Amazing Resort! We absolutely loved it!

Awesome Resort

This is such a beautiful resort, it is kept clean and the service is amazing. The staff is friendly and welcome you each day with their Hola. We went as a family and enjoyed the stay. Everyone loved the resort and said that they would return.

Absolutely Divine!

I cannot say enough good things about Majestic Colonial Punt Cana! Did Colonial Club and the perks were awesome! Rooms are beautiful and fully equipped with jacuzzi, shower and stocked mini fridage and coffee maker. Balconies are large with really nice patio chairs. The beach is pristine! Beautiful white sand. No rocks stones or crushed shells. Water turqouise blue. Can walk out for ages! No drop off on entering. No sea weed. Have palapas and palm trees for shade on beach. Buffets full of delicious food and ton of variety. You can get food 24/7 and Colonial club has room service included. Japanese and French are only restaurants need reservation which your concierge will look after for you. The service and staff are fantastic. Danny, our comcierge, was fabulous. helped us many times and checked on us every day to see if we needed anything and did our final check out as well so we didnt have to go to counter. Was like Royalty! The adult only pool bar so much fun. Lorenzo is the greatest bar tender keeping everyone laughing and entertained as well as makes amazing drinks. The foam party a blast! Entertainment great! Michael Jackson show a big hit! Dancing on the terrace to great latin music while sipping margaritas which were the best Ive ever had. Not miles of walking either! We had room 4321 which was central to the beach in one direction and the main buffet and entertainment and lobby the other way. There is a Steak house, Seafood Restaurant and buffet open for breakfast lunch and dinner on the beach. The resort and rooms are immaculately clean. The staff are so friendly. I was at Bahia Principe Esmeralda last year which was pretty nice but after experiencing Majestic there was no comparison. Definitely Majestic Colonial. There are also elevators for the rooms if you are on 3rd or 4th floor handy. The Colonial Club was worth the little bit extra. Adult only and lots extra perks. You also get a free full size bottle of liquor to take home or use in your room. Bonus! I highly recommend this resort. It was perfect in every way and only about 25 minutes from airport by taxi. Thanks again to our concierge Danny! You helped us with so many things. Hope to go back again!.

Terrible! Don't waste your money

The resort booked guests in while they were under construction. They closed the beach, pools, restaurants while they had kept bringing in more guests. The staff were visibly upset as they were told that they're about to lose their jobs. Found cockroaches in the room. Changed rooms and there were still cockroaches. Once construction started on the beach there was a disgusting odor. Don't waste your money.

Amazing resort

Overall, our experience at Majestic Colonial was awesome. The food quality and service were excellent, and it’s worth highlighting how attentive and cordial the staff were. they were always ready to help. I especially enjoyed the fresh fish and fruits. One minor concern was with the housekeeping service. Although we requested our room to be cleaned before 11 a.m., it was usually done in the afternoon. Great experience!!

Majestic Colonial is a beautiful resort. Great attention from the staff, excellent food, clean pool and amazing service in general. However, rooms are not well maintained, pastries and desserts are the wick side of the meals and entertainment is so so. In general I would said it is a great place to visit and spent awesome vacations

Fabulous resort and time spent

Love, love this resort. Amazing right from the start with our wonderful travel agent Monique from Trip Central. Greeted by the grand lobby, stunning pool winding through the beautifully kept grounds to our spectacular out of this world accommodations. Beach steak house restaurant was our go to. Our hioliday wouldn't be complete if not for Aneudy Customer Service and our dear Butler Braymer. They both assured our time spend was perfect. Thanks again and can't wait to see you again!

Wonderful family vacation

The Hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. The grounds, pools, restaurants, lobby were all exceptional. The service by al the staff was outstanding, warm and kind. The food was plentiful and offered variety for guests of all tastes. I recommend this hotel for families and couples who don’t want to break the bank. There’s a lot of value in the property.

Great stay

Hotel is nothing short of excellent. Highly recommend it. We went last November. Came with our family this time. Going again in late November to watch Christmas lites liight up. Again great stay

AWESOME

Cannot say 1 bad thing about this resort. Spectacular beach and pool, awesome service, gorgeous room, terrific food. Our mini fridge was restocked daily. Used coffee maker daily. Staff friendly and willing to do anything for you. The synchronized swimming show in the pool was fantastic .Wide variety of food-something for everyone. All areas very clean. Without a doubt this is our #1 vacation spot.

Great Resort!

We had a great time at the Majestic Colonial. Loved the pools, especially the one on the family side. Even though we had a swim up room on the Club side we spent most of our time on the family side, as the pool is huge. It starts at the beach restaurant and extends all the way down towards the main lobby. It was so much fun floating down the long pool. Enjoyed the Steakhouse and the Japanese restaurants. The beach is beautiful. If you want to find a beach chair you may have to go early in the morning or wait until after lunch. If you are a cat person you will love all the cats on the resort. Most are friendly. Bring some cat food or treats, as they are always on the hunt for food. This resort has a lot of repeat customers, as the service is great and the resort is absolutely beautiful.

