Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: THIRD TRIP TO RESORT

This resort is outstanding! our third year in a row to visit. The place is spotless inside and out. It has four fantastic pools, from ultra quiet to party pool. the shuttle service to the beach and other resorts is spot on little to no wait at all. The food at the buffett is second to none, and we have been to many resorts. The 24 Hr. snack bar is more of a full service Buffett then any snack bar we have ever been to. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Total disapointment!

Very disappointed! We never got the room we paid for and were transferred to a different resort. Check-in time took three hours. When we finally got to our room, it was not ready. With three kids we had only two welcoming gifts. Room service is awful, and you don't get anything unless you pay a tip. Personnel barely speak or understand English. You can't swim in ocean as it has rocks and full of a sea weed. Free Wi-Fi only in lobby, if you want it in your room you have to pay extra. But food [... read more] is great and lots of booze. So, if you're looking to get drunk and stay by the pool all day this is the right place.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Terrible vacation!

Out of a group of eleven (11), eight (8) of us got food poisoning! This spread out over a vacation package of 7 days. Needles to say that 3 days out each meant we didn't get to enjoy ourselves and our company the way we had intended to. Staff was very good in dealing with us and bringing meals and extra water to rooms, however, it doesn't excuse the fact we all got violently ill over the food. First time I've had to write such a review. Very unfortunate!

This resort is a big resort that has got it down perfect ,you wait mFor nothing,food was great, the staff were fanatic, don Paulo section buffet, Roberto and his crew amazing service,smiles,and self satisfaction,just serving you,2nd time for us and already planning next with the kids and spouses.

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Awesome resort

The grounds are impeccable there is always someone cleaning, trimming,fixing and so on. The staff for the most part are professional and very friendly. The food is good and plenty of choices even for the fussy eater.The A La Cartes were excellent with superior attention to detail. The bars had premium drinks that was included in our package. The pool was warm and clean. The room service was top notch. The water pressure was not real good but we were on vacation so instead of a 5 minute shower we [... read more] had a 10 minute shower. Lol The rooms are very comfortable,clean and in good condition. The service in the buffet area was slow to non existent we often left without being asked if we would like water,juice or coffee we only ate there at breakfast. We had lunch at the ocean buffet the service there was much better. The only real drawback was that the water in the ocean was not of Carribean quality. We were in a bay with a river dumping into it which caused silt to be stirred up therefore the water was murky but we still used the ocean daily. Overall this is definitely a 4 star resort and would recommend it to anyone but I would disclose the fact of the clarity of the ocean.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Beautiful View

The Bahia Principe is a beautiful resort situated on top of a cliff overlooking the city of Samana and the Bay of Samana. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are average but provide extra pillows and a blanket. Maid service is okay. we were left on two occasions without wash clothes and towels, the front desk sent the items immediately. The water was warm with a nice sandy bottom. We didn't spend any time at the pool...way too hot for me with no breeze like at the beach. My husband and I had a couples massage...very nice!, and we did the Safari excursion, not bad. Overall, it was a very nice resort and we enjoyed ourselves, however, I contracted Campylobacter while there and I have been home 5 days and still experiencing terrible cramping.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar Blue

This hotel was really a five start resort. It was more than we expected, the grounds were imacculate, the rooms were nice and comfortable. We were one minute from the pool and 3 minutes from the beach which was very cleaned. The beach was very nice and we could walk as far as we wanted. The choice of A la Carte restaurants was excellent and there was so many choices of food to choose from at the buffets also. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Pleasantly surprised!!

Went to this resort because we were meeting others there. Heard the beach wasn’t as nice as Punta Cana so a little concerned. No reason to be! The resort was clean, food was good and service was great. While the beach wasn’t the turquoise waves, it was in a quiet cove where we hung out in the water all day. Being Canadian, we don’t worry too much about the color. It was more like a lake - very peaceful and warm.

The easy access to the beach was great, and it was nice to have opportunities to visit other areas of the Bahia Principe resort. Food was excellent and staff was always friendly. We would definitely return for another relaxing trip!

Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are very spacious and up to date. Food was great especially in the Asian restaurant. There are lots of loungers around the pools and beach. Only problem we found was service. It was very slow in the lobby bar and nonexistent at the pool. If you wanted a drink you had to get it yourself

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort, Great Staff

This was our first time in Dominican Republic and in this resort. At the beginning we were not really sure, but when we arrived we realized that we made the right decision. The place is beautiful, the food was great, the staff were very polite and helpful. very clean and organized. We had a blast with shows, entertainment and karaoke. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful Resort

