Beautiful humans

Spent an amazing week at this resort, met the most beautiful people and had the time of me life. The bar staff keep me super drunk while the entertainment crew keep me more than happy. Food was subpar but eatable. I would definitely recommend. Great beach, great times! Thanks for all the love, respect

First time in beautiful Jamaica!!!!!

Arrived at Royal Decameron Montego Beach for our very first trip to Jamaica check in went smooth front desk staff were very welcoming. This is a small resort which I enjoyed, has everything you need. There always seemed to be lots going on for entertainment through out the day. I will say though I was expecting a little more for a 3 1/2 star resort in Jamaica as far as appearance etc the resort itself is quite dated and in need of some repairs and updating in order to be considered a 3 1/2 st [... read more]ar. I usually vacation in Cuba and have read many reviews comparing the 2 destinations, many say a 3 1/2 star in Cuba is like a 5 star in Jamaica, I found the grounds at any Cuban Resort I’ve stayed at 3 1/2 star to a 4 star were much nicer and in better condition then this resort. I booked our vacation in early November for April and got it at a decent price so there for got what I paid for, if I had paid anymore I would have been disappointed. If you could get a decent price at the sister property next door which is newer you can use both resorts. If you get this resort at a decent price then it’s worth the stay. We stayed in room # 423 in the main building right above the main pool it was a great room with a beautiful view. Note: if you like to go to bed early request a room away from the stage entertainment area because it would be very load and goes sometimes until 11:00pm. Pros: only 5 minutes from the airport - Things to do within walking distance, such as Margaritaville. Restaurants, Doctors Cave beach, hip strip etc - all but 11 rooms are ocean view (I booked run of the house rooms and got ocean view :) - Beaches are nice and could always find a chair with shade pretty much anytime of the day. - Enjoyed the food - Enjoyed the nightly shows/entertainment. - Enjoyed late check out until 3pm $25pp - great AC - Rooms are clean Cons: Buffet tended to run out of things and took awhile to be replenished. - waiting staff has to go too far to get drinks soda’s etc which takes away from their ability to give good service to other waiting guests, would be easier if they had self serve pop machine etc, not enough staff working the buffet at times. - Shower Water temps were all over the map sometimes could turn very hot while in the shower then water could suddenly stop not returning for a few minutes. - Definitely bring your own insulated cup for drinks. - Have to pay for wifi - Have to pay for safe - No fridge in room

Great stay

Hotel was clean and well maintained. I really disliked how you don’t have a fridge nor free safe or wifi. But overall great stay staff very friendly. Really loves “Bar Bar” Alisha at the swim up bar she was amazing. The food was decent but wished they had more variations. Great place for a relaxed vacation and the shows were excellent.

A Good Resort

The Royal Decameron Montego Beach is a resort that needs a lot of updating. The rooms and bathrooms were quite tired and could use a facelift. The rest of the resort was quite good. The food was quite good except they don't replenish very quickly. The Pool areas were quite nice. We never had a problem getting lounge chairs around the pool. We did go to the beach at the Sister Resort next door. It's quite lovely. The evening entertainment was good and the daytime activities were fun. The [... read more] Pool bar and staff was good except always late opening. You can't even get a pop before the first bar opens. We enjoyed our stay but probably won't go back to this resort again.

Amazing Resort

Must be honest, but my wife and myself have been at this resort five times always seem to find wonderful people from all over the world and always have a great time, ocean and beaches area kept very clean.Staff at this Resort are beyond friendly ready and waiting to help you. The entertainment staff likewise are willing to take time to sit down to chat with you. Good Resort

The staff were great, food was good and the location of the hotel was amazing. The biggest issue was the room would run out of hot water and the water would shut off for up to 20 mins while showering.

Absolutely loved this resort

I pretty much loved everything about this resort and can't wait to go back. The staff are so friendly and fun. Food was delicious (could work on keeping food in the trays hot would be my only complaint). The hip strip has so much going on and is right there. I never once felt unsafe. Loved this place.

Our home away from home

We are repeat guests at Royal Decameron Montego Beach. We love the staff and we love the location. The resort provides a great variety of entertainment and nightly shows ... love that!!! We have been vacationing in Montego Bay for over 11 years now and it took some time but we believe we have found our home away from home at Royal Decameron Montego Beach. As we noted in our comments when leaving the resort, we plan on coming back time and time again. The few suggestions that we made were  [... read more]that they need to keep up on their maintenance around the resort as it has slipped a bit, keep it up and keep it beautiful. Better wine selection as the white house wine was not very good at all. Also if repairs are being done and water needs to be shut off temporarily the hotel should let the guests know so that they do not come back to their rooms and find out at the last minute that the toilet will not flush and their is no water for a shower. We also wanted to mention that it was disappointing that so many Cornwall Guest took over so many of the beach chairs beside the Grill Restaurant, it made it very difficult for Montego Beach Guests to get a chair and relax in the smaller main beach area they are provided with, especially since the Cornwall side has such a big beach area and several chairs available to them on the Cornwall side. I understand they have full use of both sides and that we have use of their beach area but as I said it was very difficult to get a chair unless up at 6:30 am and we were their for 15 days and had this issue every day. Just a few little call outs but overall we love this place. We look forward to going back to Royal Decameron Montego Beach again next year and many more years to come. Pretty darn good

The resort was mid size. Everything was close. The food was good. There were few lineups at all. The food was a bit on the spicy side. The drinks were ok. Beer, Red Stripe was good from the taps. The coffee was good. 5 minutes from the airport. A good value resort for Jamaica.

