Secrets La Romana: Amazing Resort

This resort was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and helpful. You were made to feel special from the moment we arrived until we departed. Our room was beautiful. We had a private patio and swim up pool. The food was amazing. We visited the Japanese restaurant twice for the hibachi dinner which was excellent. The buffet had lots of variety along with fresh fish and salads. We were booked in the Preferred Club which gave you access to a lovely snack area. There also was a cafe offering capp [... read more]uccinos, espresso and fresh desserts and pastries. The only negative I can mention is the Preferred Club beach which was too small for the amount of lounge chairs and people, making it very crowded. The pool area was very nice and less people so we tended to hang there instead.

Secrets La Romana: Great resort

We have got back after spending 9 days at Secrets La Romana. This is a big hotel which is connected with Dreams. The hotel and its staff are first rate and the food in the various restaurants was excellent along with the buffet. We had the preferred status which gave access to a private lounge with excellent bar staff and an all day buffets and private check in. Yes I would go back to this resort

Wyndham Alltra Samana: Wonderful experience but few things to fix

The hotel is nice, clean, well maintained in the outdoors, beach and pools are pretty good, chairs in the beach are available in good quantities, enjoyable place to stay. And the personnel was fantastic, front desk, doorbell, housekeeping, buffet service, all personnel was so kind. However, the hotel management needs to take care of few services, some rooms have the shower manifold inverted and the hot water is difficult to come out. Also, and this is critical, after 10:30pm there is not a sing [... read more]le option opened for food, this is a big issue, they need to create an option for food that last longer, it is not acceptable to have a food blackout from 10:30pm until next morning at 7:30am!!! Same for coffee and hot tea, they can set a coffee machine as the one around the hotel, in the lobby that works all fay around, or at least during the blackout period. Another big issue, the a la carte restaurants need to improve, it is not acceptable to wait 2hrs plus to eat in a restaurant that does not accept reservations, lack of personnel was evident, just 4 workers to attend all the floor, there was tables waiting to be set for more than an hour and a big group of customers waiting in the lobby to be sit inside.

Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana: Best of the best

We have been to over 15 all inclusive resorts, including Sandals Antigua and this was the absolute best. The service, food, pools, activities were all amazing! We loved the private community of Cap Cana and the proximity to the airport. The beach itself was stunning, although the water was a little murky from the sargassum this time of year. Cannot recommend this resort enough!

Secrets La Romana: Awesome resort

The resort was very clean and staff were amazing. The preferred club was well worth the extra . All restaurants were good. The buffet needed to be better as far as choices and the food was usually cold. The beach was lovely and clear water. Pools were great! The rooms were satisfactory.

Excellent resort, clean, hygienic, washroom were clean, respectful staff, pools were clean and water temperature was comfortable, beach was clean, fresh breeze, greenery around the resort, excellent activities every night, enjoyed the water park

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Experience Real Mexico

I travelled solo during the second week of Oct/25 to Hyatt Vivid PDC. It was my first time in PDC - the drive from the airport is certainly worth it if you want to be steps away from 5th avenue and some really great food from what I've heard. I myself stayed on the resort, which was nice and gave very much Spanish vibes. Loved the hot tub in the room as well as the room service as it was nice to not have to go to dinner or to get breakfast. This resort certainly isn't great for beach lovers as there's only about a couple feel of beach before the ocean. I wish there were more shade at the pool! All of the chairs had sun blockers attached and there were some umbrellas, but everyone struggled to find shade and the resort was no where near capacity. Jose at the pool was always prompt to come around every 15 mins or so to ask for drink orders. He was super appreciative of tips and recognized me, which was nice. I always find it interesting to see how solo travellers are treated - this trip I felt a little ignored, no welcome drink, was told to find my room on my own and my bag would be brought to me, delay on being served at restaurants, but in all, service was good and there were no issues. Private transportation was great. I felt 100% safe as a woman travelling alone and enjoyed my trip!

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: There is a chance that it will meet your expectations

The resort itself is beautiful and clean and our room was really nice and spacious. It is only advertised as all-inclusive resort but the number of things you need to pay extra for is ridiculous. If you want to have some shade, you need to pay for cabana ($200 per day). If no, there are no even umbrellas. Not what you expect from a high end resort (at least, that's how they are positioning themselves). It is advertised that this resort has 7 restaurants. The reality is disappointing. To eat [... read more] in one of them (Chef's plate) you will have to pay extra. The buffet is not open for dinner at all. Pelicanos was closed due to renovations. So, basically all of the time you have two restaurant open. The best one is Asiana, all others are mediocre. Food is greasy and smells burnt oil. During lunch time food is warm at best. All the time restaurant's manager tries to sell you something like themed dinner. I need to admit that Aromas (coffee shop) is amazing and ladies there are very friendly and nice. Loved this place! They tell that Dolma is a top choice restaurant but they serve they street food pretending it is something special. Right during checking in we were suggested to pay for room upgrade ($60 USD per night) to have ocean view. Not the room that facing directly to the ocean but the building a little bit closer to the ocean and to see it you will have still to go to the balcony and look to the right (or left depending on the room location) to see it. Not worth it. After that we made one and only offer to book day at the spa for $250 (including massage) for two people. I do not know if they fully understand how marketing works but for me to buy it, it should be cheaper than at home. Otherwise, I will go to the place and the therapist I am 100% sure in. No small toiletries (like Q-tips or cotton rounds) in the bathroom.

Hyatt Ziva Cancun: Amazing Resort

The grounds are very well maintained with enough space. The multifood selection was wonderful. The staff were very courteous and always looking out for the guests. The double beach access was a dream.

