Riu Republica: Would l go back ?

The resort is ok to be honest. I guess my biggest complaint is the music at the pool. I love to party and have fun, but when the speaker YES One speaker is being blasted to the point of distortion and you can't hear what your conversations are with friends. This is no FUN also the entertainment group need to learn how to speak into a microphone. The shows at night also need to be better very boring. Having the same band every night on stage before the show starts gets old fast. THEY need to implement the pool rules, eating in the pool, smoking and flicking the ashes in the pool, spilling drinks, vomiting in the pool, ALL VERY POORLY MANAGED ☹️ The pool workers especially ( Rafael) great pool guy, the bar guys are money hungry if you don't spot the 5 Or 10 bucks they will serve you last very rude when you stand they and they ignore you so beware. WOULD I GO BACK PROBABLY NOT. I have been to other Rui chains far better certainly NOT a 5 Star Resort.

Riu Reggae: Lovely resort

This is a lovely new resort. The staff is very friendly and they work very hard to keep everything clean and make you feel welcome. The evening shows are very good. This is a small resort so everything is very accessible. Take a cab ride with crackers from the cab station and enjoy a wonderful tour of Montego Bay. Only recommendation is that front desk staff take a tour of their own facilities to familiarize themselves with the location of rooms so as to give accurate information to guests.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Lots of Fun

Beautiful place, everything was kept very clean and the entertainment was very enjoyable. The food was very good and I was always able to find something different to eat. The room had a bit of a musty smell to it but the beds were very comfortable and the room was clean, had a beautiful view and the fridge was kept full.

Riu Vallarta: Great resort!

The resort was very good. It is exceptionally clean, the staff are amazing and very friendly! The pools are a very short walk from the beach. There was good variety in the dining room and the restaurants offered a nice sit down dining experience. The entertainment was good. The two excursions we booked were a lot of fun! My only complaint would be the beds are very hard and the pillows too soft.

Riu Flamingos: This resort is a winner

This resort is absolutely immaculate. The grounds and common areas are excellently clean and very well maintained. The food was terrific. My family have travelled to many resorts and this rates as one of the best hotels. This hotel was booked solid and there were no long lines waiting for anything. There was always chairs available at the beach and at the pool anytime so you did not have to get up early to get a good spot. There is lots of shade for those people who do not like the full sun. The [... read more] only drawback for us was the beach, it was on a slope and made getting into the water a little difficult, the sand was a little coarse as well. All in all a great vacation in a great hotel .

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Awesome Times

When we arrived at the Riu Bachata check in went smoothly ,they only give u 1 room key 2 would be great. The room was clean and comfortable with daily housekeeping .The food was good a large Buffet at scheduled times then another buffet for in between hours for I between hours .The A la Cart is crazy busy the line ups are long .The beach is beautiful with lots of shade could use a few more beach chairs there .The pool is a busy place during the day but,the grounds are Beautiful and we'll tak [... read more]en care of and the Bar service and entertainment are great I would definately recommend this place to others .

Riu Reggae: Sparkling Clean

We really enjoyed our time at the Reggae. The grounds, rooms and restaurants were sparkling clean. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good. Our only recommendation would be to have a nice chair in the bedroom for reading instead of the table and 2 chairs that were there. Also a place to hang towels in the bathroom after a shower.

Riu Santa Fe: Riu Santa Fe

We just came back from Riu Santa Fe. here is straight forward what I think and you can count on it. Service excellent everywhere in the Hotel. From the front desk, pool, bars, restaurant, cleaning staff, this feature sets them apart from many hotels. Food is good not the greatest, could use some more spices, appears to be finding a neutral taste so appeals to everybody. I was delighted to find this. Entertainment. Good but could be better if they use proper sound equipment. The entertainment area is very large and the speakers are not powerful enough to bring clean sound, and because of it , it takes away from the good showmanship and entertainment performances. Riu really you can afford a much better sound system. I am completely sure, the artists will be so happy and so will the people enjoying their performances. A negative for some may be that people do get loud at night and through the night, so be prepared to be woken up and not be able to sleep fully because of the loud shouting having fun at night. I fixed this by ordering more pillows and simply covered by ears at night. The Hotel may be find useful to purchase noise strips that are place on the frame of the doors and keep away the outside noise. I used this for my basement at home where I blast my surround sound cinema hideaway, and no one upstairs can hear anything. What is best is that the strip is pretty cheap but does great work. This would be a good thing for Riu to do to take care of this problem. All in All, we had a great time at this Hotel and we would definitively go back again. Other than these minors constructive criticisms, I highly recommend this Hotel.

Riu Republica: Fantastic Resort

This is an adult resort. I went there with my friend. We had a blast. The resort was very clean. The employees were extremely friendly and quick. The rooms were always stocked and cleaned. The wine could have been better but that's ok. You're still able to purchase and charge to your room. I would highly recommend the resort to anyone and would most likely return. 10 out of 10

Riu Flamingos: Fabulous experience

Thank you for a wonderful holiday. We found the facility excellent. The service was always great, people were happy and even singing! The grounds were immaculate. The room was also well cared for.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: What a beautiful resort

Another great vacation. We have been coming to the Riu for years and have never been disappointed. This time with a group of six, one couple being newbee’s to the Caribbean. They loved this experience and could not get over the wonderful way the Riu staff treated them. The Ocean was choppy that week but there was a lot of fun action at the pool put on by the Animation Team, and a lot of chat to people from all over the world at the pool bar. Riu Emerald Bay: AMAZING STAFF

The most exciting part of The Emerald Riu was its staff! From check in to exit everyone included was amazing and more than accomadating! Checkin took two minutes ! Needs were met in a flash ! Call the front desk( low on soap , plumbing issue ) someone was there in minutes ! Grounds were spotless / rooms always spotless / towel service easy! Food was average / nothing spectacular ! But wait staff friendly and again always willing to help! Although there were 3 restaurants they were all th [... read more]e same and buffet style ! As far as The Mexican Restaurant it was the saddest!Nothing about it was Mexican / the guacamole was watery / crackers were dried out! Truly I came for the warm weather ( which happened the second week of vacation/ but as a bonus I was spoiled by a wonderful staff instead! Mucho Gracias Fernando!