Perfection

We loved this resort. It felt like home. It is small and not a big party place. There wouldn't be much for kids to do. But if you want a relaxing stress free resort, this is the place for you.We loved all the staff. So friendly. Food was awesome. Beds super comfy. Rooms were large and so clean. Weather perfect. All and all a great vacation. God willing, we are going back next year.

Very relaxing vacation

The hotel is dated, however, it is very clean and well maintained, the food selection has improved from our first visit in Feb. 2018. The Entertainment Staff where awesome, kept guests involved. I would suggest more fogging, one our first visit, in Oct. 2017, over the course of 7 days, they fogged 3 times. This time we spent 14 days, and the property in front of the lobby got fogged, and nothing else.

Good Resort

Small resort with beautiful beach, very private. There is room to improve for the appearance of the resort, such as broken stairs, broken docks, unfinished painting....Great entertainment team! Very disappointed as there was no WiFi!

Repeat Guest

Just back from the Royal Decameron Montego Beach All Inclusive Resort in Jamaica. We have been to this property several times. It feels like home. We love the size of the resort, not to big. Close proximity to the airport and right on the ‘Hip Strip’. You can walk right off the resort and do some shopping. The staff is great, food is terrific. Rooms are big, beds are comfortable. Oceanview rooms with large balconies. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed🇯🇲

The view

I have stayed here several times as well as the adjacent sister resort Cornwall beach. The resort is small so you don’t get multiple restaurants. There is one al a carte and the main buffet. I love that they focus on island fare, ox tail, jerk chicken & pork, curry goat, etc. It’s all great and they always have homemade cookies. They both have fantastic ocean views from almost every room. The Royal Decameron Montgomery beach has 144 rooms with only about 10 called run of the house which do not have ocean side balconies. Our balcony was so close to the water that from the third floor we could not even see the small beach below us, only the water which is great with many shades of blue THE VIEWS Are gorgeous. You won't get this view at most other resorts without paying a huge premium. The entertainment is good at night.

Great place. 100%

This is a wonderful place. We would go back in a heartbeat. The people are truly amazing. The food was always wonderful with something for everyone. The entertainment staff is very interactive. We went for a city tour with Darren (with the help of Anne Marie from Air Transat,she is a amazing and always willing to help)great guy went above and beyond, we would recommend him to anyone wanting a taxi ride..honest and knowledgeable. Great resort, friendly staff, great location

First impression was "where have we just booked" when we pulled up, but once inside and on the resort what a beautiful place, great friendly staff, so many things to do. The property is long across the shoreline which was different than we were used to but amazing set up that way one end had the night entertainment the other had a lot of the day entertainment so if you are into one more than the other its easy to pick what side of the hotel you should stay on. Food was really good, we ate at th [... read more]e buffet every day and the food was really great, they also had snack bar which had foods like pizza, burgers, grilled cheese etc. Security was always around the resort and we felt vary safe leaving, there was a lot of local shops out front and down the road to bars. There is a bus from the resort that will also take you to some local bars. Hotel room had everything we needed, room was cleaned daily, if you slept in and let them know you weren't ready to be cleaned they would come back later in the day which was nice. I think throughout the week they came in and did some bug spraying because our suitcases smelt odd even after we came home, but hey...we didnt see any bugs. The ocean views are amazing, we could see sting rays and other fish from our balcony and jumping off the docks and swimming in the crystal clear water was amazing. It was approx 10-15ft off the dock and bouncing on the trampoline was fun also. Never without a place to lay in the sun, chairs were available all the time not like some resorts where people fill them up with their towels nightly entertainment was awesome, extraordinary house band and tons of activities! All around I would definitely recommend this resort we hard a really great experience

Great value

The place is 5 minutes from the airport which is very handy because next time we wont wait for the bus which was about 90 minutes before it left. The facilities are older but very functional. The food was quite good and very different every day. The day time activities were generally fun. The evening show was nothing special but they tried. Great resort and fantastic staff!

This is an older and small resort, but clean. Food was excellent and staff were fantastic. I would recommend this if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing vacation. We felt safe to walk down the hip strip and to Margaritaville.

Scenic Resort

This resort has the best beach on the island. With an amazing activity staff, there is lots to do for every age group. If you want fun, entertainment, good food and very friendly staff, this is your hotel. It is a 3* but you will not even know it once your holiday begins. Non stop fun, beautiful beach, beautiful sunsets. Loved our 1st trip to Jamaica. Thank you friendly people of Jamaica xo
