Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Pretty Good

Hotel room was nice, location very good, staff good and beach quite nice. Food was sub par for a 4 or 5 star hotel, especially at buffet and Italian restaurant. At the coffee shop the bakery food didn't taste very fresh at all. Better cookies at a Hampton Inn. Too many pool chair hogs as well. Staff should monitor that much better. All in all nice place but they could easily be better with better food choices and better beach chair monitoring.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Amazon resort

Great resort food was amazing and very clean. They had some conference at the time we where there but I think it helped cause the restaurants aren't very busy. Would go back for sure. The French and Italian restaurants where my favorite.

Just back from 10 day vacation - the 2nd time at this resort. It has a great location - on the beach but can still walk into town. San Jose is such a cute little place with funky shops and some nice restaurants. The best part of this hotel is their staff. The staff are super nice and are always happy to help. Most of the rooms in the hotel have an ocean view. Although the ocean isn't really swimmable, its long and lovely to walk on. There's lots of pools with one specifically for kid's, a [... read more] couple of family pools (although one isn't heated) and an adults pool which is where we spent most of our time. It was pretty busy when we arrived (just after New Years) so one had to get up early in order to save a chair. That lasted for about a week and then things got back to normal. The hotel could stand to do some updating on their rooms. Although comfortable and always clean, they are starting to get outdated. They have the best breakfast buffet of all of the resorts we've visited however, the rest of the meals were really just average (sometimes less), including the a la carte restaurants. Wouldn't have taken much for them to tweak the meals to make them more of a 5 star rating.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Treated Us Like Family

The hotel had splendid views to the ocean and the property was well maintained by staff. The food at the restaurants were of high quality and the alcoholic beverages were made with brand name liquor. The servers were attentive and pleasant, everyone at the resort was nice and welcoming. The staff treated us like family, and did not push us for tips. The pool closer to the ocean was heated, while the larger pool was rather cold, but there was enough space to swim around. They treated us like royalty. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

From our arrival everything was perfect. Offered cold cerveza's upon arrival. Our Room was spectacular, a Master King Ocean View room on the third floor, overlooking the main pool, and ocean. The sound of the waves were amazing. We tried all restaurants while we were there, the food in each and every one was beyond all expectations. Hyatt Zilara Cancun: Wow experience

The hotel is outstanding in all aspects, clean, professional staff, great food, great views. We stayed for 5 nights we enjoyed every day so much and we definitely will go again. The breakfast is just above and beyond. Water Cristal clear except for some seaweed (out of anyone's hand)

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Wonderful Resort

This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit. So wonderful we have been twice. The staff is amazing. The pools are great and food is delicious. In regards to dining I would prefer being able to make reservations as if you are apart of a bigger party you tend to have to wait a long time and the staff are not ecstatic about accommodating a large group. Very scenic and perfect for family vacations.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Average

The hotel was average in terms of amenities and food. I did not like the constant up-sell for liquor and $5 for coconuts is absurd. I would not return as I booked an Adult only resort and was disappointed that adults at the Ziva had access. The buffet dinners were oddly themed. Jamaica night 3 times in the week when there was a Jamaica station every meal. I loved the Brazillian and French restaurants, service and meal quality was very good.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Great resort!

The grounds are immaculate and very well laid out. Love that there is an adult side as well. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Beach is great too with enough loungers for everyone. Would go again!

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Beautiful resort, would definitely return!

The hotel was very well kept and clean, and the staff were all very friendly. We had amazing views of the beach from our room and there were always empty palapas to sit under. The restaurants were all very good, especially the Asian one.

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Simply Amazing.

From the 5 Star food to the service of all the friendly staff & management, the Resort is nothing short of Amazing, & the quality of life that can be found here is exquisite. Beautiful sand beaches, Gorgeous Green Palm Trees, how could you not find yourself in a piece of Heaven wishing you didn't have to go home !! Definitely would recommend again !

From entering the lobby to register to checking out and heading to the airport and home we have nothing but praise and raves for this resort. Checking in was smooth and seamless as was checking out. Our room was spacious and well appointed located where we requested which was an adult pool view. The grounds are expertly and well maintained. Your first view from the lobby over looking the main pool is amazing only surpassed by the view at night. There are no problems with sun loungers or getting up at 6:30 to reserve your place with a towel. There is no swimming at the beach as the waves are dangerous to say the least but are mesmerizing to watch and listen to. The food at all restaurants and the buffet was excellent. There is no need for reservations anywhere except at the Asian and that's only if you want the Hibachi no need for reservations if you just want table service. Breakfast can be hectic and a people watching paradise.Any overflow is directed to the adjoining Mexican restaurant so we never had to wait for a table in the 10 days we were there. In fact, we didn't have to wait more that 5 minutes to be seated anywhere. There is no lobby bar by traditional definition probably because this is a 590 room resort that caters to families and a wide age group. The biggest selling point our view was the staff. Constantly smiling, courteous, helpful and very, very good at what they do. .