Riu Cancun: Very good Resort

The resort is right on an excellent beach. The sand is white and clean. The staff is very friendly. We were always greeted with a smile. The pools are clean. Souvenir shopping is right across the street. Only draw back is low water pressure and constantly changing temperature in the shower. It would change from cold to scalding hot.

Riu Merengue: Really and Truly the worst resort

I am so disappointed and while I cannot say much due to a lawsuit in progress I would encourage you to never stay here . From the cockroaches all over the dining room to the lack of fresh water to the excessive amount of bugs in the pool and the spiders in the room. RUI does not take pride in their property nor their management. I will see to it and make it a personal goal to ensure no one I know ever sees this resort. Riu Merengue: Really lacking

This hotel was run down and needed a facelift immediately. The staff couldn't care less about their job or the people around them. They just chatted with each other. No one to take luggage to room. No air conditioning. No warm or hot water. We switched rooms from one side of the resort to the other side and had to carry our own bags. The bars were not open. Overall just lacking in customer service. Then there was the rats running around outside the restaurants and the cockroaches in our [... read more] room. I would not recommend this location at all.

Riu Montego Bay: Excellent resort

As usual Riu Resorts are the best. Food excellent well done, good variety, lots of choices. Rooms are big, very clean and well supplied with everything. Grounds are beautiful and well care for, pools are very clean. Staff very friendly and ready to help in all excellent Customer Services

Riu Playa Blanca: Nice resort

Nice hotel, solid 4 stars, only about 7 minutes away from the airport. Check in was very fast and well organized. The resort is clean. Staff are constantly polishing floors, painting, etc., but the swimming pools were dirty, overcrowded and too far from the washrooms. The drinks were good and the staff was great. The food selection was OK and no line ups. There are no reservations at the specialty restaurants. Stayed February 2017.

Riu Negril: Awesome resort and staff

This property was awesome from the check in , meals , cleanliness , pools ,drinks and best of all was the smiling friendly staff !! The food selection and quality was terrific . The bartenders were never behind as they were very efficient . The grounds keepers worked diligently to keep the walkways and beach immaculate . Each and every staff member were a pleasure to do business with !!

Riu Palace Antillas: A Great Resort. Don't believe the detractors.

Although it is a little aged, (used to be a Westin Hotel), it is clean and well maintained. The rooms are of good size but be sure to get one on the left side (facing the ocean), or you will be looking out on the Riu Palace Aruba and down on the top of a building. The food was very good, the beach beautiful. A little too loud at the pool (music wise). The staff are friendly and very accommodating. Anything that need repair is done so promptly. The Island is easy to get around. I highly suggest a [... read more] Jeep rental but not through the rentals posted in the lobby. Ask one of the bell hops at the entrance and they will hook you up with local rentals which are $ 135.00/USD instead of $175.00/USD. The jeeps are not brand new, but the good thing is that you won't have to worry about dents and scratches. Be forewarned, the East side of the Island is not lit at night, so go there first or you run the risk of getting lost in the dark on your way back. Also, there are very few street signs out the East Coast but the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Good thing is,if you get lost, the locals are very helpful and most everyone, if not everyone, speaks English.Shopping ranges from very reasonable to outrageous. It all depends what you want to spend. I highly recommend a trip to Aruba if you have never been. Many visitors return year after year. It is more pricey that other Caribbean destinations, but it is well worth they money. "One Happy Island" is not a hoax. Tripcentral, specifically Wendy Harrington, were very helpful and professional. I would book with her again in a heartbeat.

Riu Reggae: Small Convenient Extremely Clean Resort:)

We stayed at this resort for 2 weeks - Jan. 23 - Feb.6, 2017. We have been travelling to all inclusive resorts for the past 17 years. This resort is extremely close to the airport. First stop on the way in and last stop on the way out which we loved. We did not have to travel for 2 hours on a bus to get to our destination. I'd rather be on the beach than on a bus. Being a small resort everything was very convenient. The food was delicious and lots of variety. Lots to drink and bartenders always ready to serve not waiting for a tip even though one was provided frequently:) They work hard long hours. There was a busy entertainment side of the beach and a more quiet side but both were in close proximity. Our room was 2129 overlooking the "garden" but actually a mangrove. To me, this was the perfect room as we did have somewhat of an ocean view and no noise from what I consider a very noisy resort because of the small layout. The staff were MORE than wanting to help with anything anytime. My biggest disappointment were the a la carte restaurants???? Where were they??? Only one really the others were buffet service. May as well go to the full-service buffet. Extremely disappointed as I hate buffet service for dinner. I look forward to enjoying a slow quiet relaxing dining experience. You well definitely not find this here. The restaurants are EXTREMELY LOUD and only one has full a la carte service and that restaurant is very noisy as well. The resort is very safe and no hassle from vendors or Jamaicans wanting to sell their goods. This is definitely not a 5 star resort. No top shelf liquors, no beach service, no room service, truly only one a la carte restaurant. I would say this resort is over priced for what we thought is a 5 star all adult resort.
