2nd Visit was every bit as good as the 1st!!

We went with the expectation that it was off season, so there would be less staff, less food, just not quite the same vibe as in April. That couldn't have been farther from the truth. We were on the Royal side, and as usual we were pampered. Food selection at all the a la cartes were great. The Italian alone offered between 7 and 9 choices for your main course, with at least 4 appetizer options, making it our go to choice for dinner. Amazing place

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for reaching out to me. You’re very kind and sweet. My trip was amazing, I met lot of Canadian friends at the resorts. The room was large and nice. The services was great, staffs are very friendly and helpful. Amazing views for swimming pools and lot of activities. Few down side are. 1. The junior room building smell damp and musty. 2. Quiet resort

The speciality dinners were great. Resort was very quiet, might be time of year-October. Food was okay. Only disappointing thing was the drinks, not much variety, basically just rum. We never received any replacement bathroom towels all week even though we asked for them everyday. Even the rum drinks were not great. Staff very friendly.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar

I booked my trip to this resort via Tripcentral and as usual Tripcentral is excellent in customer service. Resort: it was a solid resort. Beautiful Food: repetitive but have options to go a la carte even in low season Show at Night: needs improvements. Boring .other resorts in cuba engage the guests to dance Beach: tons of seaweeds. Not comparable to santa maria and cayo cocos clean beaches Staff: friendly and not mean to the stray cats My overall rating: 7/10

Beautiful Resort

Resort in general is attractive, but the customer service needs some Improvements this was our second time there, yet we received NO welcome back, instead we had a really difficult time and suffered disappointment with the service for Basic thing live Bath towels , clean towels took 2 days to come to us even after we called the 700 # to ask for them, I even walked over and ask in person. wow , when they came was 4.00 PM and we had booked a Tour for 4.45 PM we had to use damp Beach tow [... read more]els in order to bath before going on the tour. Next was the Mosquitoes in the Rooms , then the Buffet food displayed cakes Breads all were infested with Flies big black flies, so Bad and 2 of our friends got sick in bed for 2 days with Diarrhea . last year they had Transport from building to Restaurants or Beach or Pools this time NONE that is an Adult Resort and we are all Seniors with some type of operation to Knee or Hip replacement and walking long was a problem when we complained the Nexis agent reported the matter then they moved us because the reason for that trip was a Birthday and a 65th Wedding Anniversary..... That I did not expect to deal with so many difficulties and the Stress that it created, we could not wait for the 7th day to leave there yet No one offered any Apology for any of the Hardships ..... will we go back there again or recommend our family and friends ...NO

Site exceptionnel

J’ai voyagé du 24 septembre au 1 octobre 2025. Le site est agé mais bien entretenu. Le personnel toujours comme on les connais très serviable. Les piscines impeccable le terrassement également. Le site est très étendu mais l’accès à la plage est facile 1 à 2 minutes de marches.

Big resort

We stayed at this resort on Sept 20,2025 for 7 days. The resort is big very clean. We didn’t realize it was off season September is our preferred month to travel never had a resort that had low numbers. We were upgraded for a swim up room most of the rooms were closed for renovations. For the first 3 days we didn’t have any hot water. The main buffet was closed everyone was sent to the royal buffet that was tiny not much selection. We didn’t check out the nightly entertainment not sure how that was. Overall we really enjoyed this resort we would like to go back when it is busy to see everything they offer

Never again

Been there 12 years ago, same off season. After a very tired journey reached the room at 9.30 pm. First two days no air condition and no hot water service in the room The night we checked in no drinking water or any drinking water in the room. To call the reception, do not know the extension number for the reception. Bus boy told when he leaves, he will bring a water bottle or notify to the person who brings it. Not been told that there is no Air condition when we checking in, next morning when I went the reception only been told there is countrywide power outage at that time. Mosquitoes are everywhere. Lots of mosquitoes inside the room too. Without AC, with outside temperature of 31C, with mosquito inside the room, itchy bed linen, think that night would be. Food is very limited, same food everyday, the eating area infested with lots of mosquitos. Only commendable thing is nice staffs, and superb beach. Chose this resort for 5 star rating, but so disappointed. Never again

Ummmmmm

Food was a no go Ac doesn't work at times but I think they lie about it not working to save cost . No water at times . Royal service is a waste of money nothing really royal about it vs the cost ,go and get a normal room. Some of the staff are great however

The grounds are beautiful, but not a great vacation

I want to start by saying I have travelled to Cuba many times, I love it and know what to expect. This time, was sadly the worse. Stayed June 5 to June 12. 4 adults, 2 young hearted seniors and 1 with disabilities in a wheelchair. This resort is not wheelchair accessible. They do have lifts but they never worked. It’s a massive resort. We were there in what they called “low season” and only had 1 building open for guests to stay in so to change our rooms with mould and bug issues it was a proble [... read more]m plus, the building was so far away from everything! The man on the golf cart was great but waiting for him usually took anywhere from 30-75 minutes because of “Cuban time”. The grounds are very well kept and the resort is beautiful however it is cockroach infested. Not just in the rooms but even running on our table at dinner time. The food is Cuba, but after the cockroaches we really didn’t want to eat much. Thankfully we brought lots of snacks! The beach is beautiful but the chairs and huts are so far back from the water. The pool is nice but only 2 feet deep so you can sit but not swim in it. That was a bummer. The drinks were plentiful and yummy. Staff did their best to help our vacation be good, but I won’t return. We did a sunwing vacation, had to pay $70 each for checked bags, plus the flight attendant on the way back to Toronto spilled boiling water on my neck and face then was mad at me for mentioning it. We made the best of it, but I don’t recommend for anyone looking for something small. This is a massive resort with plenty of walking. Not great for people who arent able to walk and explore. For the price we paid, you can pay much less and get way better in Cuba.

