Amazing Staff!

I stayed at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach property in Montego Bay Jamaica during April 2022. While the facilities themselves (mainly the rooms) could use a bit of an upgrade I could not have more positive things to say about the staff at this hotel. We traveled for a girls trip and had the most exceptional experience thanks to the staff. One of our biggest shoutouts has to go to Oneil and Akeem who work the night shift at the front desk. They went above and beyond to help us feel safe and sec [... read more]ure each night (providing us with security to escort us to and from our room overnight, etc.). They were patient, gracious, kind and endearing - all qualities that made us feel comfortable and safe which was of utmost priority to us. We did experience a slight mechanical issue with our AC in the middle of the night and Oneil was able to find us a maintenance staff member (one who I regret I did not get the name of) who again, went above and beyond, back and forth in the middle of the night determined to ensure we were happy and comfortable. The bar staff throughout the resort was overall very helpful, friendly, and entertaining. I only wish that all of the guests would recognize that the bartenders were human beings as well and treat them as such. But, between entitled guests and crazy crowds all of the bar staff provided each and every guest service with a smile and made us feel completely entertained and taken care of. Our drinks were refilled without even asking, they learned our names, and made specialty cocktails to suit our tastes! Special shout out to the bartenders who work at the pool: Oshane, Andrew, Kerrando, Roshane, Allistair and more who I am surely forgetting on account of what a good time we were having! We were met with quite a bit of rain (liquid sunshine) during our trip but that did not stop any of the bar/entertainment staff from ensuring everyone enjoyed their stay. We especially want to thank Zugu, Pierre and Lettuce for showing us a good time no matter what the weather had in store for us! Finally, Tasiana of guest services and Percy a taxi driver for the hotel - you both provided me with such amazing service for all of our special requests/needs and I will never forget your absolute kindness. It left a lasting impression on me and I will certainly recommend Iberostar Rose Hall Beach to anyone who is interested in the property. Other notes: The food was good at the buffet, download the app so you can see what types of themed nights are planned to plan for your other reservations accordingly. Drink service could be faster. Restaurant reservation process could be made a bit fairer, some guests booked ahead via email, some did not know this was an option. To be fair, everyone should just book once they are at the hotel. We went to the spa at the Suites property, great facility, they told us to leave our hotel at 10:25 for a 10:30 appointment, by the time we got a shuttle, filled out the forms and got into the massage room it was 10:40, so they cut our service by 10 min. Be early for your appointments, or get clarity on the timing. Staff at the Fiction nightclub for guests only hosted on the Suites property were also fantastic! We couldn't see their names clearly but they were beyond nice, again, treating your bartenders well is just basic human decency. I hate to emphasize that tipping gets you good service because actually, everyone in Jamaica will treat you well regardless of whether you tip or not, you should however tip to show your appreciation in addition to being a polite and gracious guest! Say thank you and tip generously, it's the least you can do :).

JAMAZING TIME!

The hotel staff were all great, and super friendly. Special Shout out to some jamazing workers though, Stringbean with the activity crew, Jevon at the bar and Evette in the dining area. We connected most with these 3 and they were nothing but phenomenal. My only negative here was that our room smelt of mildew, I dont think there is enough bathroom ventilation and so humid in there due to weather and moisture. Food was delicious, temperature was hit or miss sometimes. Ton's of variety in the buffet for all. Al la carte Restaurants were good too. Japanese was our favourite but we had a yummy tenderloin at the steak restaurant and loved the ravioli at the Italian restaurant. Went to the disco once, we had a good time. Saw some shows which were pretty good a magic show and Michael Jackson. Lots of activities through the day to keep you busy if that's your thing. Thanks for everything!

Amazing Resort

I loved this resort for its size. I never liked resorts where you have to take a cart to get anywhere or you have to walk quite far between buildings. This hotel is right on the beach and the pools seem to be so close. The children's play area and pool is away from the other pools. The bars are well stocked and the bartenders are friendly and will make you anything you want. This is not a rowdy place. People were having fun without the falling down drunks. Awesome clean resort

Great food! Clean spacious rooms. Lots fun activities. Staff polite and courteous. One complaint is if you don't wake up by 7:30-8 am to get a lounge chair by the pool you will not get one for the rest of the day. People put towels or books on chairs to reserve then leave and don't come back for hours. This was frustrating for me.

Great Resort. Will return.

Well kept, Rooms clean but could use some fresh touches. Food, Excellent selections at Buffet and Restaurants. Staff Superb and friendly. Only suggestion would be to limit the Vendors at the beach. One afternoon I saw about 20 kayaks parked at the beach and we could hardly get in the water without being harassed. Overall, excellent resort with beautiful ocean view even with our standard room.

Above Expectations

Everthing about this resort is first class. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. Beautiful spacious room (Ocean Front junior suite) . Nice flight with Air Canada on spacious plane. The food was fantastic. Do your own research on any excursions you might wish to take. Air Canada's agent's recommendations and follow through were very inadequate.

Great Resort Will Go Back

Our week at the Iberostar Rose Hall was great. We didn't have the best weather but the staff more than made up for that. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. They made us feel so welcome. The only down fall was the food at the buffet. The food was good but did not change from day to day. More variety or even a theme night would have been great. It was "same old same old" every day.

