Sandals Barbados: Not worth the money

It seems as if the resort is woefully understaffed and it shows in their customer service. I know they say no tipping but I don't know where that came from because it is allowed and you may get treated a little nicer if you do. The infinity pool is always packed and the beach had a lot of seaweed for a so called five star. Food was okay. I wouldn't say award winning but ok if you got a reservation. It was more like a 3.5 star dining experience but still okay. Overall and okay time

Fabulous resort and grounds staff very friendly and polite Beach is not great water is weedy and cloudy not clear you can’t see your feet in waist deep water 9 times in Jamaica at other resorts water and beach here was unfortunately the worst we’ve encountered in Jamaica

Sandals Grande St Lucian: Great resort

Pros: Wonderful people, lovely grounds, great seafood. Cons: Room very small for luxury ocean view. Small bathroom with no enclosed toilet so at times only one individual could use it depending on activity. Overpriced compared to the Riu and Bahia Principe chains. Better food, larger suites and wonderful nightly entertainment. Staff at the restaurants were painfully slow.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Good resort, Good staff, needs upgrading

This resort has some really bright spots and some things that really need improvement. I’ll start with the bad…. The rooms….. if you’re expecting a stunning room then you are going to be disappointed. The room we stayed in was very basic and kind of reminded us of a run of the mill 3 star hotel. The TV had cracks in it, the water pressure in the shower was awful, furniture was chipped and paint was peeling off the walls. The pool….. the pool was big and the water was a nice temperature but [... read more] it is in serious need of some TLC. There were pieces of tile missing on the pool wall, paint was peeling on the big sandals tower and there were tons of bugs in the pool. We even noticed a cockroach dead on the pool deck. The beach….. the beach is beautiful but there is no shade at all. No umbrellas, no trees to sit under. The beach is also quite small. Now we move onto the good….. The food…. The food was pretty decent, definitely a step above some of the all inclusives we’ve been to. Our favourites were Kelly’s dockside, the jerk shack and the pizza places. The staff…. The staff for the most part were super friendly. They always made sure that we had everything we needed. They also put a lot of effort into getting people involved in playing games by the pool and having a good time. The entertainment……. The entertainment was good…. Nothing spectacular but definitely not something to complain about either. The silent party on the beach was super fun and so was the couples game show. The drinks….. the drinks were very good. Being able to get premium alcohol was a huge plus for us. The bartenders were extremely friendly and always made sure we had a cold drink. Some bartenders also got a bit creative when we felt like trying something new and we loved that. The bartenders at the pool bar and the beach bar were standouts for us. The rabbit hole….. We went here almost every night. They had really cool drinks that you can’t get anywhere else on the resort and the decor inside is a nice touch. From about 10pm to 11pm it’s a pretty nice vibe as they have a live DJ but the place empties out pretty quick once he leaves. Overall this hotel has a lot of good and a lot of bad. I think that if you go into a trip here knowing that everything isn’t going to be perfect then you’re going to have a good time.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Amazing Vacation!!

We just spent a week @ Sandals Royal Bahamian May 2024. We had an Absolutely Amazing Time! We stayed in a swim up room on the west side and had nothing but sunshine and Island breeze from when the sun came up until 2 in the afternoon! The Resort itself is kept extremely clean! We felt very safe! It is on a public beach but sandals has security on the beach preventing anyone but Sandals guests on the property! The Resort is a nice size, beach is steps away from rooms! Sandals Halcyon Beach: Worth Every Penny

Sandals Halcyon St. Lucia is a small boutique hotel, with a narrow strip of real estate property, but well used, close to the highway and a small fishing village. The grounds were impeccable, with beautiful flowers and luscious tropical plants everywhere. It has 3 lovely pools everyone can access, the Sunset pool (main pool), the Quiet Pool in beside Kimono's restaurant, and the Walking Pool (Crystal Lagoon). There are comfy/quiet seating and napping areas all around the resort (such as a fir [... read more]epit seating). There are 6 restaurants, 2 of which require reservations: Kelly's Dockside, Bayside (International Buffet breakfast and lunch, and a French restaurant at night), Kimonos (Japanese), Soy (sushi) , Mario's (Italian) restaurant and the Beach Bistro (for lunch and late snacks plus take-out). Spa services are available through Red Lane Spa on site. There is no shortage of loungers on the beach and by pools, but prime spots are scooped up by those with butlers, so it is good to have an early riser in your party! The resort is only 15 minutes or $15/person ($30 one way) into the port of Castries to visit the markets. Tours and on-site events organized by Sandals are plentiful and tastefully done. There is drink service at each pool and at the beach. Don't be surprised if a waitress remembers your party's name and drink order by day 2! Bars are stocked with Scotch, Vodka, Rum, Gin, and the fridge daily with Piton beers, a selection of Robert Moldovi wines, as well as water and soft drinks. Coffee and tea are also provided in room. House cleaning occurs every day is never missed! Drycleaning services are also provided.

