Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: beautiful beaches
Overall good. Rooms good maybe not the barracks part. Service slow, lots of waiting in line and very unorganized. Beaches awesome. Food good. Loved the catamaran to swim with the dolphins. Victor and the crew were a lot of fun.
Brisas Covarrubias: amazing beach!
A three star at best if not less. Shade is very limited on the beach and yes people hog the chairs by tying them together with towels and returning hours later expecting their spot! The locals do get served first! even if you've been standing in line for some time. March 6 - 13 one solid week of 30 degree weather! Forget the nit picking and you'll have a blast!
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Amazing trip!!!
I was there in 2012, and had a great time. I had another amazing time with the friends that took us last time and we brought a couple more with us. Was nicely surprised to see so many new things, like another swim up bar, the Pirate's bar on the beach where Christopher Columbus landed. Three more snack bars that also served breakfast by taking our order at the table! A lovely sauna, cheap prices for massages, etc. The unbelievable "Returning Supper" for previous guests and we were allowed to als [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: Great resort!!
Nice place. Great hotel. Great food. We have been in Cuba over 10 times. This place was the first time. The beach was great but a bit windy and had the red flag up half of the time(march8-15,2015). The best part was that the music and entertaining all day long feels like every day is Sunday. Not once my thought went back to "work" .
Playa Costa Verde: great vacation
this hotel staff was wonderful food was good hotel was clean ! The kids club was great we travelled as a family with 2 children and they had activites for them at the pool and also in the evening for the disco!!
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: solid 3 star
This resort is very large as it is 4 resorts made into one. Overall we had a good experience. You have to visit pirates cove and at hello to Rico, great guy and he makes the best drinks on the resort. only bad experience was with the shop at the main reception area. My husband had been buying cigars from there during our 2 week stay, a coupleof the of days before we left he purchased the same cigars at the store over at the bungalows and realized that they were half the price of what he had been [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Upgrading is a must
Our first room was a 3 star or less as it was musty smelling and smelt like sewage in the morning. The ground were nice, pools beautiful and the beach amazing. Once we upgraded to the other side which was called Prima Playa Pesquero that blew our minds on how beautiful it was and the rooms absolutely amazing with private butler. The service of the staff was also amazing we were treated like royalty. We will go back for sure next year at Prima Playa Pesquero.
Playa Pesquero: New management hinders service!
We returned to this resort after the most amazing holiday last March break. We were so impressed with the service from the staff, the maintenance of the resort and the overall lush feel. We returned expecting a similar experience, however were very disappointed with the new management that has recently taken over. They seem to be more interested in making money and cutting back vs. maintaining a level of service to keep returning guests satisfied. The new policies that have been put in place are [... read more]
Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: A great resort for the price
Just got back from this resort it was great for the price paid although for the first two days we did not have a toilet seat, and no, I'm not joking. The beaches were great sand was really soft and lots of swimming and snorkeling to do
Playa Pesquero: Everything We Wanted!!
On our first trip to Cuba we could not have had a better resort. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room, while a little dated, was clean and the water was HOT. The resort itself is very large and beautiful - extremely well-kept. The pools are uniquely designed and centrally located. The beach is white sand, warm water - what more could you desire. You do have to walk a lot though. Meals at Playa Pesqero were very good - the a la carte at Seafood Restaurant - was excellent ( staff were e [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good expererince
Example: What did you think about this hotel? Friendly staff, neat and clean hotel, drinks and foods are fine(great values for grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) I stayed at the club Amigo seven nights. I was pleasantly surprised as many of Torontonian, European, and Asian. The lobby is beautiful and comfortable and features a lounge that serves wonderful cocktails 24/7 service. Check in was fairly efficient. The room was a "normal" room. It was very large, with a long entr [... read more]
Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: It was ok for the money
The grounds were good - it was a decent resort. The rooms were clean, the public bathrooms were pretty clean compared to some I've been to, but missing toilet seats and door locks. The resort itself was nice. The food was pretty good for Cuba, however, the one complaint I have is with respect to customer service. I don't think this resort is very well managed and they appear to be understaffed. Two bus loads arrived when we arrived, and there was one person at the front desk. It took a very long [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great time at Club Amigo

Whent for lobster diner just delicious Menemen menemenem
Playa Costa Verde: Another good time
Our second year at this resort.. Enjoyed the second year even more than the first.. Clean grounds and the staff were very friendly! We were disappointed with the banking on site as there seem to be a problem obtaining the one peso coin for tipping purposes. Some days nothing available and other days you were limited to the amount they would exchange. Paper money no problem.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Still the best staff in the Caribbean.
Just back from one week but planning to return very soon for friends anniversary. This hotel has the best staff of any hotel anywhere we have stayed. The building is charming especially when lit at night. The beaches awesome with two snack bars at either end. A la carte restaurants all good. Our favorite is the French, Mexican and Italian. Fonzy and Williams meet us at the bus on arrival to take our luggage, Juan Carlos, Arnoldo, Edder and the desk staff are so organized you have your braceler a [... read more]
Brisas Guardalavaca: March 2015 - Travelled in Wheelchair - 3rd Visit
Brisas - Guardalavaca, Cuba has been my only Destination Vacation. I have had a spinal cord injury for 20+yrs at the C6-C7 level and am a quadriplegic. Therefore, some of my review of the Brisas will be from a wheelchair users perspective. I was unable to get a Villa room identified as wheelchair accessible as they are limited in supply - there were many guests with mobility related issues (seniors, children) this year. We were in Villa Unit 9; Room 9107. This room had one major issue - I was u [... read more]
Playa Costa Verde: very friendly resort
extremely courteous and helpful staff. Great pool and bar. Great smaller resort with friendly atmosphere. Japanese restaurant was entertaining and tasty.Rooms were spacious and clean. Maid service was excellent.
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: great beach
The hotel was really good. There are different levels of rooms so an upgrade for a few extra dollars is well worth the money. The staff is very friendly. Pirate bar serves the best pina coladas and mohitos. There are places that serve amazing food but as well places where its the same stuff every day. Doesn't cost anything to eat at the great places. Just ask around to find out where they are on the grounds. The scooters are a must to rent super cheap. Hear towards the marina. Meet great people [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Big Bang for the buck
Great resort, lots of things to do and see, beaches and pools are fantastic, everyone is very friendly and helpful.. Definitely exceeded expectations and would go back for a great vacation at an affordable price point!
Playa Costa Verde: beautiful beach
This was our 2nd time to PCV and we were not disappointed. For us, the beach is the main attraction and of course Cuba. We love Cuba and the Cuban people who make it such a wonderful, safe place to visit Food was good - something for everyone. I absolutely loved my daily cappuccino at the lobby bar - delicious. This resort tends to be popular for an older crowd - no night life but that was fine for us. We fit right in! Rooms are a little dated but spacious and the beds were quite comfortable.
