Quiet Island

The island itself is absolutely beautiful, the landscapes, the culture, and especially the people. The resort was ok, food was excellent, staff were all very nice, the resort itself is too quiet. Plus side, never a problem finding lounge chairs! Lazy river and water slides were about the only entertainment for our teens. Concierge was not worth the extra money, every room that we could tell has somewhat of an ocean/pool view. We’re still trying to figure out what the “extras” were? [... read more] We did two tours, zip lining and an island tour with the sulphur springs - well worth the money and gave us something to do for two days.

Enjoyable resort for all

10 minute drive from the airport. Excellent food selection for all variety of diets. A lot to do-beach, pools, lazy river, water slides, exercise, yoga, ride horses, paint class...Rooms clean but small for 4 adults. Wifi available in room or lobby, tends to cut in and out. Staff polite and helpful.

Great resort

We really enjoyed Coconut Bay resort. It was minutes from the airport, rooms were nice, food was excellent, and the staff were super friendly. The entertainment was amazing. It was a great holiday with our Family.

Very family friendly resort

Older resort with ongoing renos-- but very clean, nice comfy room with trundle beds for the kids and very good, friendly service. Great kids club with lots of activities and special events for kids up to 9pm most nights. Kids loved the lazy river and waterslides and many food and drink options including cotton candy and snow cones some days. Lots of food choices for all. Very nice resort!

We stayed in Harmony, in mid November. Harmony is a wonderful choice, if you don't have small kids anymore. You can really enjoy calm and serenity in this part of the resort. Plenty of sun beds, near the beach and two adults only pools - everyone will get one, even if you wake up late. Beach is narrow, but long - not a big deal. You can still go for a long walks. Dinners - we were a bit disappointed with the smaller selection and not a lot of famous St. Lucia's fruits. A'la carte restaurants - great, gourmet food, unforgettable taste!- especially at Silk and Calabash. Too bad they are not open everyday - this should be improved. There is lots of bars, lots of great drinks you can try. We loved the tea/coffee station in the lobby available at any time. Staff - very nice and polite. Rooms - super clean. A bit outdated, but that's not a problem. And the ocean view! Wow! Entertainment: We really enjoyed live bands and artists performing in the lobby every evening. Reggae beach party on Monday was great. Chocolate night on Friday delightful. And here is the only small critique we have: Big, evening shows could be improved; bands are not so great, especially disappointed with the Caribbean night . Western Country night- I can have plenty of that in the States. Karaoke night - so, so. Lobby; spacious, with lots of comfy sittings, but very hot; no AC and/or no ceiling fans. With a low ceiling and small openings there is not enough breeze and it get really hot in the evening. Our room was SUPER COLD and you could not adjust the temperature. The thermostat was just broken. Nobody could help us with that and next time we would ask for different room. Also - we had blinking green light from the fire detector, right above our bed and from what we could see it also bothered people before us, since they were trying to cover it with the gum... Not sure if all the rooms are like that. Despite that; would we recommend the resort? YES! Would we go there again - Yes!

Beautiful Resort

Everything about Coconut Bay was amazing. The food, drinks, room, cleanliness, and staff was wonderful. We will definitely be returning to coconut bay in the near future. This hotel is a great choice for children as well, plenty of exciting things to do and see.

Nice but keep expectations in check

The property was nice. The kept it and the rooms clean at all times. Overall the property was dated and in my opinion a little overpriced. I did understand though the price premium was for Saint Lucia. Being on the Atlantic side, it was very windy most days and evenings. Beach was very weedy. Not really a "hang out" kind of beach. We walked the length of it but that was about it. They did have trucks going up and down the beach daily to clean seaweed. Food was pretty good. Although, did have one of the best steaks in recent memory at the Calabash a la carte restaurant on Valentine's day! Staff were friendly but many didn't go out of there way to show you were welcome there. Although, we did have a blast with Merhan the bartender one night. (Management, give that young man a pat on the back for good work and service) There was always something going on. Especially for kids. Anyway, be aware of what you pay for. Keep your expectations in check and you will enjoy Coconut Bay.

Awesome Vacation

We enjoyed our one week stay at Coconut Bay Resort. The staff and entertainment team made us feel welcomed. Everywhere you turn you are acknowledged with a smile. Entertainment team became our friends while there. We participated in some of the games and it was fun. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. We would go back again.

