6th Visit

At Couples Swept Away there is a beautiful beach and resort. We have been there 6 times and we will go back for our 7th next year. The staff are amazing, the food is amazing, pretty much the whole experience is amazing. You can be busy on the resort with all they have to offer or you can relax the whole visit.

Amazing Couples Swept Away

We just came back from Couples Swept Away. Wonderful vacation in beautiful tropical setting and amazing white sand beach with crystal clear water. Food was one of the best we had in all inclusive resorts and we travel at least once a year to different once. Book beach front room if you can, they are located directly on the beach with beautiful ocean views and spectacular sunsets. Hotel offers tons of activities if you want to keep busy... they have sport centre across the street . We had prof [... read more]essional tennis lessons by Norson.. very good ... the resort has 4 beautiful tennis courts, squash, gym and full size laps pool. The best restaurant for us was Feathers .. great food and service. Hotel has around 300 rooms so everything is close by. Hotel offers lots of events enhancing romance. One night they had amazing bone fire on the beach with soft romantic music. They have music at night in Palm restaurant and also late evening disco or sing along . Overall I would recommend this hotel to couples who want to have amazing relaxing time on the beach or want to keep busy . This hotel has something for everybody. We will be back for sure.

We Love This Resort!

Lots of great things about this resort: beach is priceless - gradual Entry into turquoise waters, rooms and grounds are 4 star, there are two pools - one is busier but fun and the other is quiet and very few people. Service at the a la carte restaurants is fantastic, buffet servers are average. Nightly entertainment is late for us, but it’s very good.

Amazing Beach

The food and drink at CSA is top shelf- we are multiple visitors to CSA only 1 night where we disappointed with our meal at lemongrass overall food is 9.5 out of 10 loud screeching noise from jacuzzi first 2 days but was rectified by management we needed an extended check out and front desk staff graciously accommodated our request we left belongings in the safe by accident CSA called as we were on the shuttle to the airport to inform us made arrangements to ship belongings back to us we [... read more]ll done by all front desk to make this happen!! Overall, another beautiful stay and we will be back again enjoy the sunsets on the booze cruise- spectacular

Great resort

Beautiful, very green resort. Nice, 6 room bungalows with more like executive rooms than suites. We first got a room on the ground floor that had no daylight and no sun at any time of the day. We were moved to the third floor corner room, and that would be the only room I would come back to. Food was amazing, we never went to reservation only restaurant, couldn't be bothered. The water is a bit too shallow for my taste, you need to walk quite a lot to get to the depth for swimming. I liked that tips were included in the price. We didn't want to go to any excursions, even to the included ones. But, that was a nice option. Service was very good, everyone, from reception to restaurants was very pleasant and helpful.

Fantastic resort

Grounds were very well kept. Beach was amazing. All inclusive snorkeling etc. was great. Best fitness centre I have seen on any vacation. Outstanding! rated a 4 star probably because it is not user friendly tor people with disabilities. No elevators and wheelchair access so that could be a problem for some people.. Dining at all restaurants was great. Resort was full so only got into the 2 specialty restaurants once.

Nice Resort for busybodies

Vacationing is expensive so I want others to get the facts. Trip from airport is 90min. Check in is uneventful but courteous. The food was fantastic even though food selection tends to be better at many other resorts. The staff were very friendly and provided exceptional service. The public beach is beautiful with plenty of chairs. Lots of vendors walking the beach but not overbearing. Only have 2 very small pools by restaurants including 1 small swim up bar. You have free access to all the w [... read more]ater toys like paddle boats, sail boats, cayaks, catamaran.. Nice added feature of a tennis academy, 8-lap pool and lounge area across the street. Entertainment was good with mostly singing acts at buffets. The VERY BAD- No sleep since many of the rooms are by the road. You can hear the busy traffic. If your closer to the ocean, you can hear the waves slam all night. Either bring ear plugs or White Noise App to help somewhat. If you love the water activities and like access to a very nice fitness area across the street, while accepting less sleep, this resort is for you. There are many other resorts out there that can provide me a better experience for less money but I’m still glad I stayed here (once).

Superlative!

Superb resort from every point of view: accommodation, food, beach, facilities, programs. What is most unique is the all-inclusive sports, including tennis lessons, sailing lessons, scuba, and the like. This is the ideal resort for the active couple who doesn't just want to laze by the beach and drink alcoholic drinks...

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

My husband and I have never been able to take a vacation so after 25 years, we decided to treat ourselves and it was absolutely amazing!!! The resort was immaculate, the views were breathtaking, the food was fantastic and plentiful but most of all, the staff were definitely by far the main reason we had such a great time. Fantastice Resort - 7th time back

If you are looking for a great beach, food, accommodations, activities, friendly staff, most of all value....lok no further. Visit once and your hooked, nothing else compares. We returned for our 7th visit and are still in love with this resort and the staff whom make it all happen. The food is top notch, the grounds are breath taking, lush and green. The water is like glass, calm and clear. The rooms are very comfortable. Endless activities are included such as diving and catamaran crui [... read more]se, glass bottom boat tour. Amazing Resort to stay at

Everything about Couples Swept Away is fantastic. The beach is amazing, the staff are very friendly and yes we call them our friends after going for our 5th time. The food is great and the rooms are clean. The vegetation is lush as well. We highly recommend this resort. It's a short 3hr 45 min flight from Toronto which is nice.

We will be back!!

