Melia Las Dunas: Melia Las Dunas
Went there Dec, 2017. My parents recommended to go. Weather was great. Hotel was good. Staff was very friendly and entertaining. Was a lots of show starting at 6pm and contests. I had a great time. Food was great a lots of everything. Fish, meat, chicken, veggies, fruits, deserts. I even didn't have time to go to restaurant over there, because was a lots of food at buffet. I liked pizzeria at the hotel as well. Beach little bit destroyed by hurricane but water nice, warm and clear. You can see e [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great week!
We were very impressed with the hotel. The facilities and staff were great. Using the voucher program we had our room upgraded to an ocean view for $20(total). They were replacing all the matresses the week we were there, so got a brand new mattress. We didnt think ‘Royal Service’ was worth the extra cost it would have been $800 or so to upgrade for a week. Food was excellent and they do have bottled sauces available.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great vacation.
If you can't have a good time here, you have serious problems:) Great staff, great room, one of the best beach fronts I've seen. Stayed on the Mares side pool was awesome and very lively. Lobby bar is excellent place to hang out. Wonderful maids room was spotless every day. Food was not bad at all it's Cuba, always found something good to eat. Beach bar restaurant for lunch was fantastic. The bus ride in from airport is very interesting, you see the real rural Cuba. Travel rep was excellent. A w [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Ouch
When we arrived there was no one in the lobby, except three guys trying to help an impaired woman onto an elevator. Once the reception staff arrived the booking in process was quick and easy. There were no available directions to the room, so we wound up tipping when it wasnt necessary. The bell boy had many currencies in many denominations and was quite willing to give us change. In the room the bathroom door didn't open all the way, the closet bi-fold doors were missing half the hardware so th [... read more]

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Paradisus Princesa Del Mar in Varadero
We stayed at Paradisus Princesa Del Mar in Varadero 7 days and we had a wonderful time. Beautiful hotel, very clean, rooms are big, excellent food and of course I should say that Cuban people are the most friendly people in the world, they are warm and I believe that CUBA is one the safe place. They have the best beaches. I also have to thanks Angela for her services ( Travel Agent).
Paradisus Rio De Oro: WOW !!!
Third visit this time spent in Royal Section simply amazing. I can't say enough about the staff. My mother was with us for this trip and she was staying on the regular side, never had any problem having a cart go pick her up as she has difficulty walking for long periods. Rooms were clean, mini bar filled every day. Just an excellent vacation.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful Resort!!!
The grounds of the resort were exceptionally well kept...bathrooms were spotless.. the beach was huge!! The service was fantastic at all the bars.. the restaurants were amazingly delicious..especially the Japanese!! We had some terrific servers... Fernando at Marseile.. Rigo in the main buffet.. the best was the lady who made our omlettes in the main buffet!! Leo who helped with everything!!
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Coming Alive Again!
The hotel is working hard to restore itself back to original, after the hit by hurricane Irma. Activities were limited at first, but gradually animation team went into action, as more guests arrived. Buffet at beginning was breakfast only, then supper too, as our week went on. Beach and pool restaurants were always in operation. Food variety increased, too. A la cartes were fantastic! Grounds beautifully kept. Cleaning staff did a great job. Hot water for shower anytime! Beach beautiful ... [... read more]
Melia Buenavista: The oasis of peace and cordiality
The hotel staff had the greatest impact on us feeling taken care off and welcomed. The object heavily affected by hurricane has grown back into the well maintained new gardens renewed roofs, and freshly painted walls. Congratulations for the good work in recovery and keeping the big warm heart open for the gests.
Melia Buenavista: it was great - very quite and relaxing resort
friendly staff, attentive, very clean rooms, spacious. well maintained by staff each day. beautiful pool and facilities. would like to open the doors in the room but without screen doors it is very hard as mosquitoes get in. should have screendoors. should also have a 'do not disturb' sign that can be used. many staff members knocked at the door while we were in the room and we felt we could never have our privacy because we never knew when they would knock or come in. a 'do not disturb ' s [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice Resort
This resort once was Sandals. We have been there 5 times nad generally enjoy: the beaches, accommodation and service. Cuban people are very nice, but lacking training and experience. Since Melia (50/50 Cuba and Spanish) corporation took over(2-3 years ago) the whole resort is going down. Walkways are dirty and not cleaned. Beaches the same, the dirt is accumulated in one spot and left there with wild dogs running on beach and inside resort. Food is very poor. Restaurants (except Japanese), are [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Dated, but great value
the resort is older, but everything was clean and worked well the food was awesome for Cuba, staff were great, we would go back anytime, beaches in Cuba are the best I've ever seen, bang for your buck is right here
Melia Las Dunas: Started rough ended better!
The hotel was beautiful but unfortunately we had five rooms in one building and all the rooms were infested with the same black bugs, tub filled with them! Kids afraid to sleep ! They finally moved us after three nights and a lot of complaining ! After that we enjoyed the resort fully!
Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful incredible experience!
My roommate and I travelled to Melia Las Dunas at cayo Santa Maria Cuba nov 24- dec 1. We where slightly worries at what state we would find the resort and surrounding areas post hurricane. Upon arrival we where welcomed by amazing hostest, happy, courteous, smiling, professional workers. They came to say hi with drinks and then brought to our rooms with the bell boys and golf carts. Bell boys really kind and gave us a tour of the resort on the way to our room. I was very surprised to see that t [... read more]
Melia Las Americas: Disappointed
Was at the same property two years ago and the food quality has dropped. Other than a few bad meals it’s still pretty good for Cuba but it use to be great! They are doing some renovations and we had an updated bungalow which was nice. The staff are friendly and try very hard. Would go back but they would have to drop the price to reflect the drop in food quality.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort
Room was clean and well kept, bar fridge as well. Grounds cleaned up well after hurricane season, trees hit hardest, but the beach is still littered with twigs, etc and not being attended to. The staff were very friendly with or without tipping most of the time. Entertainment was great once, average most nights, and limited for 5 stars. Food was sketchy at the buffet, timing is everything, and a la carte restaurants were ok. Toilette paper needed, bring your own out at night.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey
Hotel was half open as fixing still happening to part of the resort. All was excellent with all other services, pool, beach palapas are more abundant than before the storm. Beach is now twice as wide somehow than before so it is improved remarkably. Food was quite good for Cuba and service at lobby bar was incredible, best I have seen in 12 visits to Cuba. Went with friends and dying to go back with sons in 3 to 4 weeks to same resort.
Paradisus Varadero: Amazing resort
It was our first time in Cuba , and we went at Paradisus Varadero 5 âï¸ hotel . The only thing I have to say , is that it was amazing, people were very friendly and always ready to help , rooms were always clean , the outside environment was always kept clean , the beach was grate and clean . Many people told me that the food is not good there , I don’t know why they said that , the food is amaizing , and something that surprised me it was that the cook talked to me in person because he saw [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: Most amazing beach and wonderful staff
The hotel is the nicest on the island, we visited the others. It also has a lovely beach right by it, though a visit to Playa Sirena and Playa Paraiso are also a must. The staff is friendly and remembers repeat guests on sight. It's no surprise that most guests are repeat visitors.
