Melia Costa Rey: Great Resort

Rooms were up to date, good and clean, great service and entertainment and great food as well. Highly recommend the a la cartes as well. We would definatley recommend this resort and Cayo Coco. Beach was amazing especially Pillar Beach 30 minutes away....the most stunning beach I've ever seen. Saunas were an added bonus to enjoy in the mornings at this resort. Only negative is that the pool water was very fresh...alittle chilly.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: AMAZING BEACH!!

Keeping in mind the hurricane on Nov/17.. this property was actively working hard to restore their grounds. We found the rooms to be “tired” and our mattress REALLY needed replacement. A Fresh coat of paint would make a world of difference. There seems to be a discord between staff...one department blaming other department. We paid for “Diamond Club “upgrade which included minibar replenish each day which it wasn’t and when inquiring why housekeeping said they ran out of supplies.  [... read more]This went on for 4days while other rooms in our group received replenishes. Would recommend Buildings 2,3,4 top floor Ocean view. As a “Perk”of “Diamond Club” our a la carte dinners were pre booked....but at 5:30 for two and 8:30 for one.....Not our preferred times. We would have preferred to choose our own dinner times and restaurants. The Food.....well it’s CUBA so it was very much lacking flavour. The Diamond Club Beach Bar and Snack Hut were GREAT! The fish was very good. Would we return?...maybe not. Want to try other locations

Hotel Vigia: Great holiday!

Once again we enjoyed a week vacation at this resort. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the musicians who played in the lobby, and dining room. Very talented! Cuban Tuesday was fun. This small resort is so easy to get around for a senior. Hopefully, we will be back again.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Family Fun

This hotel is great for both couples and families. The rooms are updated and modern. The facilities, such as the pools and kids area are amazing. Everything was kept clean and in working order. Many days you will see the manager on site interacting with guests and staff in a very pleasant manner. The entertainment staff work so hard to make sure that guests are having a wonderful time. The only thing that I feel falls a bit short is the food. There could be more variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wait times are and can be quite long at the hot stations such as pizza and pasta. There could also be some improvement in the beach area. This area could be cleaned up quite a lot with the number of rocks. Perhaps raking the area every morning would make it beautified. These would be the only areas that I would say needs to be worked on. This is a resort that my family would for sure go back to. Hotel Playa Coco: We love this place!!!!!

This was our 6th time to this resort and we love it!!! It is a smaller resort and that is what we like about it. We never go hungry, there is always something to eat. All the rooms have been redone, the beds were great to sleep on. The bars are great, never far away from you. :) The beach is beautiful. But the staff is the best reason to come to this resort. Melia Costa Rey: Good Value

We’ve travelled to AI resorts in Mayan, Cancun, Cozumel, Dominican and Jamaica and have cruised several times. We were leary about Cuba but didn’t want to spend a lot on this vacation. We were pleasantly surprised by Pullman Cayo Coco. Dislikes: we had a late checkout but had to leave towels in room then leave a $20 deposit / towel to have a towel for the day, some mornings hard to find a clean table at breakfast buffet, bathroom didn’t seem like it was cleaned very well during the stay, windy all week (not sure if that’s normal or just a bad weather week), pool not heated and was cold. Also just an observation.... majority of guests French Canadian. Overall it was a very good experience.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: EXCELLENT!!!

This resort was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and curtious. Beach was amazing, best beaches in Cuba, so they say and they are so right!!!. The food was very good, lots of variety. Overall, amazing resort! Would definitely return.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Lovely resort

The resort is beautiful and the staff very friendly. It has a well thought layout and everything is within short walking distance. The pools are amazing (not too deep) and the chairs and bali beds confortable. There are activities for all ages and the rooms are spaceous and modern. Some min points are the flyes at the buffet, slow service at times and the sea weed as you enter the beach area. The beach is beautiful and there are palapas and plenty of lounge chairs. We would definately go back but would first check the condition of the facilities before doing so. A month into the opening and the pillows on the lounge chairs at the pool were getting dirty and we found scratches on the room furniture and stains on the walls. A matter of cleaning and being kind to the rooms but at this rate the resort might lose its vharm within the year. All in all a great holiday at Grand Muthu!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful and Amazing Resort

Let me start by saying I have been to alot of caribbean places and by far this was the best ive had. Beach was amazing. Our room was beautiful with a great view of the ocean with cruise ships passing bye. We never went hungry. There was always something to eat. Is it the best food ive ever had No! Great Resort. Large but it did seem too crowded. At times the restaurants and bars ran out of certain items from time to time , but that is how it is in Cuba.We would go back again. we might look for an adults only resort.

