Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: So Many Options

If we consider just the Palm and Tropical. Kind of leaving the owners out of my review. The option to either take a shuttle bus or just walk to get around. The walk up and down the hill it rests on would be tough on some. But the walk around is complemented by easy to follow paths to take.Plenty of kiosks with a map of the site Lots of shade from the trees and buildings. The guys at the lobby bar deserve a special mention. Very engaging and fun to hang out with. Similar with the buffet staff. The food was very good and a decent variety. I only ate at one a la cart. Indo China. Food was very good and the view from the restaurant was very nice. One only complaint. I found a piece of metal in my meal. Looked like a small chip of twisted metal from a can opener. I showed the head of staff while it was still on my plate.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Great

The hotel was really lovely. We especially loved the beach, it was just perfect! Huge, lots of shaded areas, not crowded, with turquoise water and white sand. It's the best feature of the hotel, truly! The room they initially gave us was a no-go due to the bathroom that was basically in the room, with no privacy at all. I had to go back to the reception and they changed our room to a much better one (with a spacious private bathroom) at no extra fee. The food in the buffets was OK. My partner di [... read more]d have an upset stomach one day, though. This lasted 24 hours. Make sure to pack Pepto-Bismol since they charge 21 USD for a pack of those pink chewable tablets. Other than that, everything was great.

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: Amazing time at Grand Palladium Bavaro

Spent a fantastic week at Grand Palladium Bavaro. The staff were friendly, accomodating and always eager to help. The grounds, pool side and beach were clean all the time. Food was great and especially loved having the chance to experience all 3 of the hotels. Would go back for sure!

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Rooms are very tired!

This is by far the worse resort we have ever stayed in. First impressions are good except there was only ever 1 person at reception so check in is very slow. Grounds are very neat but oh the rooms are so old. The bed creaks at every turn, the mattress was lumpy and we tried 2 rooms. Dont even hope for even warm water - its lukewarm at best. 3 days we had to chase room service for towels, if you dont ask for bottles of water you dont get any. The food is ok, plenty available but drinks are watere [... read more]d down so much you could not possibly get drunk if you wanted too. The ocean is far too rough to swim in, only good for kiting. But, the entertainment - this was the best we have seen in DR and the only reason we stayed the full 7 nights

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Expected more

The Hotel staff, ( dining area ) were extremely friendly, helpful, and extremely attentive with myself, but most importantly my LO one employee imparticularly would go above and beyond to always greet my son the 100 times he seen him! Thank you Frandy! The water park area was the show of the hotel for my LO, we spent most of our time there! But unfortunately nothing really got fixed as the moment the gentleman left the AC turned off an hour later, the following day inwent to reception and I was told I would get someone to check.. but unfortunately no one ever came. The room service was amazing, food was delicious. Not as much variety to choose from, but whatever was there was great.. the dining room food for dinner was extremely bland, same dinner everyday with only a few changes to give it the impression that there was different variations of food, we 100% preferred room service rather then sweating to get our food.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort

We just returned from Iberostar Costa Dorado and don't have any complaints. This was our second time at this resort. The resort was well maintained, there were a ton of beach loungers and our room was great. The only complaint we have is the outside vendors that are brought in are extremely pushy. They do not take no for an answer and were getting very upset with us if we did not buy anything. We would not hesitate to return for another vacation.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Heavens

Well maintained and run especially considering how slow it was. The animation team did a great job getting people involved in an off season environment Amazing beach 🏖️ and pool area Always enough poolside or beach chairs.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing Resort!

Everything was really good people were very nice they work very hard to make everyone happy, yes there is line up to get drinks but there is so many of them and a huge amount of us they are doing the best they can, its not the end of the world to wait in line for a few minutes to get a drink

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Best resort with the best entertainment staff!

My favourite part was the entertainment staff, especially José, who made me feel so welcomed and excited for each new day! He truly made me feel like my vacation was too short! I will certainly be back as soon as possible and hope that he will be hosting more activities!!! He knows how to work the crowd! The food, the rooms, the pool and the beach all exceeded my expectations.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Awesome Resort-Think Twice About Sunwing

This resort was absolutely amazing. We were on a ground floor(which I am not a fan of) but this was a plus. Our room was in front of the koi pond that is the home of three gorgeous flamingos and they were in front of our room every day. The pool is unreal, never had this at a resort. The snack bar at the beach also amazing, awesome food and great location. The staff were absolutely amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. The fact there are no reservations for any dinners is an absolute plus, and the food was amazing. There were a couple of things, but not worth mentioning as I feel they were one offs and not down to the policy of the hotel. People had said the rooms were dated, but they were ultra clean and housekeeping was amazing. In my opinion if I am going to a country as old as DR I don't want to pull it in to the 21st century and stay in an ultra modern room. I want to feel like I'm living in a replica of the time. Everything worked and it was spotless I have some issues with Sunwing but again has nothing to do with this hotel. Huge shout outs to Noami, Wander, Alberto, Cecil, Kendra, Franklin and Adrian and so many more...we had a great time, excluding the sunwing experience and will be back in September.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Meh

