Melia Las Antillas: Amazing resort !
Hotel was amazing, little damaged after hurricane but stuff really friendly, pictures on the website are probably made it 15 years ago, but overall still we had a very very good time. I'll recommend!
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Pleased/Not Great
Royal Service not so royal. Pool lovely but very small. Food very good. Royal beach, a lot of seaweed. Butler service non-existent. Outdoor patio not enough table and chairs. Too few available pool chairs.
Melia Marina Varadero: Not a 5 star
This hotel is not a 5-star hotel at all. They kept running out of food. They would have a variety of options on the menu we go order 1 hour into serving breakfast or lunch they have already run out. All pork no considerations for nonpork eaters. If you are young DO NOT STAY HERE. My husband and I are mid 30's and were bored out of our minds. Nothing to do. They have an on-site disco but drinks are not included not to mention the disco is dead due to the clientele for the hotel are all over [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great resort
Beach was amazing. There is a very small section full of rocks in the water, but the rest is completely sand. Very clean beach as well. Avoid buffet at all costs. It's absolutely horrible food. I would feel bad feeding my dog with it. Cold pizza very crunchy under cooked rice, poor choices all around tried a little of everything and never wanted to go back. Had the same problem with restaraunts serving undercooked rice as well. Rock house is an amazing alternative it's open 24/7 and the food is [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Nice Resort
Aging building but kept clean and nice location. Too bad Wifi is not included. Providing Wifi shall become the norm. Adjust the price and standardize it in all hotels. Avoid silly line ups for the basic services.
Melia Marina Varadero: Decent Resort
The resort was visually a 5 star. However, service lacked during our visit due to a convention being there at the same time, resulting in the hotel being at capacity. Normally the service would be adequate as all employees were observed to be working very hard to keep up with the pase. There were some stains on the bedroom walls and towels but simply asking politely solved these concerns. The food was nothing to complain about and for the most part was edible. The hotel had live entertainment ev [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Staff at Sol Palmeras
My stay at Sol Palmeras 2 weeks ago was absolutely amazing! The staff are wonderful, caring people that make you feel so special. The food is very good and the Buffet Restaurant is beautiful...the renovation was completed by the time I arrived. I was lucky enough to meet a lovely lady who has been to Sol Palmeras over 20 times in the last 10 years...it was plain to see that everyone considers herâ€family†. I would like to thank Maria for her kindness and professionalism... you are a wonderf [... read more]
Melia Varadero: Beautiful resort!
The Hotel is surprisingly in good shape after Irma. There is some damage to the balconies which are currently being fixed. What I love at this hotel is the proximity of everything, beach, restaurants, pool. The staff is extremely friendly! What I found is missing is some entertainment at piano bar located outside. There was no music at night in that area.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: great resort for the price
Very very friendly and accommodating staff. Room was clean. Had to unplug the fridge because it clunked through the night and woke us up. No big deal we just plugged it back in in the morning. Only one store to shop at for all your needs. Do it there because airport shopping is slim pickins. Food options are plentiful but quality not the same as other countries as most people comment in reviews for Cuba. Beach is amazing.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing
Hotel rooms clean, large and updated. The bathroom was modern with large shower. The grounds were well kept. The swim up bar pool was a little dirty at times. Staff very friendly and helpful. They need fans in the lobby area because it gets unbearable in there. Food very good. No problem getting sun beds around the pool.
Melia Varadero: clean resort
The check in was fast. they had five elevators, but only 3 were operating for our 5 day stay. the Lobby was clean. Lots of seating on the main floor. The lobby bar has the best drinks and bartenders. The room was spacious with decent decor. Nice view of the sea. Rooms are close to elevators too. The Buffet food was okay, good restaurant service. The towel service was quick. Enough lawn chairs outside to lounge. Great music throughout the resort. They were repairing and painting a large portion o [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: The devil is in the detail...
...and many details in my opinion were missed on this resort. Now I will begin by saying that the staff in the buffet and serving stations were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The beachfront was incredible and chairs with shade could always be found. The food though limited in choice, was fresh and well prepared. What affected the enjoyment of the is resort were the many small and large details I believe were missed. I can say that there was value for what we paid and only bec [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: In need of major maintenance and repair !
If it wasn't for the great staff and beach area I would never even think about going to this place. Two elevators and none of them working. I was staying on the fifth floor and it was a terrible pain going up five flights of stairs at least four to five times a day ! This is not acceptable for a 4/12 stars hotel, especially when I saw a dead cockroach in the same area for three days ! Moldings in the room are barely hanging on and let's just say that the shower was not much of a shower when the [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing Staff, Resort in need of maintenance.
Stayed for a week, first night a true nightmare as the AC didn`t work properly. After several visits from the maintenance crew and no improvements, we were finally transferred to another luxury suite. Totally blasted though with our last night at the Royal Service section of the Resort. What a stunning room with ocean view and a superb bathroom area. The REAL Gem here though is their staff, kudos to my fellow Cubans! ps. As soon as the absurd regulations that prevent Cuban Nationals (even with [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Good choice
Good choice for a relaxing getaway! The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty and fresh. The beach was really clean and secure. I hope that everyone can go and visit this beautiful piece of Cuba.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice vacation
We had a great time in Varadero. This was about two weeks after the hurricane. Despite this, everyone was so nice, the food was good in the buffets, but the a la carte restaurants were excellent especially the Japanese. The facilities were nice too, except the smell in the bedrooms. It was a mold smell that never went away. I guess it was the humidity, but for me, it was really difficult to fall asleep because the smell was intense and sheets in the bed felt damp. Everything was very clean [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very good resort
I just returned back from 1 week stay at Paradisus Varadero it was our first time after 10 years not going to Cuba. We were nicely suprised what we got for the money we paid.Food is good I would even say better than in Punta Cana, resort is older but kept in good shape, rooms are big and clean, grounds and beach also very nice.Staff very friendly.I would definitely go back over there
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautiful resort!
The Paradisus was overall the best resort of the many we have stayed at in Cuba. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and extremely clean. The grounds were very well-maintained and beautifully landscaped. The beach was a bit rocky at entry but soon became white sand and aqua blue water with coral reef here and there making it perfect for shore snorkeling. The pool meandered over a large area and was always clean. The food Cuban was not what most Canadians would praise, but we didn't st [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: Wonderful vacation 😎
Just got back from a relaxing trip in Cayo Largo. This was my third time at the Sol Cayo Largo. I traveled with my friend. Upon arrival we got very good adjoining oceanview rooms. The view from our balcony was amazing. The white sand beaches and turquoise water around the island are breathtaking. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional. I will certainly be back again.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Wish we could have gone here.
We love this resort. Its our favorite of all of Cuba destinations. Unfortunately , we were not permitted to go to this resort due to the hurricane. We ended up at a different Melia in Holguin. Hopefully, we will be able to come back to this fine resort as it is top notch to us and the service , food, beach, staff etc are amazing ! We look forward to coming to this Melia resort in the near future.
