Horrible Experience

I have been to Jamaica about 12 times. It is truly my favourite place. I have even stayed at the Lady Hamilton resort beside the Grand Palladium. To say this trip was a disappointment is an understatement. The room was not correct and the staff at the front desk were upset it needed to be changed. We were told to be at our room at 4 pm the following day to switch rooms and no one showed up. We called the front and we were hung up on 5 times. We went to the front desk at 8 pm and were told we we [... read more]re not in our room on time. We were finally switched. No towels and no blanket for the beds. We waited hours to get a blanket the first night and we had to do the same once we were moved. Our room never had the floors cleaned our beds were only made twice. We asked for towels daily and only got fresh towels twice. Our fridge was only stocked with water twice. We were told they were out of beer the first day. We were ignored at the pool bar multiple times. Staff was extremely rude. Our bus for the excursion never showed up and when we asked our rep she said it was a systems error. Our luggage was missed on our way home and we had to point out yet another error. No welcome drinks. Ignored at the front desk. We felt like an inconvenience. The staff at the restaurants were amazing but everywhere else was very disappointing. We felt ignored and we felt we were an inconvenience. I will never go back to the grand palladium. We waited a long time to travel and we spent a lot of money for an extreme disappointment.

Disappointed

Ground was good, Room service and quality was bad our room was not done one day Food service was very poor There were not enough staff to do the job We have been to most of the islands in the In the past 30 years and this was our second visit to Jamaica I have have word as a physician in Trinidad & Tobago in the 90’s

Beautiful grounds!

Grounds very nice and well maintained. Evening entertainment - very poor Rooms clean - but no blankets or comforters!!!!!???? Why? It wasn't only in my room... Very poorly decorated too. Food good, tasty, quite a variety. Alcohol and drinks - just fair. Very disappointing. Service - super unorganized and slow! Staff - rather not nice and not smiling than sympathetic. Looks like this resort was poorly managed in many aspects. Not like other Grand Palladium I've been.

Beautiful resort with one issue

Everything was perfect. Service above average for the most part. Grounds, rooms,scenery, pool, spa, various a la carte restaurants were all more than adequate until we saw a cockroach on the buffet food area on the fifth day. For that reason can’t recommend. Unfortunate because it was so nice. We don’t travel much. Don’t forget your stomach remedies-maybe Dukoral before you leave.

Grand Palladium

What a beautiful resort,it is very large and spacious,great for getting you walking,the pool is very large so nice you’re not surrounded by people.We had so many choices of food and drinks everyday.The staff very friendly and helpful.I loved their coffee bar great choice of coffee and desert,I can’t wait to go back there with my husband this trip was a sisters getaway,all the staff new we were and called us three sisters, so sweet. ❤️

Ok resort

The resort is very big so be prepared to walk lots. Food was good. Steak restaurant best. No snack bar by pool except the jerk hut. Rooms clean and staff friendly. Infinity bar is awesome and so is coffee shop.

Really nice resort

Our entire experience was great. Right from the help our TripCentral agent Wendy provided us by giving us insight and options of where to travel. We decided on Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa. As soon as we landed and passed customs we were directed to our Air Canada Vacations person. Our first real contact with a local was the bus driver. I will never forget that moment. He said, "First time in Jamaica?" I said "Yes, and he said, "Welcome to Jamaica. One Love my brother." And I thought "WO [... read more]W" what a culture and what a greeting. We (6 of us) were there for 7 nights. The staff was great, and everyone including the grounds people were always greeting us and so friendly. The place was very clean and the food options at the resort are plenty and very good. The rooms were spacious and clean as well. Overall an excellent trip. The pools area and the kids area are great. The beach areas are pretty good but maybe not for those who mainly like the beach as it was not a large beach area, but definitely was clean and workers raked any seaweed that was there so it was pleasant to hang out at the beach as well. One thing I would suggest for families wishing for connecting rooms is, when you work with your Agent, to ensure that you book as a Family and request connecting rooms. We booked separate rooms and made a request for connecting rooms... But the resort did not have any available. They were very good though by getting us rooms side by side the next day. But if you wish to have connecting rooms make sure you book as a 'Family' that way, at least at this resort they provide a large room with an adjoining smaller room so that a family of 4 can easily stay.

Nice resort

Quick check in, good food. Stayed on the Jamaican side. Rooms a little tired but no issues other then rooms was double booked, but was quickly resolved.Rained everyday, however mornings were good. I love Jamaica. People, they are so friendly.

Great time as always

This was our 6th visit to the Palladium and we had a great time as always. Staff are friendly, food was good, and grounds were very well maintained. Stayed for 10 days, want to do longer next time. Highly recommended.