This resort is great for families and couples. Amazing grounds, with beautiful beach and pools. Tasty food at the restaurants and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Great evening entertainment for all ages.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Wonderful resort and stay!

From the time we got off the plane we were excited to get our honeymoon started which was perfect because the resort was only 10-15 min away from the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was not great with an early check in, we arrived at 11 am and waited until 2 pm to get our room. However, we were able to visit the restaurants and use the resort facilities. We stayed in the renovated Junior Suite King Ocean View (fifth floor) building 4, unbelievable view! The room was a great size for 2 people, cle [... read more]an and cool I felt really comfortable. The stand up shower was on and off warm to hot and part of the bath showerhead wasn't working, once management was aware they were kind to send someone to fix. Only complaint about the room would be when we asked for our room to be cleaned around 9:30 am and returned multiple times to the room around 11 am, and 1 pm the room wasn't clean -happened one day. Also when ordering room service the staff on the phone wasn't the nicest. The resort was gorgeous! We stayed on the Zilara side, the bottom of the ocean was completely rocky- water shoes were a must. We spent everyday at the beach on the Ziva side, this was clear and soft sand however there were small patches of seaweed. On the Zilara side we used the main pool, this is where the main activities and entertainment were during the day- Kevon was great to get people involved and Kelly-Ann with her enthusiasm, very entertaining. It would be nice for the hotel to put more smaller cabanas that don't need to be rented- there were two on the adult side and mostly were taken up by a towel for majority of the day. Better regulations on when to use these would be helpful. We were able to use them twice during our stay- we didn't use it for an extremely long time (1-2h) then left to get food and give someone else a chance- its a nice way to cool off. There were a ton of fire pits all over the resort- this was very nice in the night to go and sit and relax after dinner. Food....amazing! So many a la carte restaurants to choose from for lunch and dinner, we couldn't choose a favourite but the best lunch spot was calypso or visiting the Jerk hut. The Zilara side could use a better breakfast buffet. We went to ChoiceZ or Horizon for breakfast every morning- options were great here. Staff at these restaurants are extremely friendly and so kind. The night we went to Fuzion was extremely busy but it was a nice dinner experience with the live cooking. DiRoza- the Italian restaurant was okay, the best thing about the restaurant is the wood oven pizza and you can take out! Petit Paris was delicious from mains to dessert! Brazilian steak was nice for a change as well, however they need more variety. They had 7 meats and only 3 were not pork based (chicken, lamb, and steak). Fish or grilled shrimp would have been a nice touch...no lobster on site! The round the clock coffee bar/desserts at the hotel is a sweet touch, we went every morning however, the cappuccinos from the restaurants seemed to be better made. Keep in mind, to get fresh coconut water it is $5 USD a coconut- crazy expensive but delicious! Nightly entertainment was great when we arrived, lovely singing (right where you eat), fire and aqua shows, beach parties and more. However, towards the end of the stay we noticed that the entertainment went down (Wed/Thursday night) probably because the hotel was hosting many private events. We saw approx. 3 weddings happen when we stayed at the hyatt, looked beautiful however this meant that walking along the docks around sunset and near the beach was restricted. The crowd ranges from mid 30's to 50's and older, we were one of the younger couples (25-30) we didn't mind. Overall this was a great resort, we had a lovely time staff was kind and food was amazing. We would visit again:)

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Another pleasant stay at the Ziva!

We'd stayed here about 12 months prior to this stay and headed back as we knew we'd enjoy it again - Very good restaurants, with excellent service, which we found again was better than many other hotels that we've stayed at. We went with our 4 and 1 year old kids, and we know the kids pool is well located and warm water (some don't have heated pools), so we were happy to be back and enjoying the ground floor Ziva suite, where you have back entrance to the kids pol and front entrance to the  [... read more]beach and the main pools. The staff are always ver helpful and pleasant, and are excellent with the kids. The distance from the airport is also appealing - about 15 mins and the first drop off on the hotel route. The rooms are good, but not like some 5 star rooms we'd stayed at, but we're happy to let that slide with the amount you actually spend in them. We'd go back!

Hyatt Ziva Puerto Vallarta: Fantastic Resort - Can't wait to come back

Everything about this place is fantastic with one exception, the "towel game" is the resort's biggest problem. There is absolutely no problem that you get up early and leave your towel and a book to secure yourself a spot, however because there is no limit to towels people are securing both a spot at the pool and the beach leaving it limited for others. The Hyatt Ziva is a wonderful property - stunningly beautiful grounds, two large pools, a protected beach area which is great for children, great food and excellent customer service.