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are all spacious junior suites with fabulous views. We visited at Christmas 2017 (building 13) and again March 2018 (building 11) with family and friends. Be booked Golden Club with Ocean view rooms. We requested all rooms be together (at least in the same building) and we were all accommodated on the same floor with fantastic views. All reservations were confirmed and the meals at all restaurants including the buffet were fantastic. Italian (stuffed chicken breast was amazing) Japanese teppanyaki grill was great (deep fried ice cream for dessert was perfect) Garden Grill Steakhouse (surf & turf was delicious) and Don Pablo (tenderloin) The buffet has a wide selection and no one will go hungry. We ate there for breakfast but it is also served at the Garden Grill at 8am. Lunch was either at the buffet, pool side bbq (jerk chicken was always great) or at the beach. We had the bbq on the beach one day as well as we were way down around the cove. The pool area is huge, you should be up early to get chairs, they do go fast. I was up at 6am anyways to enjoy the full day, so not an issue (I can sleep in at home). The poolside entertainment was always fun for all ages. Swim-up bar was always a great spot to cool down The beach in front of the resort is shallow and good for wading or quiet relaxing. The wedding gazebo is located here. The best beach is to the left of the resort by the Market/Beach restaurant and kids play area. It is a big U shaped beach, at the peak is a bar and washrooms, a bit further is the nude beach (completely enclosed). The resort is quite large with a lot of walking and stairs. There are elevators but could use more. The Village (Market /Entertainment area) is perfect. Shops open from 10-10, no need to leave the resort to go shopping, everything you would want is there and decently priced. Nightly entertainment starts around 8pm for the younger kids then 9pm for the shows. Afterwards the karaoke bar is open until 1pm, then the Disco all in the same area. There is also nightly bands playing on the Lobby deck starting around 8:30, they are very good and a lot of fun. The Reggae band and piano player in the lobby are also very good. We didn't attend the beach party with bonfire but heard great reviews. The water show in the pool was really good. The water park for the smaller children is amazing. Right on the beach if you want to incorporate both areas. Bar, bathrooms and towel exchange all located there. No late check-outs were allowed as the resort was sold out, so that was a bit awkward for those not leaving the resort until 6pm. There is a room to put your luggage, bring your valuables with you. A Clubhouse is provided to shower before leaving (located in the basement of the Lobby area) however no towels, shampoo, soap were available, the hair dryer didn't work and some of the shower drains were clogged. Apparently the men's side was worse than the ladies. This area could use some improvement. I had my beach towel and soap with me and didn't wash my hair, so I was fine. As a heads-up, book a late check out if available for convenience. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing, fun, clean resort!

The hotel was beautiful-the rooms were so clean-the grounds were absolutely beautiful! The entertainment was so much fun...BEBA was a blast and I so enjoyed her! Our butler Edy was wonderful! The wait staff were all so friendly and so HAPPY! I loved that .The food was so good...even the buffets were more like a la carts. The only complaint would be that they need to get better organized when you arrive. We didn't know where we were going or what to do so that was a bit confusing. Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Amazing Resort

One week of bliss is an understatement. The resort was beautiful, the grounds were kept impeccable by the gardeners. Edy our butler spoiled us rotten. The food was amazing. The staff was tentative and friendly that became extended family by the end of the week. Beba, Cappuccino, Cholate and Julianna were just a few staff memebers that went out of their way to make our stay memorable. I would definitely recommend this resort as a perfect getaway.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Almost Perfection

This resort met and exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the staff was always eager to please. The grounds were beautifully manicured, the private beach was small but always found a sun lounger. The pools were very clean, no bird dropping on any chairs. We enjoyed both buffet restaurants and the a la Carte, especially Don Pablo restaurent. We didn't participate much in the nightlife but nightly shows were available. I would definitely return. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good trip

Beach is beautiful with long walk on both side. Food at the buffet with lots of choice for every one with sea fish and exotic fruit every day. Staffs very helpful and friendly. An employee from the resort will approach you to join their Privilege Club Membership, DO NOT BUY, it will cost you more to travel every year, and you have to pay a big deposit sum of money at the beginning.

Cayo Levantado Resort: We had a great time!

We had a great time at this resort! As we read in many reviews it is not a "party" resort, if you truly want to relax by the beach then this is the place to go. Our room was fantastic and huge. The resort is very clean and well maintained. The food is good and the beach is fantastic. There were shows almost every night out on the patio that were very interesting to watch. Our only complaints were that when we arrived at the mainland resort we had to wait in line to receive resort armbands and th [... read more]en we took a boat to the island to wait in another line to find out our room was not ready and we could not book any dinner reservations until we checked into our room. After 2 hours at the resort our room was finally ready but now all the dinner reservations were booked. We expressed our concerns to our butler and by day 2 he had reservations for us. The other thing that we noticed was that if you do not speak Spanish, not many hotel staff interact with you, on the other hand some tried really hard to interact in English. We stayed away from the public beach as we found the sales people very pushy. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and had a very relaxing week.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great resort

The resort was fantastic. It's not too big, not too small. The waterpark for kids is great. The staff is friendly. The food is good and plentiful. The rooms are nice. Daily and nightly entertainment is great. I recommend this place for sure. The beach is beautiful but there are rocky areas in the water. The pool is not very big and there is no pool bar.
