Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Gran Bahia Principe Jamaica 2017

Very immaculate place, the grounds, pool area, beach all met our expectation. Food was great and always something good to find. Lots of on ground or off site activities.No shortage of Rum or bar area to find, plenty of seating on the beach or pool side. Scuba should be an adventure for anyone at this site, great dive site

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Mixed Feelings

This resort has beautiful grounds, nice layout and nice rooms. The beach was disappointing and there is no escaping the constant noise, even in the room, it echoes through. For the most part, awesome staff. A little disappointed overall based on experienced with other Bahia properties.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Iberostar Grand Rose Hall

First and foremost this hotel has the most INCREDIBLE employees. From the cleaning staff, to the chefs, to the landscapers, to the housekeepers., butlers.Everyone is happy, friendly and Sooo service oriented. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The hallways on the hotel room floors are in dire need of freshening up. The carpeting is torn,and has waves, the walls need painting and brightening up. The trip from the airport to this resort is short and easy. We were greeted at check in with warmth and very welcoming. We were even upgraded to an ocean view room by Barington who works at the front desk.We requested a quiet room prior to our arriving and they put us near the pool and the thump thump of the music. They felt bad ,so they moved us up to the 3rd floor with an ocean view. The only real complaint was the lack of umbrellas and covered space on the beach. In order to get a covered lounge chair on the beach, you need to be there at 7 AM. You must sit on your beach chair until at least 7.30 AM to claim it. Unfortunately, we did this one morning, went to breakfast, only to come back 1 hour later, our personal belongings( books) were removed and someone took our beach chairs. The staff said " we weren't there " so they took our stuff off and someone took our chairs. We then had a 1 hour run around to find our books. The beach towel hut person told us security had our things, and security said "they never get involved and the beach hut person had our stuff. Indeed, that's where it was. The solution to this problem would be to have 1) the butlers reserve chairs wherever their clients wanted to sit. This is done at some other resorts or2) Have more covered umbrellas on the beach. There are 2 covered areas on the beach and all chairs are taken. In between them is an uncovered section of about 40 chairs and only 3 chairs were taken. I don't think that makes sense. The butlers were amazing. They didn't annoy us nor did they ignore us. O'neill,Carson and Duran really work hard. They were always professional and wanted to help wherever they could. Our cleaning ladies were Soo special ( Cardella daytime and the evening lady, Kardesha?) Friendly, hard working and eager to please. The wait staff in all the restaurants were great, always smiling and worked hard to please. In conclusion, this vacation was relaxing and enjoyable. I think I would rate it a 4 star instead of a 5 star because of the poor quality of food and the renovations that are so desperately needed.

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Too Tired

The resort we stayed at (FUN HOLIDAY BEACH RESORT) was too run down and our expectations were not met!! We were travelling with a group of 20 people and when we arrived at the resort we found out that 17 of them were relocated to another resort!! The frustrating part about it is we don't know why it happened, no explanation was given at all!! My boyfriend and I usually travel 4 star but the group we were traveling with did not have the means to do so we compromised and boy did we pay the price.  [... read more]The beach was beautiful and the seven mile beach you can not beat.......but the is the only positive thing that I can say about this resort!!

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: The Royalton White Sands Beach Resort was awesome.

We had a room on the 7th floor, which had a great view of the mountains, and a nice view of the beach. The room was spotless, the bed was perfect. The grounds were beautiful, and again spotless. The beach was small, but the water was great. We found all the Restaurants to be very clean, good food, good service, All in all, we where very happy that we stayed for 2 weeks.

Couples Sans Souci: Couples Sans Souci - best place ever!

This was our 4th trip to this amazing hotel, and once again, it didn't disappoint us! We've tried the other Couples hotels and this is definitely our favourite. It's a little quieter than the others (which suits us) with a number of Brits and Americans and a few from other countries, our room has always been lovely (they've just been refurbished too), the weather was great, the beach lovely and no vendors to bother you. The staff are always friendly and the service is great. We love it and will go back just as often as we're able.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Awesome resort!

