Paradisus Varadero: Amazing service
Great value and high end at the same time. Second time there and will be going back next year Amenities are clean and we'll organized. Child care service is amazing. 200 words is too much for any hotel review.
Melia Las Antillas: Beautiful beach and grounds
Hotel is older. Need to get a room that is off the ground floor. Many many smokers here. Cigarettes everywhere . Food was fine and the hotel and staff are hospitable and experienced which means they listen and are helpful . We had a great stay and super week
Melia Las Dunas: The decline of Melia Las Dunas
I had visited Melia Las Dunas a few years ago with my oldest daughter(Kendra) and everything was above average to excellent. This is the reason I decided to return with my youngest daughter(Kenya) 9 years old. 1- Upon arrival our room had no hot water....After a long day a hot shower was required.....Therefore we changed rooms and discovered that we still had no hot water with very low water pressure. After a day or two the water became lukewarm and never attained the status of being HOT....!! [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Good, but not great
We enjoyed our time at Las Dunas - the stand out at the resort was definitely the staff - definitely the best I've ever encountered at a resort!!! Food was good - we enjoyed the Oriental and the Mediterranean . The beach is fantastic. The adult pool was lovely - serene and very relaxing Room was large and well appointed. Our maid was lovely and kept it spotless. Lobby and beer garden were filled with families with loud misbehaved kids on the weekend - that was probably our biggest co [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Very good resort
This is an amazingly beautiful resort. Public washrooms are clean and always have toilet paper. Public areas also all very clean. Unfortunately the service is hit and miss. Although for the most part it is very good. The buffet is not desirable. Breakfast is the best. The grill at the beach is also very good; hint get the chicken. Pools are fantastic and so is the beach.
Melia Varadero: Great Resort
We loved the compact feel of this resort as everything was close by (restaurants, bars, pools etc). This resort is very clean, even the outdoor bathrooms. The food was plentiful and good, no issues. The one issue is that there is a beach bar but no bathroom on the beach so every time you needed to go, you had to walk all the way back to the pool area. I highly recommend this resort.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: wonderful accomodations!
Dining was excellent. The Ala carted were over the top. Our room was spacious, and clean and the hospitality was great. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone. I really enjoyed my stay in holguin.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: A very nice resort ,small so easy to get around
Needs a little TLC ,grounds could be nicer. Staff very friendly, housekeeper made beautiful towel art. Food was good most days, always found something to eat. All the staff remembered you and would give you a kiss when you came in to the bar or restaurant. They even remembered what you drank.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Breathtaking!
I absolutely loved this place but most of all I loved the staff. The most friendly and happy people Ive met. They really took care of us and went above and beyond our expectations. The white sand beac is in walking distance. the hotel has several different cuisines to choose from which was a highlight. The architecture is beautiful. I do wish the hot tubs were available.. The hotel also always had entertainment going on every night!
Memories Cayo Largo: Great Time at Sol Cayo Largo
Second time at the resort - we had a great time and plan to return next year. The beach is amazing, and the staff are the best. And a big thank you to Mike at Tripcentral for coordinating the booking. Wonderful!
Sol Varadero Beach: Great time
I was a little reluctant an this hotel being a 3 star. The hotel is old but clean ..The only trouble I had (Because I have a little trouble walking). Was the pools there was only one that had a hand rail to get in or out. The food was good ..And the staff were great.
Melia Las Antillas: Things have changed...
I was at this very resort in January of 2017, then returned in December 2017. I noticed that the resort was not as well maintained as in the past. The elevator was not working, and this was not communicated to us or anyone else at check-in. We were on the top floor which did not bother me other than when we had to carry our luggage to and from our room. We were there one week and it was never working. The railing on the spiral stairwell to the lobby (the only way there) was decorated with X [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: Another great getaway
The resort has a few issues that are going to have to be addressed soon. The equipment in the exercise rooms are in sore need of repair. None of the electrically controlled equipment (stepper, elliptical, exercise bikes, etc) were functioning. The weight room needs some up-dating as well as many of the flat weights are broken. The pool needs new liners or at the least holes repaired (and there must be many). The food, as usual, was good and varied. The service is always good here and a [... read more]
Hotel Vigia: Sol Cayo Guillermo
Very welcoming and friendly, smiling staff and atmosphere. Staff cannot do enough for you, they are all very accommodating. Clean resort , all areas, lobby, shops, bars, restaurants, public washrooms and guest rooms. Although grounds and surrounding area are still being restored from the devastation of the hurricane it still looks beautiful. Everyday workers are on the job from dawn to dusk and after. Pools are crystal clear. I will definitely be returning to this resort and miss it alread [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Great place to be at!
I have travelled everywhere and finally settled to Tryp Cayo Coco many years ago. Now a repeat customer, going twice a year, I can say that this is the best Cuban resort of the Island (in my opinion). Staff is like family, beach is gorgeous and food never disappoints. I was there this December, of course they are still working hard to rebuild from the hurricane damages but they are progressing well. The place is not yet fully functional but it will be very nice when finished with a more modern f [... read more]
Melia Las Americas: Great beach-Great people
Had a super time. Walk out the main lobby and a few steps and you are on a glorious beach. Food was good and service was great. We did not golf, but if you are a golfer, this the the place to be. A beautiful course right beside the resort. We will return.
Melia Cayo Coco: Total Peace
We stayed at Melia Cayo Coco December 6-13. There was absolutely nothing that wasn't great. The flight, the staff, the rooms, the meals and the activities were all very good. The beach is the best in Cuba. The crowd is quiet and mature and it resulted in a very peaceful holiday which was exactly what we were looking for. Of the entire week, the Tuesday evening pre-show entertainment was the best ever! The four men sang classical music equivalent to the Canadian Tenors. It was the best mus [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Very good resort
I was previously at the resort in May of 2017 and just recently returned in early December after opening a month previous after the hurricane. Much was done and in great shape. They have done a lot since then and pretty much everything was back in shape other than the grounds which were very close to normal and gardeners were working hard to get the grounds back to normal. The service was very good, food was good the resort was clean, and the entertainment was fun and good.
Melia Las Dunas: Fun time at familiar resort
Well after the hurricanes went through the area in September the rebuild is amazing!!! This was our 3rd trip Las Dunas and it didn't disappoint. Beach is wonderful, ALL staff are beyond friendly and approachable. The Cuban alacarte was extremely tasty (lobster enchilada) was totally unexpected. The only down fall of the trip was the insect bites, pretty sure its a result of all the distrurbance of the surrounding vegetation and rebuild. But insect repellant was working just seemed to affect the w [... read more]
