This was by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, food wasn’t edible, line ups for days, it’s an extra charge for everything. You don’t get a safe in your room without paying for it, they don’t restock your fridge unless you pay for it, restaurants were impossible to get into . But if you payed you could get a table in the empty restaurant you apparently need a reso for ..
it was very unclean and the rooms were a joke, as well as no wifi outside the lobby.
I could never imagine [... read more]a hotel being this bad ..

STAY AWAY
Where do I start? I’ll start by being asked to write a review for this resort by me was a BIG mistake. How’s about I get into some details… food is probably the worst I’ve had in the world(I am well travelled) one of my travel companions stepped in human feces and when told to the resort staff, they said “what would you like us to do about it?†Room was cleaned ONCE in 7 days. EVERYTHING was an upgrade, including WATER and $8/night to use the safe. All I am saying is read the fine p[... read more]rint. Bars close at 12:30am. When I confronted customer service about our stay he offered ZERO solutions and when pressed further just told me to read my booking. We didn’t book the pyramid level but we also weren’t the palm level but felt like we were almost homeless.
NEVER AGAIN will I consider this chain and further more I will actively commit time to making sure others do not as well.

Mediocre resort
From the check-in to check-out it wasn't the best place I've stayed. Started with the 1 1/2 hours just to check in cause they only had 2 people on the desk. Process was painfully slow and very frustrating. Got to our room, wanted to shower after a long day only to find no towels in the room. A theme repeated on a daily basis. Housekeeping would take the towels but never leave fresh towels in the room.
Floor hadn't been swept during the entire stay.
Expected a king size bed we had paid for [... read more]and got 2 double beds pushed together.
Mini fridge was not filled at all without being requested when told it would be filled every 2 days
Entertainment: nightly shows were extraordinarily poor. No thought it seemed given to actually entertaining anyone and not worth watching.
Restaurants: definitely not the best. Only one had food that was any good, very disappointing to say the least. Will definitely not be going back

Worst trip ever - disappointing
Many disappointing experiences: 1) poor food quality, all Mexican despite advertising to have a variety of cuisines (long line ups for restaurants), 2) bad hotel quality/old, 3) no safe, made you rent it, 4) lack of certain things (drinks, beach towel, etc.)

Great first resort but..
First time going to an all inclusive. I was looking at the grounds when booking and wanted something big with lots of views and pools. I wanted a party and to have a great time in Cancun. I had a great time, the staff parties and grounds were wonderful but I do not think I’ll be going back here next time due to now knowing what I want when going to an all inclusive. Good food and great rooms with a beautiful ocean.
Grounds and pool: great !! Huge huge place, be prepared to walk lots but th[... read more]at’s what I love doing. Exploring. And I got to do just that every day without leaving the resort (it’s huge) but the pools were a big thing for me when booking, I didn’t go into the pool once, so next time that’s one thing that I won’t care about really.
Food: gross survived on chips guacamole which wasn’t that that good and fruit from the buffet. If you do go here prebook restaurants the day you get the for every night. It’s ok food and at least gets you through the week
Rooms: 2/10 beds horrible, pillows horrible. Shower was good but we had a cockroach in our room we had to kill and it was horrible lol
Staff : absolutely wonderful ! Great people. Never had any problems. Felt so safe at the resort.
Really overall had a great time. But next time I will be looking at rooms and food as my main points of interests ♥ï¸

Beautiful pools and views
Amazing resort, beautiful views and pools,
Room service not good at all,
From the day we entered to the resort everyday we had to call for towels,
Some days they forgot the cleaning of the room, call to bring coffee and drinking water,
The buffet was so crowded, we had to line up sometimes for 1/2 hours,
Stood on line for stake house minimum one and half hour and even we couldn’t eat the stake, I think not the right meat for stake,
Maybe all of these is because you are ver crowded,

Basic resort and bad staff
I have had a bad experience dealing with staff in the resort. The service was really bad and almost none of the staff speaks English. The food was really good and I liked the variety of options however all drinks are watered down and not good. The swimming pool was the best part of the vacation however we got kicked out at 8 pm everyday because they close it. The entire resort close at 11 pm so no clubs and nothing really to do other than walking around and going to sleep after 11. The room we g[... read more]ot was very basic and we actually lost the power on our last day where we had to call the receptionist. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice Beach
If you are going for beach, sun, some drink, some food etc. it’s perfectly fine. You often read the odd review and it’s so dependent upon the a hole that is writing the review. If you want luxury and the best of everything this place is not for you. You wanna get away for 4 or 5 days it’s good enough. Any all inclusive much longer is redundant as far as I’m concerned.

