Outstanding stay at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo

Everything was great. Clean place, great layout, really nice beach. Staff was friendly and the food was simply the best we've had. We did 6 different a la cartes and each one was really enjoyable in terms of the quality of the food and the service. We just loved our stay.

Fantastic resort…booking again!

We loved this resort and we are already planning to return next year (going to try Maya next year (same resort, different rooms and more restaurants)). There is so much to do for all ages. The waterslides, lazy river and wave pool are fun for all ages….the pools are amazing! The beach was really nice. My son loved Star Camp (9 yrs old)! We also played Tennis and had a blast! We loved the Teppanyaki restaurant….highly recommend it (fantastic food and a great show)! Buffets were all great. We loved the burgers and fries in the shopping centre Hamburger restaurant. Star Cafe is like Starbucks and a great go to place for snacks and drinks. The resort is huge…if you have mobility issues, that might be an issue (no elevators) , but there are shuttles (golf carts) running constantly around the resort. We walked about 10km a day. When booking a room ground level is that, 1st floor is the 2nd floor and 2nd floor is the 3rd floor…something to be aware of (as noted above, no elevators). We had a junior suite by the pool on the second floor and we loved it. Very spacious and clean. Loved that your key card is attached to your wrist band! Smart and handy! A few negatives…. All items in the stores are ridiculously priced (bag of chips and gummy worms were $43 CDN…stuffed animal was $60 CDN….2 packs of baby wipes were almost $50 CDN). Bring everything that you think that you need and more. Not much poolside drink service (1 person working a huge pool) and only one bartender working at each bar, so you can end up waiting in line for 20 mins for a drink. Get multiple drinks at once and bring your own large cup to keep them cold (Corkcicle, Stanley etc…) They used to greet you with a cold towel and glass of champagne upon arrival (as other all inclusive resorts do), but they have stopped that at Lindo (unsure why)….it is something that I like and this was missed. Overall a great resort…which is why we are going back next year!

Beautiful resort

Our stay at Paraiso Lindo was so amazing! Beautiful amenities. Good Buffet and awesome a la carte restaurants. Great family style resort with a host of activities for children. We would certainly book here again!!

Iberostar was great, Martine was excellent.

Martine found us this resort last minute. I don't even know how she managed it. Great service. The service at this resort is awesome. Great if you have kids for the waterpark. Shows were a bit weak. Food is awesome.

We would go again, absolutely!

Everything was great! The customer service was amazing, all the workers are incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The check in process was seamless, even when there was a issue with our reservation (got a free upgrade to Maya from Lindo!). The restaurants were very good but the buffet was just as good. Highlights were El Rancho, La Geisha and El Tapotio. We did book restaurants right away and we worked around the times available. Maya rooms are bigger than Lindo but that is really the only difference other than access to a few more restaurants. Overall a great holiday! Would recommend for families with teenagers and families with young kids. My teens had a blast!

Excellent vacation

The resort was perfect, not too big. Pool area was awesome, weren't all squeezed in one small area. Food was delicious with plenty of options. The beach was good, but unfortunately the seaweed took over and were not able to go into the ocean for a few days, but that is outside of the resorts control.

Amazing resort

Everything was excellent. Lots of activity options and many pools to choose from. Love the water slides. Very friendly staff. Food was amazing. Only issues for our family was the height restriction for the slides and the fact that there are no washrooms by the children area (slides/pirate ship). Far to walk to bring kids to the washroom when in this area.

Absolutely wonderful experience

The hotel was very clean, the food and drinks were excellent and the service was amazing. We were there with a large group and they did everything they could to meet every request that we had. Not once did I make a request that wasn't met with a smile.

