Riu Playa Blanca: Not a 5 Star

I was disappointed with the resort because I was looking forward to a 5 star. I have stayed at 4 stars that were better. The resort is clean. The buffet had quite a large variety of food. Brand name spirits available at bars. A la cartes were just okay. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms in the room. There were no extras. No hand cream, shampoo, conditioner etc. There was only one bathroom for the entire pool area. Very little service at buffets or pool side. Hallways and r [... read more]ooms very stark and institutional looking. Nothing to do close to the resort at all. Not a terrible place but certainly not 5 star.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Awesome resort

The hotel is kept very clean, everywhere you look there are employees working on the gardens and every part of the resort. Very nice. The views of the pool and the ocean are amazing. Beautiful palm trees everywhere along the beach.

Riu Republica: The Riu Republica is great resort

the hotel was very good ,with the service,food and amenities.The room was a fantastic ocean view,with balcony, it was very spacious and well kept. I must also mention the entertainment, it was absolutely fantastic every evening and there was also a great. house band every evening to keep us dancing. Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing Resort!

My husband and I had a great time at this Riu Palace Resort. The grounds and rooms are spotless. The food is terrific! The friendly staff really make the resort extra special. We will be back next year for sure!

Riu Tequila: Unforgettable vacation!

I cannot say anything negative about this hotel. The food was very good. We only tried the steak house for a la cartes. We preferred to just go to the buffet. All of the staff were very friendly. Our favourite bartender was Ray at the bar outside of the sports bar. The entertainment staff worked so hard to get to know everyone. It soun [... read more]ds very sketchy but is not at all. They take very good care of you and make sure you are safe at all times. The rooms are nice and clean. The beach is phenomenal. The pool is nice but very quiet with a few activities throughout the day. All in all it was the best resort I have ever visited. Would love to go back!!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Awesome resort

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. The food was excellent with a wide variety of different foods. Rooms and room service and housekeeping was excellent. The staff was amazing, always happy and willing to please. The goundkeepers were great too, always working hard to keep everything looking neat. I will definately be returning to this resort.

Riu Ocho Rios: Absolutely amazing trip!

I loved everything about this place. Super clean, food was great, service was excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was also extremely clean. Did not have a single issue at the resort.

Riu Santa Fe: Worth a return trip

The main pool located infront of building 7 has spectacular views. We thoroughly enjoyed our morning breakfast overlooking the ocean. Nice rooms, good food. Our second time at this RUI. Well worth a returned visit.

Riu Republica: Great Adult Resort

We were pleasantly surprised with this resort as there were many negative reviews on this resort. Well don't pay attention to these reviews as the resort is great. Food lots of options in the buffet no one will go hungry. Loved the variety and theme nights. The three restaurants are good as well and no reservations required. We loved the patio in the buffet section. Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. Great shower. I would recommend that you bring a night light if you need light as th [... read more]e glass panel in the shower doesn't allow you to keep the bathroom light on. As we like the beach we didn't use the pools however people that we spoke to liked the pools. No need to get up early to reserve chairs. There are tons on loungers in the beach and pool areas. We enjoyed drinks In The lobby after dinner and found the quality of drinks pretty good. We will definitely return to this resort.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resport

The resort was well laid out and all restaurants and shopping were easy to access. There was never a shortage of chairs on the beach and the pools looked amazing. The grounds were always being cleaned and the rooms were a good size with a shower big enough for at least 2. It was nice to be able to go to the a la carte restaurants without having to book a reservation. All in all, I would definitely return to this resort.

Riu Guanacaste: Had a wonderful stay

Great food, staff was really good had a little issue with my safe and it was resolve within 5 minutes. Room was clean and sheet smelt so fresh. Older resort but very nice. Would definitely go back the weather is unbelievable.

Riu Guanacaste: Service Stands Out

Excellent service from all staff. Beautiful property and beautiful country, however many of the best attractions in Costa Rica are not nearby. Great stretch of beach to walk on. Highlight of the trip was walking to the end of the beach to see the monkeys.