Loved the resort, staff was super fun and friendly, food was amazing, only problem was making a la carte reservations we were told when we arrived on Thursday we had to wait till Saturday to make them then we were first in line Saturday and told they were full we should have made them online. Standing at the desk doing this we talked to several other people with the same issues. Besides that it was a great vacation.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great place for families.

Comfortable resort with beautiful beaches and plentiful food and drinks. Very satisfactory vacation and lots of happy beach time. The a la carte restaurants were an enjoyable change from the buffet, especially the Japanese one where they put on quite a show and allow you to get to meet some of your fellow vacationers as well.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Fabulous Vacation - First Time at Sandals

My husband and I travelled to Ochi Beach Sandals resort for a fabulous vacation. You do have to take the hop to get from the hillside to the beach but it runs every 5 minutes and is only a 2 minute ride. The beach is not long but they do have multiple sections of beach front with floating docks. The pools are everywhere and always lots of activities happening.

Royalton Blue Waters: Fantastic resort!

The Royalton Blue Water resort exeded my expectations. We are a family of four including a 13 and 11 year old. The rooms were large and perfectly laid out. The grounds were well maintained and most importantly the staff was incredible. Hospitable, warm and lovely. I would definitely recommend this resort!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great value getaway

Beaches and pool can't be beat. Although you have to get up pretty early to get a decent spot. Buffet was fine although the dining area was always loud. The a la carte restaurants were great. Service was fine and the rooms were nice. Its probably better suited for families. Tons of kids and not a lot to do at night. If you want something more exciting it might not be the place for you. But if you just want a beautiful beach and an all inclusive resort, this is really good value for your dollar.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Jewel Runaway Bay!

The hotel was ok, when we checked in they were going to put us in a room with 2 double beds when we asked for a king and 2 singles. We ended upgrading to a bigger room with butler service for $920.00 US dollars. If I would have seen the room before I paid I would never have done it as it was not a upgrade really, dated room with nothing special and the butler service was useless! Lunches at the grill were awesome and so was the pizza! Dinners were good especially at the Japanese restaurant! All in all a pretty good holiday except for paying the $920 US to upgrade which was a bit of a scam and left a bitter taste for me.

Riu Reggae: 4 1/2 star hotel with beautiful beach

Stayed at Riu Reggae Jan.31-Feb.7. We've stayed at more than 10 all-inclusives in Jamaica, Mayan Riviera, Punta Cana, Bahamas. We always book 5 star rated resorts. The hotel is one of the smallest ones we've stayed at so everything was within minutes of your room which was really convenient. The resort is brand new and everything is super clean. Both infinity pools are right on the sand so your pool area is not separated from the beach/ocean. The Entertainment staff at the pool are funny, friendly, and do everything to make your vac, enjoyable. The beach is beautiful; the water was turquoise and warm but it was very cloudy so you couldn't snorkel. Food is great (had lobster 3 times) but the seating in the restaurants is awful; the tables are so close to each other your almost touching elbows with people on either side of you (no privacy) Didn't like having no reservations for dinner; had to line up at 6:00 for 6:30 dinner.There are only 3 a-la-carte restaurants because Bamboo (chinese food) is buffet. Rooms are very basic and small with no toiletries, no room service and no bathtub/jacuzzi; no idea how Reggae got a 5 star rating.Housekeeping was great; room was immaculate. Each bar was upscale with drink menus; bartenders all pleasant and happy to make you any martini or specialty cocktail. No cafe but cappuccino and lattes were avail at any bar or the main buffet. We stayed at Luxury Grand Bahia Principe Runaway Bay Jamaica last year and it was a true 5 star and we preferred it over Reggae. Great loc only 5 minutes from the airport. Shows at night were good. We had a great vacation and would return if the price was right. Book a courtyard room over a garden room. Weather everyday was sunny and in the high 80's.

