AMAZING RESORT

This was my husbands and my 5th time to this resort, and again, it did not disappoint! Everything was perfect. Great food, clean rooms, beautiful grounds. The only thing that was not good was the beach/ocean. There was a lot of seaweed on the beach, which they tried to clean all the time, but there was a lot in the ocean as well. I will definitely be back!

Loved this resort!

There were 16 of of us in the family and we all enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful local people offered wonderful, friendly service. We didn't want for anything. It was so easy to get from one place to another and tried it all. We will definitely be back!

Excellent resort

Everything was super clean, food was great , staff were over the top friendly and helpful Fantastic in every way I wouod definitely go back and recommend to friends and family and I expect to return again

Beautiful resort!

Majestic Elegance is really beautiful. The resort and beach are super clean. The rooms are nice and large. It's a large place but most restaurants are in a general location and easily reached. Multiple bars to choose from at various locations. The staff really makes the place the best.

Fantastic Resort

Just spent an amazing week at the Majestic Elegance. We have stayed at the Majestic Mirage twice and thought we would try the Elegance. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were spacious. We found that the pools could use a bit of repairing - there were lots of tiles missing at the bottom of the pool. The beach is spectacular and didn’t have any problem getting a chair. Not worth the price

i started looking at this hotel because i had extra credit from a canceled trip. we have travelled to a number of all inclusives in the carribean usually 4*, twice in la romana first time in punta cana in the dr. i was looking for quality, beach and entertainment. we stayed in the family section as opposed to club section, so had no butler. i had signed up for the fb page and had a number of questions answered. thank you the incoming flight was uneventful and when we arrived had no tro [... read more]uble at checkin. the wrist band which looks like a wooden looney or silver dollar is your room key, which i wish every resort would do this. apparently air canada has the normal plastic wrist band not sure why. We went to the sunwing orientation and the rep was useless he gave no info on the hotel just wanted to sell excursions. thank you facebook page. the room for the price was ok. the tv came with no channel guide posted in the room. there is a separate bathroom and shower rooms the two sinks are in the main room. the only 2 issues i had with the room were asked but never addressed. there was a broken switch in the bathroom and the patio door had no handle on the outside so you had to use your hand to open it from the outside? what makes this hotel is the absolutely fantastic beach which seemingly goes on forever which it shares with other hotels along the beach so you could chose another hotel along the beach and not miss out. we went in feb and all days were windy and of the 10 days 4 days the weather was not great. the place is large and if you have mobility issues don't stay here there are no carts driving around. the food for the price was good and varied. not great a lot of fruit and desserts, pasta station and meat cooking station. my biggest issue 80% of the food is not labeled. i don't eat seafood, not allergic, and don't want to waste food by having to spit it out. most hot food was luke warm not hot. the service in the buffet or ala cartes was sporadic. we ate at italian ok, gourmet ok and japanese better. the greatest disappointment was the entertainment there were typical shows you'd see at 3 or 4 star resorts. the karoke show was in the theater and at one point someone sang a song about suicide, another was a woman and 2 little kids did a rap song with fk and btch, apparently she thought the song was supposed to be edited. in my opinion they should change some shows to the beatles, abba,elvis. a number of events, silent disco, foam party were never posted i just happen to be in the lobby or pool when they took place, what else did we miss. the nightly entertainment other than the posted shows were sporadic and not every night. we watched the first half of the superbowl in the theater and at halftime walked down to the beach because there was supposed to be a beach party. there was nothing going on at our beach but in the distance at the sister beach we could see lights on the beach, they were showing the superbowl, which we watched i thought it was another resort and not sure if we could eat or drink so we didn't. i would defiantly had watched the entire game on the beach. i found the communication from the front desk and other staff inconsistent. mixed answers to questions and some staff were not friendly. most staff were friendly. the flight home from sunwing left us stranded at the airport for a day and a half with little to no communication from sunwing when situations occurred and we were canceled at the last minute twice, a snow storm at home caused problems for all airlines but the sunwing people were treated with total disrespect. lack of communication was the biggest issue. i tried to keep this short and only spoke of things i thought unique to this resort. i'm basing my review based on the higher price and expectations. if you booked it don't worry it is a beautiful well maintained resort. i would not return to this hotel mostly because i thought for the price i expected better entertainment, events posted and issues resolved. for the money i would go to sandals or secrets other known high end resorts.

Incredible and amazing resort

We enjoyed this resort so much! The grounds were incredible and Spotless, and the pool and beach were absolutely breathtaking! The dining experience was great, all the food tasted delicious. Our room was wonderful and bed was very comfortable.We had a cute balcony and snacks and refreshments! I think the staff and our Butler Peter made our trip a trip to remember! They are happy, always smiling and make you feel welcome!