Sandals South Coast: Second Visit After 11 Years - Still Just as Awesome

We first visited this resort back in 2013. We came back as it checked all the boxes for what we wanted. The resort and its staff met and exceeded our vacation expectations. We did upgrade this time to a Butler Suite and with one of the accommodation block just about completed its renovation, the resort did not feel crowded at all. We had a wonderful time. Beach was great, refreshments were great and food was delicious. Definitely a resort we may revisit again for a third stay.

Sandals Emerald Bay: Not Worth It!

The only things truly 5 star were the dinners, the grounds, and most all of the staff. Breakfast and lunch were 3.5 to 4. Room: It took 3 interactions with the reception desk and 2 1/2 days to have maintenance come to address issues with our room. The light was out in the water closet and there was a leak from the room above (long enough for mold to form). A 5 star room with mold?!? The hotel was also not full. Included water sports: Nearly non-existent. The equipment was there bu [... read more]t couldn't be signed out because they put up yellow and red flags. The worst the water conditions were were 12 inch waves mostly localized. No undertow or rips exist in the bay. Excursions: Our day trip to swim with the pigs should have included snorkeling. That part of the day was cancelled without prior notice to those going; nor was there a discount offered. Note: The water in the area they showed us snorkeling was to happen was quite calm. I could go on... All in... Sandals Emerald Bay did not deliver what it advertised!

Sandals Montego Bay: Relax

People at this resort sandals Montego Bay was just truly an Awesome time everyone who I ran into where just amazing people the grounds where just amazing food out of this world this is my second trip to sandals in which I have so Been impressed that we just booked Negril for Christmas.thank you to all who I crossed path with as you have again made my 36 trip to Jamaica and from here on in it will be Sandals thanks Butch what a view a True Gentleman with awesome ideas.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Amazing staff

This hotel needs the guest rooms to be updated as they are very worn.Bathroom mirrors so worn you thought they had a chronic bathroom fog on them. Lobby and restaurants were very current. Food was average at best at most restaurants. My favourite was the Sushi and Italian. Pools needed some tiles work . A no tip policy was strictly enforced but a totally different story when you arrive at the Sandals airport lounge. There the Sandals representative who escorts you to your bus to the resort [... read more] reminds you strongly to tip both the luggage attendant and the driver. Wow, that was not expected ! I told the representative that I will choose who I will tip and when and I didnt appreciate hearing this from him! I really think this hotel should shut down , refurbish guest rooms and pool tiles, storm damages Then re-open with a splash!! Lovely, attentive staff .

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: very good hotel

food was excellent and service was very good. grounds were well maintained. staff were very friendly and helpful. bedroom was ok but bathroom was far too small. Breakfast at the Italian Restaurant was special, good food and a great view.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Disappointing

This resort did not live up to the image I had of a Sandals resort. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. But the food was lackluster. The dishes rarely lived up to the menu descriptions. And there was such inconsistency. One day a dish would be somewhat palatable and the next poorly prepared. At times service was non-existent. At one pool, no staff circulated to take drink orders and when I asked a pool person, he responded that I should walk over and down the stairs to another pool t [... read more]o get a drink a 5-10 minute walk. The next day I asked him again if someone would be coming; he responded that I told you yesterday you have to get it yourself. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful but some were downright surly. Upon arrival, we were shown a room that bore no resemblance to the room that was booked. We were then shown another room which was small and dark, and then told that they would find a better one for us the next day. And they did move us over but was that necessary? If you think that i am overly critical, we met a couple at the airport who go to Sandals every year. They were at the one at Dunn River and they had the same experience. Even having a meal that was inedible. They were totally disillusioned by their week. It seems that Sandals has gone downhill since the original owner died. I will certainly not go back to a Sandals.. Finally, I believe that this particular property is not suitable for seniors due to the endless amount of stairs, with no elevators. One must go down at least 3 flights of stairs to access the beach, the main pool and almost all dining facilities.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Sandals is a wonderful resort, food was spectacular and they ensure you are pleased with everything. Had a butler village room and was happy with the service of the butlers, you are treated to every possible thing you could think of. They go out of their way to make your stay memorable

Sandals Royal Curacao: Sandals Royal Curaçao

Before I start on the vacation, I want to give some appreciation to our TripCentral rep, Beth. She is personable, professional and polite. She had been to the resort as an agent but told me SRC is her next vacation location. Our booking went very smoothly and Beth was able to confirm room availability through her ACVacations contact so we were able to secure our second choice. SRCuracao was our first trip to a Sandals resort as well as our first time to Curacao. The island is beautiful (we too [... read more]k a day long private tour and saw it all). The weather was superb 35C every day and comfortable 27C nights. SRC is a top notch resort. The food was gourmet quality at most of the restaurants (special mentions are Vincent’s, Butch’s, Zuka). The three food trucks had so many great choices that you would have to stay for weeks to try all their dishes. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept. The four pools are at the perfect temperature and cleanliness. The staff make the resort very pleasant. Great choice for our vacation.

