Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: First time returning to a resort ...so worth it

We visited here 3/4 years ago and it was so good we decided to return to the same resort which is a first for (we usually try a new place every vacation which is 2x a year). Iberostar is def taking their guests whole vacation experience seriously as they have improved the food and night shows. The only improvement left would be pillows and mattresses ;)

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Ok Resort

The area itself is lovely to look at and they have extended the beach depth quite a bit so it is lovely to walk on. We had trouble opening the door to the room. Had to have security bang it open then found out by trial and error the handle had to be turned up to open smoothly. Finally had some warm water after 4 days as it took 10 minutes to get warmer and the pressure was very low. The food was ok. The specialty restaurants served very small potions and the food was slightly better than ok. Tv [... read more] was prettty good . The people are very kind and helpful. The Wifi was very slow and only in the lobby. The wifi cards you had to purchase and there was no instruction o how to use it properly so a number of cards were wasted by not logging out properly. It would have been nice to have a board with all the activities and where there they were located. Bring your own peanut butter and jam as they do t have any. Oh...and they were always running short of beach towels....never got any fir 3 days.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Loved every minute!

This is our second time at the Iberostar Pariso Lindo. We will only stay at an Iberostar. They have amazing service, great selection of food and the rooms and the grounds ammaculate. We have 4 kids (2 teens and 2 younger ones). The teens kept busy at the beach, pool, lazy river, activity and quiet pool. My little ones loved the kids club and I cannot say enough good things about all the staff. The beach was amazing with great waves, and white sand. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Friendly resort

We stayed at the Iberostar Daiquiri resort at the end of January 2017 and found the staff very pleasant. We have visited Cuba several times and I found the selection of food repetitive however, we always managed to find something to eat. The Mexican restaurant was our favorite. The resort is older but clean. For a great beach and a reasonable price, this is a good choice.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Mix between a 3 star and a 4 star...

3 Star .... rooms, food, restaurants 4 Star .... lobby, pools, service, beach, staff Room... safe door was missing, no shower bar to hold the shower head, stained couch. Lobby... lots of seating areas for playing cards and drinking

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Beautiful resort and staff

I spent 7 days here and wish it never ended. Firstly, the service and staff are second to none. The entire resort is beautiful. It's a quiet, relaxing, cosy resort that caters to a mature group of tourists but still accomodates families. The beach is perfect for snorkelling as there are fishes and turtles to look at. Some say the beach is small because of the boardwalk but actually the boardwalk is perfect for those who want to avoid sand after a swim. Sand is still available. The world famous p [... read more]laya pilar beach is only a 15-20 min walk away as well but the resort beach is better for snorkelling. The beach is perfect even after the hurricane last year (no signs of damage whatsoever).

Hotel Mojito: Love this place !!!

Just back to work after an amazing 9 day stay at Iberostar Mojito. the weather was amazing, the staff incredible and the overall trip a grand success. Everyday our room was made up expertly and the attention to detail at meal times and leisure times was outstanding. We got the feeling that the staff at Iberostar Mojito are happy to be at work and must be treated pretty well, and it shows.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Cuban Perfection

First I have to comment on our Agent Kim Hartlen...amazing to say the least. Trip Central is very lucky to have an agent so dedicated to her profession. January 26 - February 2, 2017 via Sunwing. Was my first time flying with Sunwing sine early 2000 and have to say I was impressed. All flights on time and Elite Plus filled the bill. Would have been nice to receive a meal at no charge but the addition of Lynn Crawford's meal a huge plus. Iberostar Ensenachos is my go to place and has been f [... read more]or year. This trip was number 10 and I've already booked for April 2017 we love it that much. I've stayed in all three sections since 2006. Stayed at the Grand Village section and it's the place for us due to the quiet atmosphere we are looking for. The staff are simply amazing and they can't do enough for you. The Villas are huge. The food at the gourmet is amazing and the quaintness of the restaurant is simply amazing. No issues at all with the food. All hot and made to order. You have your very own section of the beach with bar service to your chair. Same for the pool area with the swim up bar. The gardens are beautiful as is the wildlife from birds to Iguanas(only on this cayo) they will actually come to you to be fed fruit. While you are at dinner in the evening a maid comes and removes your wet beach towels and clean dry ones are waiting. Very nice touch. Any issues are dealt with promptly. The other sections are just as great as they have their own personality from family section the adults only...everyone can have what they are looking for. Even the buffet food is great. If anyone is considering booking, you are in for a treat.

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Average resort

The resort is old and needs to be updated. We had trouble with our room - air conditioner did not work properly and I got locked in the bathroom and had to have staff get me out. After each incident we were told that it would be repaired tomorrow. Well, tomorrow never came. After 2 days of complaining, we were moved to a cottage. Much nicer and quieter but ended up having no hot water the last day.The beach was beautiful and it was great to walk in the sand. The staff was fantastic. We enj [... read more]oyed the entertainment in the evening but found that there really wasn't a lot to do at the resort but sit around the pool or the beach. Because the weather wasn't great, we found time long. Definitely would not classify this resort as a 4.5 star resort as advertised. More like a 3.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Lovely Resort

The hotel was within 30 minutes of the airport. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in. The staff were all professional and friendly. The resort is clean and the grounds very well kept, as was our room. There are plenty of food and drink options. I would recommend the Iberostar for couples/families.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: NOT VALUE FOR THE MONEY

For the money that this resorts cost the value is not there specialty restaurants all of them are not worth the effort to get a reservation food just as good as buffet nothing special lack of restaurants opened for lunch buffets do not open till 1 PM

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Fabulous Resort!