Great resort

This was our 3rd time at the Majestic Elegance and we have also stayed at the Colonial and Mirage. We stayed in the club and it was well worth all the little extras you are entitled to. We had a wonderful Butler “Victor” who was always there for us. The staff at the main pool bar were awesome especially Salome. At the main lobby bar we were always greeted with smiles and drinks from Roberto, Miquel and Manual . Great time at a great resort.

Excellent Elegance

We had a great time again at the Majestic Elegance for the second time. We upgraded to to club section and it was worth it as we had a great butler (Victor) who book all our diners and golf. We had great weather for the 12 days we were there. Our room was good and the bed was comfortable only complaint would be that our AC just worked. There was no problems getting loungers either by the pool or the beach. The beach was great and water was clear and warm .

Well staffed

This resort was beautiful, clean and well maintained. We found the food to be quite good; in particular the steakhouse and the buffet. The Italian restaurant was loud. We stayed in the Elegance Club, adults only section and there were lots of Bali beds poolside. We also had a swim up room and the only drawback was that there was no ladder in front of our room to get into the pool. I use a cane and had to make my way around the shrubs to get to the neighbour's ladder to get in and out of the pool [... read more]. This Resort is extremely well staffed and we wanted for nothing. I also felt very safe at this resort. We were with a party of 50 people and they all seemed to really like the resort. I want to give a shout out to our wonderful butler, Richard and our maid Mirabelle. Also Ishmael at the Elegance Club pool bar was very friendly and efficient. I would return to this resort.

Mother and Daughter Getaway

My daughter and I just returned from a week at Majestic Elegance Club section. This was my 6th visit to this amazing resort and my daughter's 2nd. I am already planning a return in February. We were blessed with Olbis Rijo as our butler and he was just amazing and a true sweetheart!! He found us every day to see if we needed anything. He made our dinner reservations, provided us with a bottle of Bailey's for our morning coffees and also provided us with aromatherapy in our room. We are not very  [... read more]needy but Olbis was always there for us when we did need him. This trip was meant for pure relaxation and that is just what we did. We spent every day on the beach and just chatted and drank and people watched. It was great to see the ladies at the Club bar on the Elle side. Maxima, Anjelina, and Santa as well as sweet Walliam. They were all amazing and remembered us from previous visits. Service was perfect and they always knew what we were drinking. There are so many others that were also amazing but the names are not coming to mind. The weather was perfect the entire week. It was VERY hot and there were a few brief showers lasting no longer than about 10 minutes. We went to the lower lobby bar every evening and were always greeted like family by Roberto, Miguel and Manny. They also remembered us from previous visits and treated us like family. We ate at the International once, and 3 visits to the steak house as well as the See & Sea and Flavours buffet. My daughter is a bit of a picky eater so chose not to attend the italian or Japanese. Regardless, everything we had was excellent and filling. We enjoyed this trip so much that we hope to make it an annual Mother and Daughter getaway. We have been to many other PC resorts and this has become our home. I have absolutely no desire to visit other resorts and we will continue to make our trips to Majestic Elegance Club as often as we can. It is heaven!!

Elegance at the Elegance

What a beautiful resort.,You really feel that you are in the tropics with all the beautiful Palm trees and flowers. The food is amazing. I have never had such great service. Everyone is smiling and waving. Our butler Richard was awesome. Beto at the Italian restaurant went above and beyond. I will definitely be back again!

Beautiful Resort

This was our second stay at this resort and it was just as beautiful as I remembered. I was disappointed when we arrived as I had called ahead twice sharing that we were bringing two other couples for their first time and requested a building and to be all together. This didn’t happen unfortunately and they tried to separate us and the building we reheated was not available they said. After a long wait we didn’t manage to at least get in the same building. The food was great and service was good [... read more]. Few days not enough towels in room but we were able find some. My son dealt with our butler on behalf of all of us which was Jose. He was wonderful and went over and above to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We loved the beach bags waiting for us upon our arrival ! They were well used and appreciated !

Second time staying at Majestic Elegance and it was perfect as usual!

Everything was perfect as usual. Will be returning again! Grounds are well maintained and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. This was our second stay and will be back again soon! Our butler and maid were excellent.

Another awesome vacation

We are returning guests to this Resort for the third time. Each time it seems that the resort has raised the bar. We had zero issues. Check-in was fast and easy. All of the restaurants and buffets were quite enjoyed by all of us. It is awesome to not have to worry about really booking anything, you just show up. The staff were attentive and the grounds were kept impeccably. Super clean and fresh. Santiago was our Butler on the Elegance Club side. We have met him in the past and he does his very  [... read more]best to ensure that your stay is outstanding. We cannot thank him enough again for any assistance he provided. All in all, the resort is a definite go to. We have traveled extensively to many resorts and this is the only one that we have actually returned to knowing what we are going to get.

