Nice Resort

Everything at the resort was fantastic, except for the food not so good. But, the property was nice for walking and the beach splendid. The staff and people are very nice and friendly. The place is clean and service good. When you call they come. I would recommend if you dont care about getting good authentic Jamaican food on the grounds. However, Negril is small and there are lots of places near the resort to get food and it's safe for tourist to get out during the day time.

Definitely not a 5 star resort as it is rated … more like a 3 star

The resort needs to be updated overall… the walkways are uneven which is a falling hazard … no elevators … not condusive to people with strollers or injuries. The loungers on the beach are old and dilapidated… not enough umbrellas and the ones they have are falling apart. The food at the buffet was atrocious… hardly any fruit and when asked if they had a certain fruit they would say it’s not in season, meanwhile there were vendors on the beach selling the fruit we were asking forâ [... read more]€¦ weird! The accomadations were ok… the rooms were spacious and clean except for the unwelcomed guest I found in one of the drawers (cockroach) … the waiters and entertainment staff were great and friendly but the front desk staff especially the front desk manager was rude and dismissive! Made the beginning of my trip very unpleasant! The only thing salvageable about this resort is the beautiful beach…. Definitely would not go back or recommend it unless some improvements are made

Amazing resort!

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at this amazing resort! I can't say enough amazing things about it but I'll try ;) Extremely clean rooms and so is every single bathroom all over the resort! Zero mosquitoes, no bugs in the room nor balcony (apparently they spray the resort at night and amen for that!). Not a 5 or 4 Star

Service left a lot to be desired. No towels or enough chairs on the beach, mini bar in room not replenished without calling room service, shortage of rum at the bars. Lack of quality entertainment. Long lines and long wait times for tables to be set at buffets. Not enough choices in a la carte restaurants, eg no steak restaurant, and food at buffets lacked variety - the same stuff each day.

Beautiful resort on 7 mile beach

The grounds were beautiful and there were several pools throughout the resort, each one had a swim up bar. The resort has 3 al carte restaurants asian, Italian and Caribbean they were all excellent, they had a couple of beach grills where you could get panini’s or burgers or Jamaica patties. The beach was beautiful and you had to get up early to get chairs or pay the pool or towel guy to reserve for you! Entertainment was okay typical of most resorts!

Fantastic vacation! We highly recommend this resort! Minimum 4.5 ***

We cannot say enough positive things regarding this resort. Although a bit dated, everything was spotless, functional and constantly being cleaned or maintained. Our focus is the water, and the gently waves in the ocean were terrific to float in. We also had a deluxe swim up room with a great view of the ocean which we used quite a bit. It afforded ready access to the swim up bar, so within seconds we could refill our drinks. Now for the best part, the people at the resort. Everyone was friendly, helpful and would go out of their way to assist if asked. Including when it was not their duties. They either assisted or immediately found someone who could. Employees we regularly interacted with quickly started greeting us by name as did we. Special shout out to Antoinette at the swim up bar, we and others kept her hopping and she only had smiles and great banter in response to our silly antics. Natalie (concierge) checked on us at least once a day to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and whether we needed anything. After the first morning the hostess at the palms where we had breakfast each day greeted us by our first names and made us welcome (I am embarrassed that while there and till now could not wrap my head around remembering her name). As above, we look for a vacation where we spend most of the time relaxing in the ocean or pool, not overly noisy/busy, yet with a little bit of entertainment here and there to enjoy when the mood strikes us. This resort was firing on all cylinders for our tastes. Nothing is ever completely perfect, so I would put the Azul at 4.5 heading towards 5 stars

