. The Brazilian BBQ and the Tepanyaki were our favourites. The entertainment was good for the most part with the Michael Jackson show being the one to see if you're not into shows every night. The majority of staff were not personable, we never saw our butler after check-in even when we called for service and check-in and check-out is terribly unorganized. Service was lacking unless you were willing to tip extra for each and everything. We were told repeatedly, it's all about the pocket. We always tip our room attendants, the restaurant staff, the mini bar, and the beach bar staff but it never seemed enough. I will say, however that Maureen from the beach was amazing. For anyone thinking about joining the Privilege Club, Google the reviews and then run in the opposite direction. We almost got caught, but took time to run the numbers and realized it's not a deal.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Wonderful family holiday

We had a great week with our two kids (4&6). Perfect weather, amazing beach, pool and Waterpark. We usually like staying in a bit more luxurious feeling resort, but wanted to try out a true family resort. Kids adored the Waterpark, there was almost always lifeguards enforcing rules, which was nice to see, as it would be chaotic without rules. The food was always delicious. Overall a wonderful resort. I would recommend this hotel.

Reception desk when we first arrived was not smooth. They did not have any arm bands and we had to wait. A lot of people were very angry. When we finally got our room it was beautiful. Room service was good. The people the filled the bar fridge was good. Maid service could use a lot of help. No special touches like towel art. It was our 30th anniversary and nothing at all. We heard other people at the pool talking about having rose petals balloons banners we had nothing. Very disappointed. Food  [... read more]was good but a lot of cold food that should be hot. The bar ran out of ice a lot. The sushi beside the pool was amazing. The pools were beautiful the grounds were beautiful beach was very small. They work very hard at keeping the pool clean and the beaches clean.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Terrific resort!

What makes this resort special is the staff. They are helpful, friendly and want to make your stay special. The resort has a lovely bright tropical feeling. The food was great with lots of variety. The view of the pool and the beach from every room is beautiful.

The hotel has only been open for a few months but exceeded all expectations. The lobby, buffet area and common areas were all bright and airy. The rooms were large and bright - especially enjoyed the fact that all rooms had a pool/beach view. Food was good. Staff was exceptional -- friendly, helpful, very concerned about whether guests were having a good time and if there was anything further that could be done to assist. Would absolutely recommend this resort for anyone who enjoys a small  [... read more]hotel with a friendly, open atmosphere. Close to the airport but airplane noise did not bother me - actually enjoyed watching the planes come in each day and arrivals were over by 9 p.m.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Jamaica vacation

Very nice resort, a little too big for me, lots of walking and stairs, don't like the daily fee for room safe. Buffet there is good and a la carte restaurants are very good,beach is good. Overall a good resort to go on vacation, lots to do for a cost, people very friendly.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Spectacular Vacation!

This was an absolutely beautiful resort with incredible service and amazing restaurants. Highly recommend. Staff was very accommodating and wonderful to deal with. The view, the beach and all the amenities were gorgeous.

Sunscape Splash: Beautiful resort!

The hotel was so clean! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and the drinks were tasty. The options were endless in the buffet and the restaurants were amazing.The beaches were perfect. the rooms were clean and bright.

Check in was lengthy even though there was no line and we heard the people in front of us having their reservation lost. After getting to our room we found it to be quite small compared to other resorts we have been too. Food: The food was edible. Nothing good to say. They had 3 "restaurants" that served the same buffet food just glorified it a little. There was 1-2 hour waits for the restaurant as they did not take reservations and upon entering there would be 15 empty tables (we counted).  [... read more] The one 'fancy' restaurant Portofino always had a line-up starting at 5pm when it opened at 6pm. I'm sorry but I will not stand in a line for an hour a day on my vacation. We only went once and got the pager so they could beep us when one of the many open tables was available. When we were seated we were in the adult only area but told them we had to get the kids from daycare as we waited so long for the table. This caused a huge scene as we had to be moved outside where kids were allowed and the staff ended up moving the physical table outside to accommodate and this upset our server as he was not supposed to be working outside. The beach was TINY and very hard to get a lounger although at least getting one was possible most days (not like the pool, but I will get to that). The beach was long but narrow with limited sand, the water was murky and populated with jellyfish. We still spent the better part of each day at the beach because the kids played in the shallows and the sand while we lounged in the sun (mostly what we came for). Pools and waterpark: very good, only open 10-5 though which sucked. 2 waterslides and a castle and pirate ship that the kids loved. Impossible to get a lounger as people would (I imagine) get up at 6am to throw something on it so it wouldn't be taken even though the hotel states there is a half hour rule (if you are not on the lounger for half hour it can be taken). We did not go off property as it was exuberantly expensive to do anything with 2 adults and 2 kids and we were not confident in going alone for safety reasons. The staff were friendly but not service-oriented and very expectant of tips which the welcome package states are included in the resort fee. We tipped a few times but definitely not every time we ate. Overall it was an OK experience: I am not disappointed in my trip, but I would not go there again or recommend it to people. I do not believe it is a 4 star and would say 3 stars is pushing it.

Riu Ocho Rios: Thoroughly Amazing Resort

Well not sure where to begin but my vacation from Feb 18 to 25/17 @ Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton, Riu Ocho Rios was just first class!!!! The beaches we very clean, food excellent,bedrooms alot of space with plenty of place to hang cloths along with many drawers👍👍👍👍👍👍 The maids, waiters etc. etc. were always happy, positive there to help !!!!! We went the group on a 1 day excursion with a tour guide named Javier his Company called KnowJamaica to see various points in J [... read more]amaica and only to say this Tour Compay is rated a 5 STAR plus👍👍👍👍 I would recommend this Resort not a problem👍👍👍👍 we will be back !!!!!!!
