Sunscape Puerto Plata: 2014 Holiday In The Sun

We had a room near the beach and loved the easy access. Great sand and beach area. Lots of shade available when needed. The pools were great as one worked for the younger crowd and we enjoyed the quieter pool up by the main entrance. Lots of chairs available and pool was great. The food was plentiful and we enjoyed most meals. Weather was great and staff very accomodating. We would recomment this hotel as the price was right and we weren't dissapointed with the trip at all.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: very nice resort

adults only section was very nice room was great, service was very good , casino was fun. the golf was great for my husband and son in law . the weather was sunny every day and will probably return to this resort. feel specia

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Awesome resort!!

We had a great time. This resort had something for everyone. We really liked having the dolphins right there to go see as often as we wanted. The rooms were very clean, the staff fantastic and the food was great. I would certainly go back and recommend it to all!!!

Barcelo Ixtapa: Wonderful hotel

This was one of our favorite holidays. The hotel, the staff and the location were all top notch.we enjoyed the entertainment every night and being able to take a bus into town. We would highly recommend this hotel chain.

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: What's not to like about Barcelo Hotels?

This resort is out of the way, yet a cheap cab ride to the Romantic District.I had a suite with a large terrace overlooking the pool and the ocean. Great guests and staff a like. Lots of poolside activities for all ages .Walk down the beach and have refreshments with the locals.The night time entertainment does run a bit late and the buffet is limited due to small size of the hotel but the views and proximity to the ocean more than make up for it. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: beautiful beach

great service whether you tipped or not, gorgeous beach, entertainment was not the best, food at specialized restaurants was good except for Mexican restaurant which was inedible, every drink you could want including champagne at breakfast buffet and they even had clamato juice for casears

Barcelo Huatulco: Beautiful Resort

The hotel was compact (great for mobility challanged), absolutely beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great, particularily in the speciality restaurants. Area appeared safe, shops in hotel and across the road.

Barcelo Solymar: Very nice resort

Very courteous staff, and over all the resort was kept very clean. We liked that we could use the facilities at Arenas Blancas and often went there for dinner for a change. We really enjoyed the beautiful beach, but found the evening entertainment lacking.

Barcelo Solymar: Barcelo Solymar Resort

Excellent resort, ideally located 5 minutes walk from town, and right on the beautiful beach. The variety and quality of the food was excellent, and the service from most staff was great! The bungalow rooms were much superior to the hotel ones. The only problem was the extremely loud and unclear sound system (making it louder does not help people to hear, it just makes it more unpleasant!)

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Relaxing Holiday

Beautiful grounds, food is delicious, great selection of good eats. Great place to stay for couples looking to enjoy a relaxing vacation but at the same time want to be able to enjoy the fun activities the resort has to offer or could walk 10 minutes (at the most) to take advantage of the activities at the Bavaro Palace.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Enjoyable,friendly, we'll keep resort

We had a room just off the pool area and stage. This was very convinent. The stage shows a little loud if you wanted to go to bed,But they did shut down at 11:00 so tolerable. Grounds we'll keep and attractive. A big beach area and the shade and trees was great! The buffet itself seemed a little crowded but always enough to eat. Staff in buffet and a la carte friendly and helpful, working hard. Overall, would return if the price is right.

Barcelo Solymar: Great BEACH RESORT

The accommodations are adequate & the food is typical of Cuban cuisine but I can always find something to eat. Plus I am not there to gain 5-10 lbs. I liked the resort and would recommend it for the great beach & beautiful swimming waters. Also, the entertainment at night was very good.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Again and again

First but not the last time, clean, well situated and great service. Not our first time in Riviera Maya but this hotel has everything. Really enjoyed our stay. Great snorkling right on the beach, plus close to Tulum and the Mayan piramids, just loved it. As a professional photographer did not have to go far for excelent view and pictorial quality beach suroundings.

Occidental Caribe: Wonderful escape to Barcelo Punta Cana

East trip from the airport, wonderful reception by the staff at registration, fantastic room with a great view, amazing grounds, great food and terrific service and people. Easy to be there - hard to come home. We absolutely loved our stay there.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Something for everyone

A very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Very family friendly though barely aware of the tykes. Great food and exceptionally great staff. We felt very much at home and well taken care of. A definite return destination.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: amazing resort

excellent hotel and surroundings....trip in the jungle and to maya was unforgettable, excellent food. we booked one trip in the jungle AMAZING , we will recommend to anyone young or adult.the beach was the best

Barcelo Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful Resort!!!

The resort was beautiful. The restaurants especially "Don Quiote" Restaurant was 5 star. We never went hungry as there was wonderful food at every corner. I wasnt there long enough to sample everything. The pizza at "Los Arcos" was just like Famosa so good. The family suite was perfect for me and my two teens. The drive to Mismaloya was definately beautiful. Taking the bus to the Malecon was right outside our resort and was under a dollar for two to ride the bus. The people of Mexico are the fri [... read more]endliest. The only con was I didnt get my resort credits (only because I had to ask) and didnt have a chance to upgrade. I was only there for 4 nights. The spa was fantastic. I would definately go back.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Beautiful resort!

My husband and I stayed at Barcelo Costa Cancun for 6 nights in June and we were overall very happy with their services. The room was very nice, but since it did not have a balcony, it was difficult to dry our bathing suits after each dip in the sea. You can, of course, upgrade to a room with a balcony (big, fancy one, with hammocks), but all we wanted was a place to dry wet clothes. The hotel pool and the beach were also very nice, as were the amenities, such as towels and lounge chairs. The se [... read more]a water could have been cleaner of algae, but overall, it was perfectly nice. Since we booked all inclusive, we got to try a couple of the restaurants at the hotel. We loved Claraboya and Mexico Lindo, where the food was truly delicious, but were not really crazy about the Albatros. This last one is the only one that does not require reservations and appeared to be extremely popular with the other guests, but we found the food really bland and tasteless. When we asked why there are no bold flavours that one normally associates with the Mexican cuisine, our server replied that it was because most tourists shy away from spicy food, so the hotel food is made with such concerns in mind. I guess that explains it, so if you are not afraid of spice, you better avoid Albatros altogether. Speaking of restaurants, the reservation system seemed a little useless and unnecessary. In order to eat at one of the three restaurants at Barcelo Costa Cancun that require reservations, you had to make those reservations in the morning of the day in question. You missed that for whatever reason (in our case, we were always in a rush to leave on very early trips), you were left with the Albatros, even though the other restaurants were by no means full. In fact, they had only a few tables reserved. Finally, we were deeply impressed by the personnel working at Barcelo. From the very nice ladies at the reception, to the bartenders, the ladies cleaning our room, the porters and the waiters, each and every member of the staff has been incredibly attentive, personable and helpful towards us. These people are the ones that actually make Barcelo Costa Cancun function smoothly every day and that make people like us feel welcomed and taken care of. I hope that their employers appreciate their hard work as much as we did.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful Resort

The resort was beautiful, accomodations very nice and the food was delicious! However if I had known this location had a dolphin show I would not have gone here. Dolphins don't deserve to swim in a concrete tank! Watch The Cove on UTube, for more information on what your are paying for! Otherwise a beautiful place and resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: I have been there 5 years in a ROW-fabulous

This place is fantastic they look after you, respond to your requests, its safe and beautiful - you will absolutely love it that's why me and my girlfriend have been 5 years in a row!!! Not much else to say just go you will have the time of your life.