Excellent resort

We had a wonderful time at Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. We liked everything about our experience: the grounds and facilities; the beach and pool; the friendliness of the staff; the buffet and a la carte restaurants. We especially enjoyed the variety of items at the buffets (both the main one and the one near the dive shop where we had lunch daily) and the inclusion of Jamaican dishes and fruits and vegetables. We requested a room change and this was facilitated with superb efficiently by Romaine.

Amazing resort

Very beautiful hotel clean friendly food was amazing one concern we had it was very very damp wet in our rooms all our clothes are wet bedding was wet the Floors were soaking wet we got back home in we ended up very sick from all the dampness but other than that beautiful beautiful hotel

Very good value for money

Buffet - 9/10 Restaurants - 5/10 Beach - 7/10 : the only thing we didn't like is a lot of seeweed starting somewhat 10-30 m from the beach Room - 8/10 Cleanness - 9/10 In overall, very good value for money, calm sandy sea, service is good and friendly, rooms are big enough and clean, beach is clean, a lot of beds/umbrellas.

Good but not great

We recently (Nov2019) stayed at this hotel . It’s was our first family vacation with our little one who is 2. First impressions were that lobby was very nice and elegant. Staff quickly checked us in but did however try to get us to come to the “welcome breakfast” aka time share meeting. Our room didn’t have the view I anticipated. The balcony had a high concrete wall so couldn’t see much. I even asked the front desk if any other room were available. Supposedly they were too full. Since we had our little doing a restaurant didn’t seem like the right fit for us so we stuck to the buffet, which was great. Everyday there was lots of options however I could tell food was repurposed. In addition, there was lots of construction which took away from the beautiful grounds . I avoided taking pictures of that side. The beach was beautiful and clean . Excellent view! I loved how the wifi connection was throughout the entire property. For this being our first family trip I think it was a good starting point. Definitely wished my husbands birthday was celebrated as I requested multiple times.

Exceptional in Every Way Possible

Our second stay at The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach. It was a perfect week! The people that work at The Iberostar are what makes this resort so fantastic. The grounds are impeccable someone is always taking care. The flowering trees, shrubs and cactus are all a picture. The entertainment group is fun. Very creative with activities for all ages. 4 Star Vacation

This was our second time to Beach Resort. Also, been to Suites. I read about upgrades for return guests, nothing! Husband did get a bottle of rum for his birthday, very appreciated. We were basically in the same room as last time, only lower floor. Oceanview and lovely. AC worked great. Restaurants are very good except Italian. Food was cold, and staff unpleasant. Guests kept bringing them food and drinks. Smoking was allowed everywhere, disgusting! They do not enforce dress code. Beach and pool staff for drinks and games were fun and amazing. This hotel chain is going green. Bring your own straws! Would return.

Great resort!

This resort is amazing. We had such a great time here. Staff on the resort are so kind and friendly. Very clean. Everything you need on the resort is very close together. No need to walk far distances. Pool overlooks beach. The beach is very clean and water is warm and clear. Would go again.

Very Nice Resort

We were a bit worried before we left only because we heard from others that one pool was closed along with the main buffet and theater. Luckily for us everything opened by the time we arrived! Our room was perfect,clean,nice ocean view,fresh smell. Our balcony was large but only 2 small chairs and a table.It was large enough for lay out beds but not available even when requested. We ate at two of the a la cartes and the buffet with no complaints. The coffee,cappuccino and ice coffee with rum cream at the lobby bar were all delicious and a must try! I gained a few pounds on this vacation. The staff was amazing! Entertainment staff, Macaroni, Lettuce, Pineapple, sparkles, Chocolate were all amazing! the bartenders and wait personnel are great and work very hard to make sure your taken care of. The cleaning staff are great, Everything was as it should be, very clean and well kept. The only downfall of this resort for me was that I like to be able to walk off the resort and wander around town, not much to do or see within walking distance. Overall our vacation was great and would recommend to friends. Would also return for a relaxing vacation.

Good Resort

The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach is the lower end of three Iberostar all-inclusives on the same stretch of beach. The other 2 higher end places must be great because the Beach is a really good place. The food and service were very good with a couple of minor service hiccups. The room was nice and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. Good Hotel

Rooms were clean beds comfortable public washrooms very clean bars and restaurants and pool areas are amazing..Meals are very good with lots of choices for everyone... Staff were overwhelmed @ times but all in all they were friendly and very helpful in everything

Good resort

The hotel, location, food, and people are excellent, beach is good but not everyone will be able to tolerate very loud music on the beach. The level of noise definitely exceeded safe for hearing level. Based on the foregoing this resort can be recommended for young generation while family with kids should either consider less noisy locations or take ear plugs.

Perfect vacation

Went there May 6, 2019. Smaller resort, but perfect. 15 minute bus ride from the airport. Beautiful beach/sand. Clear ocean water with no weeds/grass. Food is awesome, especially if if you like the local food - jerk chicken, oxtail, curried chicken, curried goat, beef & chicken patties and much more. The non-local/standard resort food is very good as well (pizza/pasta, turkey, roast beef, grilled steak, chicken, burgers etc). All the staff are great. They want to return here instead of exploring other destinations or resorts.

Amazing Resort

First time staying at an Iberostar and we were not disappointed. Room was very clean. The air conditioning in the room was amazing the fridge was well stocked. We stayed in room 1249 and we were close to everything. The beach was only a couple of steps down from the pool. The sand was nice and clean and the water was crystal clear. Food was amazing.