Avoid at all costs!

The food was the worst I've ever had in about 40 all inclusive resorts. No chicken our entire stay. Most dinner items come out of a can or processed package. At the buffet they don't even turn on the steam tables, so hot food goes right into a cold tray. Likewise with the drinks - 1/5. Lots of rum and whisky if that's your thing. No gin, vodka, limes, mint. None of the bar staff know how to make a cocktail, and the correct mixes for a cocktail don't exist. Staff have given up, but,  [... read more]there's always a hidden gem with a smile if they are not on their phones.. The beach - the water is nice, blue, and warm. The sand portion is awful. Full of dead sea grass and sea weed. The beach portion is not maintained at all. Pools - well kept and nice.

One of the best resorts

Hi, The Paradisus Princeca del Mar is very beautiful and wonderful resort. It has a beautiful and clear water at the beach and wonderful pool. People are friendly and kind. Room is very good and get clean every day.

The staff are Amazing

Just back from awesome week at this beautiful resort The staff were amazing So friendly Special thank you to our butlers Miguel and Joel. Anneris at breakfast and lunch buffet Thanks for bringing us ice cream everyday. Randolph at Sukura for cooking and entertaining us and the gentleman who made the desserts Yummy Yummy. Best Resort in Cuba

Rooms are spacious and quiet. Resort is spacous and everyting is in working order. I've stayed here twice now. The staff are friendly. There are multiple bars. They all have good service. The food is so so, but okay. You don't go to Cuba for great quizine. The clientel are primarily Canadian. It's a relaxing adult only atmosphere. Tennis rackets and tennis balls are available. But hunting them down can be a challange.

Another wonderful holiday!

Just returned from the Paradisus Princesa del Mar in Varadero. Weather was fabulous, best mango daiquiri ever in the Piano Bar and best show cooking ever in the Japanese restaurant. This hotel and staff have such amazing spirit and are very welcoming towards Canadians, the Canada night spread was marvelous. We will definitely be returning to this hotel, and we thank Tammy from TripCentral for helping us organize our trip so well, as she always does.

Average resort

Not going to write a big text but to sum up, the value does not match the price I paid. Terrible service, bad rooms with broken doors, toilet and windows. No one speaks basic english there and they dont even care because I had many issues and had a hard time getting help. Food was average but we know it is Cuba. Dont recommend this resort unless you pay around 500 per person...felt more like a 3 star than a 5 star

What a wonderful resort

We were open-minded but skeptical about going back to Cuba after 2 years of reading about shortages, power outages, etc, but read some good things about the PPDM. Not only were the great reviews accurate, but understated, as this vacation in April was one of the best we have had in any Caribbean resort in the past 15 years! The beach is the best of anywhere we have been to, and tops the DR, and Mexico with it's white sand, huge walkable miles of sand, and great ocean swimming or floating! The [... read more] food at the PPDM was outstanding, with beef, chicken, pork and seafood freshly grilled for lunch and dinner. The Royal side is quiet, which is perfect for us seniors, but offers a few daily activities like yoga. Travelling on Air Transat was perfect, and our Trip Central rep helped out before leaving with all the details needed. I would go back to this resort in a heartbeat, which says a lot as in the past 28 Caribbean vacations, we always try a different resort. Our room was a 5-star, the staff went out of their way to assist. What a wonderful place to spend your vacation!

Enjoyed our stay very much!

The Paradisus Princesa Del Mar is a wonderful resort, perhaps among the best (in my opinion) in Cuba. The beach is stunning. The grounds are well maintained and lovely. The pools are great with ample seating on the deck. And, we were very pleased with the food at this resort. The main buffet has lots of choice with fresh fish and meat available to be cooked in front of you. There are also four restaurants to book during your stay (included in the price). But be sure to reserve a space since they [... read more] are serious about only those listed to be seated! We personally enjoyed the French restaurant and thought the beef brisket was fantastic. (We wern't that impressed with the Italian restaurant). Service is great but remember to bring cash for tips, either American or Canadian works. (Google suggusts American dollars are not well received, but that is not the case at all). We enjoyed the $5 hop on/hop off bus into Varadero. While there, we enjoyed a $20 horse and buggy ride for an hour (great price!), with the driver stopping for us along the way wherever we wanted to shop or take pictures. All told, this is a great resort choice in Cuba.

Wonderful Vacation

First off, we received a free upgrade to a suite on the Royal side which was a pleasant surprise after a long day of travel. The resort looks large, but it was only a 7 minute walk from our room near the beach to the front desk. The grounds were beautiful; the gardeners were out every morning cleaning and caring for the plants and grass. Food was good; the Royal buffet was our favourite for breakfast and lunch. The beach was nice, seats were plentiful although it’s a bit of a walk to the washroom on the Royal side from the beach. You do however pass 2 bars on the way so it was an eventful trip when you had to go. The staff was helpful and always pleasant especially the gardeners who always said good morning and offered my wife a freshly cut flower.

Great Resort

This resort is beautiful and they keep the grounds, pools, etc spotless. The beach is incredible and always lots of palapas and chairs. The pools are gorgeous too, with many loungers. The staff is attentive and friendly. They appreciate anything you do for them as well.