Mangos Boutique Beach Resort: “small but inviting resort”

Reviewed yesterday NEW ok so we too were a bit skeptical on the reviews but decided to go anyway.the resort is small but thats what i like the buildings were all made from canadian wood as if were a cabin in northern ontario.the room was big,beds were comfortable and room was clean the water was always hot sometimes pressure was not full but no problem. we started off the week with brand new bath towels and face clothes but by the end of the week we only got towels that were very thin and scr [... read more]atchy so we used our beach towels[new] np.the food was great the ale cartes were fantastic had pig roast one night and fresh barracuda another awesome fish.didnt make the other one .snack bar you had to wait awhile as they only had one person cooking for 15 to 20 people ordering not too big of a deal just had a few more drinks.buffet was limited but again np. the drinks were strong. rooms were restocked everyday.they had bugs there and mosquitos but we were in block 10 upper ocean view and only had 3 bites all week.in towards the other blocks mosquitos were bad.the beach could of been nicer there were only a couple spots to swim without hitting rocks or seaweed to the left of pier was the better part.the pool was clean and waterslide work good. there was limited entertainment but was alright .im older now so never made it past 11 anyway,lol.you could walk both ways down the beach an hour to 2 each way with no problems at all. the grounds were beautiful.the staff were all great.there is always wind it seems but it kept as cooler then being too hot by the pool. its was a very relaxing vacation and thats what i wanted.if you want big fancy resort with lots of noise this is not the place for you.would i go back probably not i like a nicer beach but still a a wonderful time. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent Resort

Clean, Well maintained around Pool area & beach area Good Food Just one concern, i would like to bring my daughter to this resort, but she has many allergies, i am not sure, if this can be catered or not.

Riu Montego Bay: Very nice resort

Rooms and grounds were kept very clean. The staff was excellent ,beach was nice, 16 foot catamarans were available to take out at no charge a long with peddle boats. Scuba lessons were also available

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: OK resort. Terrible customer service

Grounds are beautiful. Rooms are dated. Front Desk employees do not resolve issues. They argued about a $12 in room safe charge that didn't work. Would not budge. You will never win a customer complaint argument with them. They will nickel and dime you to the end. No concept of the customer is always right. Like I would lie about a $12 in room safe charge. Won't return here. The cleaning staff and some Restaurant staff were spectacular. Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Amazing Resort Loved it

Everyone was just great the Room were Execellant as was the staff they could not do enough for you and the weather was beyond wonderfull I am so happy with this Hotel I have already booked for Christmas and New Years the Spa was great as was the food I have no complaints about this Resort at all

Sandals Dunn's River: Awesome adult getaway

We are almost 50 and found the age range here to be mostly 30+, so this suited us perfectly. The service here was very good and the food was excellent. We stayed for 2 weeks and did not find buffet dining to be repetitive at all. Tuesday night beach parties and Thursday dining under the stars are not to be missed, the amount of work the staff put into this in incredible.Asian restaurant is a blast, lots of fun. Make sure to make use of the kayaks, hobies, paddle boats, etc. If there was anything at all we would change about this resort, it would be a longer beach as it is quite small here. We would highly recommend this resort.

Melia Braco Village: Relaxing!

This small resort is quaint and cute! The village setting is peaceful and relaxing. The people who work here are amazing…they are happy and fun to be around. There is a lot to do (if you want to) and there is little to do (if you want nothing to do). Activities are on-going all day long. We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the middle of the village. We had absolutely no complaints with the food. We ate at the steak house, the paste restaurant and the buffet. The service was top notch. Ho [... read more]usekeeping was great, and morning coffee for two was delivered to our room most mornings within minutes of placing the order. We were in building 7 on the second floor which had a wonderful view, and only the occasional bat. The only suggestions we can make are as follows: more rocking chairs in the village area, fix the lack of hot water issue in the bathroom, be able to regulate the hot tub temperature (one day it is cold, and the next it is scolding), and fix the GFI in the bathroom which does not work. The staff did not expect or assume you were giving them a tip, which is refreshing. Although they say the water sports are free, I had to pay a non-refundable fee for the snorkel equipment I borrowed. There is still much work to be done on the grounds to consider them finished, but every day they were making progress. A very enjoyable trip, met lots of wonderful people. Thank you.