Sandals Royal Plantation: Amazing service

Sandals Barbados: Just what we needed

After a very hectic year, we couldn't wait for a week of relaxation in the sun, and we weren't disappointed. This was our first visit to Barbados and we've been to five other Carribean islands over the years. The island is beautiful, the sandy beaches are clean and soft like flour, the ocean water was warm (but usually too rough to swim in or do any water sports). We weren't expecting the wind to be so strong all week or the water to be so rough, but we still enjoyed morning walks along the bea [... read more]ch, splashing along in the warm water. This was our first Sandals but not our first adult-only all inclusive in the Carribean. Sandals Barbados is smaller than most mega-resorts, which we really appreciated, and it was easy to walk everywhere and enjoy all the restaurants and amenities between the Royal and Sandals. The food was excellent in each of the 7 restaurants we dined at. If you want quiet, low key nights, stay at the Sandals, but if you want night life and live stage performances and a more party atmosphere, visit the Royal Barbados. Our room was wonderfully quiet, we had an ocean and beach view, and could hear the surf. Our room was a bit 'tired' but it suited us just fine, we only slept and changed there anyway. Overall we had a fantastic week that was just what we needed....lots of sun, reading, met great people and enjoyed great food.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Great time at Sandals Ochi

Beautiful grounds, awesome staff, good food. The first room we had was a bit run down and needed a reno. We mentioned this to the concierge and we were promptly moved to a renovated villa. The beach was gorgeous - a word of warning, take water shoes as the beach is very rocky and not kind to your feet.

Sandals Grenada: AMazing Resort

Sandals Grenada is a really great resort!. It is smaller, so you can stay anywhere on the site. 15 minutes max walk from one end to the other. 8 fantastic restaurants. Bucks steakhouse is fantastic, but be sure to set your reservations there as soon as you get there. Kimonos Japanese is a lively fun, food experience. The staff are very very friendly and helpful. The entertainment is not too loud, and usually shuts down by 11 pm, although there are places to get drinks until well into the am. [... read more] Everything in our room worked and the room itself was very spacious, and high quality and as per the pictures. We did not have the butler service and we didn't need it. We were able to get decent seats by the pool or the beach every day as long as we were down there before 9 am. The only knock is the size of the beach- it is beautiful and private (which is good), but not long enough for those who like to go on long walks on the beach. It is however, private, so there is lots of space for everyone. i would estimate it is 1/2 mile long max. The resort is also a very short 10 minute drive from the airport. The runway can be seen from the one end of the resort but we never heard planes in our room, which backed onto it. We did hear a couple landing but only while we were on the beach.

Sandals Grande St Lucian: Great Resort!

This was a lovely resort that was easy to get around and very compact. Restaurants and pools were easy access. There was two things that prevent me from giving it a 5 star review. Firstly, every morning I had a really hard time finding a chair on the beach or at the pool. Even when I went to the pool very early (5:45 a.m.) the chairs were already saved, mostly by the butlers for their guests. More chairs are definitely required. The furniture is old, as is the refrigerators in the rooms. A  [... read more]lot of the pool furniture was torn and tattered, and more often than not covered with bird droppings. The food and the staff were amazing, special thanks to Sharlene who worked hard to get our party of 14 a table in the restaurants, and to Ted in the main restaurant who always looked after us. The staff seemed happy to be there. New Year's party was great!!!!

Sandals Grande Antigua: Above average stay, but All Inclusive is definitely not for us!

First all inclusive in 10 years and Sandals Grande Antigua has proven that we didn't miss much. "Caribbean Honeymoon Grande Luxe Poolside Walkout Room" (we were in the Oleander building) is dated; its bathroom lacks ventilation; and bathtub didn't drain well. 3 out of 4 times housekeeping never bothered to clean the bathtub. (We only requested for room to be done every second day and only the first day was done adequately.) Concierge made dinner reservation for us. They messed up our reserva [... read more]tion, booked us to a restaurant on the day that it was closed. Evening a la carte dining was excellent for a resort, probably best we've ever had at a resort. Breakfast was decent, could have more fruit variety. Lunch buffets were hit and miss (our favorite was Indian Cuisine, least was Asian theme). Beach was nice, but I think Rodney Bay in St Lucia and Seven Mile Beach in the Grand Cayman are nicer! Tennis courts albeit with odd "plastic tile" surface, are decent and lit for night play.