Max a 3 star hotel
The resort is very big, but the rooms smell humid, the staff isn’t particularly friendly/helpful. One of the sports staff was actually snobby. There are 2 types of bracelets - blue for regular and black for luxury - and with the blue bracelet you don’t have access to restaurants, some areas, mixed drinks. This was not disclosed beforehand and actually made it that we were refused drinks... when we had paid for an all inclusive. It’s very much a 19-21 year old vibe. The music, the food, eve[... read more]rything is geared towards that audience. The food in the buffet is really not good and I’m not a picky eater. This was my first time booking an all inclusive as an adult (I had been twice as a teen with my parents), and was really not a good one. Not recommended at all. Tripcentral rates this as a 4.5 star, Google says 3, I would put it at a 2. The only good thing was the beach.

Great value cancun vacation
I recently booked a trip for two with my 19yr old son through trip central travelling via sunwing airlines. Fir the price ($2600) I don’t think I could find a better value fir a 7day all inclusive vacation Fir two. There were highs and lows however. The positives of this trip is 1) direct flight avoiding possible COVID19 exposure at multiple airports. 2) The airport pick up and drop off was very well organized. 3) multiple emails from trip central on things to know, do, booking confirmation he[... read more]lped with clarity and reducing risks associated with travel. 4) The grand oasis provides exceptional entertainment experience beyond what I expected. The fun factor is definitely undeniable. The hotel staff are generally polite and accommodating. The negatives are The food quality and service is So so, nothing I would go out of my way to eat. The food service quality is poor. I’m disgusted by the fact cups are picked up of the beach and pool deck to be reused. One of the plastic cups I drank out of had a black cigarette butt burn mark at the bottom of it which I only discovered after finishing most of my drink. The optics of seeing staff picking up cups to reuse is not good particularly while we are dealing with a infectious disease crisis globally. A service staff explained they don’t have enough cups and need to reuses cups laying around. I liked the salad bar but the “dos lunas†restaurant food quality was very poor. Late night food smelled off and not appetizing. Worst fettuccine alfedo I’ve ever had. The third day I was there dealt with severe stomach and back pain which was unsettling. Room was okay but small. Absolutely felt frustrated with workers drilling and hammering in adjacent rooms stating at 8am. Seemed like clock work. The other part that the resort doesn’t have A lot of control off is the noise level from spring breakers but guess that’s my fault fir time of year I chose. Also would have like daily replenishing of water and drinks rather than every 2-3 days. Overall, the spring break atmosphere made the resort a vibrant place to be and entertainment adds to that but food qusiity and service, as well as making the stay comfortable needs improvement.

The highs are high, and the lows are low
You do NOT need the black wristband. You have access to around 75% of the restaurants with the blue (middle tier). You can also, if you really want to, buy the black wristbands for a day or two (we did for the last couple days of our stay), if you really want to try out one of the fancier restaurants and bar/lounges (they are only SORT of worth it?). You also get access the cooler beach beds, but a lot of them are in dead sunlight, and you have to camp with your towels early AF if you want to ac[... read more]tually get a beachbed. Otherwise it's just access to a nicer bar by the beach, and I couldn't even tell you what else. The black level buffet was nice, but basically just high quality version of the normal buffets.
The pros:
Amazing entertainment in terms of bar selection and evening activities.
Basically a fully functional circus that performs almost nightly that is actually genuinely impressive
Kinky Nightclub does almost nightly full productions of burlesque, etc.
Beach was GORGEOUS.
Pool was pretty cool - you could swim a long way in like a long wrap around deal. Swim up bars. Interesting features that are cool for kids like water spout things, stuff to climb over that decided the sections, and sharp rocks.
Amazingly wide selection of food options, including some amazing Mexican options (Sarape restaurants, the La Placita snack section)
Top foods: all the tacos (Hippie Chic Fish tacos, Sarape Tacos, Placita Tacos), Ceviches/Tartars, Chicken Tenders.
If alcohol is your goal, congrats. They pour like 50% alcohol in their drinks. We actually had to ask for LESS alcohol.
The Cons:
Exactly 0 soundproofing between the rooms in the regular hotel (apparently the more expensive rooms are better). I could literally hear EVER MUTTERED CONVERSATION as if it was right beside me. Someone's alarm consistently went off at 4:30am and I was basically convinced it was coming from my phone.
It is a party resort. There are young men yelling at all the godawful hours of the night in the room next to you. You will be intimately aware of their successes and failures on Tinder. You will become familiar with the song that "changed their life, bruh." You will overhear the friendship that is telling Diego to not fall asleep bro, Diego, don't throw up bro! DIEGO! SWALLOW IT DIEGO!!!
Food could be fairly hit or miss. Eating earlier during the restaurants' service hours tends to help, as the foods is less rushed/they haven't run out of items. I'd say the food was maybe a 7/10. DO NOT BOTHER WITH THE STEAKHOUSE.
This resort really just sucks at the basics:
LINES. LINES. LINES. Want lunch or dinner? Go before you're hungry, to start waiting in line. Want to attend the circus? Show up an hour early for seats. Kinky Bar - same.
We went during Feb 10 - 8, which I feel like is pretty peak attendance time. There were TOO many people to be comfortably at the resort. The poor employees were overworked to the max. They were all putting out food at max speed, but there were still constant lines.
It's HUGE and mazelike. We were still trying to figure out best routes to get from A to B by 7 days in.
For some unknown and terrible reason, some restaurants have the same name? There are 3-4 Dos Lunas. 2 Sarape's. 2 Hippie chics. WHY.
Getting water is annoying - there was exactly 1 area to pour your own water. Everything else was having to find a bar, wait in line, and then get water.
Bathrooms in the common areas were NOT near anywhere I wanted a bathroom, like the beach, or immediately beside a pool, or not in a far flung corner of the lobby, not at ALL in the lobby of the hotel buildings. You need to also be ready to head to the bathroom early before you really need to pee after drinking on the beach.
Bathrooms were only really solid to use in the morning. Not a lot of upkeep was happening during the day (again, because I think they were ludicrously understaffed) so pray you didn't need toilet paper, or just go back to the lobby bathroom or your room. I hover-peed FAR too often. The floors were wet AF with pool/sea water, and probably piss.
Again, probably because of the crowdedness, but maybe not: I feel like there weren't enough beach chairs. It was ALWAYS a struggle to get them if you showed up too late in the morning. I know this is a common problem at resorts, but I genuinely feel like this was the least amount of beach chairs I've seen at a resort, and it is the biggest resort I've been to to date.
Bars are cool but PACKED and not in accessible/chill outdoor areas. There's not really a nice like "just sit outside at night and drink" bar.
Smallest but maybe most annoying issue: towels. They don't do the towel card system, so you always need to carry your beach towel. There were "levels" of towels, and a few in our group ended up with lower tier towels by accident and couldn't go back. One ended up receiving a straight up bathroom towel and was screwed for the rest of the trip.