Run down resort

Where to begin - to keep it short, this resort has so much potential, but unfortunately the ownership cares more about the money then the resort itself. The beach is absolutely stunning and along side the fantastic staff of servers, cleaners, bartenders, cleaners and entertainment crew they are the shining light that keeps this place open. Food [... read more] is over cooked and the staff is over worked. Little to none Jamaican food to be offered. The restaurants were disappointing -as the staff did the best they could with the ingredients that were made available to them. The main lunch bar (garfields) went from being open daily serving Jamaican food to a disappointing 3 days on the weekend only. We only found this out when we got to the resort. This was not on AC website nor Azuls website - we were quite upset about this as it was one of the only things we were looking forward to having. The ownership staff was on the resort and were too busy having meetings and enjoying the free food and room to care about the issues with the resort as nothing was resolved during their visit. I first had witnessed upper management see a puddle of water pooling in the buffet which is a potential hazzard for the staff and guests and did nothing about it when it was shown to him. We are in no way hard to please people and always keep an open mind when visiting any resort or destination. However when you are charging the prices that Azul is charging for a so called 5 star resort and only delivering with 2 star accommodations and food then that is where we have an issue. Until there is a major change with the upkeep of the resort, the food and the ownership staff we will not be returning or recommend this hotel.

Incredible Resort 👍

This resort was able to manifest and maintain the laid back, celebratory Jamaican Vibe in every aspect of our day. The grounds,the restaurants, the bars, the pools were amazing!! The food tasty and plentiful But the 2 highlights of this resort were the Beach and the Staff! Never have I felt so welcomed at a resort ! Not for us

My husband and I stayed at the Azul Sensatori Resort in Negril in mid April. After reading so many of the other reviews of this resort, I find it hard to believe we were actually at the same place! I guess it all comes down to expectations and personal preference. This was not the resort for us. This was our 8th trip to Jamaica. Our expectation for our vacation was for rest and relaxation and escape from our busy lives. We got none of that at Azul. Our room was in block 8, second floor, overlooking the swim-up bar. So as you could imagine, during the day there was a lot going on below our balcony. After a day on the very busy, crowded beach, we weren’t able to come back and chill on our balcony in the afternoon due to the noise and commotion. Unfortunately for us, there was no end to that at night as the people below us chose to congregate and party outside their room until the wee hours of the morning. This resulted in very little sleep for us. We did mention the issue to our concierge and they offered to change our room but given that there are no rules as to noise at night we realized there was no guarantee that another room would be quieter. This resort has a lot of buildings on their strip of land. Everything is very concentrated with no real open areas or greenspace or areas for groups of people to get together and party….not a good set-up for people who want peace and tranquility! The food was just ok. The buffets were mediocre at best. The Ackee Restaurant was good, with a nice ambiance overlooking the ocean. We did not eat at the Hua Hin Restaurant due to allergies. The La Romagna Restaurant was excellent but required a reservation. We managed to eat there once, then made a reservation through the concierge for a second night, following the ‘48 hour ahead of time’ rule, and had a confirmed reservation for 8:15 on Friday night…when we showed up for our meal we were told they had no record of our reservation and they could not accommodate us….very unprofessional! We ended up eating off the resort on two nights. This is definitely not a 5 star resort, and definitely not worth the money. There are a lot of resorts in Negril…stay somewhere else!

Great resort for very relaxed

Everything was very good. I believe it worth at least 4 stars for sure. Our suite was amazing: big rooms, huge balcony, amazing ocean view. I'm not a foody person so food was very satisfying for me. I do not drink alcohol but people who are into it told me selection and quality of mixed drinks was quite good. Also it worth to mention well-equipped gym. Beautiful resort!

The Azul SENSATORI is beautiful. We truly enjoyed walking the long, white sandy beach, swimming in the clear blue ocean and soaking up the sunshine. The food was good with lots of variety. We enjoyed the extra touches like infused water, picking out an all-natural scented soap, room scent and choice of pillow. The hotel grounds & pools were kept well and very clean. As an FYI the adult only buildings are situated between the other buildings so not really separate. Also we had to change rooms in [... read more] building 8 as there was a constant water gurgling noise, we couldn’t sleep! We were on the first floor I think it came from the pool filter. We overheard other people complaining as well. Our second room in building 11 was nice. The restaurants cater to food allergies and there are two nice coffee/smoothies/ice-cream bars. The couples massage at the spa was very relaxing! The nightly entertainment consisted of solo or small group vocalists, they were good. Just to note, the resort gets very quiet around 10pm.