Seadust Cancun Beach Resort: Amazing experience

We had a great experience, all the staff were so attentive, caring and helpful. It is a family place the kids had a lot of fun, only thing the kid’s pool was closed the last 2 days before our trip finished and the place needs some renovations.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Beautiful resort

The rooms excellent, staff also. Grounds beautiful! Restaurants were disappointing, with no changes in selection over 9 days. Some Restaurants were closed daily, limiting where to eat. Very poor food selection for the price we paid to stay here.. Beach a disappointment - through nobody's fault - nature provided seaweed. Resort tried to clear it.

Sanctuary Cap Cana Luxury Collection Adults Resort: Sanctuary Cap Cana

Spent 9 days at the resort with 7 friends to celebrate my 65th birthday. Check in was good, the staff gave us drinks to cool down. Staff are friendly & accomadating. Rooms are a large size, bigger than normal, ac works well. Fridge stocked daily. no problem booking dinner for our group. Only complaint was the seaweed, we could not go in the sea for 4 days, thats not the hotels fault, good ol mother nature. We would go back again. Thanks to Eliana @ Tripcentral for everything again.

Jewel Grande Resort and Spa: Great Food

Jewels Grande has immaculate grounds very well kept and clean. If you would like great steak visit the steak house restaurant, see John no best server brings your food hot and make your experience enjoyable we went there three times. Jerk chicken on the beach awesome, breakfast buffet many items choices included traditional local dishes. Lots of fish to see in the water, enough chairs, guys working on the beach activities great, staff overall much better than Palladium. The rooms needs renovatin [... read more]g, hallway really needs improvement. Mini fridge well stocked, overall great experience. Girl at front desk who helped me to confirm my tour very friendly always smiling and willing to assist. Thanks to all the staff that made this a wonderful stay during my birthday celebration. Special mention to the staff at the Chinese restaurant, the soups were amazing and all staff just great to interact with including the chefs. Our last day the breakfast chef came to our table to ask how was our breakfast, was asked for more mango which she brought back to the table immediately. I would recommend this hotel, just know this hotel included residential accommodations.

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Great resort but quiet

Resort is great but not much entertainment during the day for example not much volleyball during the day on the beach . Food is great and not much space to sit and watch night entertainment. and excursions are a little bit overcharged in my opinion

Dreams Rose Hall: Excellent Customer Service

The Resort was very clean. The food was excellent. The staff are very helpful and have fantastic customer service. The nightly entertainment was ok. Was expecting a little more than a jazz band every night. The curious show was good, they needed more of that kind of entertainment. Our room was basic, could have used a makeup table instead of a desk. We found not enough room for bathroom stuff on the sink area, made it look cluttered. The view from our room was spot on, we could see the ocean [... read more] as well as the pool and bar area. We had a few issues with our water in the shower but once brought to the hotels attention they fixed it. My only major complaint is check in. We stood in line for over an hour and half to get a room. That is not acceptable! People were getting frustrated and cutting the line. If there was is an issue with the rooms not being ready, check people in and let them enjoy the resort, they can go back to front desk to get a room assigned with in a hour or two. Or bring more maids on. We will not go back to this resort, only because we decided we prefer a place with no children. This resort is great for family’s.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Acceptable if you get a good price

Overall I was happy with my trip. I would give it 4/5. We had to change rooms as our first room had plumbing problems. The highlight was the food. It was often very tasty. House keeping lacked consistency. I found a deal for CAD 2900 for 7 days and 2 people. Had I paid more I might of been unsatisfied with the value of the property.

Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Do Not Mistake This Property for a Beachfront Hotel

Full disclosure: Do yourself a favour and do not read the negative posts on this property! Some people look for faults instead of enjoying the blessings that they are surrounded by. We are a middle age couple that enjoys everything about Mexico. The climate, the service and the food. This resort had all of it including a well maintained property and large, clean rooms. From the moment we arrived, the service we received was second to none. The property is smaller that others we have visited and all amentities are within a short walk. The resort has a number of pools and chairs for everyone. The grounds are very well kept and the staff are present, always keeping things in tip top shape. The Roots coffee shop is a favourite for coffee, ice cream and pastries. The food is great! There are unlimited ala carte restaurants with options such as Mexican, French, Italian and Japanese as well as a breakfast, dinner and supper buffet. Our room (5111), was always kept clean and towels and toiletries were replenished daily. As well as the in room bar fridge that included beer, sodas and water. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine with pods. We would return to this resort in a heartbeat! The quality and service was amongst the best we’ve had I can’t stress this enough! If you are a beach person, this resort is not for you. You have been warned! Don’t get there and complain the whole week. No one wants to listen to you! A special shout out to our favourite waiter Caesar. This young man is amazing and goes above and beyond to make you experience a special one.

Dreams Rose Hall: Great choice

Definitely an enjoyable stay. The water slide and the lazy river was such a nice touch! Beach had lots of waves while we were there but the water was very warm. Lots of seating available at the beach and pool compared to other resorts. Lots of entertainment options every day! Rooms and facilities were a little older and generally hospitality was good. Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: Puerto Vallarta Return Trip

Spent a week in PV after not being there in 20yrs. The bus transfer went smoothly and the staff and driver were excellent. Our arrival at the hotel went seem less with the valets and the check in staff. Our ocean view room with a jacuzzi tub was clean and well equipped. The bed and linens were comfortable and clean every day. The A La Carte restaurants were all fantastic and the wine flowed freely. The buffet and staff were very good and the selection was excellent. We did however have some bad  [... read more]timing with some outdoor renovations and a few days of jackhammering. We did not spend as much time in the pools as we normally would as the water temperature was pretty chilly for most of the guests. Kevin at Trip Central said it was a solid 4 star property and we would completely agree. Just a heads up if you’re looking to party and play games around the pool, this is not the place to book. We were there to take in the sunshine and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and it definitely happened. Worth the money and worth the time!