Lovely Resort

We have just returned after a week at Coconut Bay Resort in St. Lucia. This is a lovely resort located minutes from the International Airport on the south end of the island. There are not too many flights each day so there isn’t a noise issue. The resort is divided into 2 areas, Harmony (adults only) and Splash (families). We were in the Harmony section. Our room was a Junior Suite located on the 4th floor with an ocean view. All rooms face the ocean and the 2nd through 4th floor have a  [... read more]view. Our housekeeper Giselle did a wonderful job on our room, leaving towel art and flowers each day. There are several swimming pools throughout the resort, a waterpark including water slides and a lazy river that were all well maintained. Daily activities took place in the Splash area pools, the Harmony section were “quiet” pools. We didn’t have any problems getting lounge chairs although there seemed to be an issue throughout the resort to find sun umbrellas for shade. It would be a definite plus to have more umbrellas made available. We were more than pleased with the variety of food offered at the buffet and the selection of ala-carte restaurants. Dress codes are in affect at several of the ala-carte restaurants requiring long pants for the men. We made our dinner reservations as soon as we checked in – the young lady on the desk was very helpful with suggestions for sittings. There were special events, such as a Super Bowl Party, where a large buffet was set up around the main Splash pool. The game was shown on 2 large screens at the theatre. The beach area definitely has a seaweed issue. Every day there was a front end loader scooping large quantities of seaweed from the entire length of the beach and depositing it into a dump truck to be hauled away. Excursions are offered at the resort. We had tried to book a couple of different excursions but because they required minimum numbers of participants we were unable to go. The hotel website is very informative and is worth a look before you go.

Pleasurable family experience

Wonderful friendly staff! Great food and entertainment, unfortunately the beach did not live up to our expectations too much smelly seaweed although they work so hard to clear it, it’s just so much and the machiney is just too loud- not a relaxing experience on the beach. If you are a pool person that this resort is for you! Pictures online do not look like the reality, the reality of the beach it’s not light blue or calm to say the least

A must for a family vacation

Coconut bay resort in St. Lucia is a must travel to destination. The resort has something for everyone. Although it looks a little dated, the friendliness, the food, the cleanliness and the service make up for it. Excellent vacation location for families.

Amazing vacation

The Coconut Bay Beach and Resort is a must stay. We were greeted and throughout our stay treated like family. The staff accommodated all of our requests and the food and selection was amazing. We will definitely be going back, this way the first of our many vacation resorts that we felt we could of stayed much longer. Thank you Jeanine and Donald

Excellent resort

The hotel is a little outdated but it’s clean and a amazing staff ,polite and very helpful . The best part is Vernon the yoga teacher ,it’s worth the stay there just to have one session with him . The rooms are spacious and very clean. Many activities for family ,one side for children and another side for adults only .many pools and very good entertainment .Hope I will go back next year FOOD IN THE RESAURANT ARE EXCELENT

Good resort

Very nice grounds Rooms where very clean Staff where very friendly and helpful Food was not bad Very good activities Lobby bar staff was amazing never without a drink Jerk shack was really good Beach was cleaned everyday for sea weed not ones every few minutes Cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the rooms always leaving messages everyday Tell you to have a great day. Also making something and leaving it on your bed with flowers.

Wonderful Resort!

This resort was everything we expected, except you can’t swim in the ocean because of the seaweed. The pools were well-kept, the food was great and the staff was very friendly. The constant breeze kept the temperature perfect. There was entertainment every night. We would definitely return.

Coconut bay resort we had awesome time at resort it had something for everyone and food was great the staff and resort was very nice the entertainment was great for adults and for kids, the activitys was also fun..food was awesome

Very relaxing

Very close (10 min) to airport but not noisy at all. Staff well organized, attentive and pleasant. Rooms perfect. Quiet resort (on adult side) and small. Only resort on the beach so not busy. If you want to relax and have peace and quiet this resort is perfect.

Awesome Resort

We had an absolutely fantastic time. We met some wonderful people, the food was really top quality and the rum! Ted the bartender was amazing and everyone made you feel welcome. The room was a bit lower quality than we expected but the bed was comfortable and it was clean and quiet. All in all I would highly recommend this resort to anyone. Great resort

The resort was amazing. We were on the adults side and loved every minute of it. No matter where you are on the pool side you have ocean view. Lots of choice of chairs, never had to wait for one. Food was great. Entertainment was ok. The room was perfect for my wife and I, AC worked great. The beach is about 1.5 kms long which is amazing. No other resorts around so if you like walking the beach taking the scene in this is the spot for you. Overall great vacation.

Coconut bay resort st lucia

close to airport, resort rooms very nice, ALL resort staff extremely accommodating helpful friendly. Food, drinks, service great. Beach front narrow, long and accessible, with daily maintenance. Kids activities wonderful. Activities hourly with both kids,teens and adults kept in mind.
