Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: awesome resort!

This resort was amazing. The grounds were very beautiful and maintained pristinely. ALL the washrooms in the resort were cleaned continuously and were never in a mess. Never out of paper and toilets always flushed, even the beach bathroom was kept well. Always loungers at the pool and beach. No saving of loungers at pool allowed before 9:00 am and security actually removes items unattended. Staff were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Our room was cleaned at least 3 times a day [... read more] so never out of clean towels and minibar always stocked. The only down thing was the time share promoters. 2 in our party of 6 felt that they were harassed by the timeshare workers and finally went to the front desk to get them to stop calling them.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great place

It very clean and the food is amazing the staff makes you feel like family. The water pressure is not the best but it still good to have showers in. The beach is beautiful one of the nices I have ever seen. I hope to go back in a couple of year I love it there

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: simply fabulous!

We were a family of four adults and therefore booked two rooms, one with a king bed and one with two doubles. The rooms were large and bright and very comfortable. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful and wonderful! The food was plentiful and fresh and there was always something different to try. All tastes were catered to. The beaches were glorious!

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Playa Mita Perfecto

This was a perfect resort. We enjoyed every minute of time spent here. The pools were clean and wonderful. The Iberostar friends and two of the chefs made the difference for us. I will never forget the fun times we had with the Animacion friends, particularly with the dancing instruction. I will remember Mario,Marco, Aly,Nancy,Edwardo.Alex and Ruby for the rest of my life. Iberostar Origin Tainos: Absolutely amazing

Everything was great, the resort was clean and beautiful the staff were very helpful and organised. They had activities going on everyday. Great place to bring a family, there was always something to do. The beach was absolutly amazing literally a one minute walk from our room. food was good also

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Amazing Resort

Not happy re: booking the dinners in the evening.. I go to book the first day and they tell me they are full to come back.. came back to desk 3 to 4 times! I did not know that people where booking them on line and when you went to eat the place was not full I don' t get it

the Iberostar Grand prides itself on customer service. the areas are always kept clean with staff constantly looking for things out of place. after 12 years and the salty air takes its toll on the infrastructure so in parts the hotel needs some work which is in the works. A new menu in the specialty restaurants has changed things up a bit but they are all top quality with a fine selection of food and wine. Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: 2nd time in Cuba might be the last time.....

I had booked this 5 star hotel wanting a GREAT vacation by spending Christmas in the sand instead of snow. This hotel promised all the amenities of a 5 star resort BUT no one mentioned how vast the property was and if you were booked in "The Village" all adults, in order to get to the main lobby, main restaurant, Spa etc you had to call for a golf cart to come pick u up. Who wants to be waiting to be driven back and forth to your villa. Once we realized where we were on the resort, I asked to [... read more] be moved to "Duplexs" , still adult only but closer to the main part of the resort. The resort accommodated my request and we moved by the second day. Without any reduction in the price that I paid for the most expensive room. People who book here need to know there are no rooms with sea views. In order to get to the beach it is after least a 10 minutes walk. All rooms face bushes. The staff were very accommodating and tips go along way. Almost all staff were courteous and eager to please. Being a 5 star resort I would have expected more for the taste of food. I know what to expect with Cuban flair but this trip was disappointing. They have a la cart restaurants, stay far away from the Italian restaurant. Even the waiters in the buffet restaurant told us not to go there. IF you are ok with no beach views, ok with a lot of walking and ok with being shuttled by golf carts then this place should suit you fine. I must say for the first 3 days my husband and I had a entire beach to ourselves in the village section, I believe that was paradise. I did start experiencing stomach troubles on Sunday 25th, write flew home on the 27th and today the 29th, I am still feeling stomach problems. Paradise beach and great weather made the trip. Hubby and I think sadly this will be our last to trip to Cuba and we will venture back to Jamaica. Jamaica has the food, culture and rooms at or near the beach (Negril) that will make feel we got our monies worth. Bye bye Cuba :(

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Nice, yet, Disappointing!

