Melia Costa Rey: Best Resort in Cuba
First what a amazing view from the lobby. The food was out standing the buffet always good. The omelet guys were always trying to steal you away the others stations. It was so funny to watch them waving you over to their station. The la cartes were very good. Thd General Manager Jean Lu Grossin always around speaking to people. He really cares that the resort is providing a good service. The entertainment crew were great. We spent alot of time at the pool. But the beach was very nice. [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Very good resort
I am happy we choosed this resort. Came back a day ago, stayed there for 7 days. I loved the lobby area, lots of cozy places to enjoy the drinks from the bar. Clean room, thanks to Isabella! Great beach, a bit windy, lots of kite surfing there. The food was ok, we could always have tge steak, fries and some vegetables. Pancakes and omlette in the mornjng were good. Very good coffee. Friendly staff. If you want to tip, do it in pesos, the canadian coins are not accepted at the bank, they have not [... read more]
Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great small hotel amazing beach
The advantage of this hotel is that it is smaller, which allows for more personal, friendly, timely service. The rooms are spotless and mold free, the main dining buffet is good, fresh, and no wait times to all food stations. The pool is small but lively, the entertainment is basic but showcases Cuba, boutiques and crafts were nice. The beach is spectacular and can be walked on for miles; the beach pier and beach club are nice features; somewhat windy in the afternoon and good for windsurfing. [... read more]
Melia Costa Rey: Large Resort
I love Cuba and the people who work there. Always greeting and smiling as we walk by. A lot of chairs by the pool and beach. Beautiful walk along the beach and not far from the hotel. The rooms are neat and clean and the service everywhere was great. I recommend it.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Could b better
This resort could b so much more than what it is. Minimal food selection and access to bottled water was difficult. Staff were ok. Check in was a nightmare. Grounds were littered with cigarette buts and bits of garbage. Poor selection of pop to mix drinks and we had a power outage on our final night. The pool was great there were lots of pool areas for our kids to play. The beach was beautiful but bathrooms were minimal and far away along with the bar and food. There were literally 2 bathrooms s [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: An honest review for the interested traveller
Review of Melia Jardines del Rey My wife and I went to this resort April 1-8 2018, booking a package with Air Transat through Tripcentral First the good....the beach is absolutely beautiful, very large with many shade palapas, and shallow water with soft sand. You can walk for miles in and out of the ocean. The resort staff are very friendly and courteous, generally what you find in most resorts in Cuba. Now the bad.....The room, which was an upgrade from Air Transat, was not so good.Toilet d [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Absolutely Beautiful beach, and staff at this resort
Very clean rooms with awesome views. Staff can not do enough for you. Great people. Grounds are very clean. Food is OK Always found something to eat. Great entertainment team, always doing something all day long Great value for your money
Melia Jardines del Rey: Very Disappointed
Hotel staff including maids, Gardners, bartenders were very friendly and provided good service. Very disappointed in the hotel beds, linens, lack of stock in room ie toilet paper, limits on water provisions was unacceptable. Faulty door lock and safe. Long waits in most restaurants who were always out of basic staples ie bread. Excursions terrible-over booked, poor quality (injury sustained during dolphin excursion with no refund). Poor Customer service with Air Transat reps responding to our co [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Beautiful resort!
Love this resort so much. It was our first time in cuba and it won't be our last. The staff are wonderful people. Very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean everyday. The food was not the best but I never went hungry. Memories had the most beautiful beach and the pool always had lots of activities going on. Can't wait to go back.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Huge disappointment
We (19 of us) chose this resort as the reviews were good and we knew of a family who travelled here last year. We had travelled to Cuba 2 years ago and loved it. It seemed as soon as we arrived we had challenges. No hot water in one building for over 24 hours, none of us ever got clean bath towels (despite asking) and getting a clean beach towel was almost impossible. We were only allowed 1 bottle of water per room per day despite the need for more (and advised not to drink from the tap) we had [... read more]
Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Best Resort -Love This Place
We’ve been to Cuba 13 times now, in several different areas, and have discovered this resort a couple of years ago. This was our third trip there and it continues to amaze us. The layout of the resort is perfect...you’re close to almost everything. The beach is the nicest we’ve ever seen, the food is very good and, more importantly, the staff is totally amazing!! We will definitely be back here again
Hotel Camino del Mar: Best year
From booking, our travel and throughout our vacation this 8th visit to Cayo Guillermo was the best..Having familiar friendly, helpful staff and supportive new management was especially noticeable. Everyone was pulling together to make everyone's visit a wonderful experience. The food has always been and continues to be delicious and varied. Attention to the repairs and renovations were amazing. We do hope the owners and backers support the management in their continued efforts to refurbish this [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: One very big negative!
The beach here is amazing; the water colour is aquamarine, but transparent on the shallow sandbar just off the shore. The long sandbar was popular with Frisbee players and guests who just wanted to walk in shallow water. I participated in the aquafit and stretching classes in the Animation Zone. The instructors are all grads of Sport University so they know their stuff; I was pleasantly surprised at how professional the classes were. Now for the bad stuff - the buffet restaurant is a dis [... read more]

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A Top Pick!!
We traveled with a group of friends to Memories Flamenco the last week of March. This was my 8th trip to Cuba and 2nd time to Cayo Coco. Memories Flamenco rates as one of the top resorts we have stayed at in Cuba for the following reasons: 1. Short transfer time to and from airport (15 to 20 minutes) 2. Clean rooms 3. Excellent and tasty food at venues 4. Waiter service at both beach and pool (with our without tipping) 5. Friendly and accommodating staff 7. Variety of entertainment I [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Repeat guest
Once again we returned to Tryp. We were there for 2 weeks in Jan. and returned with family March 31-Apr 7. In Jan the weather was not good many days of rain. In April we had excellent weather...sun every day --no rain! As usual the workers are very friendly.
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great resort for families
Considering this place just opened, we were very impressed with overall experience . Rooms were great , beach amazing. Indian and Italian ( recommend to only order pizza - best item !) very good . Pina coladas in main lobby the best . Mixed drinks a bit limited but we managed with mojitos and other options that were available . They need to work on adding more spice ( even pepper flakes as an option at pasta and stir fry bars ) but buffets were sometimes a hit or miss . Kids entertainment good . [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Amazing Staff and Snorkelling!
The staff were amazing, the food was fine we were always able to find something to eat just wish the pineapple had been ripe at least one day while we were there. The rooms were good, and I loved the fact it was quite at night, many families and kids playing on the beach, which was always fun to watch. The snorkelling at the coral reef was amazing, just 1 mile sail from our beach for 20 CUC for and hr. I did find the beach had a lot of coral and shells on it which meant you had to watch where yo [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: LOVE this resort !!!
Had another fabulous time @ TRYP Was originally put in Block #9 Hotel staff thought that the handicapped shower would be nice but definitely not needed by us. Was extremely happy that the hotel staff helped us to re-locate to Block @7 as we do find it easier for us with the wheelchair and me with having a bathroom closer to the pool.....Can hardly wait to come back next year !!! You guys are the BEST
Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Good Hotel
Nice rooms, clean grounds, very nice pools, amazing beach, only Bémol: A la Carte Restaurants. Not too well sized, Food is not what should be in a kind of restaurant. Better choices and quality at the Buffet.