Loved this resort

Amazing grounds, beautiful nature and so well maintained and cared for by the incredible staff. The food was excellent, from the buffet, to the a la carte restaurants, and especially the little extras like the taco shop and Star Cafe for great coffee. We ate so well. There is so much to do at this hotel. We loved the pools and Star Camp was also terrific for the kids. Beach was beautiful even though there was some seaweed that the whole coast is dealing with. Amazing waves and beautiful clear wa [... read more]ter. Sunrise beach yoga with Isabel was a favourite activity for us and a great way to start each day. Our room was so comfortable and big. They brought in extra beds for the kids, it was perfect. We also loved the water filtration system which replaces so many plastic bottles.

Great vacation

The resort was beautiful with wonderful friendly staff. We loved everything about it. Dealing with the staff at Trip Central was great too. They were very helpful and responsive when I had questions about our trip. I would go back to the resort and also book through Trip Central for future vacations.

Resort was beautiful

The hotel itself is beautiful, nice staff but there was lots that they did not try to overcome. Our fridges were only stocked the second day as we tipped but when we didn't tip again they did not restock. For 4 straight days the fire alarm was going off hourly and no one was coming to resolve the issue. It began on Sunday Dec 4th, 2022 and did so until Thursday December 8th, 2022. It would go off at all hours of the day and night. No staff came to check in case if fire or let us know there were  [... read more]no issues. Hard to enjoy yourself when an alarm is screaming for hours with no resolve. Anytime it would go off I would go check just in case it would be a fire or had to evacuate. When I advised the concierge they would tell us there was nothing they can do or would act all confused having no information. Paying all that money to not be able to relax was a very bad experience for my family and I. The staff came in and left champagne for us but left the door open, anyone could of just walked right in. Would I not recommend this hotel to anyone and we will not be returning.

Fantastic

Everything was perfect, our family of 10 enjoyed every minute. Our room was missing a few things like a phone, robes, umbrella but it did not away a our enjoyment, we are not people who normally use room service. The service at the restaurants and buffets was excellent always greeted by smiling faces. The kids loved the Cafe and all the pools and slides. We would definitely go back.

Iberostar Lindo

The hotel grounds was great. Rooms were all close to main pool, wave pool, lazy river and the water park. The rooms were outdated and wished there were more options. Food was great but wished they had more options for kids. The entertainment crew was good for both kids and adults. If you like your rooms to be cold, need to ask hotel to override the AC controls. Set at 22 degrees C. Overall, great resort and lots to do but rooms needs to be updated.

Great Hotel if you like walking

This place is beautiful. If you have scent allergies the check in/out can be hard as the lobby is horrible . Luckily the rest of the resort doesn’t smell like that. The pools are gorgeous ( If you don’t get a chair before 8 am you will not have one at the pool - beach is better) Food is good . However, if you are a diabetic there are not a lot of whole grain options ( they have gluten free items but as a diabetic that isn’t good to me . Entertainment is fun - some people are hard on the e [... read more]ntertainment but the shows are upbeat . You have to walk miles to get anywhere . The golf carts that drive up and down are great . We were not lucky enough to have a clean room daily . Dirty linen, shampoo etc not filled and 2nd day the door was left unlocked - no apology at all even though they checked the door lock to see that no one from our room had come in after the cleaner . The safe was broken and the guy came twice to fix it - not fixed . We tipped first 3 days then stopped . 4th day - no toilet paper in the room ! Luckily we had another room we could lock up our stuff . If we had not had that I would have been really upset . My other 2 friends rooms didn’t have same problems with cleaning . Take taxis to places instead of booked excursions. Drivers that consierge can take you anywhere and stay all day for a few hundred $ the entrance to Tulune for example is about $4 US . You can then go somewhere else same day . We went to a beach to snorkel .

Gorgeous resort with amazing pools, wonderful food and fabulous hospitality. We went to this resort with our 10 month old daughter. It was very family friendly with high chairs at every restaurant, kid menus, baby kitchen, and kids water playground. We all really enjoyed our time!

Amazing resort!