Amazing resort!

Rooms were great. Enjoyed our private patio. Food was amazing. Proximity to the beach was very close. Everything was great! I would definitely return. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Epic Girls trip

This was my third trip to this resort. Start to finish, an amazing trip. Rooms were perfect. Meals were great. Modesto, our butler was attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. I loved seeing staff from years past. Roberto at the lobby bar was hilarious and makes the best margarita. Thank you again Majestic for another perfect trip.

We love the Majestic

This was our 4th visit to the Majestic Resort; we have stayed twice at the Elegance, once at the Colonial and once at the Mirage. They are all great. Our most recent visit was to the Elegance and the facility, staff and rooms are great. Food is good and it's fairly close to the airport so no long bus ride to and from the resort. The ocean is pretty wavy but the beaches are well kept. This will continue to be our go to resort in the Caribbean!

Great Staff

First visit to the this hotel - stayed in Adult Club section. Had a wonderful trip: All staff, were amazing, friendly and efficient. They also assign a concierge/butler (download WhatsApp to communicate with them) they are your go to for any issues, information, or assistance with booking (restaurants or golf for example) ours was a star! No 5 star hotel

the reception area is magnificent and the main bar on the lower level is open and bar staff are very good. A Big high 5 to Antony and Manuel! Try Manuel's specials. Lots of top shelf liquors and while restaurants are plentiful, they do not ooze the 5 star experience. All staff, from gounds keepers to bar staff were happy to help and pleasant, always a smile. Not so consistant with staff in restaurants. Seating before 8pm was a "normal" challange. It would have been helpful if you had the  [... read more]option to book reservations at all a la carte restaurants via your butler. We stayed in the Adult Section; beach area for Adult only was very limited. The Balinese beds were very comfortable and spacious, but limited in number and located mostly around the pool. The resort itself is huge and is in the center of the Colonial and Mirage complexes. Kind of sandwiched in between the two other properties. The grounds were maticulous, wish the hotel would incorporate a tip option for grounds keepers. The wines were Spanish, but not of high quality. Food in the a la cartes was a bit hit and miss. The French was not good on our first visit, but on our next it was like a totally different experience. Service in a la cartes, is a bit chaotic. You are asked what you want to drink, order then halfway through your meal, you ask again or just go to the bar yourself. It seems that they have enough staff, but duties may be too specific for each of the staff. Appears like organized chaos. Get one waiter to handle everyones beverage and meal orders, then if they need help, have them ask for assistance, rather than relying on the water guy to fill your glass, the one waiter to bring your drink, the other waiter to bring your food. The staff clearing plates needs to be more cautious of liquids on plates, I got my pants christened with beef juice when they removed my pate. I personally found that the rooms are dated and need attention to temperature controls actually being operational. Our A/C was either not working or on full "icy chill". We had 4 maintenance calls and spent around 4 hours in our room waiting for them to arrive, assess and not be able to correct the A/C issue. We hung a bath towel up on a hook , it fell off; yet no one ( chamber maid) thought to call maintenance, we weren't going to wait around for them to come to fix it. The toilet roll cover fell off, same deal. The shower was amazing, large rainfall shower head and lots of hot water. Bar service on the beach, yes they come to you... was excellent. The two that stuck out the most was Jenny and Judit( Judy) were great. As was the bartender Francisca. The unsung gem was the coffee shop on the 2nd level, overlooking the beach. Always had snacks and beverages from 7-11. Ladies working there are sweet. Love that you don't have to worry about your towels being taken. Just visit the Club near the bar, to get fresh towels, drop off used ones...it is simple. The SPA seemed nice from what i saw of it. All be it, a bit on the expensive side. These ladies are not RMT's but the massage was very good. Check in was a bit of a drag, our room wasn't ready...and lets face it , after a long day of travelling, you just want to get to your room , change and hit the beach. The water was clean, no accumulation of seaweed. Grooming was done daily and garbage was picked up often. Tourists can be very inconsiderate of their environement. Checkout was quick and painless. I didn't see the need myself for a butler, other than getting daily text messages sent to you and the odd booking of services. There was little for them to do. They do try hard, greet you everyday. Buy cigars on the beach! Vendors are licenced and product is good. Buffets were very good, we ate at them the most...the only issue was any dietary requirements ( GF) were not really addressed other than prepackaged muffins and sometimes buns. I'm glad I brought my own breads with me. Beach is long but not very wide at the adult section. You feel some days that you're being sat on top of. Evening entertainment was of high quality and shows were varied. We give this resort an overall 3.5 star rating not a 5 for sure.
