Catalonia Montego Bay: HOILDAY INC RESORT

I just came back from my Vacation in Jamaica Holiday INC RESORT. The resort is not worth going to, the food was okay. the Pool was amazing Beach, and the Jerk Bar was good. The services for our room were horrible NO Mine Fridge, there is no clock in the room to see the time. When house cleaners clean your room never leave towels she says would that the towels are finished, and I have to call guest service for towels. The  [... read more]House cleaner doesn't change your bedding on your bed so you have to use the bed sheet for 7 days staying at the resort. I wouldn't recommend this Resort to anyone. You better off paying a little more money and staying at a decent Resort. August 11, 2023

Catalonia Montego Bay: Poor Resort!!

This resort is very poorly run! Food options at the buffet are bad, the staff as a whole are not friendly and seem like they being bothered when asking for anything. Check in is very slow. They didn’t offer drinks that other resorts on the island offer. The grounds are kept clean. The pool is big, the beach is nice. The entertainment was good. When someone from my party asked the lifeguard for some ointment for a sunburn, she was told that there is no first aid kit. The rooms are very dated. The balcony door is very hard to open/close. 1 of the elevators is very slow and the door seems to have a hard time opening at times will only open about an inch. Will not be staying at this resort again, my family travels to the island for our yearly vacation.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Nice resort

Beautiful beach!!!!! Food was an 8/10 I really enjoyed the Jamaican al la carte restaurant. Jerk bar was lit!!! Service was ok, long wait time in line for check in. By time I got my room I was exhausted from standing in the heat for so long. Hot water in my room didn’t work all the time, had to shower in lukewarm water. In my opinion, entertainment wasn’t the best. But this was a more relaxation trip than for entertainment.

Holiday Inn Resort Grand Cayman: Great peaceful hotel

This was our first trip to the Cayman Islands and it eas definitely a memorable one. The Hotel is a very nice, well maintained building, with a lovely dock on the beach that is perfect for watching the sun set or rise. The landscaping is always maintained, leaving the look of the grounds beautiful. There is an area on the grounds thay has an abundance of beautiful trees with comfy chairs to lounge in the shade. Worth the visit.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Exceptionnel

It was a great trip despite the unorganized arrival at Montego Bay airport. Our air transat rep went aboveboard to make sure we were satisfied thx Daly. The staff at the Holiday Inn were great and respectful. We will recommend this place to others.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Lovely resort

The hotel is nice and clean. Some of the rooms are newly renovated. Pools are very clean and the property is well kept. The view surrounding the beach is beautiful. However, it would be much nicer without the seaweeds. Some of the staff are very friendly.

Everything that you want and need out of a resort. It was clean, great pool and ocean and was family friendly. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. Would recommend to anyone headed to Montego Bay.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great Resort

We enjoyed a wonderful stay for 1 week at this Resort. Stayed in Building #1 on the 3rd floor with partial Ocean view which we enjoyed morning tea and coffee on the Balcony . Our maid Latoya did a wonderful job in looking after our room and any additional things we asked. The grounds were clean and very nice. The workers work very hard on this Resort. Certainly would come again and stay longer.

Rooms are clean, staff very nice, food was good and lots to choose from. Common areas nice, relaxed atmosphere throughout resort. Good value for money its a older resort however well maintained. I felt safe staying here. I would definitely stay again!

This hotel has great food, great service, clean rooms, new comfortable mattresses, amazing views and beach. You will not be disappointed if you want a great relaxing vacation with great weather, drinks and people!

Catalonia Montego Bay: Outdated and it shows

The only two good things I can say about this resort are that it had a pretty ok beach and the food was not the worst I have ever had at an all inclusive. The pool, entertainment, tennis court, mini golf, service and rooms were horrible. I would not go back to this resort.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Great vacation

This hotel is an older hotel. It was perfect for the type of vacation we were on. It is for all types of travellers, I never felt crowded. We always had a nice place to hang out and never fought for beach chairs. The food was OK but we did not make it to the à la carte restaurants, heard they were good. Close to the grocery, pharmacy and bank. Management was great, service is good, better with tips. Would go back for another trip here someday.

Catalonia Montego Bay: Good time with some glitches

Just got back from the Holiday Inn I Montego Bay in Jamaica. Nice place, great for families. Beaches are nice, but Water is very shallow, not great if you like to swim. Food is good, always something to eat at different locations on the resort. Check in was very slow and an awful experience. Many people very unhappy at check-in! Rooms were very clean, we were in room 3203, air conditioner was really loud, had to use ear plugs to sleep. All in all a good experience

Holiday Inn at Universal: Problems and issues at the Hotel.

Other than the fact that the Hotel was close to Universal Studios and the beds were comfortable, we had some unfortunate issues with this Hotel. 1. Beds were not made every day 2. Towels were not changed every day. 3. The room was very dry and musty, so much so that my son developed stuffy nose problems and breathing difficulties. 4. The hall carpets smelled of mildew. 5. The fitness Center was very cold and only consisted of 2 or 3 pieces of elliptical machines and no free weights. 6. On [... read more]ly one elevator was working. 7. No one was answering the phone, when we called the front desk, so we had to go down in person when there was an issue. But the staff was friendly, and did accommodate when asked for towels to be changed and beds to be made. I have read the Hotel tries to address problems that have come up. but in looking over the reviews within the last year I see that some issues have never been dealt with as I have mentioned above. For nearly a year the elevators still have not been fixed, and the carpet still smells like mildew and I don't think has ever been cleaned. Although I have seen other Holiday Inn Hotels that are much better, I would not return to this particular location at Caravan Ct. in Florida and would rate it a 5 out of 10.

Hotel room was clean and service was excellent. First time booked through trip central and will do it again soon. Thank you. Really? I will recommend this to my friends for sure. Trip central is the best value you could get

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly The rooms aren’t fancy but very clean The beds were very comfortable as were the pillows slept great. Pool was warm and lots of loungers plus a little pool bar and an on-site restaurant for late night snacks. Lots of food options within walking distance

It's a beautiful resort, very clean; you can access the beach from so many different areas of the hotel. Easy shuttles to Margaritaville and airport. The drinks were great. The food was not very good very bland, not much variety.

This resort was way better than expected! The people working there were so nice and friendly to me and my girl friend. The drinks were amazing! Food was pretty good too. We loved the hut that served burgers & fries. We were mostly worried about the cleanliness of the rooms because of some of the reviews. But everyday our room was cleaned up nice with fresh towels. Catalonia Montego Bay: Five star staff!!

The resort was wonderful.We got a pool/ocean view on the third floor in building one.Thete was a coffee maker a t that worked great air worked great but no fridge.Safe is included as well.Food was good.Omelet girls were fantastic.We went to all the alacarte restaurants and didn't like the Jamaican one.The Japan was the best but we paid for it. Catalonia Montego Bay: Great resort

This resort while yes it is older, it is cosier and friendlier than the the big boxy hotels. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is gradually being renovated and the rooms that are finished are great. We had an ocean front room in building 5 and it was perfect. Two large comfortable beds, plenty of towels and water daily. The fridge was great and the air conditioning worked quietly and efficiently.The room was cleaned every day. Plenty of choices for food and while everything wasn’t to our taste there was always plenty to choose from. The beach is cleaned every day and there are plenty of lounges. Snorkelling was great and the water was so warm you could swim all day. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and perfectly maintained. Masks were mandatory in the restaurants and when getting food from the buffet. The staff all wore masks and were constantly sanitizing public areas. We would go back to this resort anytime.