Horrible Resort
Honestly this was my worst vacation ever. I want to first off say it has nothing to do with the employees. They were all very nice but the quality of this resort is beyond horrible. The food was the worst I’ve ever had and made me not want to eat at all. No flavour just bland overall and the same things everyday. The alcohol selection was extremely basis for a 4 star and all the expensive bottles were filled with water to make it look like they had expensive stuff but they didn’t. The checki[... read more]n process took over 1hr with only one person working the checkin desk and multiple employees walking around. I would never recommend anyone to go and stay at this resort. My friends and I would never go back and are extremely disappointed on how this hotel is rated as a 4 star but is barely even qualified for a 2 star. You really need to re-evaluate the rating of this resort.

Nice Resort
This was a really big resort. The restaurants were delicious, the ocean view room was really nice, and it was really clean. Lots of pools and the beach was gorgeous. The only thing is that this seems to be a party resort. They have a beach club that starts pounding music at 11, and it draws a large younger crowd of party goers. Just good to know if you’re looking for a quieter environment, this isn’t the place to go.

Bad service, food was ok. You had to wait 20 mins to get a drink. Security guards were acting rough. The food wasn’t what I was expecting. I stayed 4 days in the resort and finally ended up in a airbnb. But best place to party and have fun.

Gorgeous resort
The hotel is absolutely beautiful and huge, all areas are clean and with lots of attractions like exotic birds, lizards and fish. It’s huge and surrounded by a 1 km pool with many bridges to cross to the other side. Even though our room was nice and clean I regret not having a dresser and a combination safe. The weather didn’t allow us to enjoy the beach though. The staff was very courteous and customer service was good. Our favourite dining was at Tul Kun buffette

Never going back
Despite the fact that we spent way more money for this resort we were extremely disappointed.
Food was awful
Shortage of supply hence long line ups everywhere. I did not take vacation time and spend money to stand in lines. Specially for breakfast. Half hour to get a table and another half hour to get two eggs. They would not do anything to accommodate by switching another restaurant to breakfast mode to help the guests.
Some staff were very rude specially at the sushi restaurant. Btw [... read more]if you ever go to this place stay away from the sushi restaurant. Just horrible.
Oversold or over crowded and if you wake up past 8 am you wont be able to find any chair around the pool or the beach.

Overall its not a place i ever recommend to anyone. Spend ur money in a decent place

So so!
The check in line up was HUGE. We had arrived at 11 pm after a 5 hour delayed flight and didn’t get to our room until 12 am. We were told that there is only one restaurant open after 12 am which was 2 miles away from our room. In addition, we had to ask around and wait for a bell man to take our luggage to the room. We were told that wifi would be complimentary prior to arrival. When we got there we were told it was not. Such a shame. Attractive Setting
Excellent Beach - White sand and clear, turquoise waters, clean; there are some large waves so being able to swim is important if you go out beyond waist deep, but they are not overly powerful so it is quite safe and fun. Life guards make sure that you stay within safe areas.