Riu Republica: Girls "retreat" RIU Republica

Not your typical RIU if you have stayed at others in the past. If you read up on the resort before booking there should be no surprises. Keep in mind if you are planning on hanging around the "party pool" with swim up bar, there usually is quite a few very drunk stragglers at the end of the day and very loud. Some people never leave the pool bar all day! Likely should be called the "bathroom pool"! At least it is not connected to the activity pool and the servers were actually very attentive in  [... read more]fetching our drinks( more so if tips are involved). Smokers are very inconsiderate of who is beside them and where they are blowing their smoke.(pool, buffet, entertainment plaza, lobby). But then, it is not unique to this resort. Our girls group had a great time. We did not starve, there was aboundant food at the buffets, my least favourite meal was the only a la carte-steakhouse. The servers were very attentive. We tended to sit in the same areas and once they received a tip after our first meal, service was excellent. The staff are great and friendly. The entertainment team always encouraging people to participate, but they are not insistent. They also get the ladies and gents up to dance in the evenings. Rooms: we upgraded to courtyard but we overlooked the entertainment plaza area and were placed on the second floor. Our patio came out into the roof of the walking area on the main floor. I would suggest a higher floor request towards the beach/ pool area. The rooms are large and kept very clean. Our rooms usually done first thing every morning. Would I return again? Not my first choice. Would I recommend? Yes, if you are going with partying in mind and know in advance what to expect. The only unpleasant experience was the length of time from touching down on arrival to check in-- 3hrs. Beware if you are travelling on a Saturday morning flight!!! There are quite a few that arrive at the same time and the line up through entry tax station, then immigration is lengthy-have your forms filed in and ready when arriving. Your luggage is usually off the belt and waiting for pick up when done with immigration. Then the wait for all passengers on the bus, then hotel shuttle stops along the way!! On the return we were picked up at 8:40 and arrived at 10:15 with another long wait for Sunwing check in, then security and immigration. Very little duty free shopping time! I would suggest taking a taxi to and back from the resort if I were to do it again.

Riu Negril: All round awsome resort!

Great holiday, food was top notch, lots to choose from, Jamaican, Canadian desserts of all varieties, coffee was amazing. Service & staff friendly, servers always available. Rooms clean & comfortable bed with change up daily. Pool & grounds very clean, always cleaning around pool & grounds. Great all inclusive holiday, my second time back & will return with out any doubt.

Riu Emerald Bay: I loved it very satisfied I would go back

This hotel is perfect for families we really enjoyed our stay The staff are very nice and helpful a lot of them don't speak very good English but you can find someone who does if you ask around The staff work hard at keeping the place clean and entertaining the guests The beach is awesome even though the ocean is a bit rough you can still enjoy boogie boarding If you ask for a memory foam for your bed they will bring it and it makes a big difference The food is Ok I really enjoyed the br [... read more]eakfast food the most just like any all-inclusive the buffet is pretty much the same every day but I always managed to find something I liked Typical sweet drinks and draft beer as any other resort We really like having a mini fridge that was stocked almost daily we had a nice king sized bed and a beautiful view of the ocean I was happy with everything overall I want to thank Karol at trip central for all his help

Riu Flamingos: Fantastic Resort

The hotel was very well kept and elegant. You always have access to terrific food whether it be in the sports bar, or all day buffet. The rooms are all very close to eachother, so if you go here with a large group it is very easy to meet up. The Steak House is by far the best place to eat in terms of restaurants, but with how terrific the all-day buffet is there isn't really any need to worry about making it to the restaurants in time. The drinks are all very well made too, a little strong but i mean hey,you're on vacation right? The rooms are beautiful, i stayed on the bottom floor in the cheapest room and it was still fantastic. 9/10 would go again.

Riu Republica: Very Large Resort

Pools were lg and beautiful, Tons of beach chairs, so you didn't have to go down at 6 to get one. Washrooms were very limited for such a big resort, only one with 3 stalls around each pool area and only one by the lobby, which was also where night club and theatre were, with over a thousand rooms this was one of the problems. Restaurants were all great food but all were buffet even the Italian and Asian ones. Steakhouse was ok, but felt rushed and there was only one steak on the menu. Resort i [... read more]s lag and needed to get our room moved as we were the farthest away from anything and my husband walks with a cane and wouldn't have been able to do it all week, they were very accommodating in changing rooms.

Riu Reggae: Alright Resort

I've been traveling to Jamaica for 19 yrs now, This resort is not a 5 star resort. We were given a new room because phone was not working only to get in new room and have same issues. No reservations for restaurants was not a good idea, we were unable to try the restaurants. People were friendly, which is a normal thing for Jamaica. Would not return to this resort in the future.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Wonderful first time experience in Puerto Plata area

We thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay at this resort, we were totally amazed at the entire experience from booking our resort to our stay. Cannot say how much we were pleased with resort, staff, food amazing, service of the entire resort, we have nothing but compliments for the whole place......never encountered any problems at all....would definitely come back again

Romantic views, stunning scenery, very cleanly, lots of food to choose from.Rooms our spacious Huge pools with swimup bars Lots of activities going on.Lot of excursons with horseback riding- Atv-whalewatching-sunset dinner.