This resort was SO BIG. The relaxing vacation feeling is lost when your balcony faces the employee shuttle bus parking lot, and when you have to step into the weeds to allow cars to pass on the shared walkway/road. Pools were a little dirty and there are constantly people trying to sell you things. There was a night in which there was no running water on the resort for hours and (brief) power outages. Pros: there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from and the food was good. The rooms were nice (although a weird shower design that gets water everywhere) and I liked that the mini fridge came stocked with different snacks/drinks. Large pools with different atmospheres (relaxing, kids area, party pool) and various night activities (theatre show, 24hr sports bar, disco, casino, adult pool open until midnight).

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Honeymoon

We recently stayed at the Ambar for our honeymoon and it was nothing short of a great week! The grounds are gorgeous and so well kept, the staff were friendly and quick to help out whenever you needed. The rooms were very nice and recently updated. Then mini fridge was slightly warm but the drinks in it were still somewhat cool. We ate at 2 of the restaurants M.E.A.T and the Italian, both were excellent. We spent a lot of time at the pool area and the service was excellent! Marlena was amazing and kept bringing our drinks in a timely fashion. The entertainment staff were exceptional! Edwin and Tony were fantastic! They were so friendly and kind and made sure we had a great time along with lots of laughs! We will for sure be returning!

Ocean Blue and Sand: So so resort!

The Resort not too far from the airport, rooms are ample and neat, resort buildings are not too old. However, the hot tub was not working and we asked for repair no body responded. Food was not too bad, desserts could be much better. Dine in restaurants were good in terms of booking. Drinks were not the best. Beach is okay, not too wide, but no seaweed . Pools are well maintained. Resort was not crowded so for us was very convenient.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great

Gorgeous mangroves, convenient locations of pools (though an area was undergoing renovations), pretty beach (though the waves are rough), nice room. A La carte restaurants are great, buffet is alright.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Unbelievable stay one of the best resorts

We had an amazing time and will be going back for sure. Beach, Staff and Food was all above expectations. Room was one of the nicest we have stayed in. We are picky eaters and loved the food always found something we enjoyed.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very disappointed.

Hotel room had a coffee machine but no coffee or tea was ever available to make. Food at the buffet was questionable. Seeming to be recycled from meal to meal, breakfast, lunch and dinner meats were always dry giving a clear indication not much was being made fresh. The juices made available for breakfast were made of the leftover fruit and there was no freshly squeezed orange juice to be had. It was the powdered variety. There was no entertainment other than some not so talented vocalists a  [... read more]couple of times during the week I was there with recorded music having been played on the other days. We got sand fly bites on our legs at the beach so that became off limits having resort to the pool only. As a result of this very bad experience I have decided that All inclusive vacations will no longer be my choice of holiday.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Just my opinion- About Hotel

I never usually write reviews but I just think it’s best to get the word out to others who are thinking going. All I am gonna say is that this hotel food and service was a 0.The whole vacation me and my friend never got out water and drinks… we asked 3! Services to get us juice or water at least. I feel like they were serving all people who are Latin. Rooms have cockroaches inside and I just have so many things to say how we got welcomed not in a great way but this is gonna take too long. Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Exceptional

Beautiful resort, clean and friendly! Staff was on top of it all! Huge resort with quick transportation on site. The use of other hotels was amazing. The RSVP restaurants had surprisingly large portions for entrees. 10 out of 10!

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Loved this resort!