Very well kept hotel and grounds, fabulous food but most of all friendly, very accommodating staff. Lots of activities for people of all ages. I highly recommend Iberostar Rose Hall Beach and plan to go back again.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Very nice resort

We stayed in the spa section which was nice and quiet (adult only). The rooms are spacious and very clean with a separate tub and shower. The grounds are well maintained with lots of beautiful flowering plants. The Ensenachos beach is the better of the two beaches, and you can snorkle along the side by the rocks. The food is fairly good, with only one day where the buffet food was not up to par (not sure what happened that day) but there is lots to choose from, including delicious desserts an [... read more]d many types of cheese. We didn't swim in the pools as it was a bit cool and the ocean was much warmer.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Top resort

Vast, superb and well taken care-of grounds (seen some wildlife, too!), low density, clean, very relaxed environment and really attentive service staff. No stampede-feeling to eating areas, beach, pools, etc., you get in most resorts - low density in guest numbers: large grounds, plenty of eating space, a wide beach with good sand. Pools are great: an 80m salt-water pool, a heated 20m sauna pool, a 40m regular pool, etc.. Large room, well appointed, well-stocked bar and snacks (...if you car [... read more]e for it). Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Disappointed

We went into this trip expecting the best. New resort, ”5 star”, close to pilar, great reviews... But it didn't measure up. The best way I can describe it is over hyped. We had issues with the service because they seemed under staffed. The staff in most locations rotated on shifts and they were very hit and miss, we made some great friends but during some shifts it was just better to go to the beach and wait for the other shift to start. Furthermore the entertainment staff was seriously bad. [... read more].. And the shows disappointing. Choreography was off, the show managers didn't choose great themes, and we're selectively friendly with only more attractive female visitors. The beach here, as most have discussed, is more of a dock area imported sand poured behind. There is a small section of white sand beach at the boat launch, and if you swim out a little you'll find a lovely area to bask in or swim around. Playa Pilar is 800m away, you have to walk in the water or across the rocky cliff side, is beautiful there. We took paddle boats out and this was the best way to get to a nice area for swimming, then you could jump out and swim for an hour before returning. Food at this resort was great. They offered a great selection of fresh fish and seafood daily cooked on the grill, along with their signature fresh milk and fruits which were always good. A la carte restaurants served fancied up versions of the good buffet food, and the lobster was the best I've had in Cuba yet. The stand out food for us was the beef ribs, sushi, lobster, and the fresh dairy. Unfortunately my wife and I both got seriously ill. We sustained incomparable stomach pain and we don't know what it was from, our best guess is water/ice... But it could have been food related. They tell you it's OK to use the tap water at this resort for drinking... And I think they make their ice with it. Lastly the accommodations were marvelous! We had a great view of the beach and the blocks are built in such a way that almost every apartment has a nice view.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Definately recommend this resort

The best part about this resort is the hotel location - so private and the beaches are like no other- sand like flour - such many shades of turquoise blue is the ocean- I ran on the beach every morning - so shallow- you could walk forever. All of the staff at the hotel were very accommodating. What is not to like meals prepared for you - the hotel was immaculate, drink, sleep , lie in the sun - repeat . Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Not bad

Hotel was beautiful. Pool was setup very nicely with pool beds which were very comfy. Staff was very pleasant. Always willing to help with anything you needed. Only thing I have to say that disappointed me was the beach. Beautiful lookout on the pier but the pier if the length of the beach. Only one small area of beach to access the water. Definitely disappointing since I'm a beach girl. Everyone was packed in that one access spot on beach n the rest of the long beach was vacant.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Fantastic resort

The hotel was beautiful, the property was well taken care of . The staff was very helpful if needed anything. They had great choices of food ..the waiters were amazing very hospitable. The nightly entertainment had a great variety. Always keeping you entertained. The beach party cookout was a nice surprise. The rooms were kept cleaned and well stocked. We would definately return..also recommend this 5*resort.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Everything was AMAZING!

The Iberostar resort with all its features and services (buildings, swimming pools, Spa, rooms, tennis court, surroundings, food, entertainment and the politeness and correctitude of the personnel (forgot my belongings twice and found them in good standing) are remarkable. The Ensenachos beach and ocean are surreal! Excellent value for money!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Don't believe the write up

Food is same all day every day. Found 3 pieces of glass in my salad. Special meals poor. Both of us got travel trots for a day. Rooms not cleaned well. Asked 3 times for deadbolt to be fixed- never was. Asked for new lightbulb in bathroom- not done. Safe didn't work halfway through week- fixed next day. We were told to leave our valuables in open safe... Beach is nice, 3 pools in same area joined by kiddie pool. Ask to book free catamaran or paddle boats on beach. $20 CUC gets snorkelling on nea [... read more]rby reef equipment included. Lots of activities. Friendly staff. Lots of bug bites. We paid extra for ocean view and were put on first floor looking at a sand pile. They moved us to second floor where we could see the ocean. There is no non-smoking area - continuously breathing in cigar and cigarette fumes. Glad I didn't have children exposed to it. Definitely not 4.5 stars.