The front of the hotel, especially the check -in main area need immediate renovations. Some work was being done at the time of our stay. Lots of noise all days long!!! The second half of the hotel ( close to the beach) is very nice and renovated.The beach itself is beautiful...loved my long walks every day. I upgraded our room to Romantic Room, but there was nothing romantic about it, except bottle of champagne in the room. The shower head didn't worked on our arrival, so to get replacement, w [... read more]e had to wait day and half! Also, we had to ask multiple times to get towels changed in our room. The fridge in our room was filled only every second day, which included 2 cans of beer only and 2 waters! Wow!!!! I have been to Cuba 5 times, but this one was most disappointing! This was a very special trip to celebrate my 50th Birthday, but I am very disappointed in the whole experience.I wish we went to a different hotel. I would never go to Iberostar Playa Alameda again!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Worst vacation ever

This was our first time in Cuba and I don't think we will ever go back again. The resort was filthy the front desk was rude our room smelled like mildew and our room had mildew and sheets had stains and many other issues and we were in the new renevated building. So disappointed. I can't even tell you all the issues. Pool deck dirty no clean towels you have to wait 4-5 days sometimes longer just awful expierence.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Enjoyable

This is our third stay at an Iberostar resort and we are happy to say that we were not disappointed. We had a minor hiccup with our room cleaning, the Staff was quick to correct the problem and our chambermaid was very apologetic. Overall, the service Staff was excellent...we would like to thank our concierge, Tatiana, for all of her assistance. She is very pleasant and helpful. During the day, the Lindo pool had plenty of activities. The beach was excellent as well.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Great Vacation!

Recently honeymooned here. In Cuba, this is considered a 5 star resort - but would not be comparable to a 5 star resort here in Canada. Fairly clean, grounds are well kept, staff go above and beyond. Beach is gorgeous. Would go back again!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Nice resort

Beautiful beach. Room was nice, nothing extravagant. Paid for ocean room but no ocean seen! Front desk agreed it was deceptive when we brought it to their attention. They did nothing to compensate...maybe a simple bottle of champagne would of been better than nothing. Food was excellent as was the staff around the whole resort. Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Good experience

The beach was bad because Dominicain Republic had floods the week before. There were many waves and you could not see ocean floor. Food was good! I enjoyed the japonese restaurant the best because it was very entertaining.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: So fun!!

The rooms are average, smell musty, and a little damp, but for the amount of time you spend in your room it's livable. The grounds are kept very clean. The food is 8/10. The steakhouse is amazing! One of the best steaks I have ever had, and I'm a huge foodie.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Amazing Resort and service

Our vacation was amazing from the minute we arrived. So thrilled to have received an upgrade to an "ocean view room" for our anniversary week. The service was wonderful, the staff very friendly and the hotel and all amenities were spotlessly clean and well maintained. My husband really enjoyed his 2 golf games that were included. Definitely a 5 star resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great resort

This hotel has beautiful grounds and is kept very clean. The employees are knowledgeable and very friendly. Very good choices in food and decent room. Would definitely return. Plenty of lounge chairs both at the pools and the ocean.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: One of my best so far!

My cousin and I booked this resort last minute and ao glad we did. The staff are great, the rooms were very comfortable and the food was on point! I would definitely return ....met some really awesome people as well

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Solid 4 Star

Mother/daughter vacation. Airport arrival very smooth and quick. Comfortable air conditioned bus to the resort. Probably took an hour because we stopped at a few hotels before ours but not a problem. Check in was very fast. Front desk staff were always very helpful and quick. Room was very nice. Cleaning staff did a very good job. Excellent towel art! Lots of fish in the water right off the shore. Plenty of shade. Took Catamaran from resort out to reef for $20 CUC for a couple of hours. Very worth it. Food at resort was very good. Lots of variety. A la carte restaurants were the best yet. Specially the mexican and cuban. Ate off resort one night at Ranchon Cuba Libre. Just along the beach west of the hotel. $25 CUC for lobster dinner. EXCELLENT. $10 CUC for 1 hour horseback riding with Juan Carlos. Very good. $5 CUC for bus to Playa Pilar. Beach about 10 minutes away. Very beautiful and worth the adventure. I would definitely recommend the Daiquiri!!!!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: 4 star at best

4 star resort with some 5 star staff. resort starting to show some age. average pool and beach above average food average rooms but beware you get what you paid for before unpacking as the large groups push couples and singles away from ocean, pool and restaurants. resort adds locals and cruise ship traffic to boost numbers during slower periods. watch for big "time share" push.
