Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: not a 5 star

6 of us went in October 2023 and the grounds were nice and the pools were clean. The rooms were not as promised in the website. There was no coffee maker in the room there was no soda or beer in the fridge either. Our room didn't even have a dresser to put our clothes in so we lived out of our suitcases all week which was very disappointing. The shower head holder was pointed at the opposite wall and spayed water all over the place. The food was good (what there was of it) we were told they were at 1/3 capacity so all 300ish people were eating at this super small buffet that turned into an a la carte at night with 3 options to choose from. They ran out of cola OFTEN as well. The staff was very friendly. If you go to the Japanese restaurant I hope you get Raphael as your chef he was amazing and the food was great!! I am not sure that we would go back to this resort.

Starfish Jibacoa: Amazing

Love this resort,been there 26 times,staff is wonderful.people are friendly.love the bungalows.lots to eat and drink,its like our own little village.but need to do some upgrades on the rooms inside.my only complaint is that there is a lot of garbage in areas.

Resonance Blu Santa Maria: I am done with Cuba!

We returned to this resort because of the great time we had here in april of this year. What a change this visit was. One restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch, with no live grilling stations. So no omelets or fried eggs for breakfast and no fresh fried fish at lunch. Sometimes no air conditioning on, with open windows and thus an abundance of flies. The ala carte restaurant for dinner with no reservations just show up and hope to not wait long. Shortages of coffee, eggs etc at time [... read more]s but the worst was when the water pump broke....I went to get my first morning coffee and was told no coffee because no water....this was my last straw for the Starfish. We asked to be moved and were! By late afternoon still no water and I don't know when they got it fixed. Thanks to my Holasun rep. that quickly acted on our behalf to fix our holiday.

Playa Pesquero: This hotel is lives up to its 3 stars.

Nadejda,Valeri. We were on the otel Playa Pesquero for the second time this year: in April and October. Thanks to everyone from the reception of the area to the gardeners. The people work great. Beautiful beach, wonderful ocean. One thing was upsetting: the food was 10 times worse than in April. There was no fresh food vegetables and fruits / except papaya /, everything is pickled. The food is not 4 stars, but 2 stars. I like the hotel itself, but I’m not sure that I’ll want to come again.

Hotel Rancho Luna: I’ve been a regular visitor for the past ten years and visitt twice per year

The hotel is clean but dated. Minor improvements (paint) no significant changes. One concern I have is that the majority local guest, although very pleasant. It seems they have preference over international guests because they communicate in Latin with the hotel staff better .I.e restaurant The one thing I would change is the pool MC just entertains loud games on speakers at a time when most guest go back to the room to take a nap before dinner

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Very nice resort for the price

Our stay there for two weeks was excellent! The landscaping (a lots of trees and green gras), beach, and restaurants are very close to the beach, also pull bar. Food had variety and very good for the 3 star I ate ice-cream 2 times a day and did not lose any weight instead gain some People are very friendly, . Alcohol beside Cuban Rum and bear, whisky, gin, votka, Napoleon brandy etc. Cuba is a country with sanction for more than 50 years, now is fuel problem! Pepi & Persa

Melia Cayo Coco: Relaxing Resort

Rooms are a bit dated but very clean,the gardens are kept beautiful by the none stop gardeners. The beach is fantastic and great to walk on, all the staff are so friendly and attentive to all your needs,they go all out to make sure you enjoy your vacation. The bars are well stocked and have very well trained staff. Food is like all resorts, good variety, something for everyone but don’t be fussy, great service from the staff.

Hotel Mojito: Ghost of its former self

Although a lot staff has changed we still feel like home when we are at the Mojito. Great to see some of the older staff. They make it worth while. The newer staff however, needs more training in hospitality and English. Food & drinks are limited as it is in the rest of Cuba. Beautiful weather & beach made for a great vacation.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Grand Aston Review

Hotel room was a good size with some must haves that are sometimes lacking at other Cuban resorts- lots of hot water, good water pressure in the shower, coffee machine, good air conditioning, bar fridge, iron and board, scale. Beach and water outstanding. Service at Tex Max restaurant was very slow the night we were there- only opportunity we found. Italian restaurant was excellent. Lots of staff and all were very very friendly!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice resort

The hotel itself is nice. Our room had no hot water. Constantly running out of Pop ! No pop or beer in our room. Only 1 day when we mentioned it to the manager. Because the resort wasn't up to capacity the main buffet was closed. The buffet they used was small. Not much fresh fruit or veggies. The Japanese Ala carter was awesome. They do cater to those who are celiac. You just have to let them know!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Pleasant Trip - Oct 23

