Barcelo Maya Caribe: Barcelo Maya Caribe Beach

Probably the best all-inclusive vacation we've been on. The food was excellent, the resort/rooms were very well maintained. A lot of options for restaurants and pools. The beach had an area that was mostly sandy (hardly compacted) but was a little rocky in some areas to very rocky in others. We spent more time at pools (personal preference) and one of our six preferred the beach with no complaints. (Long drive from cancun airport).

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Fantastic Resort

This is definately one of my favorite resorts. I've travelled to different parts of Mexico on numerous occasions and found the Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda my favorite! The concierge , Sophie, will do everything she can to make your stay comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient and any repair problems in your room are attended to immediately. I shared a suite with my brother and sister in law, which had 2 large bathrooms and was beautifully maintained and cleaned daily. Carlos, our attendant created amazing sculptures made from towels and linens! There are 5 restaurants and 2 different pools to choose from. ( one is a quiet, more private area) There's something for everyone here, and I look forward to returning!

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Great Family Resort

We took our 2yr old and 9m old; there was lots to do for our toddler. The shopping center has an amazing playstructure and you can get ice cream, iced coffee, and crepes all included. It was a great place to go and play. The shows were a little too late for us as we were in bed at 8pm; we did watch 1 show and it was very cool. There was ALWAYS a chair available at the pool and we went at a very busy time. There always seemed like lots of space because there are so many pools. We will definatley be visiting the same resort again when our kids are a bit older to appreciate the amenities available!!

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Heaven on Earth but smokers beware!

We only get away to the sun every two years. When we do we want a smallish resort and a calm beach. We want coffee in our room. Dreams Puerto Aventuras certainly seemed to fulfill all our needs. Dreams Puerto Aventuras gets its highest accolades for its staff, and deservedly so. We wish we had better memories for names, but we will say almost without exception the staff went well out of their way for us and made us feel incredibly welcome. Along with many, many more staff whose names we unfortunately cannot remember: thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. Our room was nice but we had next to no drawers, shelves or hangers on which to put our clothes and ended up with all our suitcases open on the floor. No robes or slippers, no remote for the TV. I’m sure those would have been provided had we asked but we really could have cared less so we didn’t. We’re not fussy eaters. We’re not big on sushi or Mexican, couldn’t be bothered to dress up for Italian, but quite enjoyed the fare at the Oceana and the Seaside Grill. We never came away from the buffet disappointed. The CoCo Café is a really nice touch and was very much appreciated. The rest of this review concerns those of us who still smoke. I know there are fewer and fewer of us every year but we still exist. If you really don’t want smokers at your resorts perhaps this should be stressed on the many, many websites advertising them and singing their praises! We met many other guests who (along with us) were very surprised to have to sign a form at registration agreeing not to smoke on our balconies. Most smokers would like to have a cigarette along with their coffee out on their balcony before heading out for the day. It’s the only reason we look for resorts that have coffee machines in their rooms. On top of that Dreams Puerto Aventuras only has four designated smoking areas. Only one has more than two seats, only one shaded, none protected from the rain. If you’re not the least bit interested in our comfort perhaps you should plainly tell us upfront and let us choose someplace else.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Paradisus is paradise

Very clean hotel! Staff are very friendly and helpful. They try to make your stay pleasurable and enjoyable. Great food and restaurant choices. Lots of loungers poolside and at the beach. We wished for more umbrellas for shade, especially up around the pool. People tend to stake claim on those shade spots early by leaving their towels. Otherwise would highly recommend the resort! 👍🏻👍🏻

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Ocean Coral and Turquesa

I thought the hotel was very up to date, comfortable and friendly. I realize it is not the newest hotel in the area however I thought it would then have more ambiance and I was primarily very happy with my decision. The hotel however should update their beach chairs and their chairs around the swimming pool. I was down at the ocean beach most of the time and the chairs were rather uncomfortable and heavy to move around and low to the ground. Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Beautiful wedding venue

We were a group of 40 or so attending my daughters wedding and it was beautiful!! Excellent resort for children as my grand kids were all there. Rooms, pools, service, and staff were awesome! The biggest problem we encountered at this resort and would cause me to never visit again was the food. Not that the food tasted terrible but was always cold!!! Taste was good but buffet food temperatures were horrible and the al la carted we visited were not quite as bad but if you didn’t eat quickly you [... read more] were eating some of it cold. Grand Riviera Princess: Excellent vacation

The hotel was amazing. Good service, staff very friendly, clean rooms, restrooms clean, beach beautiful, lots of towels always available. Food and drinks excellent, no complaints. The a la cart restaurants offered great food and service. Overall was a great experience. We had 7 travellers aged 10-47 activities for all ages! No one was bored!!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Beautiful Resort

Rooms and grounds were beautiful. Food and restaurants were excellent. Service was great with very friendly staff. I will definitely plan a return visit. The location was wonderful and within walking distance to Fifth Avenue.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Outstanding Resort!