Love this resort !

We had a wonderful stay at Majestic Colonial . We stayed at Majestic Elegance last year so I was interested to see how the Colonial would compare as it is said to be lower budget . The colonial did not disappoint and I found it to be quite similar to Elegance maybe just a bit more dated. We did room service pizza almost everyday for lunch and it was so good . The omelette and crepe stations in the morning for breakfast were always a hit. We did a swim up room and I don’t think I could ever do a resort another way after the experience . It was so convenient not to have to fight for a chair by the pool and to know we always had a shade spot . We stayed on the club side and had an amazing butler named Jacob , he truly went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience ! Will definitely be returning .

Lovely resort!

I loved this resort. We had excellent service, and exceptional food. Everything was clean and well maintained! The staff were fun and engaging. The drinks were better at certain bars, but overall no complaints! Would definitely go back.

Amazing experience

I have been to a few different resorts and so far this has been my favourite! I will definitely return. And also recommend to friends looking for vacations. The resort was very clean with a lot of amenities, we did not feel like we went without. The staff was very friendly while also maintaining professionalism.

Great resort for the price!

First time at a Majestic resort although I have been to several others in this price range. This was a good one! It was very clean, service was excellent, and there was lots of entertainment and night life. The week I went, the resort was full of spring breakers. They were generally polite and well behaved, it was nice to see people having fun. And lots of opportunities for the generations to mix. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. only complaint about the room and it's a big one: why the open concept bathroom? who wants that? I understand it is common in the area. (to be clear the shower and toilet are each behind a frosted glass door, but they face an open space that includes the sinks and tub. You wouldn't want anyone coming to the room while someone is using the toilet, they would have to walk right past and would get a view of the person's knees through the frosted glass!) Beach was lovely although the shade/palapa areas were very tightly crowded together. The hotel was full, yet we were able to get lounge chairs by the pool at any time, at the quiet end of the pool if nowhere else. OK with me. By mid-afternoon spots tended to open up in the shade at the beach. This is better than some. The evening entertainment was excellent! We only attended two shows in the theatre and both were great. The absolute best and most memorable was the rock show. My compliments to all of the performers: singers, dancers, the band, and the lead guitarist. Everyone was professional and very talented. I felt privileged to see that show. The second show we saw was the Michael Jackson show (I think every resort does one of these) Very good dancing and lip synching and very entertaining. But nothing like the live vocals and live music of the rock show. Meals were OK. We had a couple of great ones (once at the Rodeo Grill steak house, and the other at Le Gourmet), and others that were just OK, but I don't like to complain - with the logistics of feeding so many people it must be hard to keep everything just so. I certainly got enough to eat, lots of variety and plenty of healthy choices. One thing I didn't like: on our first day one of the animation crew approached my husband and me by the pool and asked if we were having fun, then asked us to scan a QR code on his phone and leave a 5 star review, right then and there. We did explain it was our first day and we would leave a review after our vacation. I thought oh darn, did I make a mistake? I chose this resort because of the good reviews but is this how they get those good reviews? Anyway here I am writing a good review after returning. It really was one of the better experiences we have had in this price range. I would return and would recommend it to friends. Also: please bring cash for tips - perhaps a percentage of what you paid for your vacation - and plan to spend it! We are privileged to be able to have a vacation like this and the staff depend on the tips.

Wonderful Resort

We had 2 weeks of nothing short of living in paradise. The Majesty Mirage was clean , friendly staff, excellent food and service was great. Our butler Yordy Cedeno was the best one could ask for as he took care of everything each day. Noemi at at the Italian restaurant and the Seaside restaurant at lunch was awesome. Amazing Resort

Among the top 3 resorts I’ve been in my 35 yrs of travelling. The grounds were beautiful and continuously maintained. The buffet and specialty were very good with a variety of food there was always something to eat. Pools were beautiful, ocean seating was excellent as well, especially the Bali beds! We had Butler service (Juan) and we seen him at least twice daily to ensure all our needs were met.

Great Resort

Beautiful resort. Grounds, pool and lounging areas are well maintained. The room was spacious and staff cleaned and restocked it everyday. Played Golf at local course where they had a deal with the resort which was fantastic. Only complaint would be cold food. They seemed to struggle in this area.

Great value for the price!

The grounds are well kept. Eating in a large buffet on the beach is a bonus for breakfast and for lunch. The rooms are a bit tired looking but the beds are comfortable. Apparently, it is getting renovated next year. The meals were good, some limits in fruits (no berries, no real greek yogurt). The beach was busy but excellent, clear water, no seaweed, great waves, excellent walking for miles in either direction. The drinks (we are not big drinkers) were nothing special, too sweet and not enough fresh fruit used in many of the drinks. The champagne was good! The coffee was good. There was entertainment every night and a live band and if you wanted to catch a show that you missed, you could walk over to the Majestic Elegance to catch the show at that venue, you just cant drink or eat there, We enjoyed the resort and thought it was great value for the price we paid.