The Lady Hamilton is not just a resort. It is a hidden jewel in paradise.

This resort caters to all ages with activities, a pleasant mix of international cuisine and overall Jamaican charm. The staff was amazing. The blend of travellers from all over the world reflect the warm environment we experienced (again)! The clean, spacious suites were impressive, the overall maintenance of the resort was noticeable. There is no singular event or activity that would stand out because the overall experience, from start to finish, was impressive and completely satisfying.

Great resort!

This was by far the nicest resort we've ever stayed at. Buildings and grounds are well maintained. Rooms are spacious and clean with a nice balcony, showing a bit of wear in spots but I understand they are planning to renovate rooms on the Jamaica side this year. Beaches were ok. Infinity Beach is a little more crowded than the Sunset Cove Beach. Get there early to stake out a chair. Sunset Cove a bit quieter and easier to find a chair. We never went to Coral beach but it looked to be without any extra amenities and didn't seem to have many chairs around but if you're looking for quiet and fewer people, it would fit the bill. The beaches are private so you don't have people constantly trying to sell you something. There are resort people pushing the travel club and the spa though. Main pool was impressive. I heard many people complaining about the pool water being cold but I thought it was fine. You need to get there early to get a chair around the pool. Both Jamaica and Lady Hamilton also have smaller pools with their own bars if you like something quieter. Lots of activities to choose from during the day. Fitness crew put on some great aquafit classes. Evening entertainment at the theatre was ok but seemed to be basically the same dancing and singing but just with different music each night. Evening entertainment at the Infinity Bar was good, especially loved when they had live music. As far as food, the a la carte restaurants are fabulous. We ate at the steakhouse (twice), Italian, and Japanese for dinner and Poseidon for lunch. Hibachi at the Japanese restaurant was a great experience. The Jerk Huts at the beaches were good for a quick afternoon bite to eat. We spent a lot of time at the Sports Bar playing pool or grabbing a snack or meal from either their buffet or off the menu. Breakfast food at the two buffet restaurants is tasty and they have a decent selection but both seemed to serve the same thing and not much changes from day to day. Lunch at the Blue Lagoon buffet was good. All in all, a great vacation and would highly recommend this resort.

Great place for a holiday

Are stay was awesome , Staff was very friendly and helpful . Prince on entertainment , Alicia and Power man at the archery just to name some of them that made are stay that much better .The food was great ,whether in the sports bar or in the steakhouse . Thanks again for a great week , will definitely be returning .

Review: Grand Palladium Jamaica

This resort was fabulous! The resort was so beautiful and had so much to offer that we decided to stay on site rather than go on excursions. The staff were super friendly & helpful. I would highly recommend.

Awesome Resort!

Food was delicious, from the buffet to the restaurants, it was all very well done! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds and pool were very clean! Wedding was beautiful and well set up. It was a great vacation with friends and family!

Amazing resort

Was a great week! We were there for a family wedding and was such a great location. Resort is older but well maintained, beautiful architecture and very clean. Food was fantastic with lots of selection and several different types of restaurants. Lots of daily activities and I especially enjoyed the daily water aerobics, spin classes in the water and yoga. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beautiful Jamaican weather was a bonus too. 😎 I highly recommend this resort to others!

Perfect getaway

Loved the resort it was the greatest vacation I’ve ever had. The resort itself was very well maintained and the staff were all very friendly. The food at the buffet was amazing and all the a la carte restaurants were very nice. I would highly recommend the grand palladium.

Wedding at the grand palladium

We searched and searched for a perfect resort to hold our wedding ceremony, we came across the Grand palladium Jamaica. It was everything and more then we expected. They made our special day one we will never forget. From the wedding planning staff to the servers at the bar we were treated like friends and family. We brought 48 people will us and all of them told us how happy they were with the resort and how amazing of a time they had. The food, drinks and activities are unbeatable here. Great friends. Great food. Great resort.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed this trip so much. We were there to watch my best friend get married which I was a bridesmaid for. I highly recommend this place. The good was fantastic! The entertainment staff always made sure something was happening and the drinks were good.

What a happy ending!

We were headed to Dominican On Christmas Day, however, on Christmas Eve we received a brief email from Canabay Resorts informing us that the flights we had booked in May were unconfirmed. We were frantic but couldn’t reach anyone until Boxing Day. After contacting Jairus at Tripcentral we found a room was available at Grand Palladium Jamaica. What a fantastic resort. Great Vacation

We had a great vacation at the Grand Palladium! The hotel is big enough but not too big to navigate. The people, the pool and the food were awesome! We enjoyed our kid free vacation and have already decided to return with our kids someday!