So much to do! We never left the resort and wished we had booked our stay for longer than a week. Staff were kind, happy and very attentive (to be honest, the best service we've had at any resort and we did not book as premium members). We travelled with our 7 year old and he was treated like a prince. The grounds are massive and gorgeously well kept. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. The beach is not forever white sand, however has many entry points and tons of fish, turtles and sting rays to discover. Food and drinks were everywhere and staff were never too far away to refresh our beverages. Pools are massive and incredible! The lazy river was too fun...went on it several times each day! Only complaint is they need a beer trail for the float haha! Only resort we'd consider visiting more than once. Night shows are well done and disco is easy to get to. Sky bar has some talented evening entertainment and the entire resort is brightly lit up. We liked that there were so many options and if there was an evening you wanted to chill, the rooms are private and you don't feel you're in the middle of the party. Monkeys and wildlife are very exciting and loved visiting the dolphins. Was more we could have experienced ...never made it to the spa, didn't have a chance to try the biking or even see the other half of the resort! We have been home for only a few days and are already telling everyone we know that it's the most amazing resort they could choose to go to!

The Sens Riviera: Great Resort

When reading other reviews prior to leaving I was a little nervous. There really is nothing to complain about. The beach was beautiful, the food was good and the wine was even better. The best part of this resort was the staff. They went out of their way to try to accommodate you in any way that they could. If they could do something for you they would. The only complaint I would personally have is that the resort is a little on the small side.

Very nice resort ,the grounds are stunning . The staff are sweet , the rooms are big and very clean . Great entertainment . Will be returning , thx for a great vacation . Amazing room with ocean view...hot tub on balcony...champagne...comfortable bed and everything was brand new , the place was clean top to bottom , and the food and service was absolutely incredible Barcelo set the bar very high in terms of luxury and comfort...I’ Going again next winter

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Amazing resort

This resort was amazing. The beach was a little rocky but we bought some water shoes and they did the trick. You can always just walk 2 minutes to the sister resort and they have a better beach. Food was amazing! Loved all the a la cartes. Was a great bonus that you didn’t have to make a reservation. We also had access to the restaurants at the sister resorts which was nice. Barcelo Maya Riviera: YES!

Our 5th stay at BM - first at Riviera. A large modern facility that exceeded our expectations (considering it only opened approximately 6 weeks ago). A number of previous reviews are either referring to one of the older resorts or outdated i.e. there IS alcohol served before noon and there is free wi-fi including on the beach (but why worry about being on-line as you're supposed to be on VACATION). Rooms are spacious with California King Bed, very comfortable mattress and humongous pillows plu [... read more]s a Jacuzzi tub on the balcony (a little cramped and low power for the jets). Food was FANTASTIC – be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food selection is enormous – great for weight watchers as you can ‘watch’ your weight increase daily. Men remember trousers for dinner (I am a shorts person but nothing wrong with maintaining a high standard). Staff at all the restaurants were fantastic. What was noticeable is a lack of tipping. Come on guests …… a couple of bucks per meal is less than you pay for a coffee! Special mention: Giovanna & Benjamin at LaComedie and Alberto Lopez at Buffet Mirimar. Noticeable was a lack of Top Shelf liquor. Staff throughout the resort were exceptional and my sincere thanks to you all.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: very nice resort!

Grounds, pools and beach were beautiful. Really liked the three pools with kids at one side and "party" pool at the other. Rooms a bit dated but not terrible. Staff were friendly and helpful but getting your room cleaned/restocked could be dicey at times. All in all a great place.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: A Wonderful Family Vacation

The Barceló Riveria Maya Colonel Resort was just beautiful. All the members of our family had wonderful, pool access, rooms. The staff were very attentive and the food provided at all the dining rooms were excellent. There was something for everyone.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort

The hotel although aging is still great , the service is impeccable from start to finish . We had a minor problem twice which was taken care of right away . We are repeat customers so that kind of says it all , the food is great , big variety, the waiter staff are friendly and right there to meet all your needs . Finally the golf course, it is pristine, if your a amateur or professional you’ll appreciate the course and how well it’s kept . See you next year Gerry .

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Best Ever!

The Barcelo Maya Riviera is the best all inclusive resort we have ever stayed at. The rooms, including the bathroom, are spacious and the hot tub on the balcony is spectacular. The ocean view couldn't be any better. The breakfast and lunch buffet selections and quality are second to none ever experienced. The food and selections in the a la carte restaurants were first class (the French and Japanese were our 1st picks; the Italian disappointed however). Most impressive is the staff, no matter the venue, all very friendly and accomodating. The perk of having access to use the other adjacent Barcelo resorts is great, particularly the additional range of other first class restaurants it offers.

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Excellent Resort!

Love the nature surrounding and the beach. All staff are friendly, courteous and excellent in their service. You will never be bored, fantastic day and very entertaining evening activities. Would highly recommend thos resort.