Everything was of excellent quality: the service, food, drinks, sports activities, a la carte restaurants. We also liked so much the coffee, snacks, sweets! Would gladly go back next winter with family and friends. Highly recommended!

Terrible experience with resort food!

Our 3-year-old daughter contracted salmonella on the day three of our trip and got very ill. We suspect it was by eating apples and pears at the buffet or the beach. The staff at the front desk were not friendly when we needed them the most and overall our experience wasn’t the best.

A surpisingly wonderful trip!

To preface, my family and I are big supporters of the Royalton chain of resorts so we were visiting Iberostar with much skepticism. HOWEVER, from the minute we walked onto the grounds we were instantly persuaded to think differently! My family landed super late as we took a late afternoon train from Canada, so everything at the resort was closed by the time we got checked in. The resort was much bigger than we have experienced before (at Royaltons) but with the frequent buggy carts and beautifully landscaped grounds, it did not feel that big at all! Strolling to the 'Mall' area from the beach for crepes and tacos was an enjoyable scenic walk that you wouldn't necessarily get from smaller resorts. Everything was spaced out elegantly and had enough 'breathing' room between buildings and facilities (it felt HUGE but small at the same time!). We absolutely LOVED the themeatic decor of the different mini resorts (Lindo, Grand, Playa & Beach), and the more we explored the more impressive it all became! A+ for beauty and design! Beds and rooms were clean and comfortable - we did not have any special diamond/premium level subscriptions but I did not notice anything lacking from our experience. Cleaning staff was always respectful and friendly and we very much appreciated the constant tidying up and straightening (something about coming to a cool, clean room after a day in the sun that is just so amazing!). No smell or weird stains anywhere - A+ for rooms and cleanliness. Bars and lounge spaces: I picked this resort due to their access to International Liquors (I prefer American bourbon). Not to seem pretentious, but I've noticed the quality of the resort directly depends on the quality of liquor they have readily available... Every bartender was fast, responsive and generally friendly! With such a big resort, we never stayed at any particular bar/area to make anyone stand out but all the spaces that we visited had wonderful staff and a welcoming area to hang out and have some drinks - A+ Beach area: Busy resort = busy beach, BIG resort = even busier beach! Factoring that variable, the beaches were great! Limited shade spaces at BEACH front, but a little further back there were enough natural trees to sit under that still have sand under your feet. Sand was cleaned and didn't notice any seaweed whenever we went. At Lindo there was a beach volleyball court (behind the main beach area), a beach snack/drink stand and some good space for entertainment activities. We LOOOVE going to the beach, and even though we often never got any loungers by the time we arrived, there was no complaints. NOTE: although there were not many loungers available, there were 2 STELLAR groundskeepers that went out of their way (almost daily) to pull up some chairs for us - without being asked!

Beautiful resort with something for everyone

My husband and I came to this resort with our entire family which has been a dream of mine from when we got married 40 plus years ago. There were 10 of us and ranged in age from 4 to 67. The kids were on the go from the minute we stepped onto the grounds. The 2 youngest particularly loved star camp and never wanted to leave...….the staff were incredible! The pools were great, the water temperature perfect! The swim up bar with the waterfall overhead pretty and fun. The wave pool a huge delight! The activities offered were fun and the staff very cool! Javi, Carolina and others were extraordinary and so upbeat (I wish I could recall all of their names) The servers in the restaurant the best. Very attentive and fast! All staff very polite and smiling! I could go on and on but I think you get the idea. I would not hesitate to return to this resort...…..it's beautiful, functional and most of all fun. The perfect vacation!

Fabulous vacation resort

This resort was amazing! Something for all! The grounds were beautiful and very well maintained. The peacocks and coati's were something to see (and the kids loved them) Everything from the restaurants to the pools to the evening entertainment was amazing and well done. Probably though the best thing about the resort was the staff and how they made you feel. Normally when we travel we take an excursion or two. We did not this time as everything we needed was right at the resort.