We travelled to Royalton Punta Cana in April, and look forward to returning there! Our room was Diamond Club 1 bedroom presidential swim out, and it was amazing! It had been 10+ yrs since we travelled due to serious injuries from a car accident, and then Covid. I was a bit worried how I would handle a resort with my mobility issues. This resort was not only beautiful, it was the perfect resort for us! Located in building 6, we were central to both the lobby and the beach, with the restaurants in [... read more] between, it was less than 4 minute walk anywhere, even with my limitations. We've never booked a swim out room before, but will every trip we go on in the future! The Diamond Club pool was clean, and usually not very busy. We either spent our time here, or on the beach. 5 of our days here we booked a Cabana and we would definitely recommend this! Maria & Theresa are wonderful! Price is $99/day, which includes either champagne or Corona, as well as a bucket of ice with bottled water (ice is regularly topped up). Your lunch is served to you there so you don't really have to go anywhere if you don't want to! You should get coupon booket from Diamond Club which includes cabanas $25 off/day (we had 3) The beach was the most beautiful I've ever seen! Although the waves can get a little strong, it was only really bad one day we were there. It's always kept extremely clean! We didn't use the other pools, so I can't really say what they were like. We did take the trolley to Splash for the waterpark, which my husband and daughter enjoyed. It's very simple to take trolley back and forth. It's the best of both worlds, as Royalton Punta Cana is a bit of a smaller resort (perfect for us), but you're attached to Splash, so also have access to the water park and their restaurants as well. Restaurants were great! Our favourite was definitely Hunters, where we went 2 days. Also went to Zen (Japenese) which our daughter loved! and even my picky husband liked the food, and Mexican restaurant at Splash (felt the servings were a bit small here, but food was good). Other couple days we chose to eat at the buffet (due to only late reservations being available) which we felt was good. Favourite server there was definitely Yonathan (who also works at Hunters) Staff in general was wonderful. We really liked the staff in the Diamond club, and our daughter found someone in there (sorry, forget her name) who made her daily ice coffees, which according to her were "even better than Starbucks". Our Butler was Omar, and he was good. He would find us everyday to see if there was anything we needed, arranged for us to go to the local 'market' to buy soveniers to take home (Free taxi...it's a little further than outside the gates, but money goes back into the Dominican economy, and you get a drive to see the area as well!), and arranged a wonderful surprise for us for our anniversary dinner. We would be happy to have him again. Most everyone we encountered seem to go above and beyond for us. I wish I could remember more names! Our travel agent Martine through Tripcentral was wonderful, and extremely helpful to this anxious traveller! A few things that made our trip even better, and that we would recommend and do again....book the lounge at the airports. We booked them both ways! We also booked private transfer to and from the resort through our travel agent. Even though transportation was included in our package, paying a little extra for this service made a huge difference to us! All in all, we loved the Royalton Punta Cana, and will definitely return!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Not as expected

Hi, I'm afraid my review of Bahia Principe in Punta Cana is not so great. This was my third time at same resort. I decided to go third time to bring my sister, who has never been anywhere, hoping she would have a wonderful time. I have to say that I was quite disappointed, not for the atmosphere but more regarding the food, hotel cleanliness/attentiveness, and most of the staff there. Hotel room: there was a coffee machine and two mugs but never any coffee or tea for us to make. The day bef [... read more]ore we left, I received a phone call from front desk asking if our stay was good or anything we were not happy about. I told them about there not being any coffee or tea in room. They apologized as I told them we had to bring some coffee and tea bags,suger,etc, from the front lobby. To this, they sent coffee/tea,suger on our last day there. The room floors were not washed or swept once. I almost slipped on the floor as they were greasy and slippery. On the last day, I had finally made myself some tea in my room only to be disgusted by there being a small piece of paper towel in the mug along with smudged lipstick on the inside of mug, yes, on inside of mug. This led me to believe that mugs were not washed properly and had only been wiped down with paper. Bathtub was not washed once during our stay as it was left as is after we had used it each day. The food at buffets were mostly "salads" of different types, which were neither tasty or fresh. The solid food such as snapper, pork, chicken were all dry and seemed saved from day before. Lunch was made up of leftovers from breakfast and dinner was made up of leftovers from lunch. It became obvious to me that cleanliness and hygiene were not practiced at this resort as both my sister and I went home with a stomach infection for which we are now on antibiotics for. Service at buffets from waitstaff was uncaring. All staff was not happy, cheerful, attentive. We felt as if we were bothering them the few times we asked for coffee. Staff always seemed and looked bitter towards guests, no matter if it was at buffets or front lobby or bars. Not very inviting at all. On top of all this, both my sister and I have been bitten by sand mites on the beach. Other guests have also been bitten as well. Because of this, we had only spent three days on the beach and the rest at the pool. Not good for resort not warning people about the sand mites. Other guests thought the bites on their legs were from mosquito bites but then realized they were actually from sand mites. This had caused my sister and I to stop going on the beach. Very disappointing as we specifically took this trip to enjoy the beach. I believe that Covid-19 has really done a number on everyone, but when it comes to the public spending their money and making time to go on vacation to this resort, only to be disappointed and treated rudely was not my idea of a nice vacation. Both my sister and I came home feeling disgusted and disappointed, not to mention ill from stomach infection. This was my third time at this resort. The first two times were before Covid hit and were great. But this third time around after Covid, it was extremely disappointing. I will never go back to this resort as I feel they don't appreciate the public who spends their money on something where they are not cared about and looked after properly. Very disappointing.