Beautiful resort

We spent Feb 1-8 at the Azul and we loved it! The staff was great , friendly and professional . The beach was really nice , water clear and warm . The drinks were outstanding and food really good too . Loved the Ackee restaurant and the jerk chicken and pork at Garfield’s should not be missed . We had a premium room and found it super clean and cool . The turn down service was a really nice touch . Thanks for the great week !!

Fantastic resort

Absolutely beautiful, amazing people and service, clean, and great food. Would definitely recommend, would suggest staying 10 days because you lose basically 2 days in travel time. Quite far from the airport

Good Vacation

The highlight of this vacation was the gorgeous beach. The resort is nestled on it and it was a very close walk from the room to the beach, no matter which building you are housed in. There is much wild life to see and most exciting were the starfish and sting rays. Very nice resort, very modern, but found it expensive compared to others when being compared.

BLISS!

Service was incredible, clean and bright rooms, happy people everywhere. Oh, and the food? PHENOMENAL! The Asian fusion restaurant is to die for and even the buffet at Mahogany felt like a five start restaurant. Will definitely be returning, thank you Natausha for the perfect booking!

Great resort for young families

The resort is very well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is better than most resorts. The kids playhouse is perfect for entertaining the little ones. I wish the resort were closer to the airport, but with the new airport coming to Negril that won't be an issue for long.

Terrific Resort and without the huge crowds

Excellent room, great food options beyond the Huge buffet option for most resorts, beautiful beach and lots of lounges and even many of the large beds. Check out Brandon (lifeguard) on the beach, he is your go to guy, and see Roxanne or Jasmine at the coffee shop (great Americano's) and Laverne at Mahogany. All great folks and great service. Issues with Sunwing

the hotel and everything else was fantastic. Beautiful resort, and would go again, except can only go by Sunwing. We paid for 2 rooms as I went with a friend, ocean view. My view was of the room across from me, no ocean view at all unless I hung over the balcony to see a tiny view. My room was beside the road and I was awakened at all hours by the noisy road. My friend was put in a room 2 hotel blocks away and she had a view of the noisy road. We asked to be moved, no one would move us, but othe [... read more]r people were being moved to better rooms with no issue. I spoke to the Sunwing rep who as well, would do nothing to get us an ocean view, or even close to each other. She was an awful rep for Sunwing, her answer was to put us at another hotel and charge us more. It was not till the 5th day of a 7 day vacation that a manager who was off sick, came back and offered only me a better room away from the road, with a view. I saw no sense in packing to move rooms with only 2 days left. I loved this resort, would really like to go back, but after my treatment by Sunwng, and the awful area our rooms were, I would not travel with Sunwing again, as they have made no attempt to make us want to use them ever again

Amazing Azul

This was our fourth visit to a Karisma property. The other three were in Mexico. We loved the Azul Sensatori in Mexico, so we wanted to try this one. Loved it! Lovely hotel, beautiful beach, and wonderful staff. The à la cart restaurants were great. The buffet restaurants were average. Concierge worked magic to accommodate our needs. No elevators! Usually ran out of beach towels. Lots of lounge chairs. The only downfall is the 90 minutes from airport. I’d return for sure.

7 Mile Beach is Awesome!!!

We just returned from our trip to Azul and had a amazing time! The staff is super friendly and always making sure your having a great trip. There is to many people to name! Everyone of the resort staff did a amazing job! The food at all of the la carte restaurants were all delicious. Our favourite was Garfields Beach House! Everyone of the bartenders were very friendly and went out of there way for you. The beach is amazing! You can just walk until your back burns lol We’ve been to Jamaica 5 t [... read more]imes and this was our first to Negril. It is worth it! We’ll be coming back for sure. Are only negative thing to say is that there was no Sunwing Rep at the hotel. He was there from 1:00 till 2:00 and he seemed always rushed to leave. We had a problem booking an excursion to go to Ricki’s cafe. It’s the first resort I’ve been to where there isn’t a sunwing Rep at the resort for the full day. But this had nothing to do with Azul. We’ll be talking to Sunwing about this. And if you are worried about going to Jamaica because of the lockdown? Don’t be. Montego Bay seemed like there was more police presence and a check point leaving St. James the rest of Jamaica seemed normal. We will definitely be coming back to this resort!!