This hotel is awesome! We have been at this resort now 5 times and we love it. The service, rooms, pool, beach, a la cartes are great. The staff are very friendly. I look forward to my next visit at this resort. This is the best adult resort in Cayo Coco!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Overall a good resort

Hotel was very clean and most of the staff were incredibly friendly. The a la carte dinners were fairly enjoyable however 90% of the buffet food was terrible. The grounds were in good shape considering how soon we visited after the hurricane. The pools were clean and the beach was beautiful. We always had something to do and they had amazing entertainment. Overall a good experience.

Annie, Lindy(sorry maybe spelling wrong) and Rambo, excellent staff, an asset to have them. Very clean resort. Need to work on the drinks a little more. Great holiday would go back but like beach. Pool was lovely

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice resort on the decline

It was probably nice at one time but it is not being maintained due to lack of parts and resources. For example, no handle on patio door , safe and fridge don't work. The food was very bland and always the same every day. Havanatur were always late. One excursion was cancelled and we were never notified.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Amazing Resort

The hotel was only open for 3 weeks when we were there and the staff worked hard at keeping it clean and making us feel at home. We found it very windy which made it more comfortable in the hot sun but cool in the evenings when the sun went down. The beach area was nice but as everyone has said the seaweed made it challenging to keep the beaches clean. The water front area was very rocky to the left of the resort for walking only but had to be very careful and sandy to the right with huts for shade. It was a very relaxing holiday.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Resort

Melia Jardines Del Rey was a great resort. Customer service was top notch. Lots of restaurants to choose from and the beach, nothing beats the Cuban beaches Definitely a return resort. The rooms are clean and housekeeping does a great job. There is still some repairs to do after the hurricane but nothing that interferes with your vacation.

Sol Cayo Coco: A Great Place To Vacation!

Couple in our 60's wanting a relaxing beach holiday. Got it! Resort is small and easy to navigate, everything central, well laid out. Check in was quick. ROOM: Gardenview, clean, everything worked, bed was comfortable, fabulous view of the ocean from our room because there were no longer any trees to block the view due to hurricane. Take a facecloth, hair conditioner and body lotion if needed. They provided shower gel, shampoo and bar soap. Paid 2 CUC per night for the safe. Key card was inse [... read more]rted to turn on lights and air when you were in the room, also for the safe. FOOD: Both a la cartes were very good (Italian and International). Buffet had enough choices and cook station options. There were snack bars at the pool and beach. Good food there too. You will not go hungry.Midnight snacks are at the lobby bar. ENTERTAINMENT: Every night mostly in the lobby until the theater is rebuilt. Dancers have all been classically trained, singers excellent. BEACH: Two of them! Lots of chairs on the bigger beach and we always found somewhere to sit no matter when we went down. The smaller beach to the left had chairs taken early. Excellent beach for entry to the water and for endless walking. When it is really windy it can get rough. We had 4 or 7 days red flagged! SIGHTSEEING: For 5 CUC per person we took the hop on hop off double decker bus that stopped at every resort as well as the craft market and ended at Playa Pilar, which the Air Canada rep said was the most beautiful beach. NOT! But it is worth going and seeing everything. We also got off at Sol Cayo Guillermo, walked around the beach and resort. On the bus we found out we could have gotten a lunch ticket to eat at Guillermo and could have stayed at that beach for the day which was also beautiful. STAFF: Wonderful, always smiling and extra helpful if we ran into a problem. Would I come back? Yes!

I stayed at the resort from March 18. 2018. Lovely hotel, swimming pools, weather great 25-30 degrees. Not much in a way of shade as newly planted palm trees too small not providing any shade. Offered four umbrellas not enough for all the lounge chairs. Too bad so many umbrellas were standing useless in the court yard were no one ever sat during a day since everyone was at the beach or swimming pool! Too big and heavy to carry to pool area. Few a la carte restaurants offered excellent food, especially Italian. Buffet offered cool not hot meals,mediocre, lacking spices food. Oatmeal offered twice in a week was lumpy, distasteful, no cocao offered. Soups except one cream of pumpkin inedible! mushed patatoes very watery, French fries cold every day. Lack of heating plates to keep food warm for the time being. A lot of food missing tags so hard to figure what food is what. Very bad tasting cakes three times a day. Able to actually enjoy very few in a week maybe 3 only! Tea poured lukewarm, really bad quality. First day I was lucky and waiter offered English breakfast tea and that was great!. Orange juice in AM fake, terrible. Servers in buffet quick to clear tables but not that fast if one needs something. Luckily cappuccino and pina colada in a bar made up for all those bad teas and coffees at buffet! Great grilled sandwiches in a 24 hr bar helped a lot to servive the stay.

Amazing beach. Staff were great. Everyone tried so hard to make it a perfect vacation. We loved it. The beach is beautiful. The rooms are very generous in size. The only complaint is really with guests that hold beach and pool chairs and don’t use them for most of the day. No different than many resorts but very disappointing