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at Couples Swept Away, and we were not disappointed. The rooms are clean and comfortable, however if you are looking for posh accommodations then this is not the resort for you. As always, we found the food to be excellent and plentiful. Service is sometimes slow, but remember that you are on "island time". We found the staff to be helpful and friendly and when we asked to be moved to a different room due to an ant problem, they accommodate [... read more]d our request immediately and we ended up with a room that had a better view of the beach. The grounds of the resort are lush and beautiful, and meticulously cared for by the staff. The beach is the best we have seen in the Caribbean; white sand and crystal clear water. There are some vendors selling their wares along the beach, however a simple "no thank you" will send them on their way. We met other couples who have been to this resort multiple times, some of them as many as 30 times! We cannot wait to go back again!!

Beautiful and relaxing

Amazing stay. Beautiful rooms with large verandahs with hammock and generous seating area overlooking the beautiful and tropical grounds of the hotel (or beach if you get a beach front room). Beach was stunning and long. Sand was soft and comfortable to endlessly walk on. Water was warm and felt like a massage to the soul. Staff are very friendly and there is always an interesting conversation to be had. Anything you want is available easily - towels, fresh juices, drinks, ice cream, snacks and of course the beach! Great water sports available for free on site - including snorkelling, kayaking, sailing. Pools and many jacuzzi's on site. Easy to have time on your own or mingle if you want with other guests. Couldn't have asked for a more relaxing holiday.

Amazing honeymoon

We arrived at Couples Swept Away a little later in the day. We found we didn't receive the warmest welcome from the front desk or the reservation lady (it was 7:55 and she told us she was closed so come back in the morning) but we don't worry about stuff like that. We went to our room on the second floor. The air conditioning was really loud and the TV didn't work and the tree frogs really loud as we were in front of a pond. The next morning we requested a new room and they accommodated us. Our  [... read more]new room 3111 was awesome. The rooms here are not marble but are very rustic. You have to love that sort of thing. We were on the ground floor in an ocean veranda room. We loved that we could walk right out and we could see the ocean. The food here was wonderful as were the restaurants. We took advantage of the fitness centre across the street as well as the catamaran ride and glass bottom boat and snorkeling. All were amazing as the guides worked so had to ensure everyone was safe. He even jumped in the water with us and gave us food to feed the fish. We were pretty much the only Canadians and we met some wonderful American couples that had been at this resort numerous times and showed us the ropes. The beach here is unbelievable. We loved the floaties for the water. Had a great time. We would definitely return.

Met and exceeded our expectations!

We have been to Negril upwards of 20 times - CSA was our first AI in Negril. We have always either rented a villa or stayed at some of the smaller hotels on the cliffs and beach (including Idle Awhile - Couples Swept Away's "daughter" property just down the beach). After researching other areas in the Caribbean we opted to go back, yet again, to Negril because of the familiarity to the area, the property NOT being isolated, the more relaxed vibe, outdoor/ alfresco dining at almost all restaurant [... read more]s....which we didn't find at resorts in other areas in the Caribbean - if that makes sense! We had a terrific experience - below are some highlights/ lowlights: Highlights: 1. Staff: Amazing - friendly, helpful, engaging, had great sense of humour, always willing to go above and beyond. We were concerned about the no tipping policy and the level of service but what we found was that we have NEVER received BETTER service anywhere! 2. Grounds: Very well maintained. The property is older but it is lovely and stays very true to Jamaica's architecture, building materials etc.... 3. Beach: The best stretch of beach in all of Negril. It's huge! The great thing about this part of Jamaica/Negril (7 Mile Beach) is that you can literally walk the 7 miles. There's plenty to see along the way including other smaller hotels, bars and of course the beach "vendors".....if you are not interested in 'whatever' they are selling - just say "no thank you". Nothing to be intimidated by.....a few "no thank yous" is all you need to do. 3. Pools: Nice and refreshing pools on the property (3 in total) with a few hot tubs scattered around the property. 4. Food: Yum, yum, yummy food with plenty of variety at both the buffet (Palms) and Patois (al a carte), Lemon Grass (a la carte) and Feathers (a la carte) and the Cabana Grill (by the swim up bar - burgers etc...) 5. Rooms: Clean, fresh and well air conditioned. We were able to order our daily "refreshments" for delivery each day - if you like sparkling wine, it's really good there! Lowlights: (very few) 1. Beach palapas/ shade availability - it would be great if the resort offered umbrellas in addition to the lovely but few palapas available. We found out early in our stay that like other resorts, you have to wake up super-early (5 am) if you want to secure one of their palapas otherwise you are stuck finding shade under a tree among many other shade seekers. That was a bit unnerving...If the beach staff had umbrellas available for guests it would be great so we're not cowering under a palm tree far from the actual water. 2. Swim-up Bar: This is a very lively spot indeed! If you're looking for peace and quiet - find a spot on the beach, not by the pool. We found that there were a lot of guests perching themselves at the bar as soon as it opened (10am) and stayed until closing (6:30 pm?) - it can get pretty boisterous if you know what I mean..... That's it! We will definitely return!

No regrets!

If you enjoy getting what you pay for then this is the place! Friendly staff, incredible beach, great food and dŕink all without any unwanted surprises. Janet Merrill did a great job of getting everything right for our trip!

Tropical Paradise!

This resort truly is amazing! Beautiful beach, awesome food, drinks and service. The staff are friendly & accommodating. The rooms aren’t really fancy but have a rustic charm to them. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing romantic getaway for you & your significant other this is the place to be! (However, if you are looking for the loud party atmosphere you may want to look elsewhere. This resort has more of a quiet intimate setting.) Couples Swept Away 2018

The hotel was fine, but certain areas have been neglected since our last stay, which was less than a year and a half ago. The price has increased huge, but the service and cleanliness has not even been maintained. Certain waitresses made us feel like we were such an inconvenience to them (at the Patois), the public washrooms were quite filthy as well.