Value for price - very good! The resort is easy to navigate, clean and well kept. The people were amazing, always going the extra mile to help and with a smile. The rooms a little tired but very clean and the beds comfortable. Water pressure in the sink low, but the shower was good. The beach - great!!!! The pool, very nice and cleaned daily. Always a lot of food but there are shortages, i.e. limes and sometimes cola. The buffet had a reasonable variety of pork, chicken and fish a [... read more]long with salads, lots of cheeses and breads and pasta. The snack bar had sandwiches, fries and pizza - all good. Again, very good for the price. Piano Bar - GREAT! They make a wonderful cappuccino in the morning and lots of fun in the evening. The ala carte restaurants need a little help with their menu but the staff very good. Would recommend the Italian. When we were there the resort was no more than half full so we always had our choice of lounges at the pool or the beach. This is a resort where you can have a good time, learn the salsa, pool dancing, beach games or just relax.

Memories Cayo Largo: Cayo Largo 2023

The hotel is a bit dated, but it is clean and small enough to be able to access the beach or pool which ever you choose. We had 3 days on the beach which is the best part of this resort, the ocean was clear blue and warm enough to just walk in a float around for hours. The selection of food was lacking but we didn't go hungry and the service was excellent both at the restaurants and bars. Iberostar Selection Varadero: Fantastic Family Friendly Resort in Cuba!

This was our third time in VARADERO and 1st time at this resort and we are incredibly pleased! The amenities, the staff, rooms and food were all perfect and to our satisfaction. It’s true, you pay for what you get! The biggest impression was from the towel bar, the staff there remembered our names the very last day and we had not mentioned them after our 1st encounter on the 1st day! To me that speaks volumes! Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Relaxing Vacation at a 3* - Oct 17 - 25, 2023

The hotel was what we expected for Cuba and for the price it was a good deal (under $1,300 for 2) Overall, needs some TLC. Room: Clean, hot water and good water pressure. Damp but expected during the rainy months. Fridge did not get filled except for a water bottle. No robe as stated on website (not a big deal). Public bathrooms: Clean but no toilet paper ever (bring your own) Lobby: Not grand, very small and underwhelming. Buffet: Only had buffet for breakfast. Lunch was al a carte and dinner required reservations or walk over to Grand Memories for buffet. Snacks: only saw pizza and chicken sandwiches at the beach and at the pool. Pool: Clean, nice that we had the choice of two pools - one with the pool bar and one without. Music was loud and mostly played hard rock music. Beach: Beautiful Food: We didn't starve. Not a lot of variety but we found something each day at Grand Memories buffet (fresh grilled chicken, pork and fish - no beef). Ran out of eggs a couple of times. Fruit was limited. Drinks: White wine was good. Ran out of beer a couple of days. Spanish coffee at the lobby - very good. Mixed drinks were very sweet and they only had diet coke. Lots of bottled water available. People: Everyone was very friendly we had no issues. Please remember the gardeners they work so hard and get no tips or gifts. I would recommend the Sanctuary if you are getting a good deal and know what to expect when travelling to Cuba. From what I saw it is in much better shape then the Grand Memories except for the buffet. Bus ride from airport to hotel is almost 2 hours (something to consider) and for that reason would probably not return....makes for a very long day.

Melia Las Americas: Great Resort

We enjoyed our Stay at Melia Las Americas. Food is excellent, service is really good and rooms are very clean. We were upgraded to their Level Area which includes a private pool, beach, bar & breakfast. A la Carte restaurants are excellent and we enjoyed them except for one. For Golfers - this is a great resort walking distance to the golf course. We suggest booking your tee times ahead of time - Golf course has a great layout & has it’s own challenges. Playa Pesquero: Beautiful resort

Smooth check in, wonderful and helpful staff, amazing beach and pool, considering the time of year the weather was wonderful and lots of food options at the buffet and restaurants. So much to see and do in 7 days, rooms were clean and spacious. Would go back again.

Melia Jardines del Rey: 7th trip there.

Ok, so the beach was fabulous as always, and the pool is sparkling clean again, pool bar staff as always fantastic as was beach bar. Some hiccups with the food but manageable. Groundskeepers continue to do a great job and the room was fine. Most of the staff were great but there are a couple of attitude issues that management should address. Lobby bar and 24/7. Just saying. Will I go back? Maybe, might try the neighbor.
